Subaru wakes up now inside the graveyard after he was killed by Elsa in the other loop back at the mansion.
"Did I just die? Elsa... What was that woman doing in the mansion? This is... the graveyard? So... right after the trial? Or- Emilia!" Subaru called on Emilia who got unconscious once again.
"Subaru?" Emilia asked.
"She failed again as expected. I wanna see how tragic her trial is!" Priscilla said.
"Then what? Laugh at her past?" Crusch asked.
"Did I said something like that? You're jumping to conclusions too early, Crusch. That's why you lost your arm in the future because of that." Priscilla said.
"This woman..." Tanya angrily uttered on Priscilla.
"Yeah, that's right. It's me." Subaru said. Emilia suddenly yelled and wailed at the same time after realizing something again from her trial.
"It wasn't me! It wasn't!" Emilia cried.
"I know. It's okay. Everything's okay." Subaru said.
"Subaru..." Emilia uttered while holding Subaru tightly.
The scene shifted back to the house in the village after they took the trial.
"I'm sorry. I've finally calmed down." Emilia said.
"Emilia..." Subaru uttered.
"Are you feeling all right?" Ram asked.
"Yes... because Subaru was there for me, I think. We need to talk about the trial now." Emilia said.
"I think? He was always with you the whole time." Tanya angrily said.
"I-I know!" Emilia said.
"Yeah... but I have a pretty good idea of what it's about. It showed you your past, right?" Subaru asked.
"Past?" Otto asked.
"How the hell do you know what happens in the trial?" Garfiel asked.
"You saw the ruins glowing, didn't you? I was qualified to do it too. And... I passed it." Subaru said.
"Why do I have to see myself getting stupid after not knowing that this man can pass the trial huh?!" Garfiel angrily asked his other-self.
"It's to see what are our future mistakes too. And who knows, we might have a chance to go back to our world after all of this." Ryuzu said.
"He's starting to talk about himself now as he's about to do some crazy stuff later on." Naofumi mumbled.
"Hmm... Young Su passed, eh?" Ryuzu asked.
"Assuming he's not joking, that's quite an achievement. If it's true, we can remove the barrier. Garf, how does the barrier look now?" Ram asked.
"No changes." Garfiel replied.
"So you lied. Drop dead." Ram said.
"Sister..." Rem pouted on Ram.
"I know. I'm sorry." Ram said.
"You sure about that haven't changed?! But what about him passing the trial!?" Garfiel yelled.
"Maybe you forgot that Emilia-sama is taking the trial too!" Julius said.
"It could be that two of them must pass the trials to change the barrier's status." Anastasia said.
"You reached that conclusion too fast! What's wrong, Garfiel?" Subaru asked Garfiel who looks at him.
"Not a damn thing's wrong." Garfiel replied and looks away.
"Subaru... If that's true, how... What did you see?" Emilia asked.
"I wouldn't say I "saw"... More like I "realized." It seems like there's not just one of these sadistic trials. There are three in total, apparently." Subaru replied.
"So... two more?" Emilia asked.
"Emilia, I have a suggestion. You might not like it, though." Subaru said.
"A suggestion?" Emilia asked.
"I could do the remaining trials in your place, and pass them. That's my suggestion. I want to be your strength. I don't know what you saw in your past, but if it made you cry so hard and look like you were in such pain... I want to lend you a hand." Subaru said.
"Huh?!" Wh-Why he would do that?! Doesn't he trust Lia?!" Puck angrily asked.
"C-Calm down, Puck! Maybe he's trying to help me, you know." Emilia said.
"And let him get improve and matured to all sorts of things? While you can't still go on yourself without our help and because people accuse you as that witch? I had enough of him!" Puck said, making everyone gasp.
"Hey! Why did you..." Ricardo uttered.
"That's not what he meant, Puck-" Emilia was stopped by Puck.
"Then what?! Explain it to me!" Puck yelled and Tanya bashes her rifle at the floating cat and puts him in a floating cage.
"Puck!" Emilia cried.
"Halt there, Emilia. If this small beast can't accept what happened in the future and continues to yell at you like an idiot, I will be forced to put him into harsher submission." Tanya coldly said.
"I just... I care for Lia's future too!" Puck cried.
"Huh...? Care for her future? Why? If you can suggest something to us in here right now that can make her the favorites of the viewers? Can we just change the future as easy as you think?" Tanya coldly asked.
"I... I..." Puck uttered.

"We are just at the beginning of the season and yet you're whining on Subaru trying to hog the spotlight from others. There will be events in which some of you over here will be the best people in that event. Especially to the ones coming soon in here." Kazuma said.
"Wait, more people are coming?" Reinhard asked
"Hang on! You've just been sayin' whatever the hell you want while we sit and listen, but I don't want anyone but the princess, Emilia-sama bein' the one to go through the trial. At the very least, you're the last person I wanna see gettin' rid of the barrier!" Garfiel said. Subaru remembers what he said before in the previous loop about him taking over Emilia's place in the trial.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Subaru called.
"What? You're surprised that I'm against it? You're a real dumbass, ya know that." Garfiel said.
"Dumbass without explaining why you are against it." Garfiel said.
"Uh... You're talking to your other self, remember?" Otto asked.
"And what about it, huh?!" Garfiel yelled.
"Is there a cure for his anger issues?" Ferris whispered.
"I'm afraid there isn't." Frederica chuckled.
"No, I mean-" Subaru said.
"Subaru... A-Are you saying you can't trust me with this?" Emilia asked with a depressed look.
"Huh?" Subaru asked.
"Because you saw me failing. So you want to do it?" Emilia asked.
"That's not it! But you shouldn't have to face your past if-" Subaru was stopped by Emilia.
"But if I don't face it, I'll never get past the trial! If I turn my eyes away from things I don't like, leave them all to you, and run away... What would be left for me then?" Emilia asked while crying.
"Let's stop talking about this." Ram said.
"Lia is right though. How she can overcome her past if she'll just run away and never face them? But I understand Subaru's help for her." Puck said.
"Huh? What's with the sudden change of act? To get away in that prison, huh? Get rotten there. Oh yeah, how about... transform as the beast in which you used to kill Subaru." Tanya challenged with a crazy smirk and Puck looks away.
"Hey! Don't startle him!" Kazuma said.
"We can't blame Subaru if he wants everyone out of the Sanctuary quickly after he gets killed by Elsa. And that might happen to the other villagers out of the Sanctuary." Julius said.
"And why they would kill the villagers? To conquer the world? That's why you Imperial Knights are out there waiting for them to be called for help." Otto said.
"Got a minute? Why were you so opposed to what I suggested?" Subaru asked.
"Because-" Garfiel was stopped by Ryuzu.
"Because it is what Young Ros wants. Young Tos believes that Emilia-sama should be the one to liberate the Sanctuary." Ryuzu said.
"And you guys back him on that?" Subaru asked.
"Don't get me wrong. I hate that son of a bitch as much as you do. But... you get it, don't you?!" Garfiel yelled.
"Roswaal..." Crusch uttered.
"Oh? Isn't it bad that aside from freeing the Sanctuary, she gets the opportunity to overcome her tragic past, am I right, Puuuuck?" Roswaal asked.
"There's something to it. And you won't tell us because this is the future. And we'll know them all by ourselves!" Otto said.
"Don't you yell at Roswaal-sama!" Ram said.
"And don't you dare stop me from seeking such answers on why everyone's future is so dark and sad!" Otto yelled, making Ram gasp at him. She was about to slap him but Carmilla blocks her.
"D-Don't... hurt... Otto... This was... Echidna's fault... in the first place... Letting her... student does all of this... to happen..." Carmilla said while sobbing.
"Student?" Everyone asked.
"Looks like you slipped there a bit, little girl." Kazuma said and pats Carmilla.
"Student... Roswaal-sama and that witch...?" Rem asked in a shocked look.
"I guess... even if the barrier disappeared and the Sanctuary officially became part of his domain..." Subaru uttered.
"This land is overseen by Young Ros. No one among us wishes to defy him and endanger our position. I hope you and the others know that I'm sorry." Ryuzu said.
"It just keeps getting harder and harder for me to trust Roswaal." Subaru said.
"Anyway! It's gotta be the princess who goes through the trial! Even if you are qualified, I ain't lettin' you do it!" Garfiel yelled and they walked away.
"Damn it... Emilia..." Subaru uttered.
'No, take it easy. I need to figure out what to do about the mansion. There's no way that insane woman won't do anything to Rem and the new maids. It's Frederica I'm worried about. Does she have ties to Elsa somehow? In any case, I need to go back to the mansion as fast as I can.' He thought.
"He cares for me...?" Frederica asked. Rem quickly looked at Frederica if she really had ties with the Bowel Hunter.
"You're too much on guard today, Rem." Ram said.
"I'm just worried about the people who keep meeting Subaru-kun when I was asleep on the future." Rem pouted.
"Roswaal..." Crusch uttered in suspicion.
"Could these people understand the situation better? Subaru is worried about Frederica who might have other plans that might be against him." Julius said.
"I agree." Kadomon said.
"And what is it you would like me to do?" Roswaal asked.
"Get the people of Arlam Village back home. I want you to bring up that suggestion to Ryuzu-san and the rest. It doesn't look like I'll be able to get them to agree with me this time." Subaru said while walking back and forth.
"This time"? Hmm... And why is that?" Roswaal asked.
"That Garfiel punk seems to hate my guts. I don't have time to convince someone as volatile as him. And there's one other thing. I want to go and tell the people who're still in Arlam that their families are safe. I'm going back there alone to tell them that.
Of course, I'm also going to the mansion, where Frederica's planning something." Subaru said.
"Ram has informed me of this. But given what I know about her, Frederica would not be hasty in-" Roswaal was stopped by Subaru.
"And what do you know? Frederica gave Emilia the glowing stone. That's proof she's planning something!" Subaru said.
"Subaru-kun..." Rem uttered.
"Now he's starting to distrust everyone after what happened to him at the mansion. What if Roswaal-sama... also planned this to happen?" Ferris whispered.

"You're telling me that... Roswaal hired Elsa to kill them in the previous loop?" Reinhard asked in a bit shocked look.
"And if she does prove to be an enemy, what will you do? I'm sorry to say so, but you stand no chance against her." Roswaal said.
"But with Natsuki-san's powers now, she can take Frederica head on!" Anastasia said.
"What are you talking about?" Garfiel asked.
"Uhm... How we should say this... er..." Anastasia uttered.
"That Witch of Vainglory who loved Subaru-chan madly offered all of her powers to him in reality now and makes herself powerless anymore!" Mildo yelled.
"Huh?!" The witches asked in shock.

'Impossible! We may know Pandora but, she'll do this for him?!' Echidna thought.

"Emilia's dealing with the barrier, you're injured, and Otto won't have any part of this. We're stuck." Subaru said.
"That is true, with the exception of one person." Roswaal said while pointing at him.
"If I may be blunt, I don't like this." Ram said as the scene shifted to morning and Subaru prepares Patrasche for his trip.
"Now we're back outside!" Mildo exclaimed and he trips his own footing and rolled down on the stairs of the house.
"That's too much chocolate for you." Kazuma sighed.
"He rolled like a fat dumpling roll." Tanya said.
"Hey! Is there a time to state a very small accident?!" Otto cried.
"You're still talking like that, Nee-sama?" Subaru asked.
"With Roswaal-sama in his current condition, I don't like the idea of leaving his side." Ram said.
"Yeah because you like that clown!" Garfiel said.
"And you're jealous?" Ram said with a smug, making Garfiel piss more.
"You should've kept quiet." Rem whispered.
"Yeah, but it's not like you can do anything for him, right? I couldn't believe it when I heard that Garfiel put those bandages on him." Subaru said.
"Don't be a fool. What if I had put them on him and only made his injuries worse?" Ram asked.
"Show a little guilt, would you?!" Subaru whined.
"Makin' your triumphant return with a pretty girl on each arm? You've really got some nerve, you know that?" Garfiel suddenly asked from nowhere.
"I didn't expect you to come out so early in the morning to see me off. So you heard?" Subaru asked.
"Frankly, it pisses me off that this was all decided without me, but I ain't gonna fight it." Garfiel said.
"Really? That's good to know. If you tried to stop me, I would've had to throw Ram off into the distance as a decoy." Subaru said.
"What do you think of me, as a tool for your success?" Ram asked.
"Yes." Everyone replied.
"Eh?" Ram asked.
"You are also used by Roswaal too. So why so surprised, Ram?" Ricardo said.
"That's out of the question." Ram said.
"Heh. My ass." Ricardo said.
"Like that would even work! Would it?" Garfiel asked.
"How would I know?! You should say something to... Ram? What's wrong?" Subaru asked on Ram who had spaced off for a bit.
"This stupid conversation gave me a headache, that's all." Ram said.
"Well, I'm outta here. I should be back tomorrow, so look after things until then." Subaru said.
"You're not gonna say goodbye to the princess?" Garfiel asked.
"I'm surprised you're actually worried about Emilia. But it's fine. I left her a letter. By the way, don't you have anything to give me?" Subaru asked while looking at Garfiel's stone.
"Subaru..." Emilia uttered in sadness.
"Don't worry. You just told him how you really feel about his plans. Maybe he isn't offended by it." Frederica said.
"Yeah, but... I think I, too went overboard about my emotions." Emilia said.
'She's slowly giving in...' The gods' thoughts.
"Huh? The hell are you talkin' about?" Garfiel asked.
"Then are you going to show some concern for me? The woman you love is leaving to fulfill her duty. Have you no desire to offer her some assistance?" Ram said.
"You're only nice when you'll get somethin' out of it, aren't ya? There!" Garfiel said and tosses the stone to Ram.
"Take care of Emilia. Do the best you can to let her know I'm sorry from bottom of my heart!" Subaru said and they left Garfiel.
"Tell her that yourself, damn it!" Garfiel yelled.
"So, Barusu... Will this thing Garf gave us be of some use?" Ram asked.
"I don't know. What do you think? You've known him longer than I have." Subaru said.
"Actually, I have no idea. Since it's part of a matching pair, I'm sure it means something to him." Ram said with a different look.
"You've looked pretty unhappy today." Subaru said.
"What you said earlier... When you said you would throw me as a decoy. For some reasons, that bothered me more than I expected. Almost as if... something like that has really happened before." Ram said as the scene of them before against the wild mabeasts before was shown.
"Ah, I see. That's the reason why. Unfortunately, I haven't seen that scene." Garfiel said.
"That's better then." Ram said.

"Barusu?" Ram said.

"No, there's something else. So I'm going to yell at you about it. There's a girl named Rem..." Subaru said. Timeskip happened and they have finally arrived at the mansion on a cloudy afternoon.
'Please don't let anything be happening. I'm here two days earlier than last time. If it still goes wrong, I'll have to take off Patrasche the moment I wake up in the graveyard. If Frederica turns out to be an enemy, it's crucial to know when she's going to take action.

Should I attack or run? If it's Elsa I'm dealing with, it'd be wise to turn tail and run. Which means...' He thought.
"Barusu!" Ram called on a thinking Subaru.
"What? I was thinking about-" Subaru stopped as Petra can be seen bowing at them.
"Welcome back, Subaru-sama. You returned much sooner than I expected." Petra said. Subaru goes down on his ride with him about to hug Petra.
"Is something wrong, Subaru-sama?" Petra asked in worry.
"Oh, God! You're just so cute!" Subaru said and he hugs her
"What, what?! What is this?! Subaru!" Petra cried.
"He's too worried of me..." Petra said with a giggle.
"Thank goodness. They weren't killed in this one." Ferris said.
"Now then, I want to know what Frederica's true motives are, and what are the schemes she's up to." Crusch said.
"I won't get offended by your possible suspicions on me, Crusch-sama." Frederica said.
"You better." Ferris said.
"Damn! You have no idea what I've been through! Seriously... Damn it... Is that..." Subaru uttered on Petra's cloth on her hand.
"Oh... It's to match the one I gave you." Petra replied. Subaru suddenly hugs her and whiffs.

"No. I'm just incredibly relieved from the bottom of my heart. It's good to be back, Petra." Subaru said.
"If I may be blunt, I don't like this." Ram said.
"I feel like I've heard that before..." Subaru said.
"Yes, because it was sarcasm. The cute sarcasm of a Ram who has been forgotten and left at a loss." Ram said.
"Jealous?" Naofumi asked Ram who quickly looks away.
"Why would I, Naofumi-sama?" Ram asked.
"Eh? You're worried about being left alone in the air? What does that mean for you then? For us, it is jealousy. Jealousy..." Garfiel teased and he gets uppercut by Ram.
"Garfiel!" Frederica said.
"That hurts." Ricardo laughed.
"Bim bam bow!" Mimi exclaimed.
"Um, you're Ram-neesama, right? I was just hired as a new maid in service to the lord of the mansion. I'm Petra. It's a pleasure to meet you." Petra said.
"You seem to know your place, unlike Barusu. Very good. I give you a passing grade. By the way, Barusu, you fail. I won't allow you to cross this mansion's threshold." Ram said.
"What was the point of coming back, then?!" Subaru whined and Petra laughed at it.
"Hey, Petra... has anything weird happened while we were away? Like, with Frederica?" Subaru asked.
"Frederica-neesama? There's nothing weird about her at all." Petra replied.
"Is she inside right now?" Subaru asked.
"She's out patrolling the forest barrier. It may be a while before she gets back." Petra replied.
"Patrolling? For what?" Reinhard asked.
"For a possible attack of those Mabeasts." Julius replied.
"Is that good timing or bad?" Ram asked.
"I'm not sure if our timing is good or bad. What should we do, Barusu?" Ram asked.
"Oh, I also said that in the future. Great." Ram said and some laughed.
"That's nice." Garfiel said while wiping the blood on his mouth.
'That punch sure packs a lot of power!' Otto thought while looking at Garfiel.
"I want to see what she's going to do. We'll wait with Rem in the meantime." Subaru said. The scene shifted to them out of Rem's room.
"I'm going to get back to cleaning. If you need anything, please call for me." Petra said and walks away.
"You're nervous, huh?" Subaru asked.
"I am not." Ram replied.
"Well, you should be. It's the right reaction. I want you to be." Subaru said. They now entered the room and still seeing Rem in her slumber.
"I'm so glad you're all right." Subaru mumbled.
"Barusu..." Ram said.
"What?" Subaru asked.
"Could you leave us alone for a bit?" Ram asked and she nodded. Subaru walks out of the room and leaves Ram there.
"It's a start... It's a start." Subaru uttered.
"You returned sooner than I expected, Subaru-sama. What a surprise." Frederica said to Subaru who was surprised by her.
"Here she is!" Lucas said.
"Hmmm..." Mildo hummed.
"Since Emilia-sama is not with you, I assume the trial is not yet complete?" Frederica asked as the scene shifted to the living hall.
"Yeah. There are some things I want to ask you. First, about this." Subaru said as he shows the stone of Garfiel to Frederica.
"That is... Garf's stone." Frederica said with a bit shocked expression and gets the stone.
"Yeah. So you really do know him... I mean, you really are related?" Subaru asked.
"Garf did not tell you so himself?" Frederica asked.
"It's easy enough to guess from your faces. And I imagine you're the older sibling." Subaru said.
"You are correct. I am Garf's... Garfiel's older sister by blood." Frederica said while bawling her eyes.
"I can tell with those sharp gnawing teeth of yours." Hetaro said.
"Huh?! What's with our teeth, huh?!" Garfiel angrily yelled.
"Go directly to the point, Subaru-kun." Rem said.
"Calm down, Rem. We'll get in there now." Emilia said.
"Answer me something. Why did you use the glowing stone to set a teleport trap? Can't tell me that because of your oath, either? Well, this is one thing you need to-" Subaru was stopped by Frederica as he touches her shoulder.
"Subaru-sama... What do you mean by "teleport"? I-I do not know how to respond to that look." Frederica said with an uneasy look.
"Wait! Wait, wait! You won't fool me! I know you're working with the conservatives who don't want the sanctuary to be freed!" Subaru yelled.
"Conservatives? I do not know what you mean. You will need to explain everything from the beginning..." Frederica said.
"Huh?!" Everyone asked in shock.

"Yeah!" Felt said.
"Just listen first, everyone!" Naofumi yelled.

"Uh, no, I was..." Subaru uttered. Ram drinks the tea that is meant for Subaru.
"Your skill at making tea hasn't improved since we left, I see." Ram said.
"Oh... but making tea is the one I excel at. What an unlovable girl you are." Frederica said while looking away.
"I'm perfectly lovable. If I were more lovable, the world would be in danger." Ram said.
Al suddenly coughed hard after he heard this. Priscilla had an annoyed look after they heard this from Ram.
"Lovable? But the way you work at certain things at the mansion won't qualify you as a lovable person." Al said.
"Ouch." Typhon said.
"Damn, he got her on that one." Kadomon said.
"Yikes..." Minerva said.
"You always have a sharp retort ready. Honestly... How very like you." Frederica said and sits on the chair.
"And? If you don't know about the teleporting, why did you give Barusu the glowing stone?" Ram asked.

"You can't tell us because of your oath? If so, that's a pathetic excuse, Frederica." Ram said with a sharp stare on her.
"You are right. I cannot tell you anything." Frederica replied.
"What that oath could be?" Mimi asked.
"Is that related to those who work in evil forces related to the Witch Cult?" Tivey asked.

'She's now getting pressured by the Iron Fang's mercenaries. I knew it.' Roswaal thought.
"What's with that oath why you can't tell them? I know you didn't know all of the things that happened before to Subaru and his ability of Return By Death but what's... with the oath?" Julius coldly asked.
"Stop interrogating her, knights! Letting her spit the truth won't make our sense of watching your future!" Tanya yelled.
"Yes, ma'am! We apologize for what we did!" The knights saluted.
"Sticking to your pathetic excuse, I see. Then there's nothing more to discuss." Ram said as she forms a stance to protect Subaru.
"Hey, take it easy!" Subaru said.
"Your refusal to answer makes your betrayal clear. We will restrain you and take you to the Sanctuary. Then we can figure out who's been giving you your orders." Ram said.
"Yeah, but..." Subaru uttered.
"If you insist on taking me to the Sanctuary, I will not resist." Frederica said.
"There, see? Even Frederica's- Wait, what?" Subaru asked.
"I said that I will not resist." Frederica replied.
"You... won't? Why?!" Subaru asked.
"You're awfully slow on the uptake. Frederica can't break her oath of her own free will, so you'll have to use force to make her, Barusu. That's the kind of excuse she needs." Ram said.
"You guys are in perfect sync." Subaru said.
"Naturally." Frederica said.
"We've known each other for nearly ten years." Ram said.
"Eh?! Then that acting is all good then!" Felt said.
"That's why she can't do anything harsh on Frederica to make her confess." Old Man Rom said.
"If that's all it's gonna take, frankly, I'm relieved. I want to get out of here as soon as-" Subaru stopped as someone interfered with him.
"Oh, dear. I wish you wouldn't say such unfriendly things." The one who interfered in their talk is none other than Elsa who gets Petra as her hostage while entering the room.
"Kyah!" Petra cried and everyone got furious at Elsa around them.
"Elsa!" Reinhard said.
"Who the hell is this busty bitch?" Garfiel said with an annoyed look.
"Wait! How did this happen?! Subaru arrived at the mansion two days before the possible incident! But... don't tell me..." Emilia uttered.
"That murderer is already lurking in the mansion for days, waiting for Subaru to return." Echidna said.
"Correct!" Daphne said.
"Now, let's keep the promise we made." Elsa said.
"Promise? Hey! What is the meaning of this?!" Rem angrily asked.
"Rem-sama! I..." Frederica uttered.
"You..." Julius uttered angrily.
"Hey! Look at their faces! Do you think they're acting like enemies then later they're allies in reality?" Kazuma said, making some start to realize the situation better.
"Nee-sama... Subaru... Run!" Petra yelled.
"El Fula!" Ram fired her Wind Magic at Elsa, strong enough to break the doors open, making Petra too get loose and Frederica strikes her claws at Elsa's blade.
"Partial beast transformation... You have demihuman blood. How lovely." Elsa said.
"Petra!" Frederica called on the kid.
"I'll shred you!" Ram yelled and strikes another attack on Elsa, making blood spurt out of her arm.
"Her arm..." Ram uttered.
"Goodness, that hurt. I thought I was a goner. I like it. Maids in large, medium, and small, and one boy. I'll put you all on a table and compare what's inside your bellies." Elsa said.
"Hey! This isn't some McDonald's bullshit for some cup sizes!" Kazuma yelled.
"Mc..." Puck uttered.
"...Donald...?" Roswaal asked.
"Seriously reacting for that?!" Naofumi angrily asked.
"But she said large, medium, and small!" Kazuma cried.
"Idiot!" Tanya yelled.
"Even Garf's pick-up lines are better! Barusu!" Ram said.
"I know! Shamac!" Subaru uses his Dark Magic as a smokescreen for them to escape. He got thrown away by Ram for them to go for a running start.
"We're leaving!" Ram said. Subaru got hit by a needle blade from Elsa from behind.
"Subaru!" Petra cried.
"Frederica!" Subaru yelled at Frederica who got hit on the back by several blades and they jumped out of the window.
"Ul Fula!" Ram fired another wind magic as a distraction while they jump away.
"Frederica-neesama!" Petra cried on Frederica.
"I underestimated our opponent." Frederica said.
"Huh...? So they aren't allies or acting at all?" Mimi asked.
"You guys jump too fast on conclusions." Kazuma sighed.
"Yeah! You really do because you got hurt so easily like a weakling!" Garfiel yelled.
"Hey! I'm over here!" Frederica yelled at Garfiel.
"I'm yelling at your future self!" Garfiel yelled.
"But it is still me after all!" Frederica yelled.
"Will you please shut up?!" Minerva yelled at the two but Tanya stomps the butt of the rifle on the floor to shut them all.
"Are you... going to shut up or what?" Tanya menacingly asked, making everyone shiver.
"We're sorry, ma'am." Everyone replied while bowing down.
"Ow... Damn it... Did we get her?" Subaru asked.
"It didn't feel like it. Who was she?" Ram asked.
"Rem... Beatrice... We have to save them." Subaru said.
"We leave them here. The four of us will escape and leave them here. That's the best option right now." Ram said, making Subaru start to look at her with anger.
"What... did you... What the hell are you saying?!" Subaru angrily asked.
"What good will yelling do? Calm yourself." Ram said.
"That's Rem inside the mansion! Your sister! You love her, and she loves you! You have to protect your little sister!" Subaru said.
"I only made the appropriate judgment. Losing you along with Frederica and me would be a far greater loss for our side. Sacrifices must be made." Ram said.
"Rem, I'm sorry..." Ram said.
"Don't worry, Sister... I'm not angry. You're just doing the right thing." Rem said while hugging her.
"What an understanding sister she is. But I'm still against leaving them on the mansion." Naofumi said.
"There's nothing you can do in that situation, Naofumi. If you are in Subaru's position, you would choose the best but disappointing option for yourselves." Tanya said.
"Sacrificing your sister just like that? You serious?" Ricardo asked.
"Aw... I wish we knew this situation ahead before and maybe can lend them a hand." Anastasia said.
"Ehem! This is the future, not the past." Priscilla said.
"Oh, my apologies!" Anastasia said.
"You're talking about sacrificing-" Subaru said.
"Yes, she may be my younger sister. I sensed that the same blood flows in her as in me. But her existence itself is a blank. Still, if she's my sister, this is what she would say: "Please sacrifice me to save Roswaal-sama." Ram said.
"Excuse me, what?!" Minerva angrily asked as some were in bewilderment after they heard this. Crusch already had enough of such things made for Roswaal alone. Emilia and Rem had no choice but to cover their mouths in a shocking revelation of Ram's decision of leaving Rem for Roswaal. The witches may have no connection to them but some of them feel disappointed in Ram's resolve.
"A sacrifice for Roswaal...? What is he? A fucking god? Is that what you're trying to say, Ram?!" Garfiel angrily yelled.
"I didn't mention anything about Roswaal-sama being a-" Ram stopped when Emilia slapped her in the face.
"Emilia-sama!" Some people called.
"How... How in the hell you can do that to your sister? Because of your love for Roswaal? Is that what you're trying to say, Ram?! Subaru did all of this for you and you're just going to use him too for your plans for Roswaal?!" Emilia angrily asked.
Rem on the other hand doesn't know now how to react to the decision Ram has stated. Should she be happy about it or not, now that she knew that Roswaal's dark motives are about to be exposed and revealed.
"This may be the future but you can punish them in advance if you want to." Kazuma said.
"Rem... Tch! Damn him." Naofumi said.
"She wouldn't say such words as that. Her existence was gone after the Archbishop of Gluttony took it, right? Now, how did you know that she will say that for Roswaal? Is she that loyal much to Roswaal like you do?" Felt said.
"I... didn't bring you here to make you say that." Subaru said.
"I believe we should save the two of them. Both Beatrice-sama and Rem are also vital to our side." Frederica said with blood on her mouth.
"M-Me, too! I think we should save them, too! I agree with her!" Petra said.
"We're not taking a majority vote. Be quiet, child." Ram said.
"I-I may be a child, but I'm plenty grown-up! Frederica-neesama even said I'm more useful than you!" Petra yelled.
"Daaaang!" Kazuma yelled and Naofumi smacks him.
"Now that's what you call lovable? I prefer what Petra said to her as lovable words." Priscilla laughed.
"Even the kid knows better more than you, Ram. Shame on you!" Puck said.
"This hasn't happened yet but, I'm starting to get disappointed at your actions, Ram." Ryuzu said.
"You won't say a thing to us all? Why? You knew this will happen? Pathetic." Ricardo said on Ram who looks at Roswaal, assuming that he'll say something for her to protect her but the clown-looking lord of the mansion looks away with a giggle.
"Roswaal-sama..." Ram uttered.
"Frederica, what did you say to her?" Ram asked in an angry look.
"Since it was my idea, I will assume the task of stopping the enemy." Frederica said and she starts ripping her clothes.
"Ah! This is it!" Kazuma exclaimed in excitement but Naofumi throws him away.
"Is she... gonna..." Garfiel uttered.
"She'll fight." Ryuzu said.
"So you're deliberately choosing to draw the short straw again. You're just like Garf." Ram said.
"You girls are my precious junior colleagues. Also, it is incorrect to say I am "just like Garf." Garf is the one who imitates me." Frederica said. She kneels and starts to transform herself into a beast with the help of the stone.
"So this is a beast transformation?" Subaru asked and Frederica's transformation was completed and she roared loud enough.
"Petra, I am sorry for frightening you." Frederica said.
"Wow! So cool!" Mildo exclaimed.
"She transformed into a beast!" Lucas added.
"Heh. As usual." Garfiel said.
"This is the reason why Roswaal said that Natsuki-san doesn't stand a chance on her. She might lop his head off." Otto said.
"H-Hey... I won't do that for Subaru-sama..." Frederica chuckled.
"I hope she succeeds in this one." Ferris said.
"Yeah." Crusch said.
"Way to go, Frederica!" Ricardo cheered.
"You can still talk like that?" Subaru asked
"I am still me, after all. You did wonderfully resisting the urge to scream." Frederica said.
"Yes... Yes! Please be careful!" Petra said.
"Good girl. Ram, I leave the rest in your hands." Frederica said.
"No need to remind me. But if you fall too far behind, I'll make you regret it." Ram said. Frederica roared once again and returns to the area where they escaped.
"Snap out of it! Let's go." Ram said after smacking Subaru.
"Right... We'll start with Rem." Subaru said. The scene shifted to them arriving in the hallway.
"This is bad... This is bad! This is bad... We've gotta hurry upstairs!" Subaru said in worry after what happened to the hallway. A sudden roar from the smoke stopped them as a huge mabeast is in the hallway.
"A mabeast?!" Puck asked.
"How did that thing get in the mansion?!" Rem angrily asked.
"Elsa will bring reinforcements to counter Frederica, huh? Or is she that desperate to take out Subaru and all of them at once." Reinhard said.
"Both are considered as a yes, if I'm asked." Felt said.
"And this thing looks stronger and different than the ones before." Julius said.
"A mabeast?!" Subaru yelled. The beast now starts to chase them after the smoke went out.
"This way." Petra said and they ran away to a room. They quickly closed the door but the face of the mabeast crushes through.
"El Fula!" Ram used her wind magic to hit the mabeast's face.
"Why is a mabeast here?!" Subaru asked.
"There's no time for questions. It's here, and that's that! I'll go fetch the ground dragon from the stable." Ram said.
"You mean Patrasche?" Subaru asked.
"With a mabeast here, we'll need transportation. Retrieve the two of them while I draw it away. Fula! Follow me!" Ram said and fired another wind magic to the mabeast before it enters the room and now chases Ram. Subaru and Petra hid on the corner to prevent getting spotted by the mabeast and its bats.
"Okay... Now's my-" Subaru stopped as he's on his knees due to the blood loss from his wound.
"Subaru?! You're bleeding!" Petra said. She grabs the blade on his back even if she starts to wound herself too.
"This is gonna hurt! Be strong! Three, two..." Petra pulls the blade and quickly covers Subaru's wounds.
"I can say she's way useful than Ram." Mimi said.
"Hey, Ram used herself as a decoy just now to make them move freely from the mabeast." Tivey said.
"That hurts, Petra!" Lucas said.
"I'll do everything for Subaru!" Petra said and this made Emilia and Rem look at her.
"Petra..." Rem and Emilia uttered.
"Petra has one point while the two of them got none." Kazuma said while raising his hands with two and zero on it.
"Scumbag." Naofumi said.
"Thanks... But what happened to "one"? Subaru asked.
"You were less tense this way." Petra replied with a smile. Subaru quickly looked at Petra's hand which got injured.
"Petra... I'm sorry. I'm always putting you in danger." Subaru said sadly.
"Don't say silly things like that! I'm grateful to you! You always come to save me when I'm in danger! So this time, it's my turn. We'll get Rem-neesama and Beatrice-chan out of here, and escape with Ram-neesama and Frederica-neesama. All of us!" Petra said.
"Thanks for those words of encouragement, Petra." Frederica said, making her giggle.
"I'm glad you are helping us even if you are still at a young age." Rem said while patting her head.
"You're amazing, Petra. I feel so pathetic." Subaru said.
"No, you're-" Petra said.
"No, I didn't mean that as a complaint. I meant I've gotta try harder to be as amazing as you. Let's go. Like you said, we're all gonna get out of here." Subaru said and offers her a hand.
"Yeah!" Petra replied. The two looked outside if it's safe or not.
"Oh!" Petra said.
"Wh-What!?" Subaru asked in shock.
"I meant "Yes," not "Yeah"! That is... The appropriate response was "Yes"! Petra said with a tongue on her mouth.
"I'll have Frederica or Ram scold you lat-" Subaru stopped as another explosion surprised them at the hallway and things blacked out.
"What happened?!" Otto cried.
"Damn those explosions!" Minerva yelled.
"I'm worried for Petra's safety." Emilia said.
"Tch! Elsa..." Ricardo uttered.
"...rusu! Barusu! That was a mistake. I should have come to check sooner. I must do what I must do. I'm going to do so, too. That's it. Very good." Ram's voice was heard as Patrasche now transports Subaru away from the mansion.
"Pa... asche..." Subaru uttered. A mabeast encounters Patrasche and blood splattered around, making Subaru fly away back to the hallway with a bloodied face. He coughed much blood and his left eye is soaked with blood.
"No!" Some yelled at what happened and worried about Petra and Subaru.
"What now, Roswaal?! Happy to see these events happening?!" Crusch angrily asked.
"Oh? I'm just quiet in here all along-" Roswaal stopped as he gets slapped hard by Crusch.
"Crusch-sama!" Ferris called.
"Natsuki Subaru may not be from my party, but I do care for him and to the others' safety and lives! And yet, you are secretly enjoying things that have happened in the future, am I right?!" Crusch angrily asked. Echidna fell silent and tried not to make any altercations with them.
"Does she love Subaru?" Tanya asked.
"According to the previous gods, if she had a chance with him, she'll love him more than anyone else." Kazuma said.
"Harem, huh?" Naofumi uttered.
"This... is... *wipes blood from his eyes* Are you okay, Pet-" Subaru stopped as he finds out that he is holding Petra's forearm and her body is found to be covered in rubble. And Patrasche is found dead outside the mansion and this made him cry aloud.
"Kyaa!" Petra cried and fainted after she sees herself dying once again.
"Not again..." Naofumi angrily uttered.
"Petra!" Rem cried and some assisted Petra who lost her consciousness just now.
"Her hand is still holding Subaru's hand even if she gets killed." Puck uttered in horror.
"This is unacceptable! I can't let this happen in our future!" Julius angrily said.
"Yeah!" Tivey said.
"Count me in! Bim bam bow!" Mimi exclaimed.
Subaru slowly walks on the hallway, holding Petra's cloth filled with blood.
"Ah, you've finally found me!" Elsa said as she is standing behind Subaru.
"Where's... Frederica.?" Subaru uttered.
"You mean the big maid? Don't worry. She proved to be quite enjoyable." Elsa said.
"She got... killed?" Garfiel asked as he starts to get angry in a worse way.
"I got... killed too?" Frederica uttered in shock.
"Just how strong she is?!" Mildo cried.
"Only if I'm powerful enough to beat her down!" Otto cried.
"Damn her... Damn her!" Felt yelled.
"Who sent you after us?" Subaru asked.
"I don't speak of my clients. I do have that much courtesy, at least. Though, since you came back sooner than expected, this didn't play out exactly as my directions specified." Elsa said.
"Not as... specified..." Subaru uttered.
"Did someone knew this to happen?" Puck asked as they are trying to learn more about how Elsa knew all of this to happen.
"It seems like... Someone knows too of Subaru's plans after all. Aside from Roswaal, who could it be?" Reinhard asked.
"Two maids and one shut-in... It was supposed to be timed to your return." Elsa said.
"This is... enough." Subaru said while shaking his head slowly.
"She knows too that she is a shut-in... But how...?" Julius asked.
"There is an informant that might know more of Subaru-kun too!" Rem said.
"True. I don't want Maylie taking any more credit from me. So let's end this now. I'll send you to meet the angels." Elsa said as she approaches Subaru.
"Maylie? Who is she?" Emilia asked.
"Probably one of her allies." Ram replied.
"So they're in a competition-like situation, I guess." Echidna said.
'Even if this world won't last, Rem!' Subaru thought as he quickly opens the door to Rem's room to hide but he was shocked to see himself in Beatrice's library.
"Why... Why did you save me?! Beatrice!" Subaru yelled in shock and the title "The Maiden's Gospel" appeared on everyone.
"Beatrice?!" Everyone shrieked.
"Wow, I now saved him from his death, but he looks mad at me, I suppose." Beatrice said.
"If he opened Rem's room but it turns out to be Betty's room who saved him, does that mean..." Puck uttered.
"She was also taken out too." Al said.
"Rem... Rem..." Ram uttered in a gloomy mood. Rem grabs her head and starts to get freaked out by the events in the future.
"Shall we head now into the next one?" Tanya asked and everyone nodded to her.
