Meet The Families
Naruto feel his heart pounding out of nervousness as he approached a certain building with gift and he knock on the front door few times then wait. He don't have to wait any longer when the door open swiftly to reveal Tamamo with beaming smile. "Naru-kun, you're here!" She hugged him before she break away as she take a step aside with wagging tail, "Come in, come in."
"Thanks for having me over." Naruto scratched his head bashfully as he entered his girlfriend's house and he look around out of curiosity until he hear a voice to his right.
"Hello, you must be Tamamo's boyfriend, Uzumaki Naruto." The said blonde turned his head to see a smiling anthro kitsune in her twenties with four tails and he also notice a young teenager anthro kitsune girl with long bangs fidgeting behind the young adult. "Welcome to Fushimi household, I'm Tenko and that is our young sister, Osaki."
"H-H-Hello." Osaki squeaked out timidly.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you two." He bowed politely, after all they're his girlfriend's family.
"Um, what's this box for?" The young of Fushimi sisters asked him curiously.
"Ah, it's a food souvenir from my hometown." Naruto scratched his head with his free hand, "My grandma recommend me to give it to you guys as a gift since…"
"MAMA'S HERE!" A door slide open swiftly to reveal a petite woman in shrine outfit and she swiftly grabbed the box from the blinking delinquent. "Thank you for bring it!"
"…And you must be Inari Okami." The delinquent muttered.
"Mm?" Inari stared up at him with slow blinks until she realize something, "Ah, that's right. You're a kitsune hanyo, correct? I forget that Tamamo told me this tidbit."
"Kinda, I'm quarter kitsune." Naruto replied.
"I see, I see." The goddess nodded few times before she turn her head to the Fushimi sisters, "Why don't you show him to the living room? I'll taking this souvenir to other room." She carried the box off with a drool as she disappear into the room that she come out from and everyone stare at the door in silence.
"…Is she usually like that?" He turned his head to others with raised eyebrow.
"Only when souvenirs are involved." Tenko giggled, "Tamamo will show you the way while Osaki and I fetch some teas and snacks for you."
"It's this way, Naru-kun!" Tamamo dragged his arm to the direction of the living room as she skipped with a beaming smile and her sisters went to the kitchen. She led him into a living room then seat him at table, "Here." She sit down next to him with wagging tail, "It look like you make a good first impression with my sisters and Inari."
"You think so?" Naruto scratched his head hopefully while he take another glance at the living room.
"Yup!" She said, "Inari would have kick you out right away and Tenko-nee-chan may play one or two evil trick on you but they didn't."
"Oh, that's good they didn't." He blinked owlishly few times before Tenko and Osaki walk in with trays and he notice that the young sister have a bandage wrap around her forehead. "What happened?"
"Oh, this silly girl bump her head on the cabinet." Tenko set the table with a amused giggle.
"I accidentally open it too f-fast." Osaki blushed embarrassingly, "I-I'm just this c-clumsy."
"Hehe, it happen often and we can't help but to worry about her a little." Tamamo said and her boyfriend don't know what to say about it.
"C-Can you tell us how y-you meet each other?" The young kitsune asked with her eye peeking out under her bangs, "Tama-onee-chan never told us that."
"Did I forget to tell you that?" Tamamo placed index finger on her chin with a blink.
"Well…" Naruto recalled the memory inside his head, "I was walking around the town to get used to the layout because I was new to the area and I happen to come across Tama-chan when she was getting hit on and harassed by bunch of sleezy guys. She look very uncomfortable when she tried to turn them down politely but these guys won't let it up so I jumped in…"
'I bet he told them a lie that he's her boyfriend and led her away.' Osaki guessed with a shiny eyes.
"And bust these bastards' skulls up then kick their asses away." He said proudly and the young kitsune withered at that. There goes a sweet romantic moment, the young girl wonder if that only happen in movie.
"Hehe, I fall for him the very moment he saved me in a manly way." Tamamo smiled at the memory of their first meeting, "I did everything I can think of to make him accompany me for a while and I end up treating him to ramen then we become a couple after that."
"Yeah, we just clicked right away." Naruto scratched his head with a blush and laughter.
'My, youngsters sure move faster nowadays that it's so scary.' Tenko cupped her right cheek before she sneak a glance at her youngest sister, she hope Osaki won't fall for a random person at first sight and rush into relationship like their sister. Little does she know is that Osaki is a easy girl who will fall for anyone as soon as they show her kindness. The Fushimi sisters use some time to get knowing the hanyo then leave the couple to their device…While keeping a watchful eye on them in Tenko's and Inari's case.
"I'm glad you're coming with me." Tamamo beamed at Nakki and Mikki as they walked together down the street, "I'm really nervous about meeting Naru-kun's family."
"It's normal." Nakki replied, "And we want to support you when we meet them."
"More like we want to check his mom and grandma out to see what they're like." Mikki whispered to the slim girl.
"Quiet, you." The slim girl shushed her best friend. It was partially reason why they tag along with their kitsune friend, they were just curious but she doesn't want Tamamo to know that they know the truth.
"Ah, here it is." The kitsune stopped in front of a house before she check the address on a piece of paper in her hand, "That is the right place." She put the paper away then stare up at the house, standing still beside her shuddering tail.
"Don't be nervous, Tama-chan." Mikki patted the said girl's back, "We're here with you."
"R-Right." Tamamo gulped slightly before she take a deep breath as she approached the door to ring the bell, "Here we go…" They wait until they hear some footsteps getting close to the door before it open to reveal a woman in black dress with green apron. She have a long red hair and violet eyes with slit pupils, what catch the girls' attention are pair of fox ears that stick out on top of her head and thick fluffy tail that coil around her waist. The woman's eyes gaze over them until they land on Tamamo, staring at her for few moments.
"Ah, you must be Naruto's girlfriend, Fushimi Tamamo." The woman smiled down to the said girl, "Naruto talk a lot about you."
"H-Hai, I am!" Tamamo nodded rapidly out of nervous before she gestured to her friends, "T-These are my friends, Nakki and Mikki."
"Nice to meet you." Both girls said almost at same time.
"Nice to meet you too, I'm Uzumaki Kushina." The redhead replied as she take a step aside to welcome them in, "Come in. Naruto is out running an errand for me." The teenagers enter the house as they examine the interior of the house from foyer and the mother led them to living room. "Okaa-chan, we have guests." The girls almost notice another person in the living room as soon as they walk in, the woman turn out to be an anthro fox woman with red fur, red eyes with slits, her long red hair up in bun and nine tails. She was wearing a green hanten over kimono-like dress and she was drinking a tea cup over an opening album.
"Ah, hello there." The anthro woman smiled warmly at the girls, "You must be Naru-chan's friends and girlfriend. I am Uzumaki Chiyo, Naruto's grandma."
"It's nice to meet you." The teenagers gave the elder kitsune a polite bow before Mikki peek up to her with curious expression, "Say, can I ask what you're looking at?"
"Naru-chan's childhood pictures." Chiyo gained a mischievous grin, "Would you like to see them?"
"Yes, please!" Tamamo clenched her fists close to her face with starry eyes and the girls were almost immediately at Chiyo's side.
"Will you like some drinks other than tea?" Kushina snickered at the girls.
"Water will be fine." Nakki replied politely, "Thank you." The smiling redhead leave the room and the girls turn to the album.
"Let me show you my favorite picture of him with me." Chiyo turned the pages with a snicker until she stop on a picture that show a four year old Naruto, completely covered in mud, smearing mud all over Chiyo's, who appear to be a human woman in her late fifties with red-and-white hair, dress and he have tears in his eyes with childish pout. "Naru-chan was so upset that I 'steal' his ramen that he ran out in backyard and spray water all over the garden so he can roll around in it then ran back in to do that." She giggled, "He made a lot of mess that his mother have to bath him." She turn the page to show Kushina struggling to put crying boy into bathtub while pulling her hair and the girls laughed at that. The delinquent's grandma show them more embarrassing pictures of Naruto, Kushina join them as soon as she return with snacks and drinks.
"I'm back!" Naruto's voice announced from the entrance, following by sound of closing door.
"We're in here." Kushina called with a wicked smirk, "Showing the girls some pictures!"
"Oh, Tama-chan and girls are here?" Naruto walked in as he set a bag down, "What pic…" He froze as soon as he recognize the album in front of the girls, "Oh kami, no!"
"Oh kami, yes!" Both Kushina and Chiyo have a shit-eating grin on their faces.
"You look so cute." Tamamo giggled at her boyfriend.
"Yeah, you're quite a troublemaker back then, huh?" Nakki chuckled.
"Ooh, Chiyo, tell me about this one." Mikki pointed at a random picture while giving the gobsmacked delinquent a teasing glint.
"DON'T LOOK, YOU GUYS!" Naruto was about to ran over to stop them out of embarrassment but his mother swiftly lock him in headlock, "LET ME GO, MOM!"
"NO, SUFFER!" Kushina grinned evilly, "THAT'S PAYBACK FOR EVERYTHING!"
"MOOOOOOOM!" The delinquent squirmed in his mother's lock and the girls enjoy the album as they listen to his grandma's stories to his chagrin. It took a while until he manage to convince them to get know each other…As he hide the rest of his childhood albums.
And that end the third chapter of TSDB!
The couple has meet each other's families, even if it's only for short time. Nothing interesting.
What's next for the couple? Will we ever see the couple going on dates or not? What'll happen next? Let's find out in next chapter!
