Chapter 20- A Mischievous Approach
"You know I still don't understand why you hang out with the mudblood," Draco commented, during breakfast that Thursday morning.
"I don't 'hang out with her'... She is simply useful for me, right now," Harrison responded.
"Useful, how?"
"She wants to get Ella out of Azkaban. Who am I to deny her that… You and I both know that Ella should not be in Azkaban."
"I still don't see what she is doing."
"Simple: she sends letters of appeals to the magical law, and hopefully visits them in person with hopefully, your father is directly supporting to get her out."
"Still a mudblood."
"She is. An annoying one at that," he added.
Draco turned his attention back to his breakfast, while Harrison grabbed two pieces of toast on the silver platter in front of him and put it on his plate. He buttered up the two pieces of toast and nibbled on them, paying no mind to the conversations that were happening around him.
It was then when he was about to take a sip out of his pumpkin juice, that he saw a flash of a bright bubblegum pink color out of the corner of his eye, that he had to stop what he was doing and take a look. Sure enough, Draco's hair that was normally a pale blonde was now the shade of bubblegum pink.
Pansy was the first one to react about the hair change as she pointed a finger at his fair and said in a somewhat loud voice,
"Your hair!"
"What about my hair?" Draco asked concernedly. He pulled at his locks hoping to see what Pansy was talking but didn't find anything.
It was by then the great hall had finally noticed what was going on. The Great Hall fell silent as the various conversations ended, leaving silence in the air until other people started shrieking as they saw that their hair was no longer their hair color, but simply a shade of bubblegum pink hair. Harrison noticed that various houses were the victim of the prank, and he also noticed that the boy-who-lived and the bloodtraitor was also a victim of Fred and George's shenanigans. Fred and George couldn't contain their smiles as he quickly met eyes with the two, and internally smirked.
Harrison returned his attention to Draco who took the big spoon someone had offered and looked at his reflection through the shiny object. He shrieked, and shouted,
"Whoever did this, I demand you fix my hair this instant!"
Fred and George started laughing, looking at the shocked faces of everyone looking at them as they got up from their spots and headed out of the Great Hall, giggles following them. When they got to the grand set of doors, they looked back over their shoulders and proclaimed,
"Don't worry, your hair will be back to normal in about a week's time!"
The grand set of doors closed behind them as Harrison paid attention to the blonde who looked particularly unhappy about the whole ordeal,
"I should have known that this screamed the blasted twins' names on it," Draco grumbled.
"Don't worry, it'll wear off eventually," Pansy added.
"Wait till my father hears about this," Draco continued.
"I'm going to be right back," Harrison said, taking an apple with him as he headed out of the great hall, and followed Fred and George.
Luckily for him, they didn't get too far as Harrison quickly caught up to them.
"Wait up!" Harrison called out.
The twins stopped where they were at, on the top stair as they looked behind them. Grins enshrouded their faces as Harrison approached them, with a small grin on his face.
"That was really impressive, you two… Honestly the look on Draco's face was priceless," Harrison complimented them.
"Thanks, Harrison…" Both of the twins said together in unison. "Now, what does the little snake want done?"
"Can you get Dumbledore out of the castle tonight?"
"Of course…" Fred started.
"We'll send an owl right after…"
"Supper!"
"Thank you gentleman, and I will get the boy-who-lived to join in on the fun."
"How are you going to do that?" Fred inquired.
"Pray that he has no critical thinking skills whatsoever," Harrison told them. "As it's going to come down right to that."
…
After talking to Fred and George about the whole idea with Saeviour, Harrison went ahead and approached him, right after Herbology. Draco sent him a curious look as Harrison didn't bother exiting out of the greenhouse and into the chill, damp air that belonged to the outside. He took his stuff and headed to the boy-who-lived and the bloodtraitor, with a very saddened look on his face.
"What do you want, Death Eater?" Ronald snarled, "Come to hex us with one of your dark curses?"
"No," He said. "I came to apologize."
Saeviour rose his eyebrows at the sudden mention of the "apology" he was offering. Before Saeviour had a chance to respond, the bloodtraitor decided to speak his mind.
"Careful, Saeviour… You wouldn't want to trust a slimy snake who nearly threatened to kill you multiple times. I wouldn't trust anything that comes out of his mouth."
As much as Harrison didn't want to admit it, the bloodtraitor was right. They shouldn't trust anything that would come out of his mouth, in particular with anything that had to deal with the words an apology or I'm sorry. If Saeviour was intelligent, he'd be suspicious of the way he was acting, but right now. He was hoping that Saeviour didn't have enough intelligence or any critical-thinking skills whatsoever.
"Ron, let me hear what he has to say," Saeviour commented, patting the bloodtraitor's arm in sympathy. He turned his attention and said, "Why do you want to apologize now? Have you finally realized that you tore the family apart and that the Death Eaters don't want you either."
Harrison's left eye twitched as he let Saeviour ramble on about what he had done, but that was the one thing he was grateful the boy-who-lived had never realized. He didn't realize the fact that Harrison had actually found the one place who cared for him, and nourished him. He wasn't going to say it out loud, instead he lied and appeased what the boy-who-lived really wanted to hear.
"I realized that I was a selfish jerk who had always been jealous of you. I was just tired of living in the shadow, in your shadow. I wanted to be seen so I always acted out and that cost me the entire Potter family and ruined so many relationships. I realized the error of my ways and I know it's too late for me to fix, but I would like to make it up to you to show how sorry I am."
"Oh… I wasn't expecting that…" Saeviour said. "I honestly have no idea what to say. I'm glad that you came to your senses, but this still does not change the fact that you are disowned."
"I know…. I hope one day I will be able to fix my wrongdoings of what I did, and maybe one day, I will be considered a Potter once more."
"Fine… I won't accept your apology just yet, as you need to prove that you changed. What has Snivellus been planning?"
Harrison was quick to lie as he told Saeviour,
"He desperately wants to resurrect the Dark Lord and bring him back to full power. I think he might be planning on stealing an object that would allow him to bring the Dark Lord back tonight."
"Thanks for the information, and I'll see if you can be trusted tonight. Meet us on the seventh floor at midnight. If you are right then I will trust you , and if you aren't, then me and Ron will hex you, and proceed to tell Professor Dumbledore and get you expelled from here."
