Harry blinked. To start looking around him.

No sub-Saharan heat, no trees that could possibly be found in the savannah, no rough dry roots under his feet; the forest around him looked a lot more familiar...

In fact —his body swerved with his eyes... This was where Voldemort had sent cast the (third) Avada Kevada. Where Harry had died.

Out in the distance, between the trees, he could even just make out Hogwarts. The sun looked to be setting, with the castle's towers glowing with a reddish tint. —

Rustling from the nearby undergrowth made him turn, his wand raising. -The spot had been an acromantula nest not too long ago, and Harry didn't have the Ford Angola this time round. Yet in reminiscence of first year rather than second, it wasn't giant spiders but two centaurs who appeared into the clearing: Ronan and Bane.

Just as the Elder Wand pointed at them, they had their bows and arrows at the ready. Thankfully, they lowered their respective weapons when the centaurs identified Harry.

Bane remained silent. Harry liked to think his perpetual frown was softer than usual (All while trying not to think too hard on when the centaurs had threatened Hermione and himself to never return within the forest, after having taken Umbridge with them.) In all honesty, what unnerved Harry the most was that how Bane continued to look at him. It was rather reminiscent of the goblins' stares when he had gone to apologise and settle the matter of having ridden out of Gringotts on top of one of their dragons... after having broken in and stolen from their vaults... and gone back on his word with regards to Gryffindor's sword... (Not to mention, Neville still currently had said sword, as Madam Longbottom liked to remind everybody; everyone non-goblin at least).

— "Disciple of Pluto[1]." Harry's eyes snapped to Ronan. Harry wondered if he would accuse Harry of forsaking on his promise to never return to the forest. Only both centaurs flung their heads back and looked up at the sky instead.

"Pluto shines brightest still," Ronan stated, as if confirming something. There were indeed some of the stars already starting to show in the dimming sunset.

Bane retorted, "Yet it is Jupiter one cannot help but obverse; unusually bright this time of year. While Saturn has dimmed..." his deep voice lowering with his face, as his eyes landed once more on Harry.

"Umm, right..." Harry wasn't sure to reply (nor could he remember what Professor Sinistra had told them the significance of Saturn was). "Well, thank you for... the information. I'm just going to go back to the castle..."

Gaze leaving the sky, Ronan gave Harry a bow of the head, "Safe return, Harry Potter."

Harry quickly gave a head nod of his own, moving backwards... to move into a near run as soon as he left the clearing. Hopefully those within the castle hadn't been too worried, wondering where Harry was...

The headache that had been building for the last hour was now officially formed.

Three weeks and still nothing.

Taking note of his spot, Stephen moved to the end of the self to look pointedly at the other sorcerer, who was looking through the shelf that supposedly held books on Dimension Travel.

"Aren't you supposed to be the librarian? As in, in charge of the books?" He asked as if for the first time. "How is there not a catalogue of all the books of the Sanctums?"

Not even looking from the shelf, or even from the book he was examining, came the soft but unflappable reply, "there are a lot of books in each of the Temples." -As if Stephen hadn't noticed, spending far too much time around them the last weeks. (The only real break had been that pompous Stark's wedding. At least Christine had agreed to come as his date, which had made the day not a total loss. The champagne had been good as well, he supposed)

"And the Sanctum Catalogue was destroyed during Kaecilius' attacks. We had just started putting things back in order when..." There was a slight pause, for Wong to settle on, "the Time Stone was destroyed."

There was no mention (this time) of Stephen having handed the stone over... or the sorcerer—wizard, who had refused to return the stone to Stephen. (It was a rather ironic twist of fate that it was the Time Stone that had been used to restore most of the Sanctums after Kaecilius and his Zealots' attacks, for them to be searching through said restored space, to look for answers baout the wizard and the stones.)

As if to push further, Wong added, "It just takes time. The new London Sanctum Master and librarian are still getting use to their roles. Priority was given to saving the universe, before updating the catalogues."

Stephen glared at him. The answer had barely changed from yesterday, just as the ongoing catalogue looked at the end table, where two acolytes were even now scribbling away. He doubted a tenth of the library had been jotted down so far. It had taken them eleven days to go through the New York library. Seventeen days, the Kamar-Taj's. They had found nothing in either — not even within the House of Wisdom. Thankfully, the librarians of both Hong Kong and London had already started looking when Stephen, Wong and several of the acolytes had joined them, but there was still a long way to go.

The problem was also that none of them knew what they were looking for.

Still, Stephen felt... foolish to not have thought to look at the London Sanctum earlier. 'Harry' had definitely had a British accent. Not that that really amounted to much: he was from another dimension. —Speaking of which...

Stephen turned his glare once more on Wong, "And don't think I'm going to forget anytime soon that a dimensional traveller was able to arrive in our universe and you did nothing."

"I sensed he wasn't a threat."

"He took down Thanos, while he was still holding five of the infinity stones — to destroy said infinity stones using the Forbidden Arts. —How could he not have been considered a threat?"

"Not a threat to us."

Jaw clenched, Stephen suppressed a grumble, before moving back to his previous spot in the shelves. No matter that they already had this conversation several times; the break had been worth it. Wong needed to be chastised. And as Sorcerer Supreme, it was Stephen's job to do it. Besides, Stephen was in the right; Wong had done nothing while a potential threat had entered their dimension and Stephen had been tortured and fighting a titan.

Plus, the Cloak was still acting...

Stephen looked over to the large bay window. The piece of cloth hadn't moved from its position, floating mid-air, looking outside, an air of gloom surrounding it. The forlorn 'look' had barely changed for the past three weeks.

... Just like a heartbroken teenage girl.

With a roll of the eyes and a huff, Stephen tried to focus back on the books in front of him. (How do you get a magic cape out of a funk? —If there were magic carpets out there, Stephen would be sure to never introduce the Cloak to them, lest it be worse.)

With a sigh Stephen looked back at the shelf —to stop. He pushed back in the book he had been pulling out, to focus on a smaller one three slots further.

He eyed it wearily. He didn't sense any sort of threat from it, but you could never be too sure...

As soon as his fingers touched it, he was certain he felt a slight shiver run through him... the hairs at the back of his neck rising. It was small, black; inconspicuous really. Just as on the spine, there weren't any words on the written on the front or back cover. The only marking was a symbol etched in the leather, both on the spine and on the cover: a triangle with a circle within, and a line cutting it in two. It was the same symbol 'Harry's ring had carved in its stone.

"Now Molly, the sausage rolls are doing just fine. Here—"

Harry watched from the hallway as Mrs Granger placed a glass of red wine in Molly Weasley's hand, guiding her away from the kitchen, "Why don't you join Arthur and the rest in the living room..."

Molly fiddled with her glass, to give another wary look inside the kitchen, clearly not trusting the muggle equipment to cook the food as well as her. "Are you sure Heather? I am more than happy to help, while Ian finishes preparing the vision-box—"

"-No-no, but thank you; everything is under control here. Go — enjoy yourself."

Following Molly with his eyes, Harry looked inside the large living room. George was speaking with Angelina in the corner. Alicia and Lee were talking by the tables with snacks (which Molly had been moving towards, before being intercepted by Andromeda). Ginny and Luna were entertaining Crookshanks on one of the sofas. Behind them, He could just make out Justin and Ernie with a few others, out on the patio. Several of the witches had taken the other sofa; currently giggling about something Harry had no interest in knowing. Suppressing a shudder, Harry quickly looked away — to happily note Dennis had come, currently speaking with Neville, Seamus and Parvati, looking to be explaining something to them; probably something muggle.

Speaking of which. Harry suppressed a smile as he noticed Arthur looking several times over at the various electrical equipment placed throughout the room, before his eyes would inevitably return to the television set, where Mr Granger was finishing setting up the film.

The sound of steps made him look behind him: Hermione was finishing coming down the stairs.

"All alright?"

Hermione gave a sigh, though a small smile could be seen, "Ron insisted on turning on each of the lamps in my room. To then turn them back off..."

"Well, just make sure Arthur doesn't sneak several of your lamps... or your television."

"Tell me about it. Apparently he's already asked dad if he could borrow his lawnmower during their meal together last week. Thankfully Molly put a stop to it before my parents had to find a reason to deny him."

Harry gave a chuckle. Eyes going back to the living room, his face turned sombre, as he asked in a voice low, "... things better with your parents?"

Hermione's own face turned strained, "They're better... They understand why I did it but it's..."

There was a pause. For Hermione to change subject, "Any luck with Uagadou?"

Harry gave a sigh, thinking back on his meeting earlier that day, "McGonagall has been talking with its Headmistress, but she said that something probably won't be able to be organised for some time. — Viktor, on the other hand, got back to me. Apparently Durmstrang's new Headmaster is eager to meet me, and he hasn't shut down the idea of a possible visit. He probably wants to underline how different he is from Karkaroff."

"That's wonderful!" Hermione voice become animated in her excitement, "It would be fascinating to be able to visit another school. I mean, just how Durmstrang takes on the subject of Ancient Runes — which is of course much more prominent in their culture — much less Latin based magic. Did you know that it was the Romans that introduced wands to Europe? Druids had much more potion based magic, and Vikings of course brought runes. Viktor had mentioned that the Deathly Hallow mark was thought more as a rune —or really, a bi-rune, than just a mere symbol. Many are convinced it was the source of Grindelwald's power-"

"What's this about Krum?"

Both turned to find Ron taking the last steps of the staircase. Harry felt Hermione stop herself from rolling her eyes.

Still, probably be best if Harry took this one, "I was telling Hermione that Viktor got back to me with regards to getting an exemption to visit Durmstrang."

"Oh... right," Ron shifted slightly, trying to look completely fine with Harry's reply. "That's... nice. Will Krum be there?"

This time Hermione did roll her eyes, to give a small huff as she started moving towards the living room.

"What? I'm just asking. I mean, Krum is a Quidditch player. He's hardly an expert in Norse Mythology and Ancient Runes," Ron tried to defend himself as he followed behind her.

Slowly following behind them himself (though not really wanting to get in the middle of all that), Harry looked back inside the kitchen, to find Mrs Granger taking the snacks out of the oven.

"Do you need any help Mrs Granger?" (Unlike with Molly, Harry could actually help in the muggle kitchen, without the danger of short-circuiting anything by insisting that he could use his wand and 'have everything ready in a jiffy'.)

"It's Heather, dear. And thank you, but everything is fine. Go join the others. I'll be right behind you."

By the time Harry settled on the sofa between Ginny and Ron (with Crookshanks, having relocated to his mistress's lap), Ron had already left a noticeable indent visible in the bowl of crisps. (Thankfully the matter of Viktor Krum seemed to have been settled... for now).

"So what are we watching again, the Loose Feet one?" Ron asked.

Suppressing a smile, Harry corrected him, "It's Footloose, and no, we're watching that one in a couple weeks. First we need to get through the several films in this series."

"Anything like the Merlin's tales?" the question this time coming from Ginny. Like most, she had definitely liked, but had been rather bemused, by the film The Sword in the Stone, and how magic and wizards —and Merlin had been portrayed by muggles. (While Hermione had sent a large part of the film jotting down the many things that witches and wizard, even Merlin, just could not do. — Not even the great Merlin couldn't have three animagus forms! She had also made a list of all the other things she was unsure, and was currently looking through.)

Before Harry could reply though, the film company music started playing loudly as the logo came on screen, for blue words to appear on the telly's screen: "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away..."

Harry was just fixing the collar of his Auror training robes, when he stopped mid-motion.

He no longer was in his bedroom in Grimmauld Place...

In fact, this place couldn't be farther from the Black London townhouse. Large colonnades, a huge dome like ceiling, with paintings of dragons —no, wyverns, Harry corrected himself, noting the lack of front legs, and that notable smaller amount of spikes on their bodies.

The room (if one could really call it a room) reminded him of Beaubaton, when Fleur had invited them to visit, with Madame Maxime's consent of course. (The French witch might have wanted not to be outdone by Harry, joined by Hermione and Ron, having already visited both Durmstrang and Uagadou.)

Speaking of Fleur... looking at the very beautiful, very richly dressed people in front of him, several with pale golden hair, and eyes of various shades of blues and purples (along with what was clearly their guards, holding spears and swords that would have goblins jealous) a sinking feeling ran through Harry. He really, really hoped, he hadn't somehow, accidentally, landed in the middle of a Conclave of Veela.

Harry tried to reassure himself that, at the very least, he hadn't landed in one of the veela kingdoms' palaces. From the little Fleur had talked about veela, they were very protective of their inner cities, and humans were definitely not welcome. Here, amongst the potential veelas, there were several that were definitely not of veela descent.

(In any case, he was pretty sure he wouldn't be going to training today. Hopefully, he wouldn't be late for the Halloween Feast Molly was preparing for this evening.)

[1] Jupiter/Zeus: king of the gods (also associated with thunder and summer), he deposed his own father Cronus, aka Saturn, ruler of the Titans.

Saturn/Cronus: king of the titans, until he was defeated by his son; his punishment: swinging a scythe of time, mercilessly cutting through the ages. From this, he gained the name 'Father Time'.

Pluto/Hades: god of the underworld; one of Zeus' brothers/sons of Cronus.

AUTHOR NOTE

As hinted by the last scene, I might do a series of these. Might being the key word as I don't have much free time at the moment, and I rather use my writing time to focus on the stories that are already far more developed.

If you are interested in doing a continuation of sorts, please feel free to do so. Please reference this story, and follow these simple rules: Harry is only allowed to stay maximum ONE day (i.e. the duration of Halloween) wherever Death sends him to stop (or at least greatly reduce) a huge amount of deaths in the (near or far) future.

To give examples, if I do continue, some of my ideas would be:

- Harry landing in the Good Omens TV series on the day of the End of the World;

- several ideas for GoT/ASoIsF, one which was already hinted (Harry saving the T dynasty during the Tragdy of Summerhall; saving Rhaella T or Joanna L or Lyanna S during their respective labours; Harry saving Elia and her 2 children during the King's Landing siege; saving Joer Mormont and his men against the army of the dead;... the list goes on)

- Supernatural: Harry lands in the Kitchen Storage fridge in Elisior Hotel

- Harry Potter landing in one of the Predator or Predator-Alien films of those Universes (inspired by Patrick Willems' Predator video on youtube)

- The Incredibles: Harry landing on the superhero test island

- Xmen films: Harry landing in the underground lab from the second film / on the island in First Class/...

- Batman vs Superman: helps Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman fight the monster-alien thing (Wonder Woman thinks Harry is a demi-god?)

Also some thoughts of more 'fun' ones, which Death things Harry deserves a 'break' of sorts:

- Harry dropped off in either the UK Ghosts series or its US counterpart, to spend a day with the ghosts and the young couple.
