Anderson doesn't get enough love because he's the middle child, and he's annoying and whinny and the only love he gets is from Donovan, so here's a sprinkle of his empiric idiocy at its grandest. For the past few days John has noticed a sadness surrounding Sherlock. Deciding it has gone on long enough, John finds out what is going on. He finds out Sherlock has really gotten the wrong idea, after hearing part of a conversation, and John has to set his love straight on a few things.

Second reunion. I don't think John would punch or curse or yell the first time he sees Sherlock's return. Rather he'd stop interacting with the detective until he accepts the reality.
