Something unexpected happened in the final stage of Holy Grail War (UBW-route). [One-Shot]

At the end of the Fourth Holy Grail War a wish was granted to a boy that was never supposed to come to fruition. This wish granted the boy the strength to break free from his chains and use those chains as a weapon. True weapons are forged in fire. True strength is earned through pain. Rated T for now.

There were times where Shirou cursed himself for being too nice and housing the alternate reality version of himself was number 2 out of 3. The first one was agreeing to let him go to school and teach him how to use Magic properly. Going along with the sadistic teen (and mini Servants), his life has become a lot more complicated- yet, why does he feel excited?

No matter the timeline, there is always that one person who is fated to lose. To be ridiculed and hated by everyone. But perhaps, in another reality, there might be a route to salvation. This is a story of reversing fate and of the world's greatest loser becoming a hero. Because just as every dog has his day, every hero has his legend... Or maybe not. He's trying his best, okay?

On his last breath, Shirou destroyed the Greater Grail, along with Angra Mainyu. He had been expecting to die quietly, not to somehow become employed by Alaya. Though he had been human, he was a Heroic Spirit, and as Avenger of the Fourth Holy Grail War, he would do his best to win, and save those people who had shaped him from his birth in fire. The Avenger would save them.

In 2024 an old man, the last living survivor of the last Holy Grail War, takes four friends from Clock Tower on a journey while telling them about his experiences as a Master. Basically my take on Fate/Stay Night set in 1964 England instead of modern day Japan and my attempt to turn the FSN routes into a trilogy. Please read Author's Note in the Prologue before reading.
