"Class 1-A, class 1-A... this place is so big... Oh! there it is!" Izuku Midoriya huffed as he arrived at the door, labeled "1-A," in a cubic, bright-red font.
"The door's huge! Maybe it's for accessibility?" As he was contemplating the size of the thing, he heard rapid footsteps growing louder with each one, with a voice uttering words very similar to the ones he just said.
"Class 1-A, class 1-A... why is this place so damn huge? Aha! Found it!" Midoriya watched as the figure approached him. He had dark brown hair tied up into a pigtail, wearing the same outfit as he. Once he finally made it, the boy, once again, said the same thing he said.
"The door's friggin' massive! Hey you, this 1-A? " Midoriya jumped at the mention of himself, stuttering. He noticed boy's eyebrows suddenly furrowing, as if realizing something. He brushed it off, though.
"Y-yeah, I'm pretty sure..." So, this guy's his classmate? He seemed nice enough, which was a relief. Speaking of which, if this was 1-A, did that mean he was bunched up with those mean guys? The top two? The dude with the pigtail slid the door open as he was contemplating these thoughts, the voices behind the door breaking him out of his stupor. His fears were confirmed, so it seemed.
"Get your feet off the desk! Don't you realize that it's rude to the upperclassmen?"
"Nope. Say, what was your junior high, side character?"
As the aforementioned top two argued, Midoriya's new acquaintance walked on in, seemingly ignoring the bickering. Midoriya followed right behind him, the two of them completely ignored by the rest of the class, if for a second before the entirety of it stared at the duo.
The blue-haired guy with the glasses was the first to speak. "Good morning! I am from Somei private Academy. My name is-"
"I heard!" Midoriya poked his head from behind the pigtailed guy, who himself seemed to be slightly amused. "I'm Midoriya. Nice to meet you, Iida."
The one with the pigtail simply walked out of the way of their conversation, finding an empty seat. He watched silently as the two went on. Midoriya, huh? He just knew it was the boy from before. Ranma couldn't help but smile at this strange twist of fate.
"A quirk assessment test!?" The entire class yelled in unison, quite shocked at the ordeal. The class was out on an empty field, with several markings indicating certain distances.
"What about the entrance ceremony? The orientation?" One girl said. Ranma noted her words, before musing to himself of the assessment.
Quirk assessment, huh? I guess they'll find out sooner than later, if that's the case. He started to regret labeling his curse down as his "quirk," as they called it, but since all these weird things apparently existed, he decided to roll with it, thinking everyone would see it as normal. Besides, they'd be bound to find out eventually, considering he was an absolute water magnet. Despite all that, he still cursed himself for even arriving in, this Japan in the first place. Apparently, he was going to have to use his curse a lot more from now on.
"DIE!" He was snapped out of his musings when he heard an explosion, followed by a ball hurling through the air, leaving a trail of smoke.
"Die?" He questioned the boy's choice of words almost as much as he gawked at the sheer power of his, before turning to a new speaker.
"Know your maximum first. That is the most rational way to form the foundation of a hero." The pale guy, apparently his new teacher, held up another one of those weird devices, cellphones, so they called them. "705.2 meters."
"That guy's a monster..." Ranma had his mouth open, but only a little bit. Guess I shoulda expected something like that. Wait a second... That was the blonde kid from earlier! Why hadn't he noticed this in the classroom? So, he was the source of the explosion back then. He thought it was the sludgy monster this whole time.
He heard his peers getting exited, talking about how much fun they would have, being able to use their quirks.
Right. He had to do that.
"You think this is fun, huh?" Ranma broke out of his thoughts once more, noticing Mr. Pale Guy's words. "You have three years to become a hero. Will you have an attitude lie that the whole time?" The class was silenced at that remark.
"All right. Whoever comes in last place in all eight tests will be judged to have no potential and will be punished with expulsion." Ranma paled for the second time in a matter of seconds, accompanied by the cries of his peers. He noticed one kid in particular, though.
Wait a second. That was the kid from before. He was Midoriya, wasn't he? He seemed way more worried than everyone else, as if he knew he was gonna fail.
"We're free to do what we want about the circumstances of our students." Ranma pulled his attention back to Aizawa, who pushed his scraggly hair out of the way, revealing his bloodshot, if not crazed eyes. "Welcome to U.A.'s hero course!" He couldn't help but get at least a little pumped up at that remark.
Everyone else around him seemed to show their resolve on their faces as well, with the sole exception of a certain green-haired boy. Ranma noticed this.
"The real test begins now."
Sup. Author here. Wrote this on a whim, since I got bored. This is my first time making a story online, since I usually just write them by hand. Let me know if you want more. I might write more, depending on the feedback I get.
Also changed the removed stuff from the first chapter and added that stuff into chapter 2, for the 3 of you that actually read this thing.
Signing off.
