A five plus one. The title is the summary. I would say more but then my summary might be longer than the story, and really who wants that.

Post-Reichenbach. The only way John can handle Sherlock's absence is by opening to his psychiatrist, while Sherlock is making silent promises to return. But it appears, once one has taken a different path, no matter how hard one tries, there's no finding one's way back to its original course. This fic was inspired to me by Tracy Chapman's "the Promise". Warning : Angst.
