Chapter 19: Umbridge's Downfall
"Harry, I need you to be sure about this," Naruto said, as the group hurried up the twisting stairs. "I saw it. It's just like with Mr. Weasley, it's the door I've been dreaming about. I couldn't remember where I'd seen it before, but Sirius said Voldemort was after something. Something he didn't have the last time, in the Department of Mysteries," Harry explained. "Harry, please just listen," Hermione pleaded, as they came to a stop on the stairs that haven't rotated yet. "What if Voldemort meant for you to see this? What if he's only hurting Sirius because he's trying to get to you?"
"What if he is? I'm supposed to just let him die?! He's the only family I've got left," Harry stated. "Then I say we go," Naruto said, as everybody looked at him in surprise. "Knowing Voldemort, he's not going to be alone, as he will have Menma and the other Death Eaters help him with his dirty work, along with the fact that I won't let you lose a family member." Harry nods, "Thank you," he said gratefully. "What do we do?" Ron asked. "We'll have to use the Floo Network," Harry explained, as they entered the common room. "Umbridge has the chimneys under surveillance, but that's not all of them."
"Guys if we are going to do this, then it's about time I hand you this," the blond said, as he handed his friends a three-bladed kunai, with a handle showing a written seal. "What is this?" Ron asked, as he and his friends examined the kunai. "This is the Flying Thunder God Kunai, it was based off of my father's ninja tool he used during his time as a shinobi. I modified the marker so that if you guys are really in a bind, I will teleport to where you guys are, thanks to the technique I learned from my father's journal, but be careful as I only made one for you guys so don't lose it." Harry nods and takes the kunai, strapping it to his waist. "Also guys, I think if we're going to do this, we're going to need to split up, so you guys head to the Ministry your way, I go my way," Naruto stated. Ron and Hermione were shocked by what he said, but Harry nodded, "Do what you need to do, but try to keep contact with us, got it?" Naruto nods and proceeds to go to his cabin.
The blond arrives at the cabin to see that Itachi was there waiting for him. "Itachi, we have to head to the Ministry, it looks like Voldemort and Menma are there," Naruto explained. "I know, thanks to a little recon I did. I believe it's time you open the package," he said, as he handed the boy the sword he gave as a gift on Christmas. Naruto finds the package and opens it to see what was inside. Inside the package was a white Kitsune mask that looked almost cyberpunk like, as the eyes look like they can glow. However there wasn't only just a mask, but a sneaking suit similar to a cyborg ninja. The suit was fully white, but the shoulders were metallic orange, the torso and knee pads were midnight blue(think of Raiden's costume from Metal Gear Solid 4, but mixed with some of Gray Fox's suit color palette from Metal Gear Solid). "I figured an Anbu uniform wouldn't fit you, so I managed to get someone to make this suit for you. Each color of the suit is made of a different material that serves a purpose for you when it comes to combat. Oh and it comes with a couple of holsters for your wand and kunai," Itachi explained. Naruto nods, "Alright then, let's go!" After Itachi donned his Anbu uniform, the two left for the Ministry, by riding on one of the dragons Naruto summoned.
With Harry and Hermione
Both Harry and Hermione were held at wandpoint, as they were leading Umbridge to the Forbidden Forest looking for a so-called secret weapon of theirs. Apparently Harry, Ron, and Hermione were caught by Umbridge, while the Inquisitorial Squad brought some of the group's accomplices. They tried searching for Naruto, but they couldn't find him so they settled on the accomplices. Umbridge of course was considering using Crucio towards Harry, to get information out of him, but luckily Hermione decided to lie to Umbridge about this weapon, so that is why they are in the forest. "How much further?" Umbridge asked, still pointing her wand at the two. "Not far…had to be somewhere students wouldn't find us accidentally," Hermione stated. "What are you doing?" Harry whispered to Hermione, to which she responded by saying that she was improvising. They arrived at the area to see that the rope there was torn in this rather dark misty area of the forest. "Well…where is this weapon?" she asked the two, as they looked at each other.
"There isn't one, is there? You were trying to trick me?" she stated the obvious. "You know…I really hate children," Umbridge stated, as the two just gave her a sarcastic look. She then goes on to explain how she was the one who sent the Dementors after Harry causing this whole incident, as she was speaking about this manically, if not almost gleefully as she stated Fudge never even knew nor does she ever have any intention to tell the Minister of what really happened. Suddenly the three heard hooves, as they turned around to see that the Centaurs were there, standing menacingly. Umbridge was behind Harry and Hermione like the coward she was. "You have no business here Centaur. This is a ministry matter…" she stated, though the Centaurs didn't listen, as they were coming closer and some of them were drawing out their bows and arrows. "Lower your weapons…I warn you under the law as creatures of near human intelligence-"
The Centaur fired an arrow at her, to which she deflected it. "How dare you?! Filthy half-breed! Incarcerous!" she shouted, firing a rope spell at one of the Centaurs, to which that one Centaur was struggling to get the rope out of him, as he tumbled down. Both Harry and Hermione were watching in horror at what was happening, as Hermione decided to go to the fallen Centaur and try to take off the rope. "Please! Please stop it, please!" she begged. "Enough! I will have order!" she stated, as Harry backed up, but soon looked up. Grawp the giant picks up Umbridge, as she tries to get off. The Centaurs all rushed at the giant with the incapacitated Centaur joining in as well since they wanted a piece of Umbridge and they don't want the giant taking their target. Harry and Hermione were quickly escaping from the scene, as Grawp soon drops Umbitch to the Centaurs. "Potter! Do something! Tell them I mean no harm!" Umbridge begged, as she was afraid of what was going to happen. "Sorry Professor, I must not tell lies," he said, looking rather smug.
"What are you doing! Nooooo!" he heard Umbridge shriek. "Noooooo . . . I am a Senior Undersecretary . . . you cannot . . . unhand me, you animals . . . nooooo!" That was the last anyone has seen of Umbridge, as she was dragged away by the Centaurs leaving her fate unknown. The two thanked the giant, as he smiled back at them, pulling off one of the arrows in his arms. They rushed back to the school and saw that their friends were fighting some of the remaining Inquisitorial Squad in an all out duel. Both Harry and Hermione helped their friends out and soon the remaining Inquisitorial Squad were defeated. "How are you guys?" Harry asked Ron, Neville, Luna, Daphne, Cedric, and Ginny, as they were all looking worse for wear. "Tis but a scratch," Cedric said, as they were all chuckling at how he can keep a positive emotion despite what happened. "So," said Ron, pushing aside a low-hanging branch and holding out Harry's wand, "had any ideas?"
"How did you get away?" asked Harry in amazement, taking his wand from Ron. "Couple of Stunners, a Disarming Charm, Neville brought off a really nice little Impediment Jinx, Cedric using Levicorpus, and Daphne using Rictumsempra," said Ron airily, now handing back Hermione's wand too. "But Ginny was best, she got Malfoy — BatBogey Hex — it was superb, his whole face was covered in the great flapping things. Anyway, we saw you heading into the forest out of the window and followed. What've you done with Umbridge?" Both Harry and Hermione explained everything about what happened in the forest and needless to say they were surprised, but glad they were okay. "Wait, where's Naruto?!" Daphne asked, as the others wanted to know. Luckily an unexpected guest arrived and it was Brutus, as he walked up to the group. "Brutus, what are you doing here? Where is Naruto?" Hermione asked, petting the wolf. "Guys, Naruto told me to give you this message that he is at the Ministry right now with some help."
This surprised everyone, "Wait, Naruto is already there?" Harry asked, to which the wolf nodded. "He is clearing a path for you guys, I believe it's time you guys get going, hurry!" The wolf stated, before poofing away. "Alright guys, it's going to be dangerous, I don't want to risk your safety, so it's fine if you don't want to join in, no shame," Harry stated. "Harry, we already made our decision and we want to help you out," Neville said, with a serious look. "Yeah Potter, I'm not just going to leave you out there, besides I can't lose my boyfriend to an old, obsessive, bald creep from what you and Naruto described," Daphne said. "You and Naruto are our friends and friends don't leave anyone behind," Cedric, Ginny, and Luna stated. Harry nods at them, "Just know that once we go, there is no coming back, so settle any affairs right now and meet back here quickly, got it?" Harry asked, to which they all nodded. Soon they all arrived dressed in casual clothes, as they didn't need their school clothes. "So how are we going to go to the Ministry?" Ron asked, as everybody thought of that as well. "Don't worry, I brought forth some help," Luna stated, as eight thestrals arrived. "Luna, Naruto was right…you really are the brightest girl," Hermione said, as everybody agreed, while Luna chuckled. "Alright everyone, pick one and get on, the time has come, let's stop this son of a bitch from getting his slithery hands on whatever he is looking for," Harry stated, as they all got on their thestral and flew to the Ministry, preparing for anything as this could be a trap.
