This is Part 1 of a multiple part fanfic. All the other episodes will be done in one chapter, this is the only exception because I want to see others' reactions before continuing. I haven't seen an update on WHDAAA for a very long time, so I'm going to assume it's dead, and adopt it. Nobody really 100% owns a fanfic anyways lol, if that happened, no Re:zero fanfics would exist since Tappei never really accepted them. Anyways, have some short fun, because we're all tired of waiting.

Emilia was completely and utterly emotionally tired. She had seen the person dearest to her die, again, and again, and again. This one was the most emotional one as of yet. Seeing him getting taken over by another person she holds very dear to her, and then getting killed by the one she wants him to make up with was just the final straw, she started sobbing uncontrollably onto Subaru's Body.

"Why does he have to suffer, what has he done, why does the world hate my knight, so, so much" Emilia whispered into her knight's chest. The thought that anyone who makes contact with her will just make their life hell was cemented into Emilia's mind.

The rest of the Emilia Camp weren't fairing much better to be honest.

Beatrice was once again at a loss for words. At the beginning she was already feeling bad enough for not being with her contractor from the very start, but this was something else entirely. Juice was also a person she'd known for a long time, and seeing him basically cause the murder of her contractor that she loved so dearly was the closet thing to breaking beatrice that has ever happened to her.

She was going to ball out all her tears just like Emilia was currently doing, but then she remembered Otto's words. After all the deaths she had to watch, the moment felt like so long ago, but his words now started to resonate with her.

-Flashback to chapter 4 of the original fic-

"We can't be afraid every time Natsuki-San dies, we shouldn't be surprised that something will go wrong and he will die. It's not what we are here for. If we despair and hang on to everytime he encounters death, we might be more jaded than him." Otto started the speech to the rest of the cast watching the journey of Subaru.

"Natsuki-san's sanity is broken. He has been through so much ever since he came into our world, we are what's holding him together. We need to make sure that we can smile when he wakes up. That's all he asks of us. So we need to watch through this without wallowing or crying about each and every reset." Otto said, not quite finished yet

"We need to stay ourselfs!" Otto finished his speech to the cast.

-Flashback of chapter 4's speech over-

The words of the speech finally came through to Beatrice completely and clearly at this moment. Beatrice knew she was not as strong as her contractor when it comes to holding back emotions. He once told her tears are acceptable and natural, so those should be allowed, but she can't allow herself to turn into a mess every death, if not for herself, at least for him.

"I need to stay strong for you, I suppose" Beatrice muttered into her mind

After viewing this scene, Rem has finally decided to take the initiative of moving to the front row nearby Subaru since there was a space in between Crusch and Otto. Sadly there wasn't a spot right next to Subaru, so Rem had to deal with being just close to him for now. When Rem was moving the other camps looked at her, but didn't say anything.

Once Rem sat down in her seat, she promptly resumed her crying into her knees at the sight of her most hated enemy, the witch cult, killing her most beloved person, the person that she even loved more than her sister. If the warden didn't suppress it, she might have subconsciously brought out her horn.

Otto and Garfield were on the same boat. They were crushed again and again, and were now in disbelief at what they were seeing. Even when RBD was revealed to them, they had some hope that all of Subaru's deaths were quick and easy, but after this viewing, all the hope was finally dead. Now all they could do was feel angry at the ones who killed him, and be sad for his torture.

"Things keep getting worse and worse for Natsuki-San, I didn't think this hell for him could get and deeper" Otto said in a defeated tone

"Cap'n really does keep getting the short end of the stick, eh" Garfield responded to Otto's statement. Garfield was furious at Julius and Felix, but for now at least, it was trying to keep it in for his Cap'n since he really cared about em scums...

Ram went down to her sister's seat, her eyes were still unreadable like they've almost always been. Ram consoled her dearest sister to the best of her abilities, even though she has helped Rem whenever she had nightmares about the oni massacre Ram still wasn't the best when trying to make people feel better.

Felix was now able to at least start breathing again, but that's really isn't saying much. His eyes look completely dead, and his responses are slow and usually unclear. He is very much alive, but looks… dead.

Crusch was in complete shock and grief, but had to hold it down as best as she could because she needed to make sure Felix wouldn't go on the deep end. To see the man she recently just grew to love being tortured by the world itself over, and over, and over again was terrible. This viewing will surely change the way she sees life and death forever.

Julius wasn't doing so well either. At the current moment, he was not Julius the finest knight. Right now, he was the bastard that killed the person he called his friend. He put his hand on his face to try to hide the last bit of honor he had while crying, but in reality it didn't do anything in the grand scheme of things. The anastasia camp wanted to help him, no, everyone in the theater that was still somewhat emotionally stable wanted to help him, but they all knew the best thing to do was to leave him to his thoughts,

Petra was still hanging to Frederica, while Felt was hanging onto Reinhard. Both were full of all kinds of emotions. Fear, sadness, anger, shock. They just clung to the nearest person they could trust as a way to try to calm themselves. Petra really didn't think the Hero that has saved her many times felt this kinda pain without anyone knowing, the same goes for felt.

Wilhelm and Reinhard had the same exact reaction. Guilt. Why weren't they there for the boy that meant so much to them. Wilhelm was very close to this whole scene, why didn't he save the boy that gave him the chance to avenge his wife. As for Reinhard, he was the sword saint damn it! He should have been there to support all of his friends, yet alias, he wasn't.

"Death and Subaru seem to be greater friends than most people here are with him" Al said under his breath. He pondered what it meant to be a hero, and once again, if this is what being a hero untailed, then he'd rather be anything else.

Anastasia's idea of the Emilia Camp taking terrible care of Subaru was set in stone if it somehow already wasn't. All of this pain and suffering started with Emilia abandoning Subaru, and Roswall not doing anything about the witch cultists in his domain.

"It seems like I need to make my plan to get Subaru to my camp more aggressive," Anastasia thought, more determined than ever to get him to her side. She was a greedy gal afterall.

"Warden-San, you said this was his last death in this arc. That means he's done for now right?" Rem questioned. After her sister consoled her for a bit, she was finally back to proper speaking level, but that wasn't really saying much.

Yes, I will say this again. This is his last death in this arc

It seems like you guys are more emotionally stable…

"That may be an overstatement" Otto mused to himself but didn't really try to stop anyone from hearing it

"I'd have to agree with Otto-San, the room isn't in the best shape right now" Reinhard followed up. He was still struck with guilt, but compared to the rest of the cast, he was doing fine.

Currently Emilia, Julius, and Felix were the ones doing the worse. Emilia was sobbing, albeit less than before, Felix was dead inside, and Julius was still covering his face to avoid others seeing him.

I know that not everyone here is the best right now, but the show must go on. Not to be rude, but we can't be here forever

"What are you? A monster! I've seen him die over, and over again. I'm supposed to be a healer, but each one of these loops I've failed, now in this one I've seen him die by my own hands, and you want me to just move on!" Felix screamed, seemingly regaining some sense of life.

I feel bad for Subaru just as much as you do Felix, but the point of this viewing is to prepare you with the knowledge to help him in the future, not for you to be depressed for the rest of your life. For us to be able to do that, we must continue the viewing.

"What do yo-" Felix was about to scream back a response, but then his master's hand clutched onto the shoulder of Felix.

"Felix, I know how you feel, in a sense I feel it too, but the wander is correct, we need to continue the viewing for Subaru's sake. He also said this was his last one, so it should be a loop to celebrate, not despair" Crusch said sternly to Felix trying to help him out during this tough time.

"Thank you Crusch-Sama, that has calmed me down a bit" Felix said while sitting back down in his seat and looking down. Trying to make himself life as small as possible to the world after all the recent events.

Emilia stopped sobbing on Subaru. Even if Crusch's words were meant for another, it had still affected Emilia. "My knight went through all of these troubles just for me, so I have almost infinite debt to him. Watching his story is the least I can do" Emilia thought to herself

Julius also perked up a bit, finally letting his hand down from his face. "Even if my sins burned away my rights of being his friend, I shall finish this arc, and the arc after. If not me, for him. Julius thought with a renewed vigor

It seems your words spread quite nicely across the theater Crusch. Thank you for calming everyone down.

"I appreciate the kind words" Crusch said dryly

Now, let's begin the final part of this arc.

Season 1 Episode 13 Director's Cut.

Begin.

The scene starts with quick flashbacks of the events that happened prior to all of this.

"Boy?" You can hear a distorted voice of a man saying

"This can't be" Subaru thought to himself

"What's going on?" Petra said in a worried tone

"It seems he is going through the process of returning by death, his consciousness should return to normal level shortly, I suppose" Beatrice replied

"What's wrong?" The distorted voice now known to be Ricardo said while his face was taking up the whole screen

"Oh look, is it just me or do I see a total hottie" Ricardo complimented himself

"Sometimes I wonder why I let'em into my camp" Anastasia thought jokingly

Subaru looks confused for a moment before looking around at all the people near him to see where his checkpoint updated.

While he was in the middle of doing that Felix came up a bit his ears playfully.

"Haaaaa!" Subaru screamed out

"You were spaced out so I had to pick on you, Nyow that was a satisfying reaction

The room bursted out into laughter, except for a certain few.

Emilia tried to not giggle, she had just seen so much pain and suffering, but her knights' antics with others are the best at making Emilia forget her worries.

Otto, Garfield, Crusch, Ricardo + Mimi, and Al were on the same boat as Emilia, except instead of giggling, Garfield and Ricardo were laughing as if this were the funniest thing he has seen in his life.

Felix just gave a small and quick smile before reverting back to his previous state.

Julius and Anastasia were currently unreadable.

"You really do know how to lighten the mood" Crusch said to her servant and friend

"I guess you could say so" Felix said dryly

"Felis?" Subaru said in confusion, still not 100 percent registering where in the world he was

"Who else would it be? Did you inhale too much of the White Whale's Fog" Felix stated back

"Uh no… i'm fine" Subaru said "That told me what I wanted to know" Subaru continued on with his statement

"So this means my save point was updated?"

Paradisus-Paradoxum Plays

"Thank the heavens his save point was after the white whale" Frederica said with a relieved tone

"Barusu is quite lucky is checkpoint reset, if it didn't he wouldn't have been lucky enough to take down the whie whale again" Ram stated in her usual sarcastic tone

Everyone stared at Ram for a second for contributing Subaru's win against the whale to just luck, but since it was now commonly known that it was just how Ram was, they decided to throw away there malice and not say anything back

Except for an unexpected person

"Raaaaaammmm, Subaru's win against the white whale was fated to happen, if his checkpoint didn't move, it wouldn't matter, since he would just kill it as many times as he needed to. That's just the typpppppppeee of person Natsuki Subaru is" Roswaal out of all people replied to Ram's remark

"I'm sorry for the improper speech Roswaal-Sama" Ram said with a monotonous voice

"My contractor would find the best way to beat the white whale over and over again. He is just too great for a thing like it to do anything, in fact" Beatrice remarked how great her contractor is.

"There are a few things I've realized about the witch cult." Subaru said to the group of mercenaries

"Does anyone know of like, … a power you can use to overwrite someone's consciousness, so you can psychologically possess them" Subaru questioned in a suspicious way

"In other words, you think the Sin Archbishops may have such an ability" Julius back Subaru's statement up somewhat

"Yeah…. I call it possession" Subaru stated once again to the group

"At the time I thought it was a bit weird how he all of a sudden knew that, but to think he had to go through hell to get it was terrible" Julius said to no one in particular

"I guess looking at a seemingly happy scene with different context can change everything about it" Al chimped which was quite rare

"I was toying with someone that just came back to life after I killed them…" Felix whispered, the only people that could hear it were Wilhelm and Crusch since they were right next to Felix at the moment.

"I really wish I could do more for him" Crusch thought to herself while looking at her demi human servant

"It's how he stays alive, it would explain how he keeps popping up everywhere, right?" Subaru said while the screen now showed Julius's face pondering on what Subaru said

"I once saw a research account of a similar subject in an old book, it's a type of magic that has been lost, but the technique only works under certain conditions" Julius replied to Subaru's questions with some facts he read up on. As the finest knight, you need to know everything and anything you can.

"Only witch cultists, and only a limited number of those, are thought to be capable of it" Julius added on to his previous remarks

"And those would be the fingers?" Felix said while sitting right next to Wilhelm

"Most likely those are the user's spare bodies. It's quite a tasteless arrangement" Julius said

"So, if the fingers were wiped out…" Subaru tried to say but didn't get to finish his sentence

"His soul would have no were to go, and that'd be the end of him" Julius finished off the previous sentence

"We should eliminate the fingers in the forest before going to eliminate sloth directly, that's my conclusion" Julius finally finished off

Subaru then raised his hand in an awkward way. "Guys, there is one more thing I need to say… Sorry, but I don't think it's only the fingers. I think he may be able to possess me, too. What do you think I should do?" Subaru finished off his awkward statements

"Huh?!" Everyone said at once

"When is Big Bro gonna catch a break for once?" Felt moaned out in frustration. She once heard that nice guys finish last, and Subaru might be the epitome of the statement.

"I do agree that Subaru-Dono has it really rough, even at my old age I can't imagine someone that had it harder than him." Wilhelm supported felt's previous statements. Subaru had just fought the white whale that killed his wife, and now has to fight the witch cult. That's not even mentioning all the death's he has to suffer.

"No matter what is thrown in my hero's path, I'm sure that he'll overcome it. Though, I do have to wonder why Subaru-kun does get the short end of the stick." Rem remarked. The cast were surprised by this, since they thought she was still in despair, but it seems she reverted back to her usual self. It felt a little unnatural compared to how long she usually takes.

"Was it because of Crusch that everyone felt better? Or maybe they just got more use to the idea of Subaru dying. That is sick." Anastasia thought to herself

"Hey, Julius" Garfield shouted out, surprising the purple haired man in question.

"Since the Ward dude said this was the loop we all know, tell us what happens. It's the least you can do." Garfield finished off his remark while adding a bit of malice at the end. Garfield in the back of his head knew it wasn't Felix's or Julius's fault that they had to kill Subaru, but he wanted someone to get his feelings out on, and they were convenient.

"W-" Julius was about to start but was cut off by the warden

I would like for you all to see, rather than hear. I must ask that you refrain from saying much until we get to that point.

"TO HELL WITH THAT!" Garfield Screamed out.

Garfield was about to get out of his seat to do who knows what before Otto got up and grabbed his shoulder.

"Garfield, everything and more you want to know will be shown. Please calm down before you do anything you'll regret" Otto said to garfield

"Tsh, my amazing self wouldn't do that" Garfield mumbled before going back to his seat

"Hero's are always made from struggle, that quote seems to still hold true to even Natsuki Subaru, the defier of fate" Reinhard thought to himself before the next clip played.

Multiple flashbacks played in fast repetition just like the beginning of the viewing. Some words can be heard clearly in the jumbled mess of flashbacks. Some of the statement connect with others, while some seem to be one off.

"You silver hair half-elf."

"Margrave mathers endorse a half-devil? Utter foolishness!"

"Then will you also apologize for being born?"

"You know I had hope for you, I thought maybe you, only you wouldn't give me special treatment"

"I can't do that, I can't look at you the way I look at others"

"It's impossible"

"I'm not connected with the witch at all"

Then suddenly the flashbacks and voices stop to show a newly awakened emilia laying on her bed.

"What was that..?" Petra said in a confused tone. It all happened so fast, and there were so many people at once that it confused the little girl greatly.

"I think that was one of my Nightmares, it all seems like a blur now, but I was greatly troubled back then" Emilia responded to Petra's worries trying to comfort her a bit, or at least that's what Emilia thought she was doing.

"Emilia-Sama spends too much time worrying about Barusu" Ram responds once again in a monotonous voice. Even though Ram did care about Subaru, she was too prideful to admit it.

"I can't help it Ram!" Emilia responded back to Ram somewhat angry, somewhat embarrassed

"So she did feel guilty after all.." Anastasia thought to herself once again

Puck was the first thing Emilia saw when she woke up.

"Lia, Your Forehead is all wrinkled" Puck stated in a calming voice.

Emilia then proceeded to smile while getting up from her bed.

"Good morning puck" Emilia greeted her spirit

"You're early today" Emilia continued

"Good morning Lia" Puck greeted his "daughter" back

"I just woke up earlier than usual… that's a lie, the truth was, I'm worried about you, you've had a rough time lately…"
