"Hey, dear, are you ready for the last episode of this show?" Pandora asked.
"Yeah. I wanna see how things ended for us. And I wanna see the one event that the gods told me earlier." Subaru said.
"Huh? What do you mean?" Pandora asked.
"As what I've heard, it is what they called, "Director's cut." Kenichi said.
"Director's cut? Like some sort of a short scene before the movie ends? Wait, I haven't remembered anything about what happened. Before I left their world, I met Pandora and got her powers. Then, I knew what happened to Rem, but what could this director's cut have?" Subaru said.
"What did you do before you get home to your family?" Halibel asked.
"I and Emilia were on the same carriage with the kids and, that's it, I got myself teleported at home." Subaru said.
'So he didn't know what happened to everyone's memories about Rem. But knowing that she was already defeated by the Archbishop of Gluttony and Greed, and everyone lost the memories of her except him.
So the gods gave Subaru only some straight to the point information about the future and not all the things that happened in the future.' Pandora thought.
"Are you prepared for the final scene of Subaru and Emilia later on, Pandora?" Halibel asked.
"Of course! Is there any problem?" Pandora asked with her eyebrow raised up.
"Maybe you'll secretly cry in a river as you see him-" Halibel was stopped by Subaru who covers his mouth.
"Yeah! Yeah, let's get things going!" Subaru chuckled.
'To be fair honest, I really hated that last part. And I despise those scenes, to be honest.' Pandora thought.
"Everyone, listen! We have decided to tell your future after this episode. So please enjoy watching the last episode." Scorpio said.
"After this episode... ugh, can we just go home already?" Priscilla asked.
"Who said you can go home after this? Haven't you forgot we killed you all back from your world?" Madara coldly asked, making them stand back on them.
"You'll still see more of Subaru's sufferings later on! So be prepared! Kukukuku!" Scorpio exclaimed.
"There's a slight concern weighing on my mind. I would like to take a see number from our forces to eliminate them." Wilhelm said as the scene shows the carriages are ready to go and the kids beside Emilia are playing while waiting.
"Is there any way I can help?" Emilia asked.
"Emilia-sama, head to safety in the carriage. Do not release the children's hands. You truly are master and servant. Your eyes look just like his." Wilhelm said, which made Emilia think about Subaru.
"Wilhelm-san, I-" Emilia stopped talking as Wilhelm leaves her.
"Hahahaha! What a poor half-elf, getting ignored just like that!" Priscilla said.
"Ignored? But I already said what I should say. But, if I did a mistake out there, I truly apologize." Wilhelm said.
"No, no. It's fine. You've said already what you wanted to say to me. No worries." Emilia said.
The scene shifted to Julius now taking on Betelguese as he slashes his sword to the incoming Unseen Hands of the Archbishop.
"This cannot be! You cannot use such means, such tricks, to make light of me and of my devotion!" Betelguese roared and released more of his Unseen Hands. Unlike before, the hands managed to wound Julius in the gut and shoulder. Subaru also felt the damage the knight has received.
"This is some crappy game where, once you're caught, it's over. We must be crazy to entrust our lives to it, you and me both!" Subaru said.
"My body is slowly getting used to this. Shall we speed it up?" Julius asked.
"Go for it! Don't worry, I'll keep up!" Subaru said. Julius now runs faster than before and erases all of the hands in an instant.
"Wow." Subaru cooed in amazement.
"The hands itself now managed to hurt Julius at such speed. Surely that Archbishop is one villain not to underestimate." Anastasia said.
"Who could've thought that the Archbishop himself is also a fool? To think that he is already invincible because no one can see his hands and now, he hates them for using such things against his authority? Ah, my mind shambles." Al reenacted Betelguese and made some people laugh.
"Don't tell me you are... the Sloth itself?" Nezuko asked.
"I can't be the Sloth, Nezuko-sama. Because if I became the Archbishop of Sloth, them my lady's brain will tremble forever." Al said.
"Huh?! What kind of statement is that?!" Priscilla angrily asked.
"I would love to see her brain tremble like the blender shaking her brain inside of it." Subaru said.
"Impossible. Impossible, impossible, impossible. Impossible! Why? How can it be? I thought I was loved! I am loved! By the witch, the witch, the witch, the witch! The witch!" Betelguese roared in anger.
"It's time I finished you once and for all!" Julius said. He now dashes forward and the Unseen Hands are now rushing towards him. He jumps high and slashes every hand around him.
"Al Clauseria!" Julius releases a rainbowish magic blast into Betelguese and sends him away crashing to the wall. Julius lands on the ground and directly charges into him.
"I will not let you do that! Ul Dona!" Betelguese creates a barrier of rocks around him to protect himself.
"Burn, fighting spirit! Howl, the magic ball! When I get serious, I can pitch over 120km/h!" Subaru yelled and fires a red magic spirit into the Archbishop.
"What is this?" Betelguese asked and he got blown up by Subaru's attack. A stab can be heard as Julius gets Betelguese through the chest.
"They got him!" Lucas exclaimed.
"Subaru's attack sealed the deal for the Archbishop's defeat!" Dyne added.
"Subaru-kun..." Rem uttered in a happy smile.
"You lost because you belittled him as powerless. My blade of all six elements together will slice your very soul apart. Scatter to the rainbow's end." Julius said.
"I will not let it end! I have been nothing but diligent! The witch's love bathes my entire body!" Betelguese yelled at Subaru who felt a strange presence on his body.
"Julius, undo Nect!" Subaru said.
"Very well." Julius replied and he undoes it. The body of the Archbishop turned into a lifeless one and Subaru suddenly raised his hand in joy.
"Ah... My brain... is trembling!"
"Yeah, just tremble while you wait! I'll play along with you, just this once..."
"What are you saying? Who are you talking to?"
"To the witch that you've been waiting for!"
"What?! Did he transferred his soul to Subaru-kun's body?!" Rem asked in shock.
"Julius! What happened in here?" Ferris asked.
"Don't worry. He got this." Julius said.
"I see. He wanted Betelguese to see the Witch for himself. But, why would Subaru-dono do that?" Wilhelm asked.
"To make that fool suffer." Pandora said.
"Hey, they might hear you from here, dear." Subaru said.
"I'm sorry." Pandora smiled.
"I can Return by Death to-" Subaru now allows Betelguese to enter a dark foggy place where the witch lies and the Archbishop himself sees the witch with his own eyes and excitement can be seen from his face.
"At last! I've waited so long. For your love, your merciful love, your affectionate love..." Betelguese uttered. The black hands of the witch approach his hands but instead of touching it, it slips past through it.
"No. You are not the one." The witch said and throws Betelguese away from Subaru's body.
"I'm back!" Subaru grunted.
"Denied! That ugly creep got rejected by the witch!" Mimi exclaimed.
"What does she mean that he's not the one?" Crusch asked.
"Maybe she meant that Betelguese isn't the one who the witch wants to meet or see in person. But if Subaru-kyun always mentions that curse, why he can't meet the witch just like Betelguese?" Ferris asked.
"For me, there were two souls sharing in one body. And Subaru maybe has an idea to let the other soul meet the witch and make the curse itself throw the other soul away. That's for my own understanding." Puck said.
"But since Barusu can't meet the witch like that due to him might lose his body, he can only grasp its hands and the pain the witch gives to him." Ram said.
"This... can't... be...!" Betelguese uttered.
"I was prepared to keep trying until you left me, but you gave up after one go? How cowardly can you be?" Subaru asked.
"This time, I will guide you to your end." Julius said and stabs the sword into his chest.
"Why... Why, why, why? After everything, I've done for you! Witch! Witch!" Betelguese ranted and one Unseen Hand crumbles the cliff above them.
"Give me your love..." Betelguese uttered and his head got covered by a huge chunk of rock.
"Petelguese Romanée-Conti... You were Sloth, all right." Subaru said. He grabs the gospel and opens it. He noticed the whole gospel has some pages that are blank.
"Guese..." Beatrice uttered. Rem noticed about this and got curious.
'Why is she always mentioning the name of that Archbishop as if they were too close to each other?' Rem thought.
"Subaru, let us hurry back to the village. Ferris just contacted me. It seems there is a problem." Julius said. The two quickly returned to the village and meet Ferris out there.
"The five stones that were in the merchants' inventory are gone." Ferris said.
"We unloaded all our cargo so we could transport the villagers, but the fire stones along are missing." Otto added.
"What does that mean?" Subaru asked.
"Someone left the stones on board when they loaded the villagers." Ferris replied.
"They were on Ketty-san's carriage. There are enough magic stones to easily blow away a small village." Otto said. Subaru remembers what happened before and a possibility it might happen later on.
"Ketty's carriage is taking Emilia-sama and the children to the capital." Ferris said. Emilia was having thoughts of Subaru before leaving.
"Emilia-sama. It's time." The villager said.
"What's wrong?" Dyne asked.
"Are you okay?" Mildo asked.
"I'm sorry. It's nothing. Come on, let's hurry!" Emilia said and climbs up to the carriage. They don't know that the fire stones under the carriage was there and glowed.
"Just when will the Witch Cult stop shitting around?" Ricardo asked.
"They managed to plant it even everyone is ready and preparing for evacuation." Reinhard said.
"I thought Ketty was taken down by Wilhelm and the others? How did they manage to plant it on Emilia's carriage?" Felt asked.
"Before Ketty was taken down by Wilhelm and the others, he already took those stones and planted it to the carriage, maybe because it's their second option if he fails to join them." Rem replied.
"I see. I didn't think of it very well." Felt said.
"Because you are a rat. Rats don't have that much intelligence." Priscilla said.
"And unlike you, rats can sneak their way to kill you secretly. Without you knowing it, bitch." Felt said.
"What did you call me?!" Priscilla angrily yelled.
"Damn it! My poor man's tendency to use anything at hand backfired!" Subaru whined.
"We have verified that no spell was used to set a trap, but if something were physically rigged in the carriage..." Julius said.
"Ferris, could a land dragon catch up to them?" Subaru asked.
"Once they leave the Mathers domain and get on the Lifaus Highway, it'll be hard to catch them." Ferris replied.
"That still wasn't enough? Even after all that, I still can't..." Subaru uttered in regret.
"Don't give up, Subaru-kun!" Rem said.
"Are we going to see them failing this one again? How unfortunate. Hahahaha!" Priscilla said.
"The next gods will be really pissed at her." Nezuko said with a pout.
"Yeah. And they'll be worse than me in punishing her." Jotaro added.
"Natsuki-san never gives up! I assure you that!" Otto said.
"May I say something? To tell you the truth, I'm in a pretty desperate position right now. If you would accept a trade, I promise to catch up to the carriage that lef-" Otto was stopped by Subaru.
"If there's anything I can do, I'll do it!" Subaru said.
"Decisiveness is a good trait to have, Natsuki-san!" Otto said.
"He never gave up because you helped him. Thank you, Otto." Emilia said.
"W-Well, I helped him with the trade that we've agreed on each other..." Otto uttered while blushing.
"But still, you made him never lose hope to this loop. Thank you!" Emilia said.
"R-Right...!" Otto said in a flustered look.
"What a dick." Ram uttered.
"Hey! Where did that come from?!" Otto cried.
"I'll send Ia with you. I wish I could accompany you myself, but..." Julius uttered as the red spirit gets near Subaru
"You're staying back, Julius. How do you expect to help them with all those injuries? Nyot to mention, your mana hasn't fully regenerated yet." Ferris said.
"You just get some rest. Once this is over, we'll celebrate! I'll make sure to invite you, so don't die." Subaru said.
"Don't you die, either!" Ferris said while waving his hands to him.
"Luck be with you." Julius said.
The two now are on the pursuit to chase Emilia's carriage before something bad will happen.
"Rather than take this road, it's faster to go through the glade to the left. It's the shortest way!" Otto exclaimed and he shifts the carriage to the left.
"Man, your "soul of language" divine protection is amazing." Subaru said.
"I had a hard time learning to control it. Since I can hear all creatures' voices, from land dragons to insects." Otto said.
"But if we choose our path based on what they say, this shortcut will work, and catching up to Emilia and the kids will be easy!" Subaru said.
"What are you talking about? It won't be easy at all!" Otto said as they jumped into the cliff and rushed into the wooden bridge and it got destroyed after they ran past it.
"We're gonna die! At this rate, we're seriously gonna die! This is it for us!" Subaru cried.
Rem smacks Otto after seeing what they've done to chase after Emilia's carriage and some laughed at it.
"She's really protective to Natsuki-san." Anastasia said.
"Well, aside from that, she really loves him." Julius said.
"What is this? I feel a wind hitting me. Honestly, even I have no idea I was capable of this-" Otto stopped as he felt something.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Subaru asked.
"The trees are so loud. The birds and bugs began to make a lot of noise, and then just vanished. Something... Something is coming!" Otto said. Subaru looked behind and the trees slowly fall apart as a black creature now chases them.
"Faster, Otto! Don't get caught, no matter what!" Subaru yelled.
"Impossible! How can he still be alive?!" Julius asked in shock.
"H-Hey... it isn't hands chasing them anymore. It is like... a creature. A black creature made by Beteleguese's Unseen Hands!" Ferris said.
"I wanna see how ugly that thing chases us!" Otto cried.
"You haven't seen it?" Petra asked.
A black creature chases them and the distance between them is really near. Subaru confronts the creature as he is the only one who can see its ability.
"Just how persistent are you, damn it?!" Subaru angrily asked. The creature is known to be Betelguese without his eyes and broken teeth chasing Subaru.
Everyone cried and jumped in horror after seeing Betelguese's body chasing Subaru and Otto. The one who's with Subaru before fainted and Ram catches his body. Emilia and Puck looked at his face with both disgust and fear. Beatrice was also shocked seeing Betelguese's condition.
"Yikes! Now that's Sloth!" Mimi yelled.
"When will that guy stop from creeping out?!" Tivey asked.
"You should've blasted its head, Natsuki-san! Julius!" Hetaro added.
"I know. I should've obliterated his head, only if I knew this will happen." Julius said.
"Disgusting!" Kenichi said.
'He really turned insane huh? Just for Satella's love? What a pity you are, Betelguese.' Pandora thought.
"My body! My flesh body!" Betelguese shrieked. In Lifaus Highway, explosions erupted while Wilhelm's team confronts the Witch Cult.
"It's okay. Hang on tight. There's nothing to fear." Emilia comforted the children as they cry in fear hearing the explosions.
"That old man just ran into someone behind us. They're fighting." Puck said.
"Do you know how many?" Emilia asked.
"A lot. But the old man's strength is nothing to mess with. Seems you and I won't be needed this time. Taking physical form without reason drains mana, and I wouldn't want to end up these kids' plaything." Puck said.
"If we could use your cuteness to distract them from their fear, I think that'd be good in its own way, though." Emilia said.
"You say some scary things, my daughter." Puck said. Their carriage got bumped by a rock and this made them panic.
"Don't worry. Whatever happens, I'll protect you." Emilia said.
"W-We're fine!" Mildo cried.
"You don't have to worry about us!" Dyne said.
"W-We made a promise, so this is nothing!" Lucas exclaimed.
"A promise?" Emilia asked.
"That we wouldn't let you go!" Mildo replied.
"And he'll worry if someone doesn't watch you!" Lucas said.
"Worry about me? Who told you this?" Emilia asked.
"Don't! We can't tell-" Petra was stopped as Mildo yelled.
"Subaru!" Mildo said.
"Subaru said it. He said you get lonely easily, so he was worried!" Lucas said.
"Subaru said... Wait, we weren't supposed to tell her." Dyne said.
"Oh, boy..." Petra uttered with a facepalm. Emilia looked behind and remembers someone while they're traveling away.
"What?! Th-They told her that? Well... I can't blame them if they are really scared at those moments." Subaru said while laughing.
"If you are a kid like them who's afraid of dying, and you might die out there, how can you still not tell everything you hide before you die?" Naoko said.
"But they are still a bunch of good kids. In the future, they'll learn more about why do people tend to keep secrets even in the darkest hours. But for now, let's just laugh at them confessing to their secret to Emilia." Kenichi said.
"Natsuki-san, is something coming up behind us?" Otto asked.
"Just some big, black animal. It has a wild voice and scary face, so you're better off not looking." Subaru said.
"Those things make me all the more curious!" Otto cried.
"Forget it! Just drive! If it chews through me, you're gonna be its next meal." Subaru said.
"Yikes!" Otto cried.
"How many times do I have to play the last level? What about you is slothful now, you uselessly hard worker?" Subaru asked.
"Witch! Satella! Give me... Love! Love! Love! Love! Love! Love! Love! Satella! Satella! Satella!" Betelguese roared.
"She doesn't love you or me... In what kind of rom-com does someone try to squash their love's heart?
I am your opponent. I won't let you past me. And I won't let you set foot near the person up ahead. You can count on that." Subaru said.
"Natsuki-san, you care about me that much?" Otto cried.
"Will you be quiet? I'm trying to make myself look good." Subaru said. The Unseen Hands slowly grabs the carriage's rooftop and stumbles Subaru.
"Take this!" Subaru kicks one Unseen Hand away.
"Natsuki-san, we're leaving the forest!" Otto warned and now they are in an open field.
"Love... Love me. Love alone is everything!" Betelguese roared.
"I can't take you with me to where Emilia is!" Subaru yelled and throws some jars into Betelguese's head.
"I'm gonna need your strength, Julius Juukulius! Rental Goa!" Subaru fires Ia into Betelguese and flames burns the head of the Archbishop. But it was still no good as it managed to hit the carriage and chases.
"Damn, that hurts..." Subaru uttered.
"Give it to me. Hand it over. Relinquish it!" Betelguese uttered with flames on his head.
"Just give up, you damn monster!" One villager yelled.
"Go to hell!"
"Stay away from Subaru-sama!"
"Love yourself in hell!"
"Finish him off, Subaru-sama!"
"The villagers aren't afraid of the Archbishop himself, huh?" Al said.
"You can tell that since they were all saved by Subaru. Man, that guy is truly amazing." Puck said.
"Puck... you really are so cute!" Subaru said while squishing his hands.
"Pervert." Pandora said.
"Hey! What do you mean by that!?" Subaru asked.
"I told you... If you try to enter my body, you're just gonna get hurt!" Subaru said.
"The witch... Satella... Satella! I haven't forgotten a single moment of the things you did for me! Even if you've forgotten, I'll... I'll... With all of my diligence, I'll part with my slothful delf, to repay your love..." Betelguese cried.
"If you had stayed a monster... You might have beaten me!" Subaru said as he throws the Gospel of Betelguese.
"Satella..." Betelguese uttered. He catches the Gospel with his Unseen Hand but Subaru punches him straight to the face, strong enough to put a distance between him.
"I... will not... I won't... let it end. This hasn't ended... It hasn't." Betelguese uttered with a hurt voice. Subaru writes something to the blank page of the Gospel with the blood on his finger.
"No, it's over. As of now, you are "finished"! Subaru shows the word "finished" on the Sloth and the monster looked at him for the last time before getting crushed underneath the carriage.
"Natsuki Subaru!" Betelguese roared for the last time and he was finally taken out.
"This time, stay asleep forever, Petelguese." Subaru uttered.
"Yeah!" Everyone roared in cheers as they see the Sloth Archbishop finally defeated without Subaru getting killed once again. Except for one who feels sorry for his loss.
"He... just wrote something into the Gospel!" Tivey cried.
"Yikes! I don't want to get near Subaru-kun!" Mimi cried.
"Natsuki-san, look!" Otto said as they have reached the Lifaus Highway and saw Wilhelm.
"Wilhelm-san!" Subaru yelled.
"Subaru-dono!" Wilhelm called.
"Where's Emilia?' Subaru asked. Wilhelm kills one Witch Cult before it can throw a fireball at Subaru.
"Just ahead! Go straight, toward the great tree." Wilhelm replied. He kills the other Witch Cultists who chase Subaru's carriage.
"This is the perfect chance to repay my debt. Who can stand in the way of a man on his way to see a woman?" Wilhelm said.
"Wilhelm-san... you really are so cool!" Subaru said.
"If I was the woman he mentioned, then I'll be happy." Pandora uttered.
"Hey, be happy, will you?" Subaru asked.
"I will be happy if I was that girl in that scene. Damn it, why I have to become the witch of Vainglory? Damn it." Pandora said.
"Jealous, huh?" Subaru asked with a smug.
"Shut up, idiot!" Pandora yelled.
"Ah, young love." Kenichi said and Naoko hugs him. Halibel just choked on his tea and laughed.
"Natsuki-san, I see them! That's the carriages with the refugees!" Otto said. Subaru remembers his memories before with Emilia.
'Back then, I swore to myself.'
"No matter what it takes... I will save you." Subaru said.
"Are you thinking about Subaru?" Puck asked.
"Yeah. But I still can't believe it." Emilia replied.
"If Subaru's really leading these forces, lots of things would make sense. Like why Ram didn't argue, and why the villagers agreed to evacuate." Puck said.
"But why? After all the pain and suffering he went through... After I made him look so sad... Why would he..." Emilia uttered. The carriage shook once again and this made the kids cry again.
"Lia, something is coming up behind us." Puck warned. The carriages stopped as Subaru suddenly leaped inside Emilia's carriage. The two looked at each other and Subaru shakes his head. He finds the area where the fire stones are hidden and he gets it.
"Found them!" Subaru said.
"I thought this reunion was sudden. So that's why you're here." Puck said. Subaru quickly grabs the sack and runs away.
"Wait! Why?" Emilia cried. She chases him and sees him riding on Patrasche.
"Why?" Emilia asked.
"I love you, Emilia." Subaru said and now runs away to the fallen great tree.
Rem smiled and accepts the fact that Subaru really loved Emilia and she didn't forget that she also rejected Subaru's proposal of running away. Emilia still had the goosebumps of this moment and Puck laughs at her.
"That blue-haired maid must've been dealing with the confession of that boy's love to the half-elf." Priscilla said.
"Her smile might be because she was happy. But deep inside, she was really hurt and at the same time, accepting what Subaru wants for himself." Al said.
"Where is Rem and the others by the way at that moment? Including Crusch-sama?" Ferris asked. The gods suddenly coughed and Scorpio spits the popcorn into Madara's face, which made the two ended up fighting.
"That was a *cough* intense question." Nezuko whispered.
"Good grief..." Jotaro uttered while lowering his hat.
He remembers everything about Emilia from the past while carrying the fire stones which are about to explode.
"Damn it! Make it in time!" Subaru yelled. He throws the fire stones into the rock and runs away.
Thank you, Subaru. Thank you for saving me.
The fire stones exploded and Subaru and Patrasche got sent away. Emilia quickly rushes into their location.
'Where am I? I can't see a thing. I can't hear a thing. Is that witch lady coming to grab my heart again? I don't feel bad, though.
"Subaru! Subaru!"
"Oh, hey. I can hear, after all.' Subaru thought. Emilia inside the smokes looked at Subaru's body and she saw him beside Patrasche who guards him.
"Subaru!" Emilia cried and hugs him.
Moments later, in a windy open place with grass around them, Subaru can be seen lying on Emilia's knees under a rainbowish sky.
"Subaru, you're awake? Thank goodness. I'm so glad." Emilia said.
"I'm lying down, and Emilia-tan is kneeling. And considering our distance and the heavenly sensation under my head..." Subaru uttered.
"You don't have to go through that sully checklist. Your head's on my lap. It isn't uncomfortable, is it?" Emilia asked.
"I know of no finer, more divine pillow. Um... Can I ask how things turned out..." Subaru asked.
"Honestly... I'm the one who wants to ask what's going on." Emilia said.
"Subaru, my dear. I'm gonna leave for a bit. Bye." Pandora said as she kisses Subaru and walks out of the room. Subaru looked at her leaving with worried looks.
"She doesn't want to see that scene, for real." Subaru said.
"I'll just comfort that little former witch. Let me handle it." Halibel said.
"Me too." Naoko said and the two followed Pandora.
"Well, I can't blame her, since, in the future, we'll see more of my moments with Emilia. And she won't be liking it for sure." Subaru said.
"Maybe because the gods want her to suffer, after what she did from before?" Kenichi said.
"Probably. She has changed and now this is the payback she'll face. By seeing me with another girl." Subaru said.
"Don't worry. Everything will be fine." Kenichi said.
"Is Patrasche okay? I wanna become the wind with my little friend again." Subaru said.
"She was burned pretty badly, but her life's not in danger. Ferris is looking at her." Emilia said.
"Oh, Ferris met up with us? I have to ask, have I been out for a long while?" Subaru asked.
"About an hour or two." Emilia replied.
"Then, everyone's together now?" Subaru asked.
"Julius, as well. I was really surprised. I never expected to see you two together." Emilia said.
"It was for reasons bluer than the mountains, and taller than the seas, Emilia-tan. I finally made it back." Subaru said. He looked at everyone who is now gathered and all safe.
"I feel like I was having a really long dream. A terrible dream... No, it wasn't." Subaru said.
"A good dream, then?" Emilia asked.
"A good reality. Back then, you asked me why... Why I saved you. Why I try so hard at everything... You asked me why." Subaru said.
"And you said it was because I saved you... But I haven't done anything like that. I've never been able to. You're the one who's always saving me. I never could do anything for you. And yet, you got yourself hurt, and said it was for my sake..." Emilia uttered.
"No, something had gotten into me back- I was thinking only of myself. I said it was all for you when I was really just drunk on the idea of doing it for you. I had it in my head that if I said that, you'd accept it.
Everything you said back then was true. I was wrong. But... There's one thing I wasn't wrong about. I want to save you. I want to help you. I honestly mean that. It's no lie." Subaru said.
"Now the two of them have finally confessed their mistake towards each other and fixed it after such challenges that separate them." Crusch said.
"Aren't you jealous of them, Crusch-sama?" Ferris asked with a smirk.
"Why would I, Ferris? Natsuki Subaru admitted already that he loves Emilia more than anyone. But that doesn't mean I will not act friendly and more caring to him." Crusch said.
"Oh? You're admitting it low key that you're ain't giving up?" Ferris asked.
"Stop that nonsense question, Ferris." Crusch said with a faint blush on her face.
'Yeah, you'll be more a lovely character after what those two archbishops did to you.' Madara thought.
"Yeah. I know. Why do you always save me?" Emilia asked.
"Because I love you. And I want to be your strength." Subaru replied and Emilia cries after hearing this.
"I'm a half-elf..." Emilia said.
"I know that." Subaru said.
"I'm a silver-haired half-elf, and many people hate me because I look like the witch. They despise me... They absolutely detest me!" Emilia cried.
"I saw. I know. Those guys are all blind." Subaru said.
"I don't have much experience with people, so I don't have friends. I'm naïve and lack common sense in a lot of ways, so I say strange things sometimes. And the reason I want to be the kingdom's ruler is really, really selfish." Emilia said.
"No matter what anyone says about you, no matter what you think of yourself, I love you. I really love you! Like crazy! I want to be with you all the time. If you name ten things you hate about yourself, I'll list two thousand things I love about you.
That's the kind of special treatment I want to give to you." Subaru said as he sits and faces Emilia.
"That's the first time I've received special treatment that made me happy... Why two thousand?" Emilia asked as tears came out from her eyes and place Subaru's hand into her cheeks.
"Because a hundredfold isn't enough to express how I feel about you." Subaru replied with a smile.
"I'm happy... I'm so happy... I never imagined I'd see the day that someone told me they loved me. What should I do? You've told me so many of your feelings, but I don't know what to do..." Emilia said.
"You don't have to stress over it. I'm not demanding an answer right away. As far as I'm concerned, it's written in stone that you'll give me an answer. And it'll be a positive one, at that." Subaru said with a thumbs up.
"Is it really all right? For me... For someone like me to be given such happiness all the time? To be so overjoyed... I actually feel like it's indulgent." Emilia said.
"Sure, it is. Go on and be indulgent. You can never have too much happiness. If you have so much that it overflows, you can always share it. You can take your time, Emilia. You can take your time and slowly, steadily fall in love with me. As I was by your side, I'll do my best to make you fall head over heels for me." Subaru said with a wink. Emilia happily cries and looks at him.
"Thank you, Subaru... Thank you for saving me." Emilia replied with her bright smile, making him stunned on it. He smiled and the title "That's All This Story Is About" appeared on it and the screen turned off.
"And we have finished finally the first WAVE of Subaru's adventures to your world! Let's give each other a round of applause!" Scorpio exclaimed and everyone clapped at it.
"First wave...? What do you mean of that?" Anastasia asked.
"So you mean there's more?!" Petra asked.
"Yes, there is more! Before I'll tell you further about that, Rem, Crusch, and everyone... prepare yourselves for this little scene." Nezuko said in a serious tone.
"M-Me...?" Rem asked.
"What is this little scene all about?" Crusch asked in a serious tone.
The two can be seen now in the carriage and Subaru was thinking of something, that made Emilia curious.
"What's wrong, Subaru?" Emilia asked.
"Oh, um, just... Emilia-tan... There's something really important I need to tell you. It's actually... about Rem. Rem said that she, um...
"You'll still keep me by your side from now on?"
"Y-You see what I'm getting at, right? I mean, well... Rem said some nice things to me... The thing is... Rem said she loves me, the same way I told you that I love you! So..." Subaru exclaimed. He peeked at Emilia whom he thought to have a different reaction but he got nothing.
"Who... is Rem?" Emilia asked and the screen turned off.
"Wh-What... is that all about...? I... don't know who is... Rem?" Emilia asked. Rem was shocked and tries to think about what happened after the question of Emilia.
"She... She doesn't know who's Rem?! What's the meaning of that?!" Subaru asked in shock.
"You don't know that scene? But I thought you know everything, my son?" Kenichi asked.
"Yeah, I know what happened to Rem, but I never know that... maybe all of them don't know who is Rem at that time." Subaru uttered in horror.
"Now! The judges have finally given their message to us all! Please listen to their message about your fate after watching the first wave of Subaru's story!" Scorpio exclaimed. The screen shows the letter "R" on it.
"Greetings, people of Lugunica and of the Re: Zero World. We, the "Rs" have decided to tell you your fate after watching the first wave of Subaru's new life to your world.
All of you will be transferred to another theatre room and aside from watching it through the screen, the whole theatre itself will show the scenes of the next wave of Subaru's life story as if you are in the story itself. And the second wave of it is the FUTURE." R said.
"F-Future? We'll see our future in the next one?" Otto asked.
"Yes. Aside from that, you will meet new characters with you and they will be also in the second wave of the story as well. New gods will accompany you as well, more violent and ferocious than Jotaro and Madara. Like the first wave, you're all to see more sufferings of Subaru and the other witches as well. And for Rem, Crusch... and Emilia... I wish you all best of luck." R said and the screen turned off.
"New theatre?" Emilia asked.
"Now, let me ask you all. Are you ready for the next wave of Subaru's story to your world? You'll see the future in this one and many secrets will be exposed to this one." Madara said.
"Are you all ready?" Jotaro asked. Everyone went silent after this and murmured a bit. Emilia steps forward to the gods with a determined face.
"We're ready to watch the second wave, Gods. And how things went out for us in the future." Emilia replied.
"Very well." Madara said. The gods looked at the audience and the same goes to the audience who were waiting to watch the next wave of Natsuki Subaru's Adventure to Death!
