When Sherlock returned from the dead, he had a lot of explaining to do. In the rebuilding of his old life, one crucial detail slipped his mind.

Many times, he had written and directed the scenario of their reunion in his head. But never had Sherlock even thought of this one.

Sometimes, Sherlock spends more time on taking care of John than on cases. Sometimes, John spends more time on cases and Sherlock than he does on himself. More or less canon compliant. No slash.

Mycroft is back to his old ways, because he simply can't help himself. His nasty habit leads to an abusive relationship, one which he doesn't know how to fix or get out of. He soon gets caught, and things don't look too good for him any more.

Sherlock has always hated Anderson, but something in him finally clicks that he has been waiting to do for a long time. Proceed at your own risk.

This isn't the reunion. This isn't even the fight againt Moriarty's army. This is the inevitable fall-out, after the fight, after the arguements...before the rest of their lives. One-Shot: Being cuffed to a radiator, with a concussion, was never going to end well.

With each Christmas that follows Sherlock's death, John starts to find it easier to move on.
