Two hundred years ago, Vrael commanded Eragon Shadeslayer and Saphira Brightscales to leave Alagaësia on a mysterious mission. Now they have returned, only to find that the world they left behind is not the same one they remember. The Order is gone, decimated by a Rider called Galbatorix, and Eragon must fight for his home and face a past he once though he left behind.

Elaina has had a rough life. She worked the fields with Eragon under pay until everything changed. They struck out on a journey hunted like animals, and she was determined to protect him. It is a rewritten cycle. The events are going differently. Eragon doesn't start out as a farm boy. A dragon does not hatch for him right away. This is, in my opinion, a more realistic version with a more involved Galbatorix that uses its abilities rather than just sitting in a castle. It is necessary to read the cycle. I use what Christopher Paolini created and I'm learning english
