Chapter 11

Morgan

Morgan's Dad gave her and Willie one last hug as they stood in front of the Ghost Zone Portal. "Take care of each other. I made a lot of enemies in the Ghost Zone, who might not take too kindly to my kids being there. Just head straight to Clockwork's Tower and back. That's all you need to do," he told them one more time. "We know Dad," Willie grumbled next to Morgan, they were going to take a smaller version of the Specter Speeder that their Aunt Jazz had made, it would only hold them so it could move faster and be more fuel efficient, but it also lacked weapons; if they were attacked, they were on their own. "I love you," their Dad said one last time, and stepped back from them. Morgan plugged in the coordinates to Clockwork's Tower and the Specter Speeder flew into the Ghost Zone.

Morgan took a moment to enjoy the sights of the Ghost Zone, its chaos had a strange, ethereal beauty, from the islands floating on nothing to random doors and ghosts of all shapes and sizes. Willie and Morgan saw it all, even Willie was mesmerized by it. It was almost like the shark tubes of an aquarium, only there was no glass to keep the sharks away from them.

"We got incoming," Willie said, and Morgan saw on the Specter Speeder's radar that a large blue dragon was approaching them. "I think that's Dora," Morgan said. Willie went Ghost anyway, ready to fight whoever it was. The dragon flew closer but didn't act aggressively. It peered into the Specter Speeder and then said in a woman's voice, "Are you Danny Phantom's children?" Morgan answered Dora, "Yes, we are…your Highness?" Dora chuckled and said, "Follow me to Clockwork's Tower. We've gathered as many ghosts as would come. There are many more who won't come, and there are many who oppose Danny Phantom, but, the neutral ones are the majority, for now." Morgan nodded and drove the Specter Speeder, following after Dora.

They saw many ghosts along the way, dressed as modern people. "God…don't tell me these are the ghosts of the Brotherhood's victims…" William darkly muttered. Dora said, "Yes, they are. It is usually a small percentage of humans that become ghosts after death, but, when that is a small percentage of billions killed in a single year…" Morgan's eyes glowed green in rage as she saw all the ghosts of the people that her family couldn't save.

They eventually made it to Clockwork's Tower, where countless ghosts surrounded it, all of them waiting to listen to Morgan and William. The young halfas landed on the small amount of land around the Tower and got out of the Specter Speeder. They both went ghost, their black hair turned pure white, Morgan's blue eyes and William's purple eyes turned green, and their clothes changed: William's into a green jumpsuit with white belt, boots, and gloves and Morgan's into a sky-blue jumpsuit with white belt, boots, and gloves. The two halfas looked at the gathered crowd, and Clockwork in his baby form motioned to a podium he had set up.

Morgan walked up to it with butterflies in her stomach, she had tried to prepare a speech, but the words just never came. She had to speak from the heart and hope for the best. She took a deep breath and said, "Ghosts of the Ghost Zone," and her voice was projected loud enough for all the ghosts to hear. "Some of you know me, some of you don't. My name is Morgan Fenton, also called Morgan Phantom, the daughter of Danny Phantom, and this is my twin brother, William. We have come to you today to ask for your help.

"As I'm sure you know, the humans are at war with werewolves and vampires under the Brotherhood of the Fang. Billions have been slaughtered, and more continue to die every day. We have fought our hardest, with everything we have, and we bear the scars of our battles," Morgan rubbed the scars on her face, and William unconsciously touched the stump of his missing arm. "In the past, our family both fought with and aided the ghosts to keep a balance between you and the Human Realm. That balance is now threatened. We cannot hope to win this war against the Brotherhood of the Fang by ourselves. Our situation is dire, and even if we win, it will be generations before the lives lost will be replaced.

"Some of you here are ghosts of the victims, or the soldiers who heroically gave your lives to try to keep these monsters from your families. Many of you have never meant harm to humans, but these werewolves are not like you. They desire only to conquer, and control. I ask you; do you think that after they have the Human Realm that they will be satisfied? It may not be now, but werewolves have long lives. Maybe in a hundred or a thousand years, they may come for the Ghost Zone as well. They are savage, brutal, and unrelenting monsters…"

Tears flowed freely from Morgan's eyes as she remembered all the people she saw being killed, all the monsters she had to kill to keep the people she loved safe, every way that her life had gone to Hell and she needed a moment to breathe before she continued. "I beg you, for the future of both of our kind, we, the humans need your help. Fight beside us, instead of against us. Let our peoples be united, so that we can have peace once again. And when the war is over, and the last werewolf is dead, we may even have a chance to usher in a new era between humans and ghosts, working together to make all our existences better. Please, you may be the only chance we have."

Morgan stepped away from the podium, and many of the ghosts applauded her. And many of them were silent as well, however. One flew forward then, Morgan recognized him as the Box Ghost. "BEWARE! What is in it for us, the ghosts, if we assist you humans?" Morgan saw the ghosts all talking and didn't know what to say. Thankfully, Willie stepped up then. "The chance for us to stop fighting," Willie said to the Box Ghost, "The chance for us to move freely between realms and be friends. Box Ghost, you know that my Dad has always tried to keep balance between the Ghost Zone and Human Realm. Many times you fought him, but when the Ghost Zone was in danger, Dad would fight with you as well. Why can't we be friends instead? Share the Ghost Zone and Human Realm?"

The ghosts all started talking among themselves, and it soon became a very loud discussion. Clockwork turned into his old man form and told the two young halfas, "You did all you could. Some are convinced, others are not. Either way, you need to wait until you see who will fight beside you." Clockwork turned into his young man form and Willie asked him, "Will this work?" Clockwork shrugged, "There are some things I can't tell you. The future is always moving, decided by the choices of everyone. There are futures where this will fail, and others where it will succeed. All that you can do, is go back home, and wait." Willie and Morgan nodded, and got back into the Specter Speeder, praying that their mission had succeeded.

Seras

Seras and Athena waited for the werewolves to come get them, but nothing happened. Seras felt as the pressure of Alpha's mind on hers ceased, but not without one last message from Alpha, Enjoy your present. Seras grabbed Athena immediately and started running, kicking through every door that she saw, looking wherever she could. She opened her Third Eye to look for any humans and felt no signs of life. After seven doors, she finally smelled blood. A lot of blood. Even more than when Millennium slaughtered Hellsing's soldiers, or when they attacked again and killed almost all of the Wild Geese. Seras stopped, and tried to find a place without the blood, but her body yearned for sustenance. She was weak, she was starving.

"Wait here," Seras told Athena. Seras let her down, and followed the smell of delicious blood, she couldn't stop it anymore. She emerged in a hallway covered with blood, and immediately used telekinesis to draw the blood off the floor and walls. She immediately regretted it, as soon as the blood entered her mouth, she saw everything, all the memories of the thousands slaughtered. And still she drank it in, every murdered man, woman, and child entered into her mind, into her very being. She couldn't stop herself anymore, she needed blood!

Seras shed bloody tears even as she took in ever more precious blood, even as her strength returned, and increased, a storm of screams filled her soul as she saw how the Brotherhood had wantonly slaughtered every human in their base, just to hurt her. By the time she drank her fill, Seras collapsed on the ground, wanting to die again. "I am truly a monster now…"
