Kate Beckett finally comes to terms that she loves Rick Castle, just how can she tell him? A story with lots of twists. The story is being told through Kate's eyes.

"What do you want to do?" she asks. He gives her a crooked smile and tugs her close again, burying his face in her hair. "Cuddle." A 5x03 post-ep.

"We're gonna make it through this, Katie," he chokes out, his hand pressing against her head. And because this is the first time she's felt a glimmer of truth in his words, she slips the little guy into his pocket, pressing it into her father's body, a reminder that even on the worst days, there's a possibility for joy. Inspired by Kate's story in 5x03. COMPLETE.

A different, *Alternate ending to Always.* For my hubby who wishes that Rick would have had the nerve to tell Kate to take a flying leap for the hell she put him through during season 4 and kicked her out the front door instead of mauling her against it, lol... but I couldn't quite make it that angsty/dramatic.

Quick post-ep for 5x03. Castle has to wonder what's next...
