Beckett said she was ready for a baby, but when she finds out she's pregnant...it turns her world upside down. Maybe she wasn't all that ready, after all.

This AU story takes place after the events of episode 3x13, Knockdown. Kate can't forget about the passionate kiss she and Castle shared... read what happens... Castle shows up on Kate's doorstep in Knockout (3x24) begging her to stop pursuing her mother's killer, but events and situations change that lead to revelations and realizations. One-shot.

Kate feels her eyes burn with tears and pads out to the kitchen to get a glass of water. They'll talk in the morning. She'll call in, go in late to work, maybe take the whole day off. Whatever it takes. Because they are way overdue for this conversation. A TSATQ post-ep.

A sequel to A Season in Hell. Castle is recovering from a gunshot wound intended for Beckett during Montgomery's funeral.

Beckett's escort to cousin Sofia's wedding bails at the last minute. Castle swoops in, eager for a night out with her after the progress they've made in "Sucker Punch." Season 2 AU. Complete.
