John gets a letter saying he's to be shipped off to Afghanistan for three weeks and he and Sherlock are forced to see what the other truly means to them.

Sherlock is sick and won't let John take him to the hospital. John learns something about his aloof flatmate he didn't before. NOT slash.

The first time John catches eyes with Sherlock, he is young and on his first Watch. John doesn't miss the spark of recognition in those grey eyes.

A one shot in which the veteran finds himself reflecting on his life—or at least the parts he truly lived—driving himself to move beyond the detective's... truancy.

For a kink meme prompt: I'd love to see a take on Watson's limp as a real and severe injury. Amputee!Watson makes a disturbing amount of sense in the context of his service. He's gotten fluid enough that people don't recognize it immediately. How do they find out?

John contemplates the rain and what it means to him as well as the world around him in a moment he hadn't quite excepted.

Sherlock may be gone, but John still has his phone number, if nothing else. Series of 100-300 word drabbles. All friendship.

Sherlock is hired by his brother to find a cure for the strange phenomenon John Watson has unwittingly brought into their world, but it's immediately clear there's more to this case - and more to this man - than meets the eye.
