Hello fellow lovers of fan fiction.
It's been a long time, huh? Well, I should probably start out with an explanation. Right around the time that I stopped posting, I started dating the woman that would become my wife. I knew that this relationship would go somewhere, so I threw myself into it. A lot of my free time went out the window. 2019 was dedicated to bettering myself as a person and partner so that I would do the one thing required when a woman wants to be with you. Don't mess it up.
After that, I started settling into a groove. At the start of 2020, I wanted to get back into writing fanfic. But then…well…we all know how 2020 went. Multiple moves and many job changes later, I was settled. But then there was a wedding to plan for 2021. By the time that was done, I had settled into the groove of righting my original stories for fun. Not going to lie, I had lost a lot of the minor details of my fan fiction stories. My notes had been either lost or ruined during the moves. As I tried to turn that around and pull out everything that I planned for my fanfiction, 2022 hit.
This has been the year of code red personal emergencies. One after the other. By the time that the dust settled, I came to a realization. Life is way too short. The world is falling apart. I need to dedicate myself to my dreams. So I needed to make a change. And I needed to get closure for my fanfiction career.
You probably know where this is going. I want to completely dedicate myself to my original writing and ideas. Unfortunately, I don't have the time for fanfiction anymore. I want to focus on self publishing my novels and working on my YouTube channel. I will start publishing my 30 original novels starting 2023. Yeah. If writing fanfic taught me anything, it was how to follow through with writing long stories. The first book will be Dance of Frozen Death. Book 1 out of 15 in my Written in Stone series. As for my YouTube channel, I'm planning to make it a substitute for fanfiction. I want to use my experience in writing to examine what some movies, shows, and games could have done to make the story a little better. Or praise stories that I think did really well. Now, let's get to the real reason that you're here. I want closure for my fanfiction days. So I decided to outline everything that I planned to happen. Or…at least what I remember. Without my notes, some of the minor plots faded away. So here we go. This is why would have happened in the Obsession series.
Now, let me start out by saying that these plans never involved season 3 and 4 of Young Justice. I outlined these ideas back when those seasons weren't even expected to be made. I also haven't gotten around to watching them yet. Superhero burnout. I try to stick with what's relevant in my social circles. With a new Marvel property (usually a mediocre show) coming out every few months, I try to save my tolerance for that. So keep that in mind going forward.
Desperation
Chapter 10
-Danny intercepts Arsenal before the original Roy can go after Lex. He juggles working with both the Light and the Justice League. Cracks begin to appear in his mental state. He starts to work harder on the Doomsday Project and fixing Match.
-Dani goes to the bridal shower. There is a lot of awkwardness from everyone that's there. They try not to argue about their actions, but the tension causes arguments between those that are working with the League, those that are working outside of the League, and those that are unhappy with their current position.
-Joel is in mourning over the loss of Superboy. Everyone tries to pull him out of it, but no one can talk him down. Starfire convinces him that they need to fight. The only way to bring closure is to bring down those that keep hurting his friends. Joel's team swears to stop him if he tries to kill anyone.
-Luna's integrating herself into Amity Parks and Young Justice. Her bubbly personality and skills in lying make her a natural. In fact, she has to keep an eye on Bart. No matter how hard she tries, she can't get Danny to give her any attention.
Chapter 11
-Luna begins to drastically interfere with the timeline more than anticipated. She gets in contact with Joel to give him hints about how to hunt down members of the Light. Her actions cause a fight to break out between Joel's group (the Outsiders) and Red X's team. The fight ends with both sides getting wounded. Mount Justice remains safe. No one is kidnapped. Joel begins to show a brutality and anger that he never had before. Most of his team actively encourages his behavior.
-Dani grows suspicious of Luna. The future girl acts oddly around her. She consults with her friends. They decide that they need to keep a closer eye on Luna and Amity Park. They have a bad feeling about what's happening right under their noses.
Chapter 12
-This is a break from the normal episodes. It focuses on a failure in the Doomsday project. While in transport to Amity Park, Doomsday breaks out. Danny decides to go intercept Doomsday himself but is stopped by Luna.
-Luna uses the rest of the chapter to explain what happens in the future. Danny doesn't make it out of the fight with Doomsday alive. His death creates a snowball effect that brings ruin to the planet. She shows Danny her notebook filled with future events and the arrival of meta-humans and aliens to Earth
Chapter 14
-Danny and Luna work together to take down Doomsday without anyone dying.
-Luna breaks down once alone with her father. She shows him a drawing that she made of her holding hands with Danny and Jinx. Her dream is to have her parents love her. When she explains how disgusting she thinks that her conception was, Danny embraces her. He accepts her as his daughter and proclaims that he loves her.
-Luna falls asleep on the couch while leaning on Danny. Meanwhile, he sits away. His eyes are glued to the notebook of future events. A wicked grin spreads across his face.
Chapter 15
-In a show of solidarity, Young Justice and Joel's group decide to work together to save the kidnapped civilians. They all infiltrate the Reach ship. While they do manage to free the civilians, they find themselves surrounded on all sides by Light and Reach forces.
-Danny uses this moment to reveal himself to Dani and Joel. He bitterly speaks of how weak he feels. He finds the ideas of superheroes to not be good enough anymore. Following the rules to the letter doesn't help save lives. In order to keep the peace, one has to sacrifice parts of themselves. Dani and Joel find themselves agreeing with him.
-During the fighting, Jason's identity is revealed to the Bat family. They're floored by this revelation.
-Miss Martian tries to mentally attack Thorn for killing Superboy. Thorn's insanity reverses the attack. Miss Martian hears Superboy's voice begging her to stop and be better. Johnny 13 intervenes before real damage is done. He chases Kitty off before she can do any more damage.
-Danny reveals himself to the Team. All of the Light soldiers bow to him. Terrified and confused, the young heroes flee. Danny comments on how he will deal with all of them one by one.
Chapter 16
-Danny begins to publicly support the Reach. Together, they begin to use technology to seemingly help the sick and poor. No one knows that they're using the process to scan for metahumans.
-Jinx begins to accept that Danny is on the Light's side. She questions why they can't be together. Luna intercepts and says that the time was wrong. Jinx finds herself strangely recognizing Luna. Vandal Savage manages to see his bloodline as well.
-Joel's group begins an internal debate about what to do about Danny. Those that know Danny say that they need to give him a second chance. Those that aren't familiar with Danny says that he needs to be defeated. Joel thinks about their arguments. He talks with Ace. Ace tells him that he needs to follow his own code. Sometimes, you can make compromises without dirtying his own hands.
-Dani fights Despero with the help of everyone at the Hall. They manage to best him and get information about space. Despero reveals that there isn't an alien species alive that isn't aware of the ghosts. Apokolips wants them and Earth more than anything else. In a way, the Reach is acting as a shield from a greater threat.
Chapter 17
-Joel meets with Ra's. He wants to have a conversation with his father. They discuss the line between life and death. Joel mentions that he wants to create a future where people don't need to die. Ra's argues that such a future can't come without sacrifices. Joel mentions that his closest friends want Ra's dead. Ra's will gladly accept death if Joel takes his place.
-Dani is on the mission. She struggles to work with Arsenal and Blue Beetle. Luna and Bart are on their best behavior. Robin is conflicted about if he should even be Robin now that Jason is back. They're attacked by Black Beetle, Thorn, and Red X's group. The fights separate them all.
-Danny appears to stop Red X and talk to Bart
-Arsenal acts like a wild person. Dani is forced to knock him unconscious. Green Beetle arrives to save the day. While he and Blue Beetle bond, the League criticized how Dani handled the mission. Frustrated, she storms off. Arsenal agrees that he's not ready to be on a normal team. Danny approaches him and gets him to travel with Joel.
Chapter 18
-Miss Martian has gone into a deep depression. Her powers aren't working after her fight with Thorn. While out and about, she's approached by Red X. Red X takes off his mask. Miss Martian breaks down crying.
-This is where I was supposed to show a lot of what was happening behind the scenes for those that worked with Danny. The Suicide Squad is forced to go to therapy to work through their problems. Harriet and Damien grow close and agree to start dating. Amanada Waller notes that Danny's way of using the Suicide Squad is best because it does good and force rehabilitation.
-Luna swears loyalty to the Light as their new mole. Vandal approaches her alone. She reveals partial truths about her origin. She manages to convince Vandal that he sent her from the future to fix minor problems to his plans. Vandal accepts Luna as kin.
-Luna and Bart intercept Green Beetle's attempts to restart Blue Beetle's scarab. Both of the Beetles are knocked unconscious by Luna's powers. For a moment, the Reach is confused until they realize that they're still in control over the Beetles.
Chapter 19
-Joel intercepts the Runaways. Instead of taking them in, he offers them shelter. Gear's relationship with Static helps.
-The Reach are delighted by Danny's research. They hope to use his efforts to beat Apokolips. Danny uses his high standing with the Reach to learn everything that he can about the gods of Apokolips.
-Luna begins to befriend all the members of the Team. She manages to get a few of them alone and attack them.
-Dani agrees to meet with Thorn. They talk about everything that happened with Youngblood. Thorn wants to take Dani as an apprentice because Youngblood loved her so much. They're interrupted by Johnny 13. As the two women flee, Dani agrees to start meeting with her.
Chapter 20
-Danny is with Vandal Savage to get Mongol to attack Earth. During the process, Dark Dan approaches Danny. They both note that they can't start a fight right now. Dark Dan says that he's impressed by how far Danny has come. Danny swears to kill Dan and put an end to all possible futures where his family dies.
-Mongol attacks Earth. In order to buy time for Young Justice, Vlad opens the path to the Ghost Zone once more. All of the ghosts flood out to defend the planet from the War World's attacks. Vision goes into labor.
-Young Justice moves to intercept Mongol. After a hard battle, they come out victorious. Dani, Luna, and Blue Beetle betray them. All of the defeated members of Young Justice are put on ice.
Chapter 21
-Dani and Blue Beetle cover up the disappearance of everyone. They act concerned and place all the blame on Luna. Luna gives complete access to the War World to the Light. Thorn accepts Dani as her protege and successor in the Light.
-Joel begins to organize a rescue of everyone on the War World. His team notices that something is wrong. He holds a big meeting with everyone.
-Vlad begins to cry at the birth of his son. He names his child Jack Masters. Danny approaches Vlad and Vision after they name him godfather. He begins to explain what he's done. He wants their help.
Chapter 22
-Joel leads an attack on the War World. As they find all of the trapped members of Young Justice, Joel turns on the various members of his team. Those like Starfire and Jason remain on his side. The others are captured. Joel then leads the Light to Ace's group. All of the members of Ace's group are captured.
-Danny uses the positive publicity from his work with the Reach to rehab the ghost's reputations. All of the ghosts make a peace treaty at the UN. They want to be treated as a real country. Aquaman's ghost and Changeling (Beast Boy's ghost) make an appearance.
Chapter 23
-Danny is praised by the Light for being its most important members. He's provided everything possible for them. Danny presents a genetically stable Match and a controlled Doomsday.
-Joel completes his ultimate trial to join the League of Shadows. He is forced to kill Black Bat. Ra's accepts Joel as his successor.
-Dani works with Thorn to defeat Johnny 13.
-Vlad agrees to a merger with Lex Corp.
-Luna reveals herself to Jinx. Jinx accepts Luna with love. They both agree that Danny will be a part of the family soon.
Chapter 24
-The Light and the Reach hold a celebration of their victory. At the party, Danny begins to make a speech. He comments on how hard the past few months have been. It's all been worth it, though. Red X steps beside Danny. Red X removes his mask to show that it's Superboy. He had gone into hiding so that Danny could have unlimited access to his genetic code to stabilize Match. All of the various members from Young Justice, Joel's team, and Danny's Suicide Squad attack the celebration.
-Flashbacks are shown to reveal that Danny has been working with Thorn the entire time to take down the Light. Thorn hates the Light for being Youngblood's enemy. She helped fake Superboy's death.
-Flashbacks are shown of Danny revealing his entire plan to Dani and Joel. They agree to help him by pretending to join the Light.
-Flashbacks reveal that Luna had turned the Beetle's control system off. Both Beetles were in complete control the entire time.
-Flashbacks are shown of Dani freeing Young Justice from their prison to explain to them what the plan was and that Danny had never turned evil.
-Flashbacks are shown that Joel planned with his group to fake a betrayal. Black Bat is actually alive. He faked her death.
-The entire Light and Reach are defeated and captured. Only one person managed to escape. Jinx grabbed the key to the War World and teleported away.
Chapter 25
-Jinx uses the War World to hold Earth hostage. She demands that her father be released. All of Danny's allies protect the planet, storm the War World, and push Jinx back.
-Jinx turns into pure energy. She's going to blow everything up. Luna intervenes. She uses her energy absorption to stop the explosion. During the process, she's forced to kill Jinx.
-Danny fights his way through the storm of energy. He grabs Luna's hand. Luna grabs Jinx's hand. They talk as a family. Jinx realizes why she could never be with Danny. Her loyalty remained completely with her father. Jinx warns Luna not to repeat her mistakes. Danny promises to take care of their daughter and help her grow into her own person. Luna breaks down crying when she realizes that she's finally getting to hold both of her parents' hands. They embrace as Jinx fades away into nothing.
Chapter 26
-Joel is in front of a kneeling Ra's. Hundreds of assassin's surround them. Ra's screams his disappointment. Ra's proclaims that Joel will never be a proper leader to the League of Shadows. Flanked by his group, Cheshire, and Sportsmaster, Joel begs to differ. He will never dirty his own hands again. But he won't ever stop someone else from doing what needs to be done. Some might view him as a coward, but this is the path that he has chosen for his sanity. Joel leaves his father. All of the assassin's follow him except for Black Bat and Ravager. The screen fades to black as they begin to beat Ra's to death.
-Convicted of crimes, Lex Luthor is thrown in jail. He's cut off from his finances by Vlad. Vlad takes over Lex Crop and dedicates the company to developing ways to defend from the approaching fight with Apokolips
-Thorn accepts that her obsession is almost complete. Now that her son is gone and the Light is defeated, there's only one more thing to do. She and Johnny 13 embrace as they ascend into the afterlife.
-Dani is made leader of Young Justice by Nightwing. She allows everyone to voice their frustrations. While many show anger at her, they all forgive her for her decisions. If they're going to be heroes, they need to accept that there will be hard times.
-Kid Flash approaches Danny. He reveals his speed force powers. Clockwork left a mission for him. Help Danny ascend to the highest level possible and prevent the anti-life formula from falling into Darkseid's hands.
Chapter 27
-The Reach are banished. The Green Lanterns arrest them. Blue Beetle is at peace.
-Changeling reunites with Young Justice. He's welcomed back into the fold. His obsession is to make a world peaceful enough that he doesn't have to worry about his adopted family again.
-Aquaman's ghost approaches Kaldur. They agree to let Kaldur stay in charge of Atlantis.
-The ghosts join the UN. Vision is the representative. She agrees to document every ghost, create passports for ghosts, and work with the human jails to imprison ghosts alongside mortal criminals.
-Luna is still in mourning. Bart comforts her. They decide to make the best future possible.
-Barbara Gordon becomes Red X. The suit will allow her to use her legs as normal. Damien and Harriet decide that the future is uncertain but that they want to be together. They decide to get married.
-Joel's group is at peace. They are satisfied with what they accomplished. Starfire demands that Joel starts the 'dating' of her. Ace is given life saving surgery due to all of the research done by Danny. Her powers are taken away in the process. Lydia finds peace and ascends. Gizmo and Ace start to date.
-Danny brings Young Justice, Joel's group, and the Suicide Squad into one secret group. They are the Anti-Apokolips efforts of Earth. They're going to stop the coming invasion. Danny holds up Luna's future notebook. Their first efforts are going to be recruiting as many fighters as possible. He uses the rapidly approaching Supergirl as one of their first missions.
Dark Dan Extra Chapter
-For 'Behind Desperation' I planned to have it be completely focused on Dark Dan. I would show what he's been doing over the past few years. He freed General Zod, made an alliance with the other Lantern groups, created a star destabilizer, helped Blackfire become a major power in the universe, and sworn loyalty to Darkseid
Ascension (Final Book)
For this one, I won't go chapter by chapter. This one is harder to remember without notes because it wasn't tied to canon. But I will outline everything that happens in order.
-The story starts off with the arrival of Supergirl. Danny leads a mission involving Superman and Superboy to intercept her. They manage to calm her down and agree to hear the explanation about what happened.
-Dani, Joel, and Luna struggle to find cohesion in the various different groups involved with the Anit-Apokolips mission.
-The Bat family is conflicted by Jason's return. With all of them scattered, Batman tries to bring them back together. Things only get worse when Talia arrives with Damien to seek shelter now that Joel has taken over the League of Shadows.
-Vlad is struggling under the weight of running multiple billion dollar corporations and being a father. He worries that he's not good enough. He's never been the hero of the story. At most, he's been a supporting player on the side of justice.
-Kaldur struggles to be king of Atlantis now that the original Aquaman's ghost is back. He doesn't understand his place. The only time that his life made sense was when he was working with Young Justice.
-Supergirl tries to get used to life on Earth. She struggles on the Kent Farm. Various girls from Young Justice try to befriend her. Unfortunately, the Kryptonian has a superiority complex. This often comes out as digs at Superboy. Danny reveals that he thinks that he can unlock all Kryptonian superpowers for Conner.
-Wally reveals that there's something which is conflicting with his speed force. The original members of Young Justice investigate G. Gordon Godfrey. They discover that he's an Apokolips spy. He's currently investigating a scientist on earth who supposedly discovered the Anti-Life Equation.
-Joel leads a team to Metropolis to kidnap the scientist and keep him safe. They are intercepted by General Zod.
-Supported by Apokolips, Dark Dan leads an attack on Earth to gain all the assets that Darkseid wants. They try to kidnap as many meta-humans as possible. They do manage to kidnap a few of the minor characters. Not going to lie. This was planned so that I don't have to write about them so often.
-Dani fights off Hotep Ra and Morgan Le Fey. Vlad fights back Dark Dan. Danny and many of his friends try to fight back against Darkseid. Joel discovers that he can use his powers to create fake Kryptonite. Weakened, General Zod is defeated before Joel's group.
-The ghosts arrive to push back the Apokolips forces. Ravager, Tempest, and a few members of the Suicide Squad died. During the fighting, Colin Wilkes unleashes his powers with the help of his friend Box Lunch.
-While Apokolips was defeated, Earth has to lick its wounds. Many heroes are hurt. Danny struggles with his powerlessness. Old and feeling his end about to come, Colossus decided to make the final move. He kidnaps Danny, kicks everyone out of the ghost zone, and challenges Danny to put an end to their rivalry. While Danny tries to talk Colossus down, Colossus won't have it. In desperation, Danny realizes that his powers originally came from exposure to the Ghost Zone. Absorbing the ectoplasm from the Ghost Zone, he regains his powers.
-Despite the fact that Danny is happy, Colossus forces him to continue fighting. During the struggle, both of them are able to unlock Ascended ectoplasm to use at will. They each unleash one last attack. Danny defeats Colossus. While not mortally wounded, Colossus has completed his obsession. Colossus thanks Danny for giving him satisfaction at the end. He gives Danny some of his power to use when the time comes.
-The Ghost is destabilized during the right. It begins to fade away. While all the ghosts are safe, there is no way for new ghosts to form now.
-Danny leads a strike force made up of Earth's strongest fighters. They go to Apokolips to confront Darkseid. They find that Dark Dan has betrayed Darkseid. Darkseid dies at Dan's feet. Dan absorbs the power of the Anti-Life Equation. Now with absolute power, he wants to use the formula to bring an end to all life in the universe. Before Danny can have an extended fight with him, Dan reveals that he sent a being known as Starbreaker to destabilize Earth's Sun.
-Earth desperately tries to fight off Starbreaker. Through the combined efforts of everyone, they manage to defeat Starbreaker. Unfortunately, they were too late. The sun destabilized. It will collapse in on itself soon. Torch decides that this is his moment to become a star. He uses all of his power to combine with the Sun and make it healthy once again. Danny comforts Ember as she mourns her brother.
-Everyone decides that they need help to fight Dark Dan and Apokolips. The halfas all agree to use their infamy in the universe to recruit fighters. Luna will journey to the Green Lanterns who are having a war with the yellow and red lanterns. Joel will help Starfire take back her world and empire. Dani will go to the Citadel to gain their support. Vlad will stay on Earth to organize their efforts. Danny will go to New Genesis to recruit the New Gods. They all swear to see each other alive again once this is all over.
-Instead of jumping around, I planned to focus on each halfa's arc. We start with Luna. She helps the Green Lanterns fight back their enemies. During the process, Luna gains access to the Red Lanterns's core. Using her powers and all of her willpower, she changes their emotional power from rage to love. She creates the Pink Lanterns and subdue the Yellow Lanterns. The Green Lanterns agree to help in the fight against Apokolips.
-During Luna's story, Changeling struggles to connect with Miss Martian. They have an arc where Miss Martian reveals all of her pain. Changeling reveals his obsession to make sure that she won't be sad now that he's gone. Miss Martian embraces Changeling and swears to use her mighty powers for good. Changeling ascends in peace.
-Joel helps Starfire retake Tameran. They defeat Blackfire and the evil forces that they brought together. Tameran bows to Starfire in respect. Joel and Starfire discover that Blackfire had secretly loved Starfire the entire time. Hating Starfire was just an act. Seeing the decline of Tameran, Blackfire dedicated her life to becoming the villain, forcing Tameran into Empire status, and keeping Starfire safe until the time came. Starfire calls the now deceased Blackfire a fool and breaks down crying.
-During the battles, Joel fights powerful enemies and unlocks the ability to decay the things that he comes in contact with. His powers triple in strength.
-This is where the Bat family arch comes in. Jason comes to accept his death and his family's role in it. Tim realizes that he's worthy of being called Robin. Nightwing and Barbara fall in love. Black Bat accepts that her parents are gone. Bruce finds peace with his family.
-Dani struggles to be political at the Citadel. They dismiss her at every turn. During fights with Kylstar and Brainiac, Dani unlocks future sight. She uses her powers to defeat her foes, save her allies, and gain political sway over the Citadel.
-Supergirl begins to accept her new place. Superboy feels like a real Kryptonian for the first time. Superman frees the Kryptonians that have been collected by Brainiac. All of the freed Kryptonians want their powers stripped when the war is over. They want normal lives and don't want the temptation of unstoppable power.
-Vlad struggles to balance everything on Earth. He's forced to reveal his identity as a halfa. Through slick political maneuvering and severe words from the heart, he manages to temporarily unite everyone on Earth, even the villains. During the process, he gains the ability to shift into pure ectoplasm and become invulnerable. The world embraces him as a hero. Vision declares him to be an amazing husband and father.
-The remaining ghosts grow to accept their inevitable demise. Dora takes Vision's place as leader. Each ghost swears to actively pursue their obsession now.
-Danny and the All Father clash. Their ideals are completely different. Using the younger generation as allies and fighting with Apokolips, Danny changes the All Father's mind. They become allies.
-Aquaman's ghost sacrifices himself during a battle. He assures Kaldur that everything will be fine. Kaludr can handle anything because he's mentally stronger than anyone. Kaldur gains confidence in himself as a king.
-All parties return to Earth. They organize their fighting forces and make peace before the final battle. All the halfa united as ascended level ghosts. They will lead the charge to the final battle.
-The united forces of the universe arrive on Apokolips. They stand tall against their foes. Raven manages to strip Morgan Le Fey of her powers. The ghosts deal with Hotep Ra. I planned to have a scene where every character gets to shine.
-All of the half confront Dark Dan. Dan reveals that he created a machine to travel the multiverse. Once he's done with this universe, he will keep going and destroying everything in his path. The halfas manage to fight him to a standstill. Dan unleashes the power of the Anti-Life Equation. Everyone in the universe is under Dan's control. Except for Danny.
-Danny fights the Ultimate Enemy one last time. Their fight destroys most of Apokolips. Right when Danny is about to lose, he releases that ectoplasm itself is his power. It bows to him instead of Dan because Dan is fully ghost. Using his status as the person who actually defeated the Ghost King, Danny takes control over the ring and crown. He gains unstoppable power, kills Dark Dan, and frees the universe.
-Swearing to never be like his dark self, Danny places limits on his powers. He creates tools to stop him and gives them to different people throughout the galaxy. No power should ever be unmatched.
-Everyone returns to their home to enjoy their peace. Danny comments that he's ready to enjoy a peaceful life. Ember reveals that he shouldn't get too comfortable. She's pregnant.
Epilogue
-Danny and Ember eventually have three children. Madeline, Trevor, and Delilah. Madeline is a technical genius. Trevor is the wild child. Delilah is the quiet, artistic one.
-Dani becomes the leader of the Justice League. She ushers in a year of peace on Earth and throughout the universe.
-Joel rules with Starfire on Tameran. He has given control over the League of Shadows to the Bat family. Bruce changed the organization to Batman Inc. Joel feels completely at peace for the first time in his life.
-Luna leads the Pink Lanterns. She and the Green Lanterns as ideal police for the universe.
-Vlad and Vision have another child named Daniel. Everyone is confused. They delight in trolling people into their old age. Vlad is finally completely satisfied with his life. He never has to use his powers again.
-Damien and Harriet marry. They decide to never let Valerie's memory fade.
-Wally and Artemis live a fun life traveling the world. They decide to remain childless. They don't think that they can handle a perfect mixture of their personalities.
-Miss Martian and Superboy never marry but do remain together. They have many children with odd powers. They have never been happier.
-The Bat family fights organized crime fighting around the world. They also support thousands of orphanages around the world.
-The Super family often visits new Krypton. But their home is Earth. Supergirl is happy.
-Dora the Dragon eventually ascends after reaching a high political position and being respected despite her gender.
-Harm reached peace as he meditates in prison for the rest of his life.
-Colin and Box Lunch grow up to be heroes.
-Bart eventually becomes the new Flash.
-Politics on the Citadel have reformed.
-The New Gods become far less arrogant.
-All the ghosts eventually find peace and move on to the afterlife. All that is left is the halfas.
-The Sun's name is officially changed to Torch.
-Kaldur meets with his father. Black Manta says that he's proud of his son. Kaldur creates a golden age for Atalntis. He eventually finds love again.
-Blue Beetle becomes one of the most famous heroes to ever live. His Scarab is happy.
-Gear comes out. Static says that he knew Gear's sexuality all along. It doesn't change anything between them.
-Gizmo and Ace live to old age. They're both grumpy and happy. The Royal Flush Gang became a hero group.
-Vandal Savage finds satisfaction in that his actions did create a new age for Earth. He and all the other villains remain in jail.
-Slowly, the characters start to die off. Joel's the first to go. He dies as a beloved and pacifistic emperor. Vlad lives to an old age. He dies surrounded by family. Vision immediately ascends afterwards. She's one of the last ghosts to leave for the true afterlife. Only Ember remains. Dani is given a ceremony to be recognized as one of the greatest heroes to ever live. Luna allows her core to be the power source for the Pink Lanterns for the rest of Eternity. As for Danny…

"Don't you want to go back to your party, Super Papa?" Daniel Vladamire Fenton questioned as he helped his aged ancestry across the grass. The fourteen year old boy didn't struggle to move the fully grown man. His Super Papa had been thin and frail.
"In a minute, I need a quiet place to rest," Danny J. Fenton had grown old. Despite being a halfa, his human side had caught up to him. His limbs had become rail thin. He had lost most of the coloring in his skin. Wrinkles covered his face like a road map. Most of his white hair had fallen out. Nowadays, the only difference between his human and ghost sides were the eye colors. "Put me down under that tree."
D.V. put his great great grandfather on the ground next to a shaded tree. Danny groaned as he leaned back against the bark. His old body ached in pain, "Thank you."
"No problem," D.V. looked across the park to see hundreds of people at the birthday party. "Do you need anything?"
"No. I'm fine," Danny ignored how his chest ached in pain. He couldn't move his left arm. Turning his dulling blue eyes, Danny looked at his youngest descendant. D.V. looked so much like him when he was a boy. The teenager had a longer face and was a bit taller, but the resemblance was still there. "Go tell your mother that I'll be over here for a bit. Come get me when it's time for cake."
"You got it," D.V. smiled. He turned to run across the park.
A woman stepped out from behind the tree. She stood next to Danny. Watching the teenager go, she commented, "He's a good kid."
"He is," Danny felt short of breath. The light slowly began to fade from his eyes. "It took you long enough."
Death smiled down at Danny, "I don't choose when you're taken."
"Well, whoever does choose should have sped it up," Danny huffed. "I haven't seen my wife for twenty years."
"She was satisfied," Death shrugged.
"And I wasn't?" Danny grumbled.
"No. Not yet. Not until you were sure that D.V. could handle the name that he's going to inherit," Death noted.
"I see," Danny looked at her with glassy eyes. "Will it be easier on him?"
"Life is never easy," Death mentioned. "But he won't ever have to face a Dark Dan."
"Good," Danny turned to look at his large family. His mind flashed back to the people he lost long ago. "Do you think that my old family and friends would be proud of how I lived my life?"
Death held out a hand to him, "Why don't you ask them yourself?"
Danny happily took the hand of his old friend. All of the pain left him as his spirit left his body. His soul deaged close to one hundred years, "Will you stay with me until I see them?"
"Always, Danny. Not just with you. With everyone. Remember. I'm not a curse. I'm a gift. The gift of peace."

"Super Papa!" D.V. rushed to what looked like the sleeping form of his great, great grandfather. "It's cake time! Come on! You have to blow out your candles."
Danny did not answer. His head was rolled to the side. A gentle smile had spread across his face. Sighing, D.V. leaned down to shake the old man's shoulder. It was always so hard to wake Danny up. To D.V.'s shock, Danny's eyes did not flutter open. Instead, his entire body tumbled to the side. It looked as if his body was a puppet which got its strings cut.
D.V.'s face twisted in horror. He let out a surprised yell. Everyone at the party behind him froze. They all turned to see Danny lying on the ground. All of the members of the Fenton family charged to check on their patriarch. Each of them already knew the truth, though. Their leader was gone. Tears rushed down their faces. While sad, they were also happy. Danny Fenton had completed his obsession and found peace.

"Phantom 30!" an android with blonde hair ran into the Hall of Heroes Past. The robot had green skin and was wearing a purple jumpsuit. "There's an emergency! The entire Legion is getting called in! Vandal Savage escaped prison again!"
"Okay," a white haired teenage boy did not look away from the statue. He was a thin young man covered in a black and white jumpsuit. His green eyes flashed with power. "I'll be there in a second, Brainiac 5."
"Unfortunately, there is no time! Come! Bouncing Boy is waiting for us!" Brainiac 5 turned to run out of the room filled with statues. "Come on!"
Phantom 30 stared at the statue of the original Danny Phantom for a moment longer. The name Phantom was a big title to have. He would need to work extra hard to be remembered like the five original halfas. Turning, he left the group of five statues behind him. It was time to get to work. It's what they would have wanted.

And that's it. I wanted to at least write that ending. It's what I dreamed of since the start. I've always found that having a vision of the ending makes writing easier. I'm sorry that I couldn't get the full story out. Unfortunately, there comes a time for every hobby to come to an end. I want writing to be a career for me. My previous attempts didn't work, but this time I'm dedicated.

Without my writing, I don't think that my wife and I would have ever fallen in love. My story Dragon Skin was the catalyst to our relationship. And I never would have written Dragon Skin if it wasn't for fanfiction.
