Spoilers to 3x02, Sign of Three. A wedding wasn't really the best place to break off her engagement to Tom, but 'meat dagger' was the last straw for her. Stabbing him with a dessert fork probably didn't help either. She felt guilty - Sherlock, on the other hand, seemed to find it all rather amusing. He was, however, serious in his intention to stake a claim now she was unattached.

John learns how to ride a bike to teach his child years later; Sherlock teaches him. Later on that day he gets the lovely visit of his twins niece and nephew. In overall it seems random, but it's just Sherlock realizing he's surrounded by children and he'll have to get used to it.

John and Harry live with their Father, an abusive, cruel man. One day Father comes home drunk when Harry is packing to escape with John. Harriet is killed, but John gets away. He slips a map to Harry's body into the jacket of his favorite person in the whole world other than Harry (a man who doesn't even know he exists)- Consulting Detective Sherlock Holmes. Kid-John, no pairing.

Sometimes the path to hell is paved with the best of intentions… Perhaps Sherlock shouldn't try to praise anyone? Or at least not John. It might be a bit not good.
