Disclaimers – I do not own any of these characters. Post Season 2, so spoilers, possibly very AU and OOC. Also, I haven't read any of the light novels, so this is completely based on the anime only.
Important Info: I love Rimuru's human form way more than his slime form, so he's basically in his human form throughout my entire story. Also, Rimuru is technically genderless, but still seems to refer to himself as a male due to his previous life, so that's what I'm gonna do.

Chapter 2
Rimuru opens his eyes and finds they are standing in a corridor made of…crystal? No, ice. He realizes that this must have been what Veldora meant when he said Guy lives in the North.
Can't get much more North than this. I wonder how they managed to make it so warm inside without melting the ice. He thinks, absently. He doesn't get much time to ogle though, "Come." Guy…asks? It's not really a demand, but it's not quite a question either.
He realizes that Guy had his arms out. Rimuru wraps his arm around Guys elbow and lets him guide him. "How about a tour?" Guy asks.
Rimuru only smiles in response.
"First the little game a Walpurgis, then you tell no one of my arrival. Do you like messing with people or just me?"
Rimuru chuckles. "Just people in general. What' the harm in a little innocent fun? Besides, I saw how you acted in front of my generals."
"Ha, you got me. It's been a long time since I've had fun like this. The others are so boring. Now, shall we?"
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
It's an amazing castle. Aside from the fact that it's made from ice, it's huge and has literally everything you would need. Well, almost everything.
"Have you ever thought of make a hot spring here?" He can't resist asking, it really is one of his favorite ways to relax. As soon as they had the manpower and craftsman, he had one build in Tempest right away.
"Hmm? I'm afraid not. I'm assuming you have some ideas though?" Guy guided him to the kitchen where they grabbed some snacks to eat on the balcony (1) while they discussed the addition of a hot springs.
There were only two important places he can think of that they haven't been to yet. The first is the throne room which makes Rimuru chuckle. Rimuru may have a big meeting room, but he does not see the need for a throne.
"Is this necessary?" He gestures to the extravagant room.
"Of course. How else will I intimidate my visitors?" Ironically, his first thought is you get visitors way out here? But he thinks to his first time in the dwarfs' kingdom.
"Hmm, I guess so, but I doubt you need help intimidating people."
Its Guy's turn to laugh. "Do I intimidate you, Rimuru?" They stop walking and Guy turns to look at him.
Rimuru takes a moment to think about it. The first time he saw Guy, yes, he was intimidated. It was easy to see how much more powerful Guy was than him and, not knowing what kind of man he was, meant that he was completely unpredictable which makes him all the more dangerous. But now…
"Not really."
"Oh?" He doesn't know which one of them is more surprised by the answer. Guy who has been automatically feared for so long or Rimuru who has only meet Guy twice and knows the man next to him could easily kill him. "Why not?"
"Do you want me to fear you?"
"You didn't answer my question." Guy says.
"You didn't answer mine either." Rimuru counters.
Guy smirks. "How about a little completion then? Loser has to answer."
"Depends, what kinda of game are we talking about?" If it was a test of strength, Guy defiantly had an unfair advantage. Did he intend to test Rimuru's abilities?
"I'll let you choose." Oh? He wanted to pick something that was fair for both of them. It needs to be something random, based more on luck than anything.
"Okay. We'll play rock, paper, scissors." Guy blinks. Then laughs.
"I was not expecting that. Alright, on the count of 3?" He was really gonna do it? Right here, in the middle of the throne room? Two Demon Lords facing off with a child's game.
"Yeah, and no cheating. No thought acceleration or anything. Ready? One…"
"Two."
"Three." They say together. Rimuru had paper, Guy had rock.
"Well," Guy started, "I guess I have to think of an answer now." He didn't already have one? "Come on. There's another place I want to show you, I'll think about it on the way."
Meanwhile
Several of them panicked when their lord disappeared along with Guy Crimson. Veldora seemed the least concerned.
"Shion," Benimaru called. "When will they be back?"
"Uhh, well, you see, back at Walpurgis, Guy said they would be gone the whole weekend."
"HUH?!" It's Friday morning! Is a date supposed to take three days?
"What's the big idea?" Veldora asks. "Guy won't do anything stupid. Besides, Rimuru can always call me of something happens." He puffs out his chest in confidence.
"Even so, we didn't plan for him to suddenly be gone, what about running the town and the paperwork?" Shuna asks.
"Shion!" Benimaru calls again. "You will do all the paperwork."
"Huh?! Why me?!"
"Because this is your fault." He argued childishly.
"Ahh, but!"
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
It was a ball room. Not exactly what Rimuru had been thinking of when Guy had said he wanted to show him something. The ceiling was high and had a chandler handing from it. It seemed to the one of the few rooms that was not naturally ice blue as the walls were pure white and there seemed to be a wood floor. There were several great arches along the walls with massive stained glass windows in place. The images in the windows showcases dancers in various positions.
"Would you dance with me?" Guy holds out his hand.
"Oh! Umm, I don't really know how to dance." Even so, Rimuru finds himself already stepping closer. He can practically hear the cliché line already.
"Don't worry, I'll teach you." Yep, there it was. Rimuru smiles anyway and takes his hand. He places his right hand on Guy's shoulder and feels and hand on his hip. Guy pulls him close and suddenly there's music.
"Did you plan this?" They start a slow spin with simple steps.
"Guilty."
"You're not really teaching me." As if on cue, Rimuru accidently steps on Guy's toes. "Oh, umm…" He tried to look down as his feet, but Guy pulls them chest to chest and he can't see. It's a little awkward and Guy slides his hand up Rimuru's back for a more comfortable position.
"Lesson one," he whispers, "Don't look down." Rimuru gives him a flat look. "Lesson two," he moves them a little faster, causing Rimuru to overcompensate and step on his toes again. "It's okay to mess up, just keep going and don't make it obvious."
"And lesson three?" Rimuru whispers back, leaning in. Their noses bump.
"The most important part is the twirl." Rimuru hardly has time to raise an eyebrow before Guy takes a small step back and raises their joined hands. Rimuru humors him and goes with it. When he is pulled back in, he doesn't expect Guy to put a little extra force into it and let's go of his hand. Instead of spinning into his arms like planned, Rimuru ends up stumbling forward. On instinct, Rimuru winds his arms around Guys neck as Guy catches him, places both hands on Rimuru's back, and pivots, essentially dipping Rimuru backwards.
They stay there a moment before Guy pulls him up. They are not dancing anymore, just standing there in each other's arms.
"I don't think that's how you're supposed to do a twirl." Guy laughs and leans forward, kissing him gently. It doesn't last long, and neither both trying to deepen the kiss. It's nice to have a normal kiss, not one that is just a prelude to sex or meant to mess around with the people watching.
They stay like that for a while. Kind of dancing and sometimes kissing. Rimuru has all but forgotten about their deal until Guy pulls away with a somber look. "…It's hard to say. It's not like I can claim that no one treats me as a person because of my power. Plenty of the other Demon Lords treat me like a normal person, but… it wasn't always like that. It took time to get there. You, though, you were intimidated by me, you could tell I was stronger than you, but you didn't flitch. Instead, you stole my barrier technique, kissed me back, and even dared to insult me, even though I know that last one was part of your little act."
Woah. Rimuru wasn't exactly expecting some honest, deep, emotional response from his question. They have only know known each other for a week after all.
He won at rock, paper, scissors, but Rimuru decides to answer his question anyway. "It's this." Guy looks confused. "This is why I'm not afraid of you. You attitude, actions, personality. It all tells me that you're kind and considerate and a total softie." He gets a little laugh for that one. "I mean, you could just be a really, really good actors, but… I doubt you would have that look in your eyes if this was just as act."
Guy doesn't respond. They dance a little longer and Rimuru begins to feel a little awkward. Not because their heart to heart was awkward or anything. In fact, he feels comfortable. And that thought is what makes it awkward. Why does he feel so clam in his arms? Content despite being in a foreign place, far away from his home and his friends. It's strange.
"There's one other place I was hoping we would go." The first had been the throne room, but he was a little afraid to ask for the second. It was kinda personal, but then again, they seem to already be getting pretty personal.
Guy seems to know what he's thinking. "My room."
lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
So maybe they got a little side-tracked on the way to Guy's room. After remembering that they are practically in the Northern Artic, Rimuru asked how they had fresh foods which is why they are now standing in what is effectively the roof of the castle.
The entire platform is almost like one big forest. Rimuru glances past the towering, lush trees to see magic circle on the dome like barrier, presumably to provide artificial light when necessary and protect them from the harsh weather.
Rimuru forgets what he is about to say when he realizes it's not just an overgrown garden. Listening carefully, he can make out the sounds of chirping birds, the buzz of a bug's wings, and rushing water. It seems to be a legitimate forest, complete with plants, animals, and bugs. Rimuru can even see a few worms wriggling in the soil.
"It's nice, right?" Rimuru is startled out of his thoughts. He turns to the left to find a dark purple haired girl in gardening clothes. She's not much taller than him. She doesn't seem to be a threat, but he can sense that she is decently powerful demon. "There are other sections too. Do you wanna see?"
He looks at her questioningly, not exactly sure what she is referring to, but she has already turned and started walking away. As he follows, she beings to give him a breakdown of the garden. "This whale area is actually broken up into several sections. Of course, this is the forest section. Lord Guy thought it would be good to have natural wildlife instead of just a traditional farm. Overtime, he expanded the area to include sections such as a flower garden and a place for free range farm animals."
Rimuru realized they were heading towards the river which seemed to act as a natural line to separate the forest area from the others. He turned to find Guy was no longer with them.
"Umm, excuse me, does this cover the entire castle? I know the castle is big, but just this forest alone seems too much."
"Oh, no no no. You see, the castle was basically built next to a cliff. We are high enough that the roof is level with the top of the cliff and so the gardens extend onto that area as weeeeellll!" Just as the girl finished her sentence, she trips on a branch. Rimuru, who was following several steps behind, manages to catch her are and save her from face planting. Unfortunately, the clip board she is holding falls straight into the rushing water.
"Ahh, Thanks- Oh no my stuff! Oh, I am so sorry- Oh, I hope Lord Guy won't be upset about the clip board. I'm such as klutz, thanks again." She cuts herself off multiple times and ends up jumbling her sentences together.
"Haha, right, it's no problem, as long as you're okay. I'm sure he won't be mad about something like that. Umm, Ms..?"
"Oh! Miki. My names Miki." She stands abruptly and holds out her hand.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Rimuru." He shakes her hand, but she suddenly pulls away as if burned by her touch.
"On my goodness. You're Lord Rimuru! I am so sorry." She begins to apologize over and over, bowing at her waist. "I didn't know it was you-"
"Wow, wow. It's totally cool." He holds his hand up in a poor attempt to calm her down. "And please, just call me Rimuru."
"No, I can't! Oh, that's why Lord Guy was here! And I lead you away from him! Oh, he was so excited for your visit. I'm so sorry!" She continues to panic.
I get she wouldn't recognize me, but who else could I be? I doubt they get a lot of visitors. He doesn't voice his thoughts, not wanting to upset her further. "Please, don't worry. It's perfectly understandable, I'm the one who wandered off and started asking questions. Wait- what about Guy?"
She finally stops bowing and catches her breath. "Hey, umm, you said something about Guy being excited. Could you tell me about that?"
Notes: (1) You know the indoor balcony where Guy and Leon talked?
(2) I know all of Guy's subordinates are supposed to be strong and serious, but I needed to add a little humor, plus no romance is complete without dumb interruptions and crappy antagonists
Okay, chapter two done! Please tell me how if you liked it and if you have any suggestions. Thank you to everyone who commented on Chapter 1. Look forward to Chapter 3 where we finally see Guy's side of things and how he acted in the week leading up to their date.
