A/N 1: I don't own Supergirl. The CW does (even if they did her dirty)
A/N 2: So, I have been suffering from a major brain-block with my other Supergirl fic (I Promise I didn't forget) and today, inspiration hit. It came from a simple question. What would happen if Krypton didn't explode, and humans knew of their existence? Which came up with a slightly dark and twisty fic. Hopefully, I can come up with an OK story because I keep losing my inspiration. Much of that is external stressors pushing me down. I am determined though to keep going!
Happy reading! The first chapter will come back around.
PS: I am not making fun of brown eyes. Don't hate me.
Lena didn't know how she ended up in this position. Back on Earth-no,Terra as the Kryptonians called it, she was the Chief Engineer for Luthor-Corp. Not the ideal position. She hated her family. She was striving to start her own company, perhaps a sister company to the weapons megacorporation that was her brother's company. Her fucking brother. That is the catalyst for all of this. With his shitty bald-headed attitude, he unintentionally…nope absolutely intentionally inflamed hatred towards Terrans from the Kryptonians. The godlike complex of that man. If only she had the chance to throttle him. He just had to attack Kal-El. Had he left the man alone, she wouldn't be here. No. She would be finishing her dissertation, perhaps sipping on a nicely aged bourbon.
"Terran!" Lena had to physically restrain herself from rolling her eyes. The Kryptonian Guard called out again, this time Lena sighed. She tried to run back to the slave chambers without running into any Kryptonian. It seemed the Gods loved to prove her wrong. She turned, raising her chin defiantly. Her jade eyes locked onto his ugly, shit brown ones under the stupid hat that the House of El Estate Guards wore.
"I wasn't sure if you were calling for me, my name is Lena. Not Terran. Not Human. Not Trash. It's Lena." A rough backhand stilled any other complaints from the woman. Her head snapped to the side from the impact, a small gasp escaping her lips.
"Gin-Ze! Is this how the guards for the House of El conduct themselves?" a feminine voice boomed from the long hall. Slowly, Lena turned her head to see the man bowing at the waist respectfully.
"My apologies, Princess Zor-El. She instigated it with her uncouth mouth." Slowly, the princess came into view. Lena ran her eyes over the limber but muscular frame of the tall blonde. She crouched to become eye level with the guard. Quick as lightning, she grasped his chin between her thumb and forefinger.
"I do not want excuses, Gin-Ze. I heard what she said, and she's correct. She has a name. And her name is not a slur. Do not make me repeat myself when I say; if I ever hear of this again, even the tiniest whisper of a rumor, and I will take you before the Queen. I hear the Phantom Zone is nice this time of year." With a rough shove, she pushed his face down towards the ground.
"Do not apologize to me. Apologize to Lena." After a quick mumble of an apology at Lena's feet, the guard was gone. The princess watched him scamper away with his tail between his legs like the dog he was. Her attention turned back to Lena, a soft smile graced her lips. Before Lena understood what was happening (partly because of the sound of her name spilling from the Princess' lips,) the Princess did the same to her as she did the guard, but this time, much more gently. She turned her head to inspect the growing red mark on her face. Lena took this moment to study the Princess. Her striking blue eyes showed a benevolence Lena never had the privilege of experiencing, her full lips and gentle slope of her nose beckoned to be touched with tender fingertips. All too soon it was over, much to Lena's dismay.
"Let's get you patched up. Some salve should help." When Lena did not follow, the princess turned to look at her, a question forming on her lips.
"You've been away Princess, so you don't know." Lena began. The Princess approached Lena slowly, holding a hand to silence any resistance from the dark-haired woman.
"You are Lex Luthor's half sister. I make it my business to know who is in my estate." A hand landed on her shoulder, blue eyes searching green. "You are not Lex. You should not be here suffering for your brother's sins." A sadness came over her face, briefly. A sharp inhale.
"I will see to it you are treated not as a prisoner or a slave. Come, Lena." and this time, Lena followed, transfixed by the sexy accent and soft sway of the Kryptonian's hips.

Lena was summoned to the Great Hall. She learned from the groundskeepers that it is the throne room for the House of El. She was nervous. Perhaps, this was her execution. Perhaps, this would finally end her indentured servitude. Perhaps, this is a mercy. Upon entering, there stood Gin-Ze in front of the three occupied seats. Thrones. She reminded herself. The House of El is in fact royalty. There were tall vaulted ceilings and the entire room was white. That alone is intimidating. She had been punished by the royals, but usually by proxy of a royal scribe. Not by the family themselves.
"Bow before the House." Gin-Ze commanded. Lena sank to her knees, her nose touching the crystalline floor. She knew the drill. Bow, get punished (usually withholding of pay that is essential to her freedom) and dismissed. But today was different. The Queen spoke.
"Rise, Lena Luthor." Lena leaned back, still kneeling before the House. She didn't want to push her boundaries. The Princess was seated on the right. She caught Lena's eye and smiled softly. A look that did not go unnoticed by the Queen.
"Today, you will not be punished. Instead, you will repay your debt in a different way." the Princess turned her head to look at her mother, an inquisitive expression crossed her face.
"My daughter tells me you are incredibly intelligent. And from your line of questions about our medical facilities, I must agree. You are a smart Terran. I looked you up. You graduated with a Bachelor's degree in both biomedical engineering, and mechanical at 16 Earth years old. You immediately moved to obtain your Master's in biomedical engineering and in mechanical engineering. Quite ambitious. Before your brother's indiscretion, you were working towards a PhD in both. Again, very commendable." she paused, flicking through pages of the hologram. The crystal's light shifted slightly.
"Your DNA profile is almost perfect. Nothing is wrong other than an allergy towards adhesives and a predisposition to alcoholism, depression, and suicide." Lena nearly choked. They got all that from a drop of blood? "Despite your rather…unfortunate pedigree, you are a good match."
Lena frowned. A good match? The Princess' face resembled that of a fish. She was at a loss for words. The Queen sighed and looked pointedly at the blonde.
"Kara, my daughter, please close your mouth. It is unbecoming of a princess." her mother said flippantly.
"As I was saying. Terra is struggling with our relationship, as tumultuous as it is. We pair you with Kara, and you produce an heir. It will solidify our alliances with Terra. Make no mistake, Terran. Your accomplishments are the sole reason you are still alive where you kneel." Lena froze, her eyes catching the princess'. The queen rose, descending the stairs to stand in front of the dark-haired human.
"You are to wed my daughter and become the Princess' Consort to produce an heir. It is non-negotiable. If you wish to remain breathing."
As she said, it wasn't ideal. But it was definitely better than this.
