"Alright beach towels check, coolers and drinks check, umbrellas check, surfboards check, sunscreen check…ok Star can you stop pacing back and forth please?" Lincoln asked as he looked up from the small cart he had in his room that was filled with various things most people would bring out in the summer rather than during the winter season. "You're kinda stressing me out here."
"Stressed out? Whose stressed out? I'm not stressed out! You're the one whose stressed out!" Star quickly ranted as she continued to pace back and forth in Lincoln's room with a mug of hot cocoa in her hands. "Why would I be stressed out?! I'm only going on a date with the coolest girl on planet earth that could end up making or breaking us! Hahahahaha! I'm as calm as can be SPOCK! SEMPER FIVE!"
"…How many mugs of cocoa have you had today?" Lincoln inquired as he looked at the mug in Star's hand as well as the hot chocolate staining her face.
"Yeah! I know what you're thinking buddy!" Star yelled dramatically as she walked up to Lincoln, speaking in a deeper voice as a means of intimidation. "Did I have six shots or only five?! Well-"
"Ok!" Lincoln quickly took the mug of hot chocolate away from Star before she could even react. "You've had enough!"
"Noooooooo!" Star immediately fell to the ground and grabbed Lincoln's ankles. Her personality quickly took a 180 as she begged Lincoln to give her the cocoa back. "I can handle another one! I swear! I'm good for it pleeeeeease!"
"Star this is a serious matter. You can't drown your worries in cocoa, believe me, I and many of my sisters have tried at some point. Even my mom a few winters ago," Lincoln told her as he walked up to the window and dumped the hot chocolate out.
"AH!" Lynn's screaming could be heard from outside. "What the hell?!"
"Oops, sorry Lynn!" Lincoln apologized before quickly shutting his window before his older sister could say or throw anything back at him. He then turned to Star and saw her still on the floor whimpering, causing him to let out a sigh as he went to get Star back onto her feet whether she wanted it or not. "Look Star I know you're worried about your date with Jackie, trust me I'm worried about my date with Hekapoo too. I really want it to go well. But stressing about it is just gonna make things worse for you, you just need to calm down and try to get your head on straight."
Star let out a long sigh as she was brought back onto her feet before giving a shaky nod. "Yeah…I-I know but…it's just hard ok…" Star hugged herself as she went to go sit down on Lincoln's bed, Lincoln sitting next to her and wrapping an arm around her for comfort. "I just really like Jackie and I want this to go well. I know you two still stayed friends after you broke up but I'm still just scared of the possibility of what might happen if they don't go well…and if they do go well…what'll happen after that?"
"Well hey, regardless of what happens the two of you will figure out what to do next together," Lincoln told her with a confident smile on his face. He understands Star's worries clearly, Luna was the same around the time she started dating Sam especially when it came to telling the family. "You guys are some of the toughest girls I know, whatever happens I know you'll get through it whatever it might be."
"…I guess so…" Star did smile briefly and seemed to be eased, but then another thought came to her mind that made it all come crashing down again. "Oh gosh what if my mom finds out…"
"Hey, that witch can do whatever she wants but there's nothing she can possibly do to control who you date and love." Lincoln told Star firmly. No joking, but if he ever finds Moon trying to mess with Star's love life he could portal right to Moon, march up to the queen, and break her nose with an ice fist. He didn't care about the potential consequences of that. "And me and my family and all our friends will be there backing you up, we'd go to war with Moon if we had to."
"Aw that's sweet," Star giggled a bit at that, Lincoln somehow always knew what to say.
"Doubt it'd be a very hard war," Lincoln shrugged with a joking smirk as he brought out his house keys. "I mean I've seen how dumb Mewmans are, present company excluded, and I'm pretty sure we could beat them by just jiggling some keys around and distracting them."
"Hehehehe, hey come on man them my peeps you talking about." Star playfully shoved Lincoln causing both of them to start breaking out giggling. After a moment of laughter Star was beginning to feel a lot better now and so decided to ask Lincoln. "Sooooo, finally excited to go on a date with Hekapoo~?"
Lincoln couldn't help but blush and smile a bit as he nodded. "Ok yeah I'm really excited about this." Lincoln didn't even try to hide it. He was really looking forward to the day where he and Hekapoo could finally go on a date and today was finally that day! "It's pretty much been on my mind for the last two days, honestly the waiting was starting to kill me."
"Aaaawww, you excited about finally going out with your girlfriend?" Star gushed as she bounced up and down on the bed excitedly. Even if the two hadn't even had their date yet they had no problem calling each other boyfriend and girlfriend, much to Star and Lincoln's sisters cheer, and were both just in total nirvana over it. While Hekapoo has had many 'relationships' in the past this was easily the first one she was actually serious about and excited over. "Gotta say pretty smart thinking to make this a double date at the beach, my first time at an earth beach!"
"And all thanks to dimensional scissors!" Lincoln grinned as he twirled his scissors around in his hand. "Florida here we come! Although out of curiosity what are beaches like on Mewni."
"Oh we only got one." Star answered as she rose up a single finger. "The one leading into the Waterfolk kingdom, though I don't think they like Mewmans very much for some reason."
"If it's anything like with the monsters can't say I blame em," Lincoln said with a low mutter. While he's still got plenty to know about Mewni's relationships with the other kingdoms it wouldn't be hard to see why maybe some of the other kingdoms aren't the biggest fans of them. "So how long until Jackie and Hekapoo get here?"
"They said they'd be here together at two, so we got about ten minutes." Star answered as she looked at the clock on Lincoln's nightstand. "Well I better go get ready, bought myself a new swimsuit just for this!"
"Just no more hot chocolate ok!" Lincoln told Star, making her stick her tongue out at him as she left his room. Once she left Lincoln looked over their cart of beach supplies, after double checking that they had everything Lincoln took a deep breath to try and steel his nerves for what was to come. "Ok Lincoln no need to be nervous. You both like each other, you know this. Just be yourself and make sure you both have fun and there won't be any issues."
After reassuring himself of this Lincoln changed into his swimsuit as well consisting of just a pair of orange swim trunks. "I'm ready~!" Coming back into his room was Star now wearing her own swimsuit which consisted of a purple one piece with a light purple star on the upper part of the suit, Star had also done her hair up in a ponytail. "Just gotta wait for Hekapoo and Jackie to show up…who will see me…in a swimsuit…and Jackie will also be in a swimsuit…" Suddenly Star's face seemed to both pale and heat up at the same time as she finally realized all this. "Oh boy I didn't think this through…"
"Relax Star it'll be fine, I'm sure Jackie's realized the exact same thing." Lincoln said in a calm and collected tone. He's fully prepped for this himself and has made peace with this. "I mean I've realized I gotta see Hekapoo in a swimsuit and I'm not freaking out or anything."
"That's because you're used to her pressing her bod all up against you!" Star shouted out loudly, making Lincoln flinch and quickly start blushing up a storm. Worst part was…he couldn't deny it one bit. "When she sits on your lap and grinds her tush on you, or when she purposely shows off various parts of her body, or when she hugs you and presses her huge-"
"OK! THAT'S ENOUGH OF THAT!" Lincoln, whose face was now a bright red color, snapped to shut Star up before she went further with that. The last thing he wanted was for anyone to overhear what Star was gonna say, or worse for all of those things to be on his mind while on their date…granted he was 101% sure that Hekapoo was gonna end up doing all of that. Especially now that they were an item, but he'd cross that bridge when he got there. "Look the point is that everything will be fine."
"Yeah, yeah totally…just me and Jackie running around the beach in cute swimsuits with water dripping off our skin…" As Star slowly said this her face went redder and redder with each word until her face practically resembled a tomato. "…I gotta go!"
"Oh no you don't!" Right as Star turned around to try and book it Lincoln grabbed her by the ponytail to keep her in his room until Jackie and Hekapoo showed up. "You gotta do this Star, no way out, and they should be here right about…" As Lincoln was speaking a familiar red portal opened up in the middle of his room. "Now."
"Meep!" Star froze like a deer in headlights as she stared at the portal.
"We're here snowball~" Hekapoo's flirty voice was heard as soon as the portal opened, and her tone told everyone one thing. She was excited for this. As Hekapoo stepped out she was revealed to be in her Hailey disguise and, like Star, she was wearing a one-piece swimsuit that was primarily black with a few red highlights and the suit exposed a bit of the top of her cleavage. As tempting as it was for her to wear something a bit more revealing she decided to take it easy on snowball…for now at least. "So what do you think~?"
"Y-You look really nice," Lincoln answered with a small stutter. While he was grateful that Hekapoo wore something more decent she still made sure it showed off plenty of things about her…not that he was complaining too much. "Really p-pretty, hehe…"
"Aw aren't you a charmer," Hekapoo couldn't help but keep a cute smile and blush from appearing on her face. Her past self would have made fun of her relentlessly for what a lovesick dork she was being with Lincoln right now…but she didn't care about that at all. She was in love with the white-headed nerd in front of her and she was happy that they were finally going out and about to have their first official date! Sure she's been on dates before but…not a date-date like this was. It felt really…good and special. "You're not looking too bad yourself hotshot." Hekapoo then grabbed Lincoln's shoulder and brought him down to give him a kiss on the cheek.
Star couldn't comment on the cute sight happening next to her as her eyes focused on the portal. Jackie hadn't come out yet…did she…have second thoughts? "Wait, wait, I'm here!" Before that thought could linger in Star's head any longer the skater girl herself stepped out of the portal. "Sorry, just wanted to make sure I had everything." Just when Star thought her face couldn't possibly get any redder, she saw Jackie wearing her swimsuit. Her suit consisted of a lapis blue bikini top along with a black triangle skirt that had a few blue flowers on it with the petals having white tips as well as white sandals and a small white flower in her hair. "I'm all ready to go now though!"
"W-W-Wow…" Star let out as she examined every part of Jackie. Her swimsuit just seemed to show her off perfect and highlight her best features. Her sun kissed skin that had cute little freckles here and there, her long and strong looking legs no doubt developed from her years of skateboarding, her flat and cute stomach, and for some reason to Star, Jackie's face just seemed even nicer to look at than usual and her hair seemed to shine a little. Jackie seemed to notice Star's lingering gaze and blushed a bit herself.
"You're staring princess~" Hekapoo walked up to Star and lightly nudged her with a shoulder.
"O-Oh sorry!" Star finally snapped back into reality and looked away from Jackie, trying to use her ponytail to hide her burning red face. "I'm so sorry Jackie I didn't mean to stare!"
"Hehe, it's okay." Jackie reassured the princess. Honestly she was liking that Star was staring but was also worried that maybe her swimsuit showed off too much. Both she and Star agreed to take this relationship nice and slowly to make sure the both of them were comfortable and they could figure out what was ok, especially since this thing was something Star was still figuring out about herself. "Is it too much? I have other suits back at home I can go and change if you want."
"No! No! You don't have to do that!" Star quickly told Jackie before she could do that. "You just…look really p-pretty is all, hehe…"
"Aw thanks Star." Jackie inwardly breathed a sigh of relief as she looked over Star. The skater girl couldn't help but also admire how Star looked right now, one pieces definitely worked well on her. "You look pretty too."
"Heheheh…" Star ended up letting out a rather dopey giggle in response as she tried her best not to just faint on the spot right now. "T-T-Thank me. I mean you! Thank me! No! You! Thank…you…hehe…"
"Hey if you're nervous it's alright B-Fly," Jackie could tell from miles away that Star was incredibly nervous about their date and truth be told Jackie was too. While Jackie assured Star that even if things didn't work out they would be fine, Jackie really want things to work out. Even if they only knew each other a few months Jackie has become rather close with the princess and even started to develop feelings for her. While at first Jackie wasn't sure what to make of these feelings, she hoped they would turn into romantic feelings, and this was the first step to seeing if that would be the case. "Let's just have fun ok. You like fun right?"
"…That is true yes," Star smiled a little as Jackie took one of her hands and squeezed it softly. Even Jackie holding her hand just felt…better. "I do like having fun."
"That's my girl," Jackie patted Star on the head a few times, getting a few giggles from the princess. "So let's just have some fun at the beach."
"Yo!" Hekapoo called out to them as Lincoln used his scissors to open up his own portal. "If you two are done being a couple of gay disasters we're ready to go!"
"Hekapoo come on be nice to them," Lincoln told his girlfriend, his heart fluttered as he thought of her like that, with an amused smile. While he understood what Star and Jackie were going through right now…it was incredibly entertaining to watch for multiple reasons. "So you girls ready?"
"Yeah I think we are." Star nodded while giving Hekapoo an unamused look. She has a boyfriend; she should be teasing him not them! Star shook her head, no, she shouldn't be thinking of stuff like that. This day was gonna be about her and Jackie enjoying some sunshine, sand, and knarly waves. "Alright Linc I think we're ready."
"Ladies first then," Lincoln smiled and told the three girls in the room as he stepped out of the way to grab the cart filled with the stuff they would be bringing.
"Always the gentlemen~" Hekapoo patted Lincoln's cheek as she was the first to go through the portal, soon followed by Jackie and Star with Lincoln following right behind them with all their stuff. In an instant they were no longer in Lincoln's room and felt a wave of heat hitting them followed by the light of the shining sun as the sounds of ocean waves, people, and seagulls hit their ears.
Looking around they saw that their portal trip was a complete success, they were no longer in the snow filled Royal Woods but on a sunny and warm beach in Florida. "Welcome to gator country everyone!" Lincoln shouted with a big grin on his face as he closed the portal behind him. He already scouted this place out yesterday and opened a portal where no one would see so they wouldn't end up causing any sort of panic. While Royal Woods has gotten used to magic and weirdness, the rest of the world wasn't exactly the same…well maybe Canada. "Home of the best amusement parks in the world, the Kennedy space center, and the most shirtless people per capita."
"Truly it's ahead of its time." Jackie said with a joking tone.
"Wow feel that sunshine…" Star let out a relaxed sigh as she soaked in all the bright rays. While she loved the winter Royal Woods had, she forgot how much she missed the sun shinning down brightly on everything. "Vitamin D come to mama."
"So what's the plan here now?" Hekapoo asked as she leaned against a nearby rock. While she would rather just get started right away and have some fun with her boyfriend, she also knew her boyfriend would have a plan of some sort for this whole thing. That's just how he was. "We gonna stick together or split up?"
"I already thought of that," And just as Hekapoo predicted, Lincoln already got a plan for things. "I think we should split up and set up different spots and just have our own stuff going on, think that'll make all of us happy."
"Ah so you wanna get some alone time with me huh~?" Hekapoo immediately took advantage of those words as she went up to her boyfriend and danced her fingers around his chest. She giggled as she felt Lincoln shivering at her touch instantly, oh she was gonna have a blast with this. "Just what kind of plans do you have going on up there~? Anything I should prepare for snowball~?"
"U-U-Uh…w-well…" And just like that Lincoln found himself at a loss for words as his face heated up and he became puddy in Hekapoo's fingers as she continued to dance them around his body.
"Hehehe, well looks like you two are gonna be occupied for a bit~" Jackie chuckled as she put a hand to her hips and looked over the couple in front of her. It was always fun to see them get like this, and something told her there was gonna be a lot more of this kinda stuff in the future. "Come on Star, let's find a free spot for us. Lincoln, Hekapoo, try not to have too much fun~ We are in public~"
"No promises~" Hekapoo said as she kept her eyes locked on Lincoln.
Star let out a small giggle before pulling out her wand and magicing up a cart for her and Jackie. The two then loaded up their share of the stuff Lincoln brought with them into their new cart before going on their way. "See ya guys later!" Star waved to them with Jackie walking by her side. "We'll meet up back here at the end of the day!"
"Sounds good!" Hekapoo called out to them. And just like that her and Lincoln were all alone together, no one else to focus on but each other and Hekapoo absolutely loved that. "Alright snowball, the sooner we set up our spot the sooner we can start having some fun together~"
"Y-Yeah, s-sounds good." Lincoln gave Hekapoo a nervous smile that the scissor maker just ate up as they walked out to the beach with the cart in hand, thankfully a lot lighter now since Star and Jackie took some of the stuff inside. Thankfully it didn't take them long to find a spot that was completely free, for some reason there didn't seem to be many people at the beach today but hey that just meant more free space, so they weren't gonna question it. So after a few minutes Lincoln and Hekapoo were able to set up their stuff with a large beach towel to sit on, an umbrella to provide them both with shade and a cooler fill with drinks. "Alright! All done, so…what do you wanna do first?"
"Well I think that should be obvious," Hekapoo's smirk and tone made Lincoln both rather nervous and kind of excited…as she pulled out a bottle of sunscreen. "I don't need it since I'm magic, but I know you humans can get sun burnt rather easily so why don't you lay down and let me help you with that~?"
Lincoln found his mind briefly shutting down as Hekapoo suggested that idea to him. Hekapoo…rubbing sunscreen over him? He must have died and went to heaven. "A-A-Are you s-sure?" Lincoln stuttered as the image quickly entered his head and refused to leave. "I-I-I can d-do it myself if you w-want?"
"Aaaaawww, how considerate. But where's the fun in that~?" Hekapoo didn't seem like she was gonna be taking no for an answer as she opened the bottle and poured some sunscreen onto her hand and got ready to apply it to her boyfriend. "Now go on, lay down~"
"Y-Yeah sure thing…" Lincoln didn't put up any arguments at all as he laid down on his stomach and left his back perfectly exposed for his girlfriend to work on. "Just please be gentle,"
"Don't worry I will, I know how you like doing things~" Hekapoo rubbed the sunscreen into her hands. "Just let me take care of everything cutie~" Hekapoo eagerly got started and gently placed her hands on Lincoln's back. He shivered a bit at first as the cold sunscreen came into contact with his skin, but once he got used to it Hekapoo started to rub it into his skin, keeping to her word and making sure to be nice and gentle as she applied the sunblock. "How's that feel~?"
"Mmmmm, it feels good…" Lincoln soon felt himself relaxing into her touch as she continued to coat his body, it felt more like he was getting a massage rather than just getting sunblock applied to his skin. "You have really nice hands Hekapoo."
"Why thank you," Hekapoo couldn't help but stick her chest out in pride. She's had plenty of experience with working with her hands so she was quite proud of them, even better if she could use them to make her boyfriend feel good. "Just tell me if I'm going too hard ok?"
"I will, but you're doing just fine right now," Lincoln let out with a completely relaxed smile. While he didn't need to apply sunscreen to Hekapoo, probably due to her being magic and all that, he was gonna make sure he found a way to make it up to her. "Oh yeah…keep going…"
"As you wish~" And so Hekapoo kept up her good work and continued working on Lincoln's back. Eventually she finished up on his back and went to work on his neck which she made especially sure to be nice and gentle with, and applied the sunscreen with just the tips of her fingers. "Alright turn around, time for your chest~"
"O-Oh, a-alright." Lincoln was a little embarrassed about this. His back was fine, but he was a bit insecure about his chest, he would have worn a swim shirt but those were always a little uncomfortable for him. "Just…don't judge ok? I know I'm kinda scrawny."
But as Lincoln turned to lay on his back, Hekapoo got a good look at things and was quick to reassure him. "I wouldn't say that, looks like you've really toughened up lately." Hekapoo complimented him as she put more sunscreen on her hands. "Not super buff or anything but I wouldn't call ya scrawny."
"Really?" Lincoln was pleasantly surprised to hear that. Most of his life he's used to other people calling him scrawny and/or skinny, especially Lynn. And while he was sure he toughened up since meeting Star and began fighting monsters and such, he thought it was mainly because of magic and nothing actually physical. "Wow…thanks."
"Anytime snowball," Hekapoo ruffled her boyfriend's hair with an amused tone. "Now just keep relaxing." Lincoln didn't put up any fight at all as Hekapoo began to rub sunscreen/massage his chest. Once again Lincoln found himself sinking into her touch and let out relaxed sighs and moans as she worked her magic hands. Eventually she moved to his shoulders and then his arms and after a few minutes Lincoln was good to go. "All done, how'd you like it~?"
"Oh man that felt great," Lincoln let out with a grin as he sat up and stretched himself out a bit. "Thanks a bunch Pookie,"
"…Yep, really starting to regret allowing you to say that," Hekapoo sighed out as Lincoln simply gave her an amused look. She put sunblock on him, and this is how he repays her? Oh, she was getting him back later for this. "So, we good to hit the water?"
"Just gotta wait 15 minutes for the sunscreen to dry," Lincoln told her as he simply got comfy on their towel. "Otherwise it'll just come off."
"Ah ok, well hey gives us 15 minutes to cuddle together~" Before Lincoln could respond to that Hekapoo made herself comfy right on Lincoln's lap. She adjusted herself in his lap a little bit before leaning against his chest and wrapping an arm around him and using her other to grab her compact phone and hold it out. "Smile!"
Lincoln did so as soon as she saw it allowing Hekapoo to take a selfie of the two of them. Once it was taken Hekapoo was quick to post it on her social media account and adding the text "Having a fun beach day. You nerds jealous?" to it. "There we go, just thought I'd give the others a taste of what they're missing."
"Hehe, you like showing off to everyone?" Lincoln asked with a small smirk as Hekapoo put her phone away.
"Sure do," Hekapoo had no shame at all in admitting this before patting Lincoln's head. "As my boyfriend I'm free to show you off whenever I want."
"So what am I trophy or something?" Lincoln asked with a small smirk on his face.
"No." Hekapoo leaned her head against his chest and patted her eye lashes at him. "Just that I'm really lucky to have you as my boyfriend~"
"Well I can say the same about you~" After saying that Lincoln leaned down to kiss Hekapoo right on the lips which she was more than happy to return. As they leaned into each other's lips Lincoln took out his phone and took his own selfie with his girlfriend. Once they separate Lincoln decided to post it on his own social media with the text "With my awesome new GF."
"Heh, whose showing off now~?" Hekapoo teased while giving Lincoln a boop on the nose. "We're gonna make so many people jealous~"
"I can already hear Rusty angrily yelling, hehe." Lincoln laughed as he already saw his post had a response and he was about 90% sure it was from Rusty. "No doubt he's gonna go on a little rant the next time we see him,"
"Eh, let him spew out some word vomit." Hekapoo waved it off, not really caring what the perverted ginger would have to say about this whole thing. "Let's just focus on the two of us right now."
"Sounds good." Lincoln then wrapped both his arms around his beautiful girlfriend and held her close, the two simply deciding to relax and enjoy each other's embrace for the next few minutes.
STAR AND JACKIE
"Hey," Jackie spoke up as the two continued to walk through the beach. They've been going through the beach for about 7 minutes now and while they did pass by plenty of spots they could have set up at, they wanted to get some fair distance between them and Lincoln and Hekapoo so those two could enjoy themselves completely without needing to worry about them. "It's ok if I hold your hand like this right?"
Since they were walking Jackie and Star's hands have been intertwined and really Jackie seemed to have forgot about it until she felt Star's fingers twitched and felt that she might have grown uncomfortable like this. "Y-Yeah, totally." But Star reassured Jackie by softly squeezing Jackie's hand. "It feels…nice."
"Good to hear," Jackie smiled and made sure to continue to be nice and gentle while holding the princess' hand as to not make her feel uncomfortable, and as she did this she got the chance to really get a feel for Stars hand. "Your hands are really soft you know."
This in turn caused Star's cheeks to glow brightly. "T-Thanks…" She wasn't quite used to having someone compliment her like that. Sure, she's been complimented plenty of times before, but this felt…different. It made her heart beat faster and her head a tiny bit fuzzy.
"Just let me know if I'm overstepping my boundaries." Jackie told Star with a calm and friendly tone, giving her an assuring hand squeeze as well. "I don't wanna do anything you're not comfortable with."
"I w-will," Star nodded as she turned to Jackie with a shy smile. Love really makes you do strange things, Star Butterfly was usually a big social butterfly, pun intended, and shy was hardly a word used to describe her. Heck last week she could be perfectly chill and comfortable around Jackie but now she was acting nervous and quiet. "But this feels…nice…"
"Yeah, it does. I like being close to you like this." Jackie looked Star right in the eye and, for a brief moment, both of their eyes seemed to sparkle. After looking away from each other with blushes on their faces they finally decided to stop and set things up where they were. "This looks like a nice stop, come on lets set up shop."
"Sounds good!" Star grinned and, rather reluctantly, removed her hand from Jackie's and the two worked together to set up their spot on the beach which was more or less the same as Lincoln and Hekapoo's spot with a large beach towel, umbrella, and their own cooler. "Alright now let's get some sunscreen on, this princess doesn't wanna become a lobster."
"Here ya go," Jackie reached into her bag and tossed Star a bottle of sunscreen that the Mewman quickly started applying to herself. "Hope I got the right kind for ya,"
"Don't worry I'm sure it'll be fine," Star reassured Jackie as she applied the sunscreen to her arms before rubbing it over her face and neck and behind her ears. But after that came the hard part…her back. Sure she was wearing a swimsuit that covered her back but it wasn't specifically meant to protect against the sun and, speaking from a past experience from when she was a kid, she didn't want to risk anything. But she always had trouble reaching that part of her so that left her with an option that made her a bit…nervous. "Hey…um…" Star awkwardly spoke up.
"Yeah?" Jackie asked as she applied her own sunscreen to herself. "What's up?"
"If it's ok could you…maybe…get my back?" Star nervously asked as she held the bottle of sunscreen to Jackie. "I always struggle reaching it…"
"Sure, no problem," Jackie instantly nodded and took the bottle handed to her. "You don't have to worry about asking me about that, I don't mind."
"I know, I know, sorry just…you know." Jackie understands what Star was referring too. So the princess sat down on the towel with Jackie getting on her knees behind the Mewman. "Just…be gentle please."
"Of course." Jackie gave Star a small smile as she applied some sunscreen to her hands. "Let me know if I'm being too rough okay?"
"I-I will…t-thank you." Star took a deep breath to relax herself and got ready for Jackie to do her thing.
"Alright I'm going in," Jackie told Star in a gentle tone as she reached into Star's swimsuit and as gently as she could pressed her sunscreen coated hands against Star back, Star briefly tensing up and shivering in response. "You good?"
"Y-Yeah…" Star stuttered as her cheeks brightened up even more. At this point she was surprised her cheek marks weren't glowing as well from how flustered she was getting. "You can keep going."
"You got it." And so, nice and slowly, Jackie started to coat Star's back with a layer of sunscreen. But as Jackie rubbed Star's back she couldn't help but notice something. Despite fighting dozens of monsters and learning how to fight since she was a kid and being quite the tough girl…Star's skin was incredibly soft. "Wow…"
"What?" Star looked back and saw Jackie looking at her back, almost mesmerized. "Something wrong?"
"No it's just…your skins really soft." Jackie told Star as she lightly squeezed Star's back and let her fingers sink into it. Star blushed even brighter and let out a small 'eep' in response as Jackie continued to feel her skin. "Dang girl what's your secret? It's feels almost plush." But right after Jackie said this Star briefly flashed purple causing Jackie to gasp and quickly remove her hands from the princess' back. "O-Oh I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable."
"I…I…it's ok I'm just…not used to those types of questions…" Star took deep breaths to try and keep herself under control. It's not that she disliked what Jackie said but like she said she just wasn't used to people saying that kind of stuff to her. Even when she was dating Tom he never asked stuff like that. "Just…really new to me."
"I was just trying to compliment you," Jackie looked down a little in guilt. She was supposed to help Star feel comfortable and have some fun and she ended up doing the opposite.
"I know, I know, just…took me off guard is all." Star reassured her as she leaned towards Jackie a bit. "You can keep going, it's ok."
"Okay, I'll try to dial it back a bit." Jackie nodded as she went back to work on Star's back, trying not to get a feel for the Mewmans skin despite how tempting it was.
"T-Thank you…I'd appreciate that." Star let out a small, relieved sigh and just leaned back into Jackie's hands. "And…to answer your question I use moisturizer every time I shower. I'll let you use it if you want, it's from Mewni. The royal stuff."
"I'd like that," Jackie smiled as the tension was eased and she continued to coat Star's back with sunblock. "Thanks a bunch Star." And so, the two were silent for the next few minutes as Jackie made sure to get every bit of Star's back and removed her hands as soon as she was done. "Alright you're all good to go,"
"Thanks Jackie, I really appreciate it." Star smiled a bit as she sat up and looked to Jackie and poked her fingers together as she asked. "Do you…n-need me to get…y-your back?"
"Oh, I appreciate the offer but I'm good. I was able to get that myself." Jackie explained to Star as she turned around to show that her back was already nice and covered with sunscreen. "My arms are pretty flexible, so I was able to get it on my own."
"Oh ok, cool, cool, just wanted to try and pay ya back you know," Star awkwardly explained as she kicked a bit of sand around. While that was one of the reasons the main one was that she wanted to get a feel of Jackie's back for herself to see how it was. "So how long do we gotta wait before we can get into the water."
"About 15 minutes then we're good to go," Jackie said before she pointed to the nearby snack shack. "In the meantime, we can get something to eat if you want."
As if on que Star's stomach let out a small growl causing her to hold her stomach and blush a bit in embarrassment. "Looks like my tum-tum's saying yes to that." Star said getting a giggle out of Jackie. "But wait don't you get cramps if you swim after you eat?"
"Oh that, nah that's just a myth," Jackie waved off Star's concern before she started walking towards the snack shack. Star simply shrugged and trusted Jackie's judgment and walked up to the stand with Jackie. There was a small line but luckily it only took a few minutes for them to reach the front of the shack with Jackie handing the man in front some cash. "One fried shrimp basket please."
"You got it," The man smiled as he took the money and called out her order to one of the cooks inside the shack.. After a few minutes the cashier presented Star and Jackie with a plastic bucket filled with freshly fried and delicious smelling shrimp to them. "Have a nice day ladies,"
"You two man," Jackie waved to the cashier before she and Star walked back to the stop and quickly started enjoying their food. "Mmmmm, man these are great! Probably have that Florida spice to them."
"I'll say! Mewni shrimp don't taste nearly this good, and they aren't trying to eat you back!" Star grinned as she gladly helped herself to more of the delectable earth food. As she ate her eyes came to Jackie and the princess got an idea in her head to pay Jackie back for both getting the food and getting her back. "Hey Jackie, I was thinking, I um…can I maybe...f-feed you some?"
Jackie blinked at Star a few times before smiling and nodding her head. "Aw, sure thing." Jackie went along with it and figured Star was trying to dip her feet into what she was comfortable with doing with her and would happily go along with it. Plus admittedly she was hoping Star would do this eventually. "I'd like that. Aaaaaaaah…" Jackie then opened her mouth and waited for Star to put a shrimp in it.
Star gulped a bit in nervousness but wasn't about to back down after offering. "O-Ok here I go…" Star muttered as she took a shrimp from the basket and moved it into Jackie's mouth with the skater girl happily eating it up. Star couldn't help but smile at the sight, knowing that Jackie was chewing on the shrimp she fed her just seemed so adorable to Star. "Can I keep feeding you please?"
"By all means." Jackie nodded at Star with a sweet smile and opened it up again allowing Star to feed her some more. After a few more shrimp Jackie grabbed one herself and held it up to Star. "Can I feed you this time?"
"O-Oh, yeah sure!" Star couldn't help but grin excitedly as she opened her mouth and allowed Jackie to take a turn in feeding Star and placing a shrimp in her mouth. "Mmmmmmm, so good!"
"Hehehe, alright girl just slow down." Jackie giggled as she continued feeding the cute little princess.
LINCOLN AND HEKAPOO
"Hmmmm-mmmmm-mmmmm…" Hekapoo hummed as she was looking over her phone with water dripping on her skin. She and Lincoln enjoyed their cuddle time and as soon as Lincoln's sunscreen had dried the two were quick to hit the water. The two simply had a blast swimming around together, had a splash fight, Hekapoo riding around on Lincoln's shoulders for a bit, until eventually Hekapoo got a little tired out and headed back to their spot to relax for a bit with Lincoln choosing to stay in the water for a little while longer.
But eventually Lincoln got tired too and soon returned to their spot as well. "I'm back," He called out to Hekapoo while taking deep breaths, wiping a mixture of salt water and sweat from his forehead. "Man the waves are really starting to pick up out there."
"Seems like it, looks like you just tried swimming a marathon," Hekapoo teased with an amused smile as Lincoln plopped down next to her. Just then an idea sparked in Hekapoo's head that she knew Lincoln would just love and set her phone down and got him to turn towards her. "And you must be so tired after that~ Here why don't you take a load off~" Before Lincoln could ask what Hekapoo meant by that, she patted her hand on her lap and Lincoln fully understood what she meant.
"O-Oh…" Lincoln stared right at Hekapoo's lap, as if it was waiting for him. "Are you s-sure?"
"Absolutely~ I sit on your lap all the time so this is only fair~" Hekapoo then gently grabbed Lincoln's head and pulled him down so he was laying down and his head comfortably laying right on her lap. "There ya go~ This lap pillow is all yours~"
"O-Ok then..." Lincoln stuttered as he made himself comfortable on his girlfriend's lap. Although…that was quickly done as he felt his head practically sinking into it and he instantly become relaxed. "Wow...they really are soft..."
"Damn right they are~" Hekapoo told him as she gently rubbed his head. She knew he'd love this and was determined to get him addicted to this kind of stuff. "And they're all yours now~" And soon Lincoln's breathing slowed as he began to close his eyes. "That's it~ Just relax~"
As Lincoln began to doze off, Hekapoo looked around to make sure they weren't being watched and no one was looking. Once she was sure the coast was clear she proceeded to clone herself, the second Hekapoo laid down in front of the original Hekapoo and stared at Lincoln lovingly. "Awwww, he's sounds asleep~" Hekapoo 2 cooed as she gently scratched Lincoln's cheek.
"Isn't he just adorable like this~?" Hekapoo giggled as she continued to stroke the sleeping Lincoln's hair. "Just snoozing without a care in the world~"
"I just want to smother him with kisses~" Hekapoo 2 said with the lick of her lips.
"Well hey, no ones stopping you~" Hekapoo told her clone as she gestured to the boy's face. "Go ahead~"
"Don't mind if I do~" And so without hesitation Hekapoo 2 started to barrage Lincoln's face with butterfly kisses. But Hekapoo couldn't just let her clone have all the fun and soon began to plant kisses over her boyfriends face as well, causing Lincoln to shift a bit in his sleep and smile. "Looks like he's enjoying it~"
"Then let's keep it up~" Hekapoo and her clone eagerly began to spoil the sleeping boy some more without a care in the world.
STAR AND JACKIE
"Mmmmmmmm! Oh these are so good!" Star was eagerly licking the frozen treat in her hand. Once the two finished off their basket of fried shrimp their sunscreen had finished drying and they were free to start swimming around in the water together. They even blew up a beach ball and started tossing it around together, they even got some other people around them to join in for a big game of catch. After that fun little game Jackie decided to show Star another sweet little earth treat to enjoy during the warmer weather, snow cones! "I was always told to not eat snow! But this is delicious!"
"Well snow cones are the one exception." Jackie answered as she took a lick of her own snow cone. She settled for blue raspberry while Star pretty much got every flavor in one cone. "I tell ya nothing beats a sweet chilly snow cone on a hot day like this, just makes you feel good and relaxed."
"Well I don't know about all that but they are super sweet~" Star let out a rather hyper active giggle as she continued to lick up her sweet and icy treat. Jackie simply smiled as she patted Star on the head a few times, a gesture that Star didn't seem to mind as she almost seemed to lean into her touch. The two simply sat down next to each other for the next few minutes and enjoyed their snow cones. Once they were finished they put their paper cones in their cooler so they could throw it away later with Star turning to Jackie and asking, "So what now?"
"Well, remember how I taught you how to skateboard?" Jackie asked as she stood up and went over to the wagon Star made for them. Star nodded her head and watched as Jackie reached into the wagon and took out two surfboards. "I was thinking…maybe I could teach you how to surf too, ever done that before?"
"Well I tried a few times but I kinda struggled to get the hang of it," Star scratched her head as she remembered her past experiences on a surfboard. Tom offered to teach her once at his parent's beach house in the underworld but they kinda broke up before that could happen. "But I'd love for you to show me! Just…let's try and not have this turn out like the skateboarding incident ok?"
"Hehehe, I'll try my best." Jackie giggled a bit as she handed Star one of the surfboards before gesturing to the ocean in front of them. "Come on, let's hit the waves."
Star followed Jackie's lead as the skater girl dropped her surfboard onto the water and started swimming forward towards the open water, the princess doing the same and making sure to copy what Jackie was doing so she could hopefully get the handle on things.
Cue: Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride
"The whole point of surfing is to ride along with the waves, don't fight against them." Jackie explained to Star as the two kept paddling further out into the water to make sure they would get the best surfing experience. The best waves were always farther out. "When you get on the board just move with the waves and let them take you for a ride."
"So when do we get on the board?" Star asked as she took in Jackie's words. She then looked forward and the princess' eyes widened as she saw a huge wave heading their way. "Woah…"
"Right now." Jackie grinned as the wave quickly reached the two of them with Jackie quickly standing on top of her board as the wave came in. "WHOOOOOO!" Jackie cheered she instantly started riding the wave with a giant smile on her face. The wind blowing her hair back and drops of water hitting her skin, they made her feel alive and one with the water.
"W-W-W-Woah!" Unfortunately Star wasn't as successful when it came to getting on her board and ended up slipping off it as she tried to stand on it. "MMMMMMM!" Star let out with puffed up cheeks, forcing herself to hold her breath as the wave swept both her and her surfboard away.
"Whoops," Jackie commented with an amused smirk as she watched her date get swept away. The girl was more than tough enough to take it, and honestly it was kind of nostalgic. Reminded Jackie of when that happened to her when she was learning to surf.
"…" Star had an unamused smile as she washed up on the shore, her surfboard washing up next to her. Star then spit out a small stream of sea water from her mouth before sticking her tongue out. "Bleh salty…"
"Ocean water tends to taste like that." Jackie told Star as she soon reached the shore while still riding her surfboard. "Let's try that again."
Once more Star and Jackie paddled out to the ocean with their surfboards and watched as another wave of water came up to them. "You just gotta keep your balance, don't rush into it." Jackie explained to Star as she hopped onto her surfboard again. "It's like putting on a pair of shoes, you don't think when you do it. You just do it!"
"Just do it…" Star repeated Jackie's words in a whisper as she saw the upcoming wave. Just like Jackie told her Star got out of the water and slide right onto her board, letting the motions come naturally to her, and just like that she was standing right on top of her board. "I-I did it! Woohoo! I did it!"
"Way to go Star!" Jackie cheered for the princess as she kept her eyes forward. "But stay focused on the wave!"
"Huh?" Star was quickly brought out of her little victory as she looked forward and saw the large wave coming up to her. "Ah crapbaskets…" Star flinched as the wave hit both her and Jackie with the latter quickly riding on it like before, but with Star despite now actually being on her board this time she struggled to ride on the board. "AH!" Star let out as she lost balance right as she started to ride the wave, falling into the water once more.
And once again Star found herself washing up to shore and spiting up salt water. "You tried fighting the wave didn't you?" Jackie immediately asked as she came to Star and helped the girl to her feet. "I told you, you just gotta ride the wave and let it take you around. Fighting it just means your gonna wipe out."
"Sorry, sorry, just a force of habit," Star said as she wringed her hair out a bit before picking up her board again.
About 5 waves later Star once again and found herself confronting another wave, and this one looked to be the biggest yet. "Oh boy, this one looks pretty gnarly." Jackie grinned in excitement as she and Star hopped on their boards again and looked at the incoming wave with anticipation. "You ready for this Star."
"Oh you better believe I am." Star grinned with complete confidence as the wave came closer and closer. She may have wiped out more than a few times so far, but she was getting better after each try. And with a wave this big no way was she gonna mess it up. "Kowabunga!"
Just like that the two girls began to ride the large wave together. Unlike before Star was able to handle herself on the board. Just like with Jackie Star was able to feel the wind blowing on her face and blowing her hair back, the drops of water hitting her skin, and just the feeling of being one with the water. It was completely exhilarating. "Whooooooo!" Jackie cheered as she came up from behind Star. "You're doing it! Way to go girl!"
"This feels amazing!" Star laughed and smiled brighter than she ever had before. Right here, on the water under the shining sun with Jackie by her side smiling brighter than the sun…Star's never felt freer in her entire life. "I feel like I'm on top of the world!"
"I knew you'd like it!" Jackie cheered as the two rode the wave further and further together side by side.

LINCOLN AND HEKAPOO
Needless to say…Lincoln was in for quite the surprise when he woke up. He was expecting one Hekapoo to be doting over him in his sleep…but not two of them. And even when he woke up Hekapoo decided to keep her clone around so the both of them could continue to spend time with Lincoln on their date and shower him with shameless affection all the while leaving him a flustered mess.
"A-A-Aren't you w-worried a l-l-little bit?" Lincoln heavily stuttered with his face a beat red. Not helped at all by the fact that the two Hekapoo's were making Lincoln carry them around. He held one in each arm with both Hekapoo's wrapping their arms around his neck and making sure they were nice and close to their red-faced boyfriend. "W-W-What if p-people ask w-why th-there's two of you?"
"Oh that's easy snowball, we'll just tell them we're twins~" Hekapoo answered with a flirty smirk as she scratched Lincoln's chin. She really just couldn't help herself, she just loved showering him with affection like this and with her clone she could do it twice as much. "That's perfectly believable~"
"And if they ask why we're both getting nice and close to you we can just say we're both dating you~" Hekapoo two added, practically making steam shoot out of Lincoln's ears. And it only got worse when Hekapoo two leaned up to his ear and whispered right into it. "And with an irresistible catch like you who could blame us~?"
'…God I have no idea what I did to deserve this but thank you!' Lincoln thought with absolute joy as both Hekapoo's gave him a big kiss to both of his cheeks. He's gotta be one of the luckiest guys in the multiverse right now. "W-Well as long as you l-ladies are e-enjoying yourselves."
"Aw, you're always so considerate~" Hekapoo gushed as she petted Lincoln's hair, running her fingers through it. "Mmmmm, wonder if I should make another clone~"
Lincoln seemed to tense up for a moment at the thought of that. "I don't think this stud's heart can take another girl~" Hekapoo two gave her boyfriend another kiss to the cheek, feeling just how hot his face was right now. "Let him get used to this first and then we'll try out more clones~"
"Fair enough. Trust us snowball you're gonna love it~" Hekapoo told Lincoln while continuing to pet his hair. She could feel how much her and her friend's words were getting to him and they were just eating it up. "Maybe you'll skip triplets and go straight to quadruplets~"
"U-U-U-U-Uh…" Lincoln's brain nearly shut down as soon as those words left Hekapoo's mouth. Four Hekapoo's doting all over him…if he wasn't carrying the two Hekapoo's he would have checked his nose to make sure he didn't end up pulling a Clyde.
"Oooooooo~ I think he likes that idea~" Hekapoo 2 giggled as they both watched Lincoln's reactions. "But let's save that for his birthday, make it a gift he'll remember forever~"
"Alright I think that's enough of that!" Before the two ladies in his arms could put more images like that into his head he was quick to cut them off and look around the area. "Where am I going anyway? You never told me where you wanted to go."
"Oh we never asked you to go anywhere," Hekapoo answered with an amused smirk as Lincoln quickly deadpanned at her. So he was pretty much walking around aimlessly while carrying them around then. "We just like having a nice strong man carrying us around, that's all~?"
"Strong huh?" Now it was Lincoln's turn to give them a small smirk of his own. "As much as I appreciate the compliment I know you two are just using your magic to make yourselves lighter."
"Oh don't be like that~" Hekapoo 2 gave Lincoln a little boop on the nose. "I bet it feels really good to carry 2 sexy girls in each arm~"
"…Well…" Lincoln couldn't find it in himself to deny it even a little.
"You know you can't lie to us~" Hekapoo told him as both she and her clone kissed him on the cheek again. "But if you're that eager to take us somewhere I see an ice cream stand up ahead, wouldn't mind getting myself a cone."
"Y-Yes ma'am~" With zero hesitation, Lincoln took the two Hekapoo's to the stand to get a nice frosty ice cream cone.
STAR AND JACKIE
"Hey? What's going on over there?" After their little surfing session, Star and Jackie decided to spend some time doing one of Jackie's absolute favorite things at the beach. Collecting seashells at the seashore. So, the two got some plastic pals and started to collect various types of shells as they walked around the beach but as they did suddenly the sound of loud music hit their ears.
"Think it's coming from over there," Jackie answered as she pointed in the direction of the music. Looking forward the two of them saw a whole bunch of other teenagers all gathered up together and dancing around to the music, drinking cans of soda, and eating party snacks. "Sweet, looks like a beach party. Let's go check it out."
"Woohoo! Party time baby!" Honestly it's been a while since Star's enjoyed a real party. She hasn't really been to the bounce lounge lately since she's been busy with other things and an earth style beach party sounds like just the thing she needs right now! "Hope they don't mind us crashing~ Hehehe~"
"Hi!" Suddenly the two heard a new voice speak up along with the flapping of wings. Before either girl could react suddenly a white bird with yellow highlights on its wing feathers and a black beak landed on Star's shoulders. "What's up?!"
"Wooooooah, talking earth bird." Star whispered in a mesmerized tone as she looked at the strange bird on her shoulder. "What is this beautiful creature?"
"Aw, that looks like a cockatoo," Jackie smiled as she reached out a single finger to pet the bird's forehead. The cockatoo seemed to appreciate this as it leaned into Jackie's touch. "Hey there little guy,"
"I love this!" The bird said in response.
"Awwwww!" The girls couldn't help but gush at the white-feathered bird.
"Yo Percy, where'd you fly to bro?" Looking forward at the other new voice speaking up, Star and Jackie saw two boys that looked to be about a year or two older than them running up to the two girls. The boy on the left was the skinny lanky type with messy blond hair with pale skin wearing a straw hat on his head along with a black swim shirt and blue trunks. The boy on the right was a little bit shorter than the boy on the left but seemed to have more meat on his bones and had neatly done black hair, tan skin, and had a simple pair of black swim trunks. "Ah there you are, don't fly away like that Percy, you had me worried."
"Oh is this your bird?" Star asked as the cockatoo, now known as Percy, flew off her shoulder and onto the shoulder of the skinny lanky man. "Sorry about that, he kinda just flew up to me,"
"Oh don't worry bout it, it's all good sister," The lanky man reassured the princess as he started scratching under Percy's chin. "Percy here always like meeting new people, don't ya bud."
"I do! I do!" Percy responded to the chin scratches.
"Don't think I've seen you two round this beach before," The shorter man said as he looked over Star and Jackie before pointing a thumb towards himself and the lanky man. "Names Travis, this here's my brother from another mother Craig. You two new here?"
"You could say that." Jackie answered as she took Star's hand into her own. "I'm Jackie and this is Star. We're just here on a little date is all."
"Y-Yeah," Star nodded as she gave Jackie's hand a light squeeze. "We are."
Star had no shame in admitting it, but she was a little concerned about how the two boys in front of her would react. But to her pleasant surprise they simply nodded in response. "Ah that's cool, perfect day for it," Travis said in a cool tone as he looked up at the sky for a few seconds before glancing at the nearby party. "So hey, the two of us are throwing a sweet beach party over there. Why don't you join in on the fun?"
"Sure that's ok?" Jackie asked with a head tilt. While she was perfectly on board with Star's plan to crash on things, now that the ones throwing the party knew they were coming she would feel guilty if they just barraged in. "Didn't get any invites or anything."
"Pfft, invites? This is a beach party Jackie, not one of them fancy up tight restaurants." Travis explained as Percy nodded his head in agreement. "Besides, Percy here likes ya. Far as I'm concerned there ain't no better invite than that."
"Yeah! Yeah!" Percy bounced up and down on Travis' shoulder while looking at the girls.
"…Well hey, far be it from me to argue with a cute little bird!" Star grinned as she rose up her and Jackie's arms into the air. "We're in! Let's par-tay!"
"Yeah! That's what I'm talking about!" Travis and Craig cheered in unison, Percy rising up his wings as well.
The five of them then headed back up to the party to join all the others that were getting down and just enjoying a nice sunny day at the beach. The music was blaring, the drinks were cold, and the food was absolutely delicious. Star and Jackie just decided to go wild and dance around like no one was watching. "Whooooo! That's it Jackie!" Star cheered on her date as she danced around like she was in the bounce longue. "Get down with your bad self!"
"You got it B-Fly!" Jackie laughed as she continued to dance wilder than she ever has before.
Just then the sound of feedback was heard as everyone turned towards Travis and Clyde who were both holding microphones in their hands. "Hey y'all! Whose having a fun time tonight?" Travis asked with the entire party in front of him cheering in response. "That's what I like to hear! Now how about we crank things up to the next level?!"
"Yo! Yo! Yo! Yo! Everyone put their hands together!" Craig shouted as Percy flew off Travis' shoulder and started circling around the party. "And clap them as loud as you can! Clap em, clap em, I don't care if you slap em!"
"A-A-A-Ah! A-A-A-Ah!" Percy let out as he flew around.
"Party in the Key West baby." Travis began as new music started to play with many people picking up instruments to go along with it.

As the two started singing together, everyone in the party began dancing but in a much different way. While before everyone was dancing wildly, now they were getting into some real rhythm with the music. Star and Jackie stopped to briefly look at each other before they smiled and started dancing along with the music together.
Travis:

"W-Woah!" Jackie let out as Star suddenly did something rather unexpected. The princess grabbed her hands and started to dance with her with a big smile on her face. And Jackie was loving it. "Where'd all this come from!"
"I don't know!" Star answered back as she held onto Jackie's hands tightly. "It's like my body's moving on its own and I don't wanna stop!"
Craig:

Time almost seemed to slow down for Jackie as she stared at the princess as she spun around. She sang with the voice of an angel, and she just looked so…happy.

Once Star was done she found herself back in the hands of Jackie who was giving the princess an absolutely mesmerized look. "Wow…" Was all Jackie was able to let out as Star smiled and blushed.
LINCOLN AND HEKAPOO
The sun was beginning to set on the beach, bathing the sky in a beautiful bath of oranges and reds with the setting sun making the water shine and sparkle. "Alright, I think that's it," Lincoln smiled as he finished packing up the stuff from his and Hekapoo's spot into his cart. "You got everything else Hekapoo?"
"Yep, we're good to go." Hekapoo gave Lincoln a thumbs up after putting the cooler in the cart. After getting ice cream Hekapoo decided that fun time with the clone was over and just enjoyed the rest of her time with Lincoln one on one. "Hey Linc…I…I had a lot of fun today."
"Hehe, yeah me too." Lincoln smiled back as he thought back to what he and Hekapoo did today. Needless to say…it involved a lot of blushing. But still, Lincoln wouldn't change a single thing. This date was just…amazing. "It was a real blast, even if you attempted to third wheel me~"
"Hehehe, oh shush you, you know you loved it," Hekapoo and Lincoln shared a good laugh together before red dusted her face. While she certainly had fun with Lincoln, and she knew he really enjoyed the time they spent today as well, Hekapoo still felt she had to say this to Lincoln. Just so he knew it going forward into their relationship. "And hey Lincoln, one thing you should know about me by now is I have zero shame when it comes to flirting. So I'm gonna smother you with lots of attention from now on. I hope that's okay."
"Oh really? Haven't noticed." Lincoln couldn't help but take the chance to tease Hekapoo back a little, making her cross her arms and pout cutely at him. "But really it's fine, I don't mind at all. Honestly it was really nice."
"Oh really now~" As soon as those words left Lincoln's mouth a mischievous smile came to Hekapoo's face as she walked up to Lincoln and started drawing across his chest with her finger. "You like getting that kind of attention~?"
And just like that Lincoln was back to blushing up a storm. "Y-Yeah I-I guess I d-do, heheh." Lincoln stuttered heavily as Hekapoo leaned closer to him. "Suppose I-I just e-enjoy that k-kinda stuff."
"So finally admitting it~?" Hekapoo was waiting all day for this little confession from him. "Hehehehe~ You love being smothered by a sexy girl~?"
"Yes I admit it…" Lincoln decided there wasn't any point in trying to hide it and just admitted it to Hekapoo. "I do really enjoy it. It feels r-really good."
"Good~" Hekapoo then pulled him down to give her cute boyfriend a kiss on the lips that he gladly accepted. Once they separated Hekapoo leaned close to his ear and whispered. "Because I'm not done yet~"
"R-R-Really?" Lincoln gulped a bit in both nervousness and excitement. "W-What do y-you mean?"
"You'll see~ But for now…" Hekapoo then caught Lincoln completely off guard…as she wrapped him up into a tender hug and rested her head on his chest with a tender smile on her face. "Just, thank you. For giving this a chance."
"Of course." Lincoln didn't hesitate at all to hug back and hold his girlfriend close to him. "Same to you…I love you Hekapoo." Right after Lincoln said those words Hekapoo let out a cute squeak and her face turned a deep red color. And Lincoln was quick to take notice of that. "Aw, you're cute when your face is all red~"
"S-Shut up!" Hekapoo quickly shoved Lincoln away and turned her head away from the white head. "You don't really say that kind of stuff on the first date!"
"But I wanted to~" After seeing how that made her, Lincoln knew this was the perfect time to get some payback on her.
"Damn you…" Hekapoo muttered as her face went even redder.
"Hehehe, you know you love it." Lincoln told her as he ruffled her hair a bit.
"Hmph!" Hekapoo quickly swatted Lincoln's hands away.
"Come on, Pookie~" Once again Lincoln brought out his new nickname for her.
"Ugh why did I say it was ok for you to use that nickname…" Hekapoo groaned out as the flame that was usually above her head reappeared and formed a heart, making it unable for her to hide her feelings.
"Because you like it~" Lincoln chuckled a bit, getting a small growl out of Hekapoo. "Just admit it already~" He placed his hands onto her cheeks and lifted her head, so they're both staring into each other's eyes. "Do you love me~?"
"...I've lived for thousands of years. I've met a lot of guys. But... none of them... made me feel what I'm feeling right now..." Hekapoo fully admitted to Lincoln as she stared deep into his green eyes. "You...Lincoln Loud...did something no one has ever done. You stole my heart...and that makes me so happy..."
Hekapoo then leaned closer to him with a small tear escaping her eye. "So yes…I do love you."
Neither said anything else as they simply kissed each other again while bathing in the light of the sunset.
STAR AND JACKIE
"…" After the party Star and Jackie just went back to their spot to spend the rest of the day together. Both were silent as they watched the setting sun over the horizon, their hands interlocked with each other as they felt the wind gently hit their faces.
"How was today?" Jackie asked without turning to Star, simply smiling and squeezing the princess' hand. "Did you enjoy yourself?"
"Yeah, I really did. Thanks a lot for this. It was really nice." Star answered with her own smile, but that would soon fall as she frowned and looked down. "But…"
"But what?" Jackie inquired as she leaned closer to Star to comfort the girl. "What's up."
"…I really want this. With you. I do." Star explained as she held onto Jackie's hand tighter but making sure not to hurt her date. "But…all my life I thought I liked boys and for all of it I was told that girls were supposed to only be romantically involved with boys. So even if I want it…how do I know if it'll be right?"
"…" Jackie was silent at first as she processed Star's question. She understood what she was going through, Jackie was also figuring that out for herself a bit. Maybe not to the same extent as Star but this was still a new part of herself she was figuring out. And Jackie had an idea of how they could both figure it out together. "…Kiss me."
"W-What?!" Star shouted as her voice became one of shock. After she unloaded all that on Jackie she just suggested that the two of them kiss!?
"I'm serious." Jackie looked right into Star's eyes as she said this. "Kiss me. And tell me if what you're feeling is wrong."
"I-I don't-" Before Star voiced her worries Jackie quickly reassured her.
"If it's wrong then we never have to speak of it again." Jackie told her while putting her other hand on top of Star's. "And we can just keep being friends."
"...And what if it...feels right?" Star asked in a low tone. Moving on from it feeling wrong seemed easy enough, but if it felt right…
"Then we'll see what happens." Jackie gently told her as she moved her hand from Star's hand onto her cheek. Being as gentle as she possibly could, Jackie pulled Star closer to her until the two girl's lips connected with each other.
Star's eyes widened as her cheek marks began to glow brightly as soon as Jackie kissed her. The Mewman felt like her heart was beating millions of times per second and time seemed to stop and everything else in the world vanished and there was just the two of them kissimg one another. But soon, without even realizing it, Star found herself relaxing into the kiss.
But just as soon as it began, Jackie pulled away. The skaters' own cheeks were burning red and despite the kiss not lasting long both girls found themselves heavily breathing. "….So…." Jackie said in between her breaths. "….How….was it?"
"…...I'm...not sure..." Star answered as she refused to let go of the skater girls' hands. "Maybe…if we tried again?"
"Okay…" Jackie then leaned forward once more and kissed Star again, the princess leaning into it a lot quicker now as her cheek marks once again started glowing.
And they parted once more. "One more...please…" Star asked with Jackie quickly granting her request and kissed Star again. "Mmmmmmmm…" Star let out as she instantly leaned into the kiss this time, her cheek marks glowing even brighter than the previous times.
And they parted again. "So...how does it feel?" Jackie asked with a sweet tone, keeping her hand on Star's cheek. "Or do you need another~?"
"...One more couldn't hurt right?" Star asked with a shy smile.
"No, it can't." And once again Jackie and Star leaned into kiss each other once again. But with this kiss something special happened. Star's cheek marks glowed once more…but so did Jackie's. As they kissed the seashell cheek marks that would appear on Jackie whenever she used Star's wand appeared on her, glowing as brightly as Star's did.
Star opened her eyes as she felt the glow hit her eyes and they widened in surprise as she saw them appear on Jackie. "J-Jackie…" Star said as they separated from each other once more. Jackie's cheek marks stopped glowing…but they didn't disappear. "Your cheeks they-"
"I know." Jackie told Star with a loving smile. "But let's not let that stop us."
"…Ok." Star nodded and once again the two of them leaning into each other to kiss once more.
Nothing ever felt more right to them.
And there you have it folks~
Both ships are sailing and they ain't slowing down~
Like I said this was just a tone of fun to write, I'm am an absolute sucker for romantic fluff and I was pretty much able to go all out here. Also this chapter showed the parallels between Starkie and Lincapoo. Starkie is that couple that's moving a lot more slowly, they're still figuring things out and are testing out what the other is and isn't ok with. Meanwhile Lincapoo is that couple that just instantly clicks with one another and they are completely and shamelessly affectionate with one another at almost all times.
Also once again thanks to Petrus for his idea on the Starkie kissing scene, he got that from the anime Toradora in case it seemed familiar to anyone.
So I hoped you all enjoyed the chapter as much as I did and expect more moments from both couples in the future.
