How to Impress Charlie Swan

Chapter 1

You know that feeling you get right before you hurl?

It's like you're riding on a roller coaster at a breakneck speed—immediately after you ate four chili cheese burritos and downed two Rockstars.

Your head pounds, your palms sweat, and your stomach repeatedly attempts to do the nasty with your throat.

Yeah, that feeling.

Well, that's sorta what I experienced when my girlfriend said, "E, I want you to meet my dad."

No cap.

I deadass knew it was coming. I mean, Bella and I ain't just messin' around.

We've dated exclusively for over six months.

I love the girl.

She's my honey.

My queen.

My whole fucking world.

She's already met my fam, so I accept meeting her pops is a given.

But let's get real. I'm freaking the fuck out.

And by now, you're probably wondering why.

Why am I trippin'?

Why is Edward Cullen being so fucking soft about meeting his girlfriend's father?

Well, let me tell you.

Bella's dad is the goddamn chief of police of his town. The man owns not one gun but multiple weapons.

And we won't even discuss the amount of ammo this dude has.

Come on, people; it's straight facts that he's not looking to like me. I mean, he has to know I'm violating his daughter every opportunity I get.

And that makes me public enemy number one in Charlie Swan's book.

Amirite, or amirite?

Oof.

Boof.

I don't stand a chance.

AN:

Warning - Long AN ahead.

Hi! Welcome to my new story. This one has been in the works for a couple of years. As soon as I saw the pic of Rob wearing the yellow tank top and green pants, I was hit with the inspiration for this tale.

The story is in a drabble(ish) format. So far, chapter one is the shortest. Most chapters will be around 500 words long.

I hope to post a new chapter each day until it is finished.

And, finally, thank you to all the following people who have helped:

KJ - who offered input and advice when I was starting the fic.

Cheryl - who stepped in to help with editing.

Kay - who has helped me tremendously with terminology. LOL

K, Steph, Pamela, and Gail for pre-reading.
