A huge crowd was following the two gods on the first scene to the Second Wave. Rem slowly starts to feel nervous and at the same time determined on how will the second wave start for them, especially that this is their future.
"Everyone, listen up! You'll be flying with us! So better be ready!" Naofumi yelled.
"Flying? I like flying!" Mildo exclaimed.
"Me too!" Lucas added.
"This is going to be tiring..." Sekhmet yawned.
"Fly? Is it safe?" Petra asked.
"Yeah, it is!" Kazuma replied.
"Let's go!" Naofumi yelled and all of them agreed and flew away. Some were crying and some laughed and enjoyed the way they'll watch the future.
"This is awesome!" Ricardo exclaimed.
"I can now fly to any destination I wanted!" Mimi added while spinning in the air.
"Be careful! The gods granted us such power for us to see our future! Don't be so reckless!" Hetaro warned.
"This is way better than before!" Anastasia said.
"I don't feel anything cool about it because I'm already flying." Puck said.
"No one asked for your opinion!" Minerva yelled.
"Huh?!" Puck asked.
"Now, now." Emilia chuckled. They now see carts in front of them and their group was divided into two.
"Kazuma, go with the others on the right! I'll be taking care of the others on the left!" Naofumi yelled.
"Okay! Come with me, everyone!" Kazuma said and half of the crowd followed him.
"See you later, my lady!" Ricardo said and they parted ways with Anastasia and the others.
"Are we..." Reinhard asked.
"Don't worry! We'll witness the same scene, okay? We can't just gather in one place because we may screw things up!" Naofumi yelled.
"I see!" Reinhard said.
The scene started as several carts are all heading away from the tree of Flügel after the battle between the White Whale. Kids can be seen sleeping in the cart and Subaru and Emilia were happy to see them resting. Except for one who suddenly clung to Subaru which is Petra.
"Aren't you, um... a bit close, Petra?" Subaru asked.
"Well, she had you all to herself earlier. It wasn't fair! You don't mind, right?" Petra replied.
"Um... It's not like that, Petra-chan. Subaru and I were just... Right! We had important things to talk about!" Emilia defended.
"Bleh! I'm not gonna lose to you! You hear me?!" Petra challenged.
"Wow, that's bold of you, Petra." Ram said.
"Eh?! Th-This happened?! It's embarrassing!" Petra cried while covering her face.
"Baru is a good figure to ladies, huh?" Typhon said.
"Surely he is." Echidna said.
'Who are these women? Adventurers from the other side of our world? In which region? What country? Why is she calling Subaru, "Baru"?' Reinhard thought.
"Emilia-tan, she's only a kid. You just have to smile and laugh off what kids say." Subaru said.
"No way. Even if she's a child, I can't take such a lackadaisical attitude." Emilia said.
"Lackadaisical? Who says that in this day and age?" Subaru chuckled.
"You're teasing me again!" Emilia said with a pout.
"I'm not a kid!" Petra replied and the two pouted at the same time.
"Are we seeing a love triangle in here?" Julius said with a smirk.
"H-Hey! That's not what you should think, Julius!" Emilia yelled to the other side.
"They can't hear us, right?" Garfiel asked.
"Yeah. You can yell at them but you can't hurt or touch them." Kazuma said.
"I can't wait to see you in person, Subaru-kun!" Rem yelled passionately at the Subaru they're watching. The real Subaru above them smiled and remembered their bonding together from before.
"Where's Pandora by the way, dad?" Subaru asked.
"Your mom and Halibel are still comforting her, I assume?" Kenichi replied.
"She's still can't watch my events with Rem or Emilia because she's jealous." Subaru said while scratching his head.
"Okay, sorry. I need to thank you, Petra. You kept your promise to not leave Emilia-tan alone. There are so many people I need to thank when things calm down.
I'm really grateful to Crusch-san and her gang, and Anastasia-san and her people helped a lot, too. And I hate to admit it, but the same goes for Julius and those guys. I'm even indebted to Otto." Subaru said.
"Did you say something, Natsuki-san?" Otto asked.
"Nah, nothing. Just that I'm super grateful to you, too!" Subaru replied.
"Gosh, what brought that on? You're making me blush." Otto said with a faint blush.
"And..." Subaru uttered as he remembered Rem.
"Aaaah! I can't wait to see it-" Kazuma was smacked by Naofumi's shield which was thrown to him and returned to its owner.
"Stop yelling!" Naofumi warned.
'These two surely have different auras.' Everyone thought.
"What's wrong, Subaru?" Emilia asked.
"Oh, um, just...Emilia-tan... There's something really important I need to tell you." Subaru said.
"Okay. What is it?" Emilia asked.
"This is hard for me to say, but please hear me out. Oh, and of course, I'm prepared to be knocked out by Ram when I tell her! But I want you to hear it first." Subaru said.
"Okay." Emilia replied.
"Hold on a second! Is this what we saw earlier, right?! Is it the Director's cut?!" Mimi asked.
"You're too sharp, huh? Yeah, it is from earlier! Shall we skip it or not?" Naofumi yelled.
"Just continue it!" Ricardo yelled.
"Fine!" Naofumi yelled back.
"It's actually... about Rem. Rem said that she, um...
"You'll still keep me by your side from now on?"
Y-You see what I'm getting at, right? I mean, well. Rem said some nice things to me." Subaru uttered nervously and while sweating.
"Subaru, just calm down for a second. I'm not sure what you're trying to say, but I can tell you're trying your hardest to say it, okay? So just take it slow, like a good boy." Emilia said.
"Hah! So he's like a dog to her, am I right?!" Garfiel yelled.
"That's too rude of you, Garfiel." Ryuzu said.
"Subaru-kun's not a dog!" Rem angrily said.
"Then why did Emilia-sama stated it as if he is a dog, huh?!" Garfiel yelled.
"Hey! I'm here beside you, so stop yelling." Otto said.
"Do you want me to beat you up?" Garfiel said.
"N-No!" Otto cried.
"Like a good boy"? That's not exactly encouraging. But... Okay. I'm just gonna come out and say it, like a man! The thing is... Rem said she loves me, the same way I told you that I love you! So..." Subaru said loudly and nervously while closing his eyes. He peeked at Emilia's reaction whether she was surprised or shocked. But it was different.
"Subaru..." Emilia uttered
"Yes?" Subaru asked.
"Who... is Rem?" Emilia asked and Subaru suddenly had a freaked-out reaction and memories from the past can be seen with Rem on it.
"Are those Subaru-kun and I's memories together?" Rem asked.
'Yes, it is. Now, we're shifting to another place!" Naofumi yelled.
"Commence transport!" Kazuma yelled and they all teleported above the other group of carts and this time with the White Whale's head on it.
"That teleportation is so awesome!" Mildo exclaimed.
"I agree!" Petra said.
"That's the other group, right?" Ricardo asked after seeing the group below them.
"Is this..." Crusch uttered.
"Our group this time?" Rem said.
The other group who brought the head of the White Whale as their trophy from the battle was spotted. Soldiers can be seen talking to each other and resting well after the battle.
"You don't look very happy, Rem. Are you still worried?" Crusch asked Rem as the two are both on the same cart.
"Crusch-sama..." Rem uttered.
"Felis and Wilhelm, and all the volunteers fighting alongside us, are the best of the best. Ricardo and the Iron Fang are lending us their aid, too. Such an assembly cannot lose." Crusch said.
"Is it selfish of me to worry despite all that?" Rem asked.
"It's as Natsuki Subaru said... You look best when you're smiling." Crusch said. Rem remembers Subaru after she heard those words.
"Honestly...That Subaru-kun is such a troublemaker... I'm sure you would also look quite different with a smile since you always carry yourself with such dignity. I believe you would look lovely if you smiled." Rem said.
"Yes, well... I'm not very good at smiling. It is something I still regret, even now." Crusch said and the two smiled.
"Yeah! I wanna see you smile too, Crusch-sama!" Ferris said. (HIS name on the sub and in this story won't be the same.)
"You do?" Crusch asked.
"Of course!" Ferris said.
'These people with us have taken out Daphne's White Whale. Good thing she isn't showing any signs of disappointment nor anger. Or else the gods will annihilate us all.' Echidna thought while looking at Daphne.
An explosion from the front suddenly surprised everyone including the two who just smiled at each other. Crusch quickly stands up and looks at the other carts.
Everyone was shocked seeing the explosion with their own eyes and smelled the rubble and blood from above.
'The Archbishops did this?' Sehkmet thought.
"Woah! Who the hell did that?!" Minerva angrily asked.
"Witch cultists!" Rem said.
"W-We all died in there...?" Some soldiers uttered in fear after seeing their fate before them. Naofumi and Kazuma were both silent and let the people react to the events.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" Crusch yelled and the remaining soldiers who can fight prepared their weapons including Rem. A man wearing a white robe and has white hair was standing on the road wasn't fazed by the upcoming cart.
"Run him over!" Crusch yelled.
"Crusch-sama!" Rem suddenly takes Crusch away and the cart exploded, killing all of the soldiers in their cart.
"What in the world is that power?!" Kenichi asked.
"Beats me. But after what he did to Rem..." Subaru uttered in anger.
"Tch! That's too nasty." Ricardo said.
"Our fellow soldiers were fallen at that time..." Wilhelm uttered.
"I wish you wouldn't do that. Ordering them to run me over when I'm not doing anything? That's not something any decent human being would do." The man said.
"How dare you do such a brutal thing to my retainers? Just who are you?" Crusch asked.
"I see, I see. You don't know who I am. But I know who you are. You're a candidate to be the next ruler of this nation." The man said.
"You talk too much. Answer my question! Next time, I will kill you!" Crusch said while pointing her sword to the man.
"Damn... I can't do anything for them in this timeline..." Subaru uttered.
"Who the heck is this guy? He seems to be confident that I wanna break his nose!" Garfiel yelled.
'Yikes! This guy over here truly is terrifying!' Otto thought.
"How in the world did he do that...?" Julius asked.
"The explosions? Must be his Authority." Ram said.
"Now that's just mean. But I suppose one could never hope to rule a country without some degree of arrogance. I can't comprehend that sensibility myself, but..." The man uttered.
"I told you there would be no second chances!" Crusch yelled as she fires a slash from her sword at the man but it was deflected by some unknown force from the target, making her shock.
"Impossible!" Crusch said.
"Tch! Who in the world is that man?!" Wilhelm angrily said.
"Please tell me we'll be assisting them..." Ferris prayed.
"Crusch-sama's attack didn't hurt or scratch him. What in the..." Anastasia uttered.
"Now, look here! Who taught you that it was acceptable to swing a sword at someone when they're happily talking?! I do believe that's a violation of my right to speak!" The man said and Crusch's left arm suddenly blew away from her body and knocks her down.
"Crusch-sama!" Rem cried.
Crusch had no choice but to witness how she lost her arm. Rem on the other hand started to feel nervous but at the same time, angry because of this person who ambushed them.
"You bastard...!" Reinhard yelled and prepares his sword.
"This is too much!" Emilia cried.
"Like what I said, you can't do anything to what you're seeing right now! Only you have to do now is to watch and accept what happened to your future!" Naofumi yelled.
"Hahaha! You now lost your composure after losing-" Priscilla stopped as Naofumi stared at her.
"My lady, don't you pull up an offending joke." Al whispered.
"This woman is such a jerk! Can you please show some concern to your fellow candidate after what happened to her there?!" Kazuma yelled.
"Crusch-sama... lost her arm..." Ferris uttered while crying.
"We will hunt this man down once we are done here!" Wilhelm said and the others agreed.
"As if that will happen so easily." Naofumi said.
"What do you mean?" Wilhelm asked.
"I'll state everything once we have witnessed everything in the Second Wave's first episode." Naofumi said.
"Felis..." Crusch uttered while Rem stops the bleeding on her arm.
"Ah... I keep eating and eating, but it's never enough! I eat, I devour, I chew, I bite, I gorge, I gnaw, I munch, I crunch... Pure gluttony! Ah, thank you for this feast!" A smaller man with sharp teeth with blood on his mouth and stopped dragging a dead body walked towards them.
"You two are..." Rem uttered.
"Sin Archbishop of the Witch's Cult, representing gluttony... Lye Batenkaitos!" The smaller guy known to be archbishop of gluttony, Lye Batenkaitos said.
"And the Sin Archbishop of the Witch's Cult, representing greed, Regulus Corneas." The man who caused the explosions earlier is known to be the archbishop of greed, Regulus Corneas said.
"Witch Cult!" Otto cried.
"Shush! They might hear us!" Petra said.
"Don't worry, they won't hear us from here. All you can do like what I said is to witness this scene that happened in the future." Naofumi said.
"We already finished the Sloth before and now two more have shown up?!" Julius asked.
"But this time, their authorities are not as weak as Betelguese. Theirs are way worse and more powerful." Reinhard said.
"Is there any way that Subaru will arrive at this scene?" Rem asked but the gods didn't reply to her.
"We came here because we heard our let had been slain, and look at this bounty! I expected them to be a good ripe bunch, considering they managed to kill a beast that had been rampaging unchecked for 400 years... But this is beyond my expectations! Nice! Good! Great! Excellent! Fine! Perfect! Fantastic! Stupendous! How long it has been since our hunger was so thoroughly sated!" Lye exclaimed.
"You can relax. I'm nothing like that guy there. I hate fighting and stuff. All that "hunger" and "thirst" nonsense? Such petty self-indulgences are beneath me." Regulus said and Rem suddenly created ice shards around her.
"Were you even listening? Did I not just say that I hate fighting?" Regulus said with an annoyed look.
"Is that all you wish to say, witch cultist? Soon enough, a hero will appear and rid us of all of you. The one and an only hero... whom I love." Rem said.
"The best option you can do here is to run awaaaaay." Roswaal said.
"Run away? Why she would do that, Roswaal?" Beatrice asked.
"That's the best option I can say for now." Roswaal said.
"You do have a lot of mysterious stinks you hide within you, I suppose." Beatrice said.
"Hero? Is it..." Puck uttered.
"Natsuki Subaru." Crusch said.
"He isn't a hero, Rem. Not until-" Ram was stopped by Naofumi.
"Could you stop stating nonsense to Subaru? You seem to have that salty tongue, demon?" Naofumi scowled.
"I apologize." Ram said.
"Oh? A hero? I look forward to that. And who are you?" Lye asked.
"The head maid of the mansion of Margrave Roswaal L. Mathers... and currently, the caretaker of whom I love, my beloved Natsuki Subaru, who will one day be that hero... Rem!" Rem said and the horn in her forehead started to appear.
"Rem... You are..." Julius uttered.
"This is a bad idea. Facing two stronger archbishops is a really bad idea, Rem." Ryuzu said.
"For my love for Subaru... I did this...?" Rem uttered and smiled with tears in her eyes.
"Instead of running away, you fought the archbishops on your own, Rem? Why is the future... so violent and unfair?" Otto asked.
"You'd better be ready, Sin Archbishop! I promise you, my hero will soon be here to bring you to justice!" Rem exclaimed as she fired her ice shards to the Archbishops but it was no good. Rem swings her flail to Lye but it was deflected.
"Ah, what mettle! I am most certainly going to enjoy... this feast!" Lye exclaimed and continued deflecting Rem's flail and spiked ball.
"Rem... No..." Ram uttered.
"I'm gonna hate the outcome of this battle. Let me run!" Otto ran away from the battlefield.
"Wait! Julius!" Ferris yelled as Julius rushed into the scene and attacks Regulus.
"Take this-" Julius swings his sword to Regulus but he was sent back away by a forcefield.
"How many times do I have to tell you?! Look what happened to you! You lost your arms after you tried to hit Regulus!" Naofumi scolded.
"I can't just watch Rem in reality fight those archbishops alone!" Julius said.
"And defending Crusch-sama from them is going to be a hard objective." Petra said.
"Oops, I now lost my other arm." Al said as he swings his sword at Regulus and his arm exploded.
"Damn it... Regenerate!" Naofumi yelled and Julius and Al's arms are all cured and back.
"Don't you dare fire any of those shards, Emilia! You'll lose your arms too if you also do that!" Kazuma said on Emilia and Puck who are about to release ice shards.
"Rem out there will... die..." Puck uttered. Rem looked at everyone concerned to her and she was both sad and happy about that. She looked at her other self and started to realize what will Subaru react if he sees her fighting all alone.
Rem's flashbacks of Subaru started to appear slowly as Regulus fired another explosion at Rem and Lye uses this opportunity to finish this one by gnawing her. A glimpse of a blue-haired mother with her child was found before the screen blacked out.
"Rem!" Ram cried and some started to feel sorry for her. The Imperia Knights felt anger after they can't do anything at this rate because they are only watching this event from the future. Rem lowered her head and feel guilty that she couldn't be with Subaru in the future for a while.
"Rem... is defeated...?" Otto uttered in fear.
"A sneaky move from Regulus surely finished her and removed her guard. That's what we call unfair in life." Typhon said.
"Argh! They aren't fighting fair and square! Rem should have someone with her so that she can fight them in a fair match!" Minerva yelled.
"Thank you for the feast." Lye said and the view of Rem started to smolder as if it was eaten by someone.
"Huh? What happened?" Frederica asked.
"Rem... I'm sorry if I can't do anything for you. Even to you Crusch-sama as well. As an Imperial Knight, it is a shame that I can't even do my responsibility to protect you, people." Reinhard said.
"I do as well. If I have a glimpse of this happening in the future, maybe I have joined them on going back to the Capital to prevent this battle." Julius said.
"We were all tired at the subjugation of the White Whale. Most of us never thought of this because we are so tired. No one should be blamed for this but only the Witch Cult." Crusch said.
"What was that eerie scene?!" Garfiel angrily yelled.
"Her memories were eaten away by the gluttony." Ryuzu whispered.
"Huh?! What's that all about?!" Garfiel asked.
"If I'm not wrong, his authority is pretty violent but decent in a way you can think. He eats someone's memories and makes everyone who knows her forget her existence in this world. Well, I got that in this little paper." Ryuzu said while holding a piece of paper.
"Hey! Did you gave them an article about Lye's authority?!" Naofumi asked.
"So that they won't be asking us such questions! Don't worry! I know what I'm doing!" Kazuma saluted.
'I wish Tanya was here to beat this guy up.' Naofumi thought and everyone was suddenly teleported to Crusch's mansion and they saw the injured and dead people being treated by medics and mages.
The scene shifted to Crushch's mansion were all of the survivors and dead people were taken and treated. Subaru and Emilia were in worry and shock as they witness their surroundings.
"Now we are all above Crusch-sama's territory!" Emilia said.
"Let's get down and avoid bumping people on your way." Naofumi said and everyone agreed.
"This is too much. Many were killed and injured." Otto said.
"You can't expect minimal damage from the Sin Archbishops, I suppose." Beatrice said. Subaru and Kenichi on the ship followed them from above and the Main Character didn't utter a thing after he returns to this scene.
"How awful..." Emilia uttered.
"What happened here?" Subaru asked. A loud cry from Ferris suddenly caught their attention after seeing Crusch's state.
Ferris on the audience gets closer to Crusch as he was really worried about her future. Crusch on the other hand let her knight clung to her because this will be an event they won't avoid in the future soon.
"Damn it!" Wilhelm grunted in frustration.
"Where's Rem? Where is Rem?!" Subaru cried and now started to run away to look for Rem.
'It's just like before... Just like the time when the White Whale got Rem! But I know we defeated the White Whale! So why?!' He thought while running.
"If you hear me, say something, Rem! Rem! Rem!" Subaru yelled and finds someone who looked like Rem.
"Not her... Rem! Rem! Rem! Rem! Rem!" Subaru started to look for her through the injured people but he couldn't find her. He stopped running and took a deep breath.
"Rem... Where did you go, Rem?" Subaru asked. He heard the flail of Rem as he spots her on the other side of the mansion and rushed to her.
"Rem! Come on, Rem, wake up! It's me! Hey, Rem? Rem... Rem!" Subaru yelled.
"I'm grateful you cared and looked for me, Subaru-kun..." Rem uttered and cried.
"Rem... I..." Emilia uttered.
"This isn't your fault, Emilia-sama. It is my fault why I fought them in the future. And it was a futile decision to choose. Because I thought that... If Subaru-kun sees me being worth to him, maybe he'll give me the love I wanted from him..." Rem said. Subaru heard all of this and his heart starts to race.
"Rem... you don't have to do that for me... I won't let you get hurt because of me, to get what you want from me..." Subaru said as he starts to cry and feel guilty. Until someone hugged him from behind who is known to be Pandora and smiled at him.
"P-Pandora..." Subaru uttered.
"You must have felt a lot of pain after seeing some of the future huh, dear?" Pandora said.
"Where's Mom and Halibel?" Subaru asked.
"They have to be off somewhere. Uhm dad, mind if you can join them?" Pandora asked.
"Sure! I have to make quality time with my wife too! You two enjoy!" Kenichi said and runs into the exit room. The mysterious figure slowly followed the ship of Subaru and red eyes glowed on its cloak.
'You Witch...' The figure thought.
"You know this girl?" The mage asked.
"Yes! She's Rem! She's alive, right?! Why won't she wake up?!" Subaru asked.
"Unfortunately, she's beyond help. Nothing I can do will wake her-" The mage was stopped by Subaru who chokes him.
"Why?! And you call yourself a healer?! If you're a healer, then heal her! Wake her up with magic! Right now! Come on! Please... Come on..." Subaru yelled and uttered but it was no good. The healer leaves him due to the reasoning he couldn't do anything to Rem.
Subaru saw a broken sword and grabs it. He places it near his neck and gulped neck. He looked around and thought of his action.
"Wait! Subaru-kun!" Rem yelled.
"Don't you do that, Subaru!" Reinhard yelled.
"Subaru!" Julius tried to stop him but he remembered he blew his arms earlier after he swung his sword against Regulus.
"Are you an idiot?! What is he up to?!" Garfiel asked.
"He's going to kill himself and try to fix the mistake that happened earlier. Will it work though?" Anastasia asked.
"That is not the answer, Natsuki-san!" Otto cried.
"But some events before happened like this right? So let's see if he can change the reality once agaaaaaain." Roswaal said.
'His long hum is an annoying crap!' Naofumi thought.
"If I Return by Death now... I'll have to fight Petelguese again. But I don't care. I'll fight him as many times as it takes... beat him as many times as it takes... to save both Emilia and Rem. I won't let either of them die! If it'll save both of you... I'll... As many times as it takes!" Subaru yelled and he kills himself once again.
Everyone suddenly got teleported back again to Subaru and Emilia's location where all of them returned because Subaru killed himself.
"We all returned in here at one piece!" Ricardo exclaimed.
"And in a supersonic speed! Woohoo!" Mimi added.
"That's what we'll experience when Subaru dies again and again. We'll blink to the last checkpoint of Subaru without us gods doing anything." Naofumi said.
"Are you all right? Subaru, what's the matter?" Emilia asked Subaru who barely breathed after he kills himself.
"Where's Rem? What happened to Rem?" Subaru asked in a freaked out look.
"Subaru... Who... is Rem?" Emilia asked.
"No... It didn't work..." Emilia uttered. Everyone got teleported once again to Crusch's mansion and the main characters headed to a room where Subaru and Rem are.
"The huge crowd is with Kazuma right now. So that means this scene is for the important characters like you guys." Naofumi said.
"Look at how Subaru is now... I thought we would see him already happy but, after what happened to Rem... I guess he sure is going to face a lot of despair from now on." Reinhard said.
"Rem! Where are you going?! If you'll touch Barusu, you'll-" Ram stopped as Rem already hugged Subaru from behind. Nothing happened to her and they looked at Naofumi.
"Is that some sort of violence Rem did? Fine. I allowed her to touch him because you know already her status here. She is forgotten by everyone except Subaru." Naofumi said.
"This is... so... sad..." Carmilla uttered and cried.
"Yeah. It is." Daphne said while sniffing Otto.
"What are you doing?" Otto cried.
Rem is now confined in a room and Subaru is with her, with a sad and hopeless look.
"Now that I think about it, I never really saw you sleeping before. You always woke up before me. Before I realized it, you were already in my room, watching me sleep. Rem... I'm sorry, Rem... I tried to sound all brave... saying I'd die as many times as it would take to save you... But I guess no matter how many times I die, I'll never make it in time." Subaru said. He saw spirits gathered as one and Puck was formed from it.
"Oh! It was me!" Puck said.
"I thought it is a spirit of Julius." Ferris said while wiping his tears.
"Oh, it's just you, Puck." Subaru said.
"Just" me? I don't think that was necessary. You're so mean." Puck said.
"So what brings you all the way out here?" Subaru asked.
"I have a connection with this girl too, remember? So what's wrong with me dropping by to check in on her?" Puck said.
"Puck, couldn't you-" Subaru uttered.
"Sorry, but not even my power can wake her from the sleep she's in. It might not do much to make up for that, but I could tell you a bit about Gluttony." Puck said.
"Gluttony?" Subaru asked.
"The one who devoured her name and memories. Put simply, the Authority of Gluttony is a power for eating. Subaru walks out of the room and meets someone in the hallway.
"So this is where you were. How is she?" A woman asked.
"No changes at all. It's not as if there's anything I can even do... I know I'm weak and pathetic, and yet..." Subaru said.
"That's not true at all. I believe you make her quite happy, in fact." The woman said but Subaru felt down on it.
"Hey... Is that..." Ferris uttered.
"Me?" Crusch asked.
"Let them finish their conversation before talking about Crusch-sama." Al said.
"I'm sorry... That was crossing a line. I've made you upset, haven't I?" The woman asked.
"No. Anyway, were you looking for me because you needed something?" Subaru asked.
"Yes. Everyone has gathered in the lounge to discuss things. And, well, um..." The woman uttered.
"It's Natsuki Subaru." Subaru said.
"I'm sorry. Of course, you're Natsuki Subaru-sama. I've been told that I owe you a great deal, and yet I've been nothing but rude. Please forgive me." The woman said.
"Hahahaha! Crusch turned from being a majestic ruler to nobody! I guess the future is spinning according to my luck!" Priscilla laughed and gets smacked by Naofumi's shield.

"Subaru?" Emilia asked in worry.

"Well, now that Subaru-dono and Crusch-sama have returned, let us talk." Wilhelm said.

"Third god?" Priscilla asked.
"Yeah! And you really won't like his brutal and cruel personality." Kazuma smirked.

"Felis, I cannot ignore the comment you just made. Apologize. Natsuki Subaru-sama is right. It is crystal clear where the blame should fall. Plus, you do not have the right to ridicule someone who has made a correct statement." Crusch said and looked at Ferris.
"Yes, Crusch-sama. Emilia-sama, I apologize. To you, too, Subaru-kyun." Ferris said.
"Forget it. Let's just get back on the topic." Subaru said.
"But just let me say this. About the alliance we spoke of... Can we just scrap that idea?" Ferris asked.

"I am opposed to that opinion." Wilhelm said.
"Why would you be opposed, Old Man Wil?! Look what happened to Crusch-sama! What point is there in continuing to assist Emilia-sama and her friends?!" Ferris asked in anger.
"With regard to this "Gluttony," the one who attacked Crusch-sama... We may be given an opportunity for revenge." Wilhelm said.

"Felis, thank you for worrying about me. Right now, there is simply too much I don't understand. I can't remember a single detail about who I used to be. I'm sure all of you are perplexed as to how you should interact with me, too. But to everyone who still retains their respect for me despite all this, I must express my thanks.
Felis, I know that your concern for me is genuine and that you are trying to guide me. I could do as you say and walk the safest path. But I loathe the thought of going on with my life, knowing nothing. If I have a choice, I would rather choose for myself than simply do as someone says." Crusch said. Ferris starts to cry and faces her.
"Crusch-sama..." Ferris uttered while crying.
"Felis..." Crusch uttered and held his hands. The knight cried in her soft hands as he understands his master's will.
Ferris of the audience cried too and Crusch comforts him too. Some smiled at this scene but except for some who aren't interested in this scene.
'It's your fault for being not an offensive type of a knight. And you can't even protect her from Lye.' Pandora thought.
"This is too depressing to watch, right?" Subaru asked.
"Yes, my dear." Pandora said.
"If this is Crusch-sama's will, surely no one would be in favor of dissolving the alliance." Wilhelm said.
"Right. I know I will be a great deal of trouble to you, Emilia-sama and Natsuki Subaru-sama." Crusch said.
"No, it's all right. We can't exactly say we're all on the same page, either. We need to rejoin Ram and everyone else who's at the Sanctuary, and we need to talk it over with Roswaal, too." Emilia said. Subaru looked at the knife on the table as the scene shifted back to him and Rem in the room.
"Subaru, don't tell me..." Reinhard uttered.
"Is he going to kill himself again?" Al asked.
"You said I was strong, but without you, I can't even find the Subaru who could put on that tough guy act, Rem." Subaru said.
"I knew you'd be here." Emilia said as she enters the room.
"Oh... Emilia. Did you need something?" Subaru asked.
"Thank goodness." Everyone sighed.
"I'm also tired of seeing blood spraying from his throat." Priscilla said.
"Am I not allowed to be here if I don't? I know this girl... Rem-san, too, don't I?" Emilia asked.

"It's not like I'm doing anything that'd make me tired. It's not like I can do anything." Subaru said.
"But it's something that you want to do something, right? If your spirit keeps trying so hard for so long, your body will wear out first. So, please." Emilia said.
"I'm so pathetic..." Subaru uttered.
"You aren't pathetic, Subaru-kun/Subaru." Rem and Emilia both said.
"You two surely are linked this time." Otto said.
"No, you're not. You've helped me so much, Subaru. I really mean it. It'll all be fine... Not that I have any right to talk as if I know that. I want to understand how you feel, but since I don't remember anything about this girl, I know anything I say will just hurt you. But... Just know this, please. Don't burden yourself with carrying the weight of Rem alone. Let me carry your burdens with you." Emilia said.
"Emilia... But you don't even remember anything about Rem." Subaru uttered.
"Is it wrong to want to do something if I don't remember her? She's important enough to you that it's made you this sad, right? Is it strange that it makes me want to help her, too? Just like you saved me, I want to save you this time. If you're in pain, I want to do something for you." Emilia said. Subaru looked at her with a worn-out look and closed his eyes.
"You're amazing, Emilia-tan." Subaru said.
"Really? I think you're much more amazing than me." Emilia said.
"No, I'm really not. I'm glad it was you. Emilia... I have a favor to ask." Subaru said.
"What is it?" Emilia asked.
"Could you turn around? I'm going to cry." Subaru said.
"All right." Emilia said and turns around. Subaru now started to cry and tears fell from his eyes. He wailed now much that Emilia pats him from behind and Subaru lets her do it.
The audience who are watching them in the room started to cry as well. Ferris regretted what he said in the future and how he treated Emilia. Crusch on the other hand wanted to hug Subaru and let him feel he's not alone in his fight.
"I'm starting to cry a river right now!" Kazuma said.
"Shut it up..." Naofumi uttered.
"I swear... I will get you back. I swear it. I'm going to. Your hero is going to come to you! I swear it! Just wait for me, Rem." Subaru said and the title "Each One's Promise" appeared around everyone.
"Woah! Why are you here in this black void?" Anastasia asked.
"Unlike in the theater, you'll truly grasp the title too in person. So let's go now to the second one!" Naofumi said.
"The first episode of the Second Wave is a bad one!" Minerva yelled.
'She's trying not to get caught as a Witch of Wrath.' Echidna thought.
"Yeah!" Everyone replied on Naofumi.
"Hold up for a second!" A voice can be heard and suddenly stopped everyone.
"Who was that?!" Garfiel yelled.
"He's here... The Libertarian...!" Kazuma uttered in excitement.
