AN: Hey everybody, welcome to the third story in my seven day release, as well as the final individual story of the seven stories.

The next 4 chapters will be posted to "Unfinished Stories". Be sure to favorite it if you want to get the updates by email.

I have a poll on my discord server to vote for which story will be released in what order, with an extra's being posted AFTER I finish uploading all the chapters for Friends in the Multiverse, Blue Jay Café, and this one, ID Create.

Now, as for this story, it's basically just me having some fun with semi crack.

The GAMER powers are always broken as fuck, we all know that, and I dislike powers like that with so many variations.

My honest and true favorite thing is when a MC has very few powers, one is the best. KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid. That's the motto I'm using here.

I took ONE power from the GAMERS arsenal and made it its own power.

The first four chapters are basically one big intro with the first world of this multiverse journey.

IT will be fast paced.

The FIRST world will not really be explored. It's just for moving things along.

From chapter five on I have fun plans! Basically, I'm going to keep trying various idea's I had for the MC's personality, the second world choice, the power system he will be using, and the waifu option.

I'll say it now that's INTENDED to be a SINGLE love interest. How far that gets I have no f'n idea.

The power is set to only 1 of 5 powers in each variation. With 1 of the five literally being just keeping things to his basic abilities.

I will NOT be giving him powers from various worlds like a fucking Pokemon collector or something. I read a story recently where a MC legit had 35 dif power systems by chap 5, a dragon god bloodline, 7 women, and shitting on any character they didn't like.

It was painful but I was bored, so it's my problem really. Don't drink poison and blame others people. Or do, your call. Just keep it away from me.

To all my followers and fans, a big thank you for sticking around these years. It's been a blast so far.

If you feel like joining the discord to message around with us assholes in there without a filter or care for public opinions, drop in and curse someone out for fun. Only real rule is no legitimate harassment and keep things in the right channels.

Link is in my separate fic, 'Author Notes'.

Shoutout to my awesome beta's, you guys are awesome.

Anyway, I won't hold things up anymore. Enjoy guys and gals and whatever the hell now days!

P.S. – I'm uploading two chapters for this one at first. The first chap is pretty short and wasn't as impactful alone.

Chapter 1: Prologue

What do you expect to see after you die?

There are many idea's, from religion, to spirituality, to a simple end and nothingness. In many stories, it's an empty void where your soul floats until it fades into the ether.

But little prepared Roy for the appearance of an office cubical after his abrupt death. One second a bright flare of light, the next a four by four office cubical with all the dramatic feelings of going to the DMV for a license to drive.

He was not amused.

"What do you mean you're out?"

"I mean we don't have it kid, we got a quota each time and they have already been taken by others."

"Oh come on! I get one chance at a wish and this is it?"

"If it makes you feel better, you will only ever end up in worlds you have at least a moderate level of knowledge of. It's how the connection between you and the worlds are made in the first place."

"I get that, it's not like I'm not grateful and all, but this is still bullshit."

Roy stared across the desk at the clearly overworked multidimensional being with dark bags under his eyes, a desk creaking from stacks of paperwork, and an overflowing ash tray.

The guy shrugged. "It is what it is kid. Pick something else."

Roy sighed. "I've already requested three dozen things."

And he really did. From bullshit powers, broken powers, top tier powers, everything from ultra-instinct to OP bloodlines, to DxD Longinus.

"And I've told you we can't do it. They have been taken already or are outside the energy quota per soul." A lit cigarette was pointed his way in exasperation.

A certain amount of time ago, planet earth kind of died. Surprisingly, it wasn't due to humanity.

The sun exploded, erasing the planet in seconds and simultaneously destroying the souls of 99.5% of living beings on the planet.

The conceptual aspect of death wasn't fast enough to claim the souls before they vanished.

The remaining .5% of lucky souls were damaged but collected. And by damaged, it means many lost their minds and had to be shuffled back into reincarnation to start over as babies in a new planet.

The less than third of that .5% retained their minds and were taken to this location, where they would wait in stasis until their turn was called to speak with someone who would give them an offer.

An insurance agency, that's pretty much how the location was summed up. The sun exploding was actually the work of some multidimensional being far beyond mortal comprehension who had an accident.

In order to avoid bad karma, which affects all conscious beings in some form, these beings offer some energy to business's like this insurance agency, to compensate whatever surviving souls remain to offset the negative karma they created.

Each soul gets a quota of energy they can use for a wish. Say one hundred points of energy, with various wishes costing a certain amount of points. A wish made beneath the quota was open to negotiation.

Unfortunately, who got chosen first from all the souls was up to chance, and Roy wasn't that lucky this time around, being toward the back of the few million souls that remained.

Doubly unfortunately, there were more than enough anime fans among those few million left for him to be left with scraps.

And no one could have the same wish, as that messed with their budget or something. Insurance agencies didn't change no matter what version.

Fortunately, every soul is separated upon rebirth by dimensional stuff about infinite parallel worlds that Roy couldn't understand, so there is no risk of running into others even if you were to have a power to multiverse travel.

Doubly fortunately, he didn't have to start as a baby if he didn't want to. He did not want to.

However the cause of the certain argument and annoyance was his most recent wish.

The gamer system. It's legend has been foretold among fanfiction for generations! Or a single generation in reality, but it felt longer.

"Well what can you give me? You said no to everything I tried." Roy responded while trying to remain calm.

The guy sighed and pulled out some files. "That would take way to long kid, so I'll just focus on your last wish. *If I have to look at this file one more time…*" He mumbled out the last part with a twitching brow.

A few packets were pulled out and laid across the desk.

"We can't give you the Gamer system like I said, but we got some variations you can choose from if you really want it."

Roy sat forward in his chair and looked over the three options listed.

Gamers Eye – The ability to observe everything in numerical form, identify objects, power levels, and weakness's. The ability grows with the user.

Cons: Turn page.

.

ID Create – The ability to create Instant Dungeons to fight, train, and gather resources.

Con: Turn page.

.

Inventory – The ability to store anything you wish in a pocket dimension where time does not move.

Cons: Turn page.

Roy clicked his tongue. "These aren't bad options but is this all you can offer?"

The guy tiredly sighed. "Yeah, in terms of 'gamer' wishes you could make, this is the best we can do. You could always try for a different area to wish for if you're not satisfied."

Roy considered it for a few moments and the guy didn't rush him. Rather, he seemed to be greatly enjoying the silence as he closed his eyes and smoked in peace.

Roy actually felt bad about breaking that peaceful expression on his face and waved a hand. "Whatever, I'm already tired and it's been hours since we started. As much fun as making a wish is, this feels like I'm at the DMV getting a license all over again."

He shivered at the memory and browsed the three files in front of him while the man chuckled and exhaled a cloud of smoke. "Preach brother."

Paperwork and offices just seemed to suck the life out of people, no matter what form it came in.

Each of the three files only had a few pages to go through so it didn't take Roy long to read the basic points.

"So basically these are rip off versions of the Gamers version?"

"Pretty much, yeah."

Roy sighed and rubbed his forehead.

Gamers Eye was good, but:

It only worked with the eyes he would be given. Meaning if the eye was damaged or taken, he lost the power as he didn't have a Gamers Body.

Furthermore, it took energy to use such as mana or stamina, and if he didn't have enough of those resources then he was screwed.

And thirdly, he had to train it from scratch.

Overall, a good ability, but one with drawbacks.

ID Create was great. It constantly grew with the user, creating harder and more varied dungeons for the user to travel, fight, and train in. The user could even mine it for raw resources like ore, fruit, and such.

The downsides were annoying however.

Only he or things considered his property/part of his soul could enter with him. Meaning he could not drag others or bring others into the dungeons. And by property, it specified things like tamed animals, slaves, and such. The world was a cruel place. Or if something were connected to his soul, like a familiar or such, they could enter with him.

He could not enter or leave a dungeon during active combat. Meaning he would have to be out of sight to enter or leave. Also meaning, he could get killed in his own dungeon.

He had no Inventory or Gamers Body to work well with a dungeon. He could get killed, there was no auto loot collect, he couldn't create skills, and he had to physically move things.

Lastly, there was no money dropped by monsters.

Even with all that, he still could see the upsides.

Inventory was basic and useful. It also grew in size with the user and having a space to store stuff not affected by time was super handy.

The downsides were also less complicated than the other two.

No living things with conscious thought can be stored.

Anything put in and taken out cost energy in the form of mana or stamina.

Anything taken out can only be placed within thirty feet of the user.

Anything stored must be physically touched by the user.

Those were the basic points. There were a few more points but much less important.

Frankly, all three were downplayed from the original versions, but at the same time each one was very useful.

"Is there any notice on what world I'm going to?"

The guy shrugged. "Nope, you could always use your wish to go to a specific world, but that takes everything you have, so no wishing for being born a Saiyan or something in Dragon Ball.

Otherwise, you will be sent randomly to any world your familiar with from fiction. The only customizable option is choosing a difficulty from easy – medium – hard – insane."

Roy deadpanned at that. "Two questions.

First: Any world? - As in anything from fiction?

Second: Does increasing the difficulty mean I can wish for better things?"

The man grinned and blew out some smoke. "Yes, and no. In that order."

Roy sat back and groaned. "Fuck me." That was….a very large selection.

The man amusedly let Roy stew for a few moments before speaking up. "Don't worry kid, to share a not so secret, secret, I'll let you know that usually the randomizing effect for your world choice is at least partial to whatever interests the target has.

For example, if you're a huge anime fan, you have a higher chance of landing in one. Magic fan then magic worlds, science fan then science worlds. So on and so forth."

"And you didn't mention that earlier because?"

"My job has few perks. This is one."

"Jerk."

The guy chuckled. "Feel better?"

Roy grunted. "Yeah. So why the difficulty choice?"

He shrugged. "No idea. When I asked my supervisor, I was told 'Why not?.' Personally, I think it's just a way of organizing what worlds we send you to. If you picked Insane, it would look for the highest chance of danger types of worlds and so on."

Roy nodded at that. "Makes sense, I guess things like Warhammer 40K, avoiding insane setting for sure. Any advice for difficulty setting?"

The guy rose a brow. "You're asking me?"

"No shit, who else is here? You're the expert on this aren't you?"

The guy blinked in slight surprise before leaning back into his chair with a chuckle. "You know kid, you would be shocked by how few people I get who actually ask for my opinion on these things. It's all 'give me this, give me that, I want this, I think this..' Which is fair since it's their choice to make, but honestly, how the hell is a human mortal who lived a handful of years more knowledgeable on things than us. In fact, it saves us work to let them decide."

The man seemed to go off on a short rant for a few more minutes and Roy listened and nodded along. 'This dude seriously needs a vacation.'

"You seriously need a vacation." Roy's thoughts became reality and stopped the guys rant.

The guy slammed his hand on his desk and shook some papers and ash. "Damn straight I do!" But then he sagged back. "Unfortunately, I have a job to do, willingly or not."

Roy rose a brow in question but the man waved it away. "Your too young to understand how this legal shit works in the multiverse, it's complicated. Just know I fucked up, and this is my punishment in a way. Think of it as civil service if you want. I'll be free in a few decades.

Anyway, my work aside, I do have a piece of advice for you kid."

The man moved away two of the three Gamer options and flipped through a few pages of the third one. His finger landed on a bit of small text between two larger paragraphs.

"Read here."

Roy did so and his eyes widened. "Wait… really?"

While Roy would say he was very invested in his once in a life wish, he was still very tired and there was plenty of small text here and there he mentally ignored like a phone plan asking you to read the terms and agreements.

The greatest lie of humankind to ever exist.

The man smirked. "Yeah kid, really. Think you can put two and two together?"

Roy rapidly put the pieces of everything he was told together over the last few hours and nodded with an excited smile.

"I choose ID Create for my wish. And Easy difficulty."

The man laughed and put away the other files aside from the one for ID Create. "Good choice. What do you want the activation word to be?"

Roy thought about it for a moment before shrugging. "If I'm going to have to say it out loud all the time, I'd rather it be something simple as well as something I wouldn't say by accident. It might be a tad cringe but make it Aschente. In honor of that beautiful game world anime."

The man nodded and wrote it down. "Perfect, that should be it." He stamped the file and put it on some weird device at his side before it released a white glow and he clicked his tongue. "Damn, you got some more space here for your quota with how downscaled the ability was. Anything minor you want to add in?"

Roy hummed for a moment in thought. 'What can I ask for to make the most out of this?'

An idea hit him and he quickly worked to negotiate with the man.

They went back and forth for a while until an agreement was made and they both stood up with tired smiles.

"Alright kid, that's everything. Best of luck in your new life."

Roy shook the man's hand. "Thanks for all the help, I really appreciate the advice. How is this supposed to work anyway?"

"Heh, don't worry about it. And don't think too hard about it, there is a process to make everyone's wish a reality in some way. It might be weird, but it will work."

Roy chuckled and pointed at the blank name plate. "I will. Whats your name anyway? It feels weird how I never asked."

The guy grimaced. "It's Jake."

Roy rose an amused brow. "From State-Farm?"

"Get the fuck out of my office." Jake slammed a button and the floor opened up to swallow Roy in a mixture of laughter and surprise. "Fuck you to Jake!" His voice reverberated back and made Jake smile. "Good luck kid."

Jake took a final look at Roy's file. 'Nice package here.'

A flash of light indicated a new soul appearing in his office and the smirk was wiped off Jakes face. "I hate this job."
