Assignment Earth[1]—revisited: Even though this wasn't my favorite episode, the beginning of the show was really good. It was promising; the fight in the beginning was awesome. Spock's nerve pinch was useless, and Gary Seven's strength was greater. Here, I focus on a little snippet of the episode that takes place after Gary Seven is stunned and taken to the brig. In the second five-year mission, with the crew of the Enterprise reunited, Kirk and the crew are selected to bring the telepathic Betazoid world into the Federation. Even with a brand new, vibrant expert on telepathic species aboard, the crew struggles to accept a people who KNOW YOUR EVERY TOUGHT! Only Spock seems ready for the mission, until a certain 7 year cycle returns.

Starfleet Command has become interested in the Insonti technology which transformed their most prominent starship captain into an infant some weeks ago. The Enterprise has been assigned to perform research, hopefully producing an allegiance with the Insonti people. And after all, observing the effects on a non-human species is the next logical step...
