To answer some reviewers before getting to the chapter: Expect more dinosaurs, prehistoric animals, magical creatures and magic as the story goes on. There will be more of a crossing of both worlds as this goes along. Planning wise, don't expect to see events of Jurassic Park until about chapter 11, and then there will be much more after that. This may turn into a 30+ chapter project. So, I hope you sit back, enjoy the ride, and look out for those creatures with lots of teeth.

Chapter 4
-oOo-
March 24, 1993
Isla Nublar, Costa Rica
Harry was sitting in an office off the control room. His leg was nervously bouncing up and down as rapidly as he could make it. There was a large, curved box above the computer with a video camera in the centre of it. Harry had to admit that he knew nothing about technology since his relatives didn't let him use any and nothing electrical had worked at Hogwarts. He also knew nothing about computers since Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon didn't have one, and the two they had gotten Dudley were broken or in his room: a place he was strictly forbidden from entering.
"I just do what?" Harry asked Mr. Arnold.
"Click on that icon with the camcorder. That's it. Then go to file and click connect. That sticky note has the IP you need to type in," he told Harry.
Harry looked totally confused.
Seeing this, the man leaned over him. Harry crinkled his nose as the man smelt like an ashtray. Mr. Arnold used his hand to click on the tip of the mouse a few times, ran his hands over the keyboard, numbers and dots appearing faster than Harry could really take in, then he moved the arrow across the screen to click a small box that said 'OK'.
"Geez, Harry. I thought everyone your age was better at computers than me," Mr. Arnold grumbled.
"This is the first time I've ever used one," Harry said back irritated.
Mr. Arnold gave him a disbelieving look.
Neither of them said anything else when another irritated voice came over the speakers next to the monitor. "You said I would be able to talk and see Harry," a man said. He didn't sound as strong as usual, but Harry knew that voice.
"SIRIUS!" Harry exclaimed, seeing the picture of his godfather in a hospital bed with some tubes and wires still attached to him.
The man smiled. "It's like magic," his godfather commented.
Harry gave a watery laugh. "You idiot," Harry admonished with some care in his voice.
Sirius looked like he had not been well for a bit but was now recovering. Chuckling, then wincing, Sirius said, "I think your mum said the same thing in just the same tone to me and James a few times we hurt ourselves. How are you, pup?"
Harry felt as though he wanted to break down. He had really thought he had lost Sirius and that everyone here had just been lying to him. It was that hope that had helped him through, though. "Bril. You?"
"Been better," the man said. "The doctors said I've finally come round the twist and might be good to leave some point next week."
Harry's smile grew. "That's good to hear. I need you to get better," Harry said, surprising himself he would admit that. There was an understanding on his godfather's face. As far as Harry knew, they were all that was left of all their friends and the few he considered family. Harry wasn't sure how he would take it if he lost Sirius.
"I promise I will come out where you are as soon as I can," Sirius told him. Harry nodded. "So, what is this I hear about you being on some type of dragon preserve? I can't understand why the Aurors haven't come to get you yet if you have been doing as much, ah, tricks as you have."
Harry chuckled. "Oh, I can't tell you how many tricks they have me doing, but Mr. Hammond, Sir Lockwood and Mr. Muldoon have been treating me well. I'll have to show you all the dragons when you get here. Some are bigger than the one I flew with before."
Sirius eyes grew a little wide. "Really? I hope you are staying out of trouble then?"
"Do I ever get into trouble," Harry responded, getting a laugh from Sirius and then a wince. Harry saw his hand go to his chest.
"Maybe we should keep the jokes down for now," his godfather suggested, a pained expression across his face.
"I didn't mean to hurt you," Harry said, really concerned.
Sirius waved him off. "It's not much. Seeing you makes me feel much better."
"Me too," Harry said a little lowly.
"They told me about Hermione," Sirius said more seriously.
Harry's expression drooped. "Yeah. She's thirteen now and going to private school just outside London. She's safe though, Sirius," Harry said significantly.
"So, I hear. I gave Hammond's men some other names of people we might know. He is having people investigate it," Sirius replied.
Harry nodded. "I just want them all to be okay."
"I know, pup." They were silent for a few. "So, what is it like living around all the dragons?"
Harry perked up some, starting to tell Sirius about what he had been up too. He had been told this was a private video link and everyone working with Sirius at the hospital at the InGen compound outside of El Roble knew about Jurassic Park, so Harry didn't have to really hide anything. It was the first time in his life that he was able to tell an adult about his day like this, and the adult wanted to know.

April 10, 1993
Isla Nublar, Costa Rica
"Can you do that again?" Dr Rogers asked.
Harry was getting tired. They had been on this cliff for a while with all these electrodes attached all over his body and some silly looking ring thing that he had been sending spells through for a while. Dr Gim was giddy with whatever her readings were telling her.
"If you need a break, Harry, we can call it for a bit," Sir Lockwood said.
"Let's just get this done," Harry snapped.
"Oh, there was a power spike there," Dr Rogers said.
"I caught it on the induction ring," Dr Gim affirmed.
They were out here after they had asked Harry to show his most destructive spell. He had warned them that the lab wasn't the place for it, but Dr Gim had pressed until Harry had grabbed his wand from whatever thing she had it in and pointed it at the table. "Bombarda!" he commanded his magic. The table, the instrument and a computer were reduced to dust and bits, with Dr Gim and two assistants being flung back. Luckily no one had really been hurt, but the fire extinguishing system had been set off. He had glared at the woman before storming out of the lab.
Hammond had been on the island at the time and from what Harry heard had laid into Lockwood and his team about pushing him too hard, before Hammond came to find Harry himself. After a long talk, Harry had agreed to do more tests as long as they agreed to stop when he was done or said 'no'. Lockwood had been having to play referee a few times today when Dr Roberts or Gim pressed him.
This afternoon he was going to be spending some time with Dr Bones and Papplewick. They were nicer, easier to get along with as they talked him through what they were doing and seemed to actually talk to him, instead of just telling him. There tests were also far less intrusive or destructive.
"Again, Mr. Potter," Dr Gim demanded.
He narrowed his eyes. He had yet to really give them his best, or even a quarter of what he could do, starting to become more worried with what they were asking him to do. His annoyance at the woman was just a little too much though. "Bombarda Maxima!" he cried out, pouring all his frustration and anger into his wand. The ball of white light that left his wand and the power crackling through is body, suddenly had all the electronics around him crackling, popping and arcing with electricity. Harry watched as the ball of light sailed out over the ocean. It must have run almost three hundred yards before it finally dissipated.
Harry grabbed the wires and tore them off his body. "I'm done," he told them.
Dr Roberts was just staring at him, his eyes wide and not really breathing. Dr Gim was crying out about having to save her equipment as smoke started to come out of the box the ring they was connected to. Lockwood had wide eyes, but didn't look scared, like Dr Roberts did. "I'm walking back to the Visitor Center for lunch."
"Of course, Harry," Sir Lockwood replied. Harry nodded, but before he could walk away, Lockwood asked. "How much were you holding back before?"
Harry looked into the man's eyes. "Who says I'm not still?"
Lockwood nodded after a moment.
"Muldoon really doesn't recommend us to walk until the dilophosaurus paddock is finally done," the tall man in fatigues said, falling in beside him as Harry stalked away. Benson had started to cycle out with Yvonne and Ericks.
"They haven't taken them over from Isla Sorna yet. Is Muldoon concerned they will swim the sixty-five miles, or whatever it is, to get here?" Harry asked. He really liked Muldoon, but the man was sounding more paranoid each day. Harry snorted as he thought that he may like the Warden so much because he reminded him of Moody.
"No, but they do have to shut off some of the other fences at times as the construction goes on," Benson said.
Harry huffed. "If I want to walk, I'm going to walk," Harry told him. "I have my tranq gun, my wand and if you don't think I couldn't blast a hole in Romilda if she charged me then you are mistaken."
The man gave him a look out of the side of his eye but didn't say anything as they made the almost twenty-minute walk from the West Docks to the Visitor Centre. When they got there, Harry made straight for the employee cafeteria. After getting his lunch, he sat heavily with most of the other guards. With no one else his age, and not really spending much time with the scientists or engineers here, outside the veterinarian staff, Harry didn't really have anywhere else to sit, unless he wanted to sit alone.
"What has your knickers in a twist," Yvonne asked.
Harry huffed. "Nothing."
"Gim was pushing him again," Benson provided.
Yvonne frowned. Half the people around the table didn't look as pleased. In the few weeks he had been here, most of the security force had adopted him as their own. Harry just sat there eating. He was hungry with how much he had used his magic today. It had been the most he had in weeks.
"I'll be back in a few," Yvonne said, getting up and taking half of her uneaten lunch to the rubbish bin.
"So, Juventus is playing Paris Saint-Germain tomorrow," the Australian born Cummins said.
"I am not going to the bar to drink and watch some pansy soccer," Ericks stated, which started some fun ribbing between most of them.
Harry didn't really say anything. Except for his frequent trips to see the dinosaurs and work with some of the veterinarian staff, Harry was starting to feel caged and like a lab rat. He knew that was not what Mr. Hammond wanted for him, but he was. The fact that Sirius still hadn't been released, even though the doctors kept saying any day now, was also starting to get to him. Sirius must still be hurt more than they were telling him, and he was feeling frustrated that he was being lied too. He missed his lip curling a little to see Dr Gim enter the room. She looked very upset. Two weeks in a row now Harry had destroyed her stuff.
Looking up at the clock, Harry still had another half hour before he was going to meet Dr Bones. Getting up, Benson stood. "Merlin! I can't even go anywhere in the compound without a babysitter," he exclaimed, really feeling like he just needed some alone time.
Most around them stopped talking to look at him. Harry felt the resentment, like they were looking at him like they were all children at school, pour through him.
He didn't wait to see Benson follow as he stormed out of the cafeteria. He made it outside as fast as he could. Not really having anywhere else to go, he went to the overlook. Once there, he put his head on his folded arms. It had been like this all year. His temper always seemed so close to the surface. It had seemed to get better for the first week or so, but now it was happening again.
He really missed Hermione and Ron. Neville and Luna were starting to become good friends. He missed flying his broom. Most of all, he just missed having someone around to talk to. As time went on, the reality of not having his two best friends was getting harder. Not knowing if they had survived or not was eating at him. It was something he was always going to have to live with because he had no clue how to get back, and without the distractions of his friends, he found himself thinking and analysing things far more than he ever had.
The sound of footsteps on the metal stairs had him groan. "Can I just have a while more?"
It was the metallic clink of a cane bottom on the metal floor that had Harry moved his head to look under his arms and body. Mr. Hammond was walking over to him. The man didn't say a word, having a more serious look on his face. "Don't get up on my account," he told Harry.
Harry snorted and positioned himself to have his chin on his arms as he leaned over the rail. "I'm sorry, Mr. Hammond. I didn't mean to upset Sir Lockwood or the others," Harry said, having developed a fondness for the man.
"No, I should apologize. You are a very composed man overall, Harry," Mr. Hammond said. "You act much older than your age most of the time."
Harry snorted. "I don't think anyone has treated me so much like an adult until the last few weeks," Harry replied.
"You are still a fifteen-year-old boy," Mr. Hammond said. "My eldest granddaughter, Alexis, is the same age. She turns sixteen next weekend. Your birthday is at the end of July?"
Harry let out an amused breath. "I guess."
"You guess? I remember looking forward to every birthday until I was about twenty-five," the man commented.
Harry didn't say anything. Birthdays were nothing special to him, only ever having received a cake once on his actual birthday, and never having celebrated it with anyone but his uncaring relatives.
"I suppose you are actually closer to sixteen now than in July."
"Probably," Harry agreed.
Mr. Hammond turned his attention to him. "I have word Mr. Black will be released tomorrow and I will have him flown out here tomorrow night."
"Really?" Harry asked, perking up and lifting his head to look the older man in his eyes.
"I can promise you that. I also want you to accompany me back to Washington D.C. next weekend. Your babysitters mentioned you could use some time off this island and with some people your own age," Mr. Hammond told him.
"I didn't mean to call them my babysitters. I don't have a passport or papers or anything. I also can't leave Sirius if he is going to be here," Harry told him.
"Sirius is still recovering and will be in a wheelchair for another few weeks. My doctors have told me they expect him to make a full recovery by the end of June."
A smiled came to Harry's face. "He's going to hate that."
Mr. Hammond chuckled. "Yes, it is a good thing I pay so well. I have heard the man is driving them quite mental. He has missed you."
"I miss him too," Harry said. It was unsaid how much he was missing everyone.
"If you need the rest of the day, take it off. Benjamin will understand. He is rather like me. When something new and shiny comes along, he wants to play with it," Mr. Hammond said.
"And what happens when you get bored with me?" Harry asked.
"I don't think that is possible. This is a dream come true that I find something new every day. We are still a year away from opening, but I can't wait to see all the excited faces when people see the spectacle we have here, Harry. I want to hear the happy squeals of a child the first time they see what we have created here. I miss that sound from my own children."
Harry questioned, "What about your grandchildren?"
"My daughters' kids are a little older now. As I told you, Alexis turns sixteen next weekend, her brother Timothy is eleven. My son has never gotten married or had any children," Mr. Hammond answered.
"Do either of them work with you?"
"I would have liked them too, but neither of them wanted to live the lifestyle I do at times," the man said, sounding a little sad about it.
Harry looked out at the valley. "If I had a grandfather and he wanted me to be involved in all this, I would be begging for a job here."
Harry didn't see the curious look the man gave him. "From what I have seen, and what I hear, you will always have a job offer here, Harry. This week I finally want to have someone sit down with you and figure out your education. Oh, and as far as a passport, you are a resident of Costa Rica and you and your godfather will have all the paperwork you need this week. Should I tell Benjamin you need the rest of the day off?"
Harry let out a long breath. "No. I like Dr Bones. She says she had a daughter Susan that she talked about."
"A former classmate?"
"Something like that," Harry replied.
Mr. Hammond patted his back. "I'll get your babysitters to back off some and get you a badge to get into the areas you need. No more walking the roads until Muldoon says its safe."
"Yes, sir," he replied. He would do his best to keep his word.

April 11, 1993
Isla Nublar, Costa Rica
Harry was rocking on his feet. He had come out to the helipad with Dr Rose and the two nurses. Yvonne and Ericks were with him only as drivers and escorts, especially after the construction teams on the dilophosaurus paddock had knocked out some of the other fences electricity for about ten minutes. None of the dinosaurs had escaped, but everyone was being very cautious until that was done in another week or two.
For now, the medium-sized therapods, as Harry was becoming to know many of the terms for the dinosaurs, where in cages on Isla Sorna. Harry had no clue that the camera systems between the two islands could be accessed from both islands. Mr. Arnold had explained that InGen had lain the first underwater fibreoptic network in the world between the two islands and the mainland.
Once all the bugs were out of the system, they would be able to control Jurassic Park and the main research facilities on Isla Sorna from any of the three InGen sites. Once done, the supercomputer banks at all three sites would be able to communicate with each other. It was a point that Mr. Arnold and Hammond were hounding Nedry and his team to accomplish, since they were almost six months behind schedule now.
At least all the main functions on Jurassic Park were working. Harry just wished he understood more about it. The education at Hogwarts and living with the Dursley's had prepared him rather poorly to live in the Muggle world as an older teen or a young adult. That was a point that Mr. Hammond was going to address with tutors coming out to the island after they got back from their trip to Washington D.C.
That was something he was looking forward too, but not the reason he was rocking on his feet.
The approaching helicopter was.
Yvonne chuckled. "I've not seen you this restless before."
Harry shrugged.
Standing back, they watched the helicopter come in quick and then drop. Harry knew there was a small airstrip on the west of the island, and two other helipads around the island that were easier to access, but this one was the closest to the Visitor Compound, which was the heart of the island.
Once on the landing pad, Dr Rose and the nurses moved in as a man got out of the helicopter. Harry moved in, ducking his head. When the man opened the door, a smiling Sirius was already moving to get out. Sirius was looking healthier than he could ever remember seeing him, even his face was still a little pale. Dressed in cargo pants, a button-down cotton shirt and holding a hat, Sirius also looked more Muggle than Harry had ever seen him.
Harry didn't care that he had been told to stand back. He rushed to the man and hugged him. Harry knew it wasn't how he would normally greet people, but he really was feeling lonely and was genuinely pleased to see his godfather.
"It's good to see you, Harry," Sirius said.
"I missed you," Harry said back.
The man hugged him tighter before Dr Rose yelled over the chopper, "Harry, we need to get him off the helicopter."
Harry backed up and helped where he could. Sirius was able to move and walk to the jeeps with a little help, but it was obvious he was still weak and recovering. They got him comfortable in the back of one of the jeeps and Harry sat next to him.
The helicopter took off as Dr Rose looked over them one last time. "Do you feel comfortable, Mr. Black?"
"Call me Sirius," the man told the woman, a smile on his face. Harry tried not to roll his eyes. He knew Sirius had been giving all the nurses and female doctors a hard time on the mainland, and he looked to be already eyeing the buxom woman. Harry guessed Dr Rose was pretty, with her braided brown hair, hazel eyes and slim waste, but she had to be close to forty, and Harry wasn't really into older woman like that.
Dr Rose didn't look impressed though. "I'll take that as a yes, Mr. Black."
Sirius didn't look put off though. Harry thought he saw the light of a challenge in the man's eyes.
"So, this is where you've been playing the last month? Doesn't look that impressive," Sirius commented, looking at the high rain forest covered cliffs and the waterfall near the helipad.
Harry gave a huge grin. "Just wait until you see what I have been playing with," Harry replied cheekily. The man laughed to see Harry look so happy, like a young child that just discovered something brilliant.
"We will take it easy back to the park," Yvonne said.
"What's a beautiful woman like yourself acting as a chauffeur," Sirius asked, looking over at Yvonne. Yvonne acted like she didn't hear him as she started the jeep going.
"Can we go by the Valley?" Harry yelled over his shoulder to Yvonne.
"We really should get to the clinic," Dr Rose yelled back.
"I hear they are doing work on the main access road. We may have to take a detour," Yvonne said back, the three of them that had been on the island knowing that no such thing was going on since they had come that way.
Harry gave a huge smile and Sirius laughed, as though he knew a big joke was being played.
They made their way out of the canyon and instead of turning right to the Visitor compound, Yvonne turned left. He caught Dr Rose shaking her head, but she didn't protest.
It was a short trip before they turned off onto another access road. "Where are you taking me?" Sirius enquired.
"Just wait," Harry said, snapping open the box between them and taking out a small dart gun. He handed one over the seat to Dr Rose. She didn't look pleased but took it. Harry took one himself, checking to make sure he had a full clip of four darts, just like he had been drilled on over the last few weeks.
Sirius brow rose. "Goons?"
"Dart guns," Harry yelled over the noise of the jeep. "Just in case," Harry told him.
"In case of what?" Sirius said concerned as they came to a stop. Yvonne pressed a few buttons on a black box on the dashboard and the was a loud metallic clunk as the lock on the outer gate opened. "The other car didn't follow us."
"It will be alright, Mr. Black. Your godson got permission from Muldoon to do this," Yvonne said back, stepping out of the jeep to open the outer gates. A moment later they drove into the large cage.
Harry jumped out this time, closing the gates and not walking away until the four, two-inch-thick steel bolts slit into place. He opened the other gates, closing them after the jeep was through, before jumping back into the rear of the jeep. Sirius was looking at the wire fences, clearly humming with electricity, and the gates, rather wearily. "Pup, how big are these dinosaurs?"
Harry gave him a huge smile. "You'll see."
Sirius was starting to look nervous now. "Why are you all carrying goons and I am not?"
"I have your wand, but I'm not giving it to you until we are back at the compound," Harry replied. Yvonne took off at a more leisurely pace. All the giants in the Valley were of the gentle sort, never having shown much inclination to being bothered by people or the jeeps, so Muldoon and Mr. Hammond had thought it fine to let them go on their own. Harry never considered that it was also a way of Muldoon saying he trusted Harry to handle himself.
As they drove closer to the lake, Harry heard a few calls from the Parasaurolophus herd. Sirius perked up but couldn't see them yet as he was facing the back. Moving, he strained to look out the front of the jeep. Harry didn't miss the wince, not when Sirius finally saw what a dinosaur really was.
Yvonne stopped the jeep a few hundred yards from the group, turning the jeep so that Sirius could look out the back. Harry had turned to look at the duckbill dinosaurs near the lakes edge. Two diplodocuses could be seen in the water and the third was on its belly, obviously taking a nap.
"Merlin," Sirius muttered. Harry knew the feeling.
"Aren't they brilliant?" Harry put to him.
After a moment, Sirius gave him a sidelong look. "I think you spent too much time with Hagrid."
Harry nodded. "Reckon so," he agreed.
"We really need to get Mr. Black to the clinic before we figure out if he can move into his apartment," Dr Rose told them.
"Just another moment?" Harry asked. He loved watching the dinosaurs and being this close. One of the Parasaurolophus's turned to him and let out a long, mournful hoot that echoed in the valley.
-oOo-
That night...
"Dragons. Dinosaurs are the size of dragons," Sirius said to the group around the table.
Mr. Hammond, Sir Lockwood, Muldoon, Benning and Dr Wu, freshly over from Isla Sorna after a two-week stint there, were sitting around the table.
"They aren't dragons, Mr. Black. They are dinosaurs," Dr Wu said. "Though, if we could get some DNA of dragons, could you imagine the possibilities." The man had a dreamy quality to his voice.
"I agree with you, Henry, but from what Harry has told us, I think dragons would be a little too dangerous for our guests," Hammond replied.
"Some of our attractions are too dangerous," Muldoon said. "I still think we should put down most of the raptors. They are four times the size they should be."
"I think they will be some of the most popular of our animals," Lockwood replied. "Besides, we have been able to learn much from their gene splicing, being the most complicated to achieve so far."
"All the dinosaurs are marvels," Dr Wu added. "Are you sure you don't want to transfer more from Isla Sorna. If I could get the Spinosaurus and the Carnotaurus over here, I could spend more time at Jurassic Park."
"As much as I would love to see them here, we are not setup for more paddocks right now and neither of them are even full grown yet, from what you have told me," Hammond replied.
"There are too many carnivores on the island already," Muldoon replied. "If they ever break out, we could be in real trouble. I want to double the guards on the island, and you need to approve of larger weapons."
Hammond and Lockwood both looked uneasy. Benning nodded his head. "I have to agree with Muldoon on this one, John and Benjamin. We have to think a little more of guest safety."
"You have any clue what they are talking about," Sirius asked, leaning over in his wheelchair.
"Muldoon wants some larger machine guns if they have to put down an escaped dinosaur," Harry said back.
"I will not have any of the dinosaurs put down," Hammond said a little forcibly. "You are talking millions put into each one and I have hired you to find a way to subdue them if that ever happens. We are setting up the largest and most sophisticated biological preserve in the world and I want people to see it. The whole idea of making these dinosaurs is to have people see them. To see the joy and wonder on their faces."
"John, I agree, but you know the board is a little weary about all this after that worker was killed and the others injured earlier this year," Lockwood said.
"That was an unfortunate accident that we have learned from. I made sure their family was taken care of and we have put in more safety measures and will have even more in place before we open in a year from now," Mr. Hammond replied.
"Someone was killed?" Sirius questioned.
Harry shrugged, this being the first time he had heard about it.
"John, that wasn't an accident. I am telling you that the velociraptors are very intelligent. Problem solving intelligent. I swear she knew that the locks didn't take properly, and she killed and maimed two others before we subdued her. We have also found evidence that three raptors are now missing from the paddock," Muldoon replied.
"They aren't missing," Dr Wu said. "One of my assistances found a video of the pack killing one of the others the other day."
Muldoon's nostrils flared. "And you didn't tell me? I have to know what they can do."
"You always seem to know what the dinosaurs are doing, so I just assumed you knew. John, I am being serious though. I want to take a few more species over here," Dr Wu said.
"None of the others are ready, Henry," Lockwood reminded Wu.
"Excuse me," Sirius said a little loudly so that he could be heard. Everyone turned to him. "Would someone please explain what a Spinosaurus is and why there are such dangerous animals on the island? I would also like to know how Harry and me fit into all this."
"Spinosaurus. It's a large therapod that likes to eat fish and has the potential to be bigger than our tyrannosaurs," Dr Wu said a little proudly. "We are working to release some of the giant coelacanths in the rivers to feed them."
Hammond rapped his cane on the floor. "Thank you, Henry. To answer your questions, Sirius. An animal is only as dangerous as you make it out to be. We have taken every precaution to ensure the safety of all our workers and the guests that will come to this island. I assure you that Benjamin and I have spared no expense on that."
"I would like to go over Muldoon's other suggestions before I leave tomorrow," Lockwood interjected.
"We will, Benjamin," Hammond said to his business partner before turning back to Harry and Sirius. "As for you two, you have opened up whole new possibilities for the scientific world and the genetics that InGen specializes in. Until Harry demonstrated that magic was real, no one understood some mysteries, like how blood was preserved in mosquitoes, and how some of our gene splicing actually worked, correct Henry?"
"We are only just starting to understand what magic is doing. I just thought it was our science," Dr Wu said, as though uncomfortable with magic.
"So, we are lab rats?" Sirius asked, echoing Harry's sentiments.
"No," Lockwood said. "I know that my team may have had Harry feeling that way, but that is not our intent. What we have witnessed in the last few weeks is a miracle on par with the cloning and other medical advances that Dr Wu and others at InGen have been able to accomplish. My colleagues have just been a little exuberant and I will make sure they are better for now on."
"Yes, Harry and I had a conversation about it. I assure you, Sirius, that we are not trying to take advantage of Harry or you," Hammond backed up Lockwood.
Sirius gave him a look that told Harry they were going to have a long conversation soon.
"And you haven't been contacted by any other magical government? I thought the MACUSA helped to administer all of North America?" Sirius put to them.
Everyone else at the table looked a little blank faced. It was Muldoon who spoke first. "Harry has told us about other wizards, and the Ministry of Magic back in the U.K., but we have not found any evidence of that to date, nor has anyone else with magic like Harry or you been found."
Sirius frowned. "I know we hide from the Muggles, but this all seems off," Sirius muttered.
Harry nodded, feeling the same thing. He wondered how much Sirius had been told so far about the investigations that Harry knew was going on.
"Sirius, once you are better, I will pay for you to go back to England to find the rest of the wizards, and if you and Harry decide to leave, we won't stop you," Mr. Hammond said. Dr Wu and Benning looked a little alarmed, but Lockwood just nodded.
"Whenever you are in England, my house will be open to you," Lockwood offered.
"I still have my family's old cabin in Scotland too," Hammond added.
"They should have a guard if they leave the island until they decide they are not coming back," Muldoon stated.
"I think it a mistake to just let them go like that, John and Benjamin. Harry already knows too much and what would happen if news of all this got out before we were ready to open?" Benning said.
Lockwood frowned. "I am afraid the cat is out of the bag, at least among some of our competitors. John and I received a report that Biogen has found out about some of this, but they don't seem to know where the park is or how far we have come.
Hammond looked concerned. "We can't let this get out, Benjamin. We have put too much effort and money into this."
"I know, John, that is why I want to seriously consider Muldoon's suggestions of doubling all our security forces," Benjamin said.
"We already have over a hundred spread between our facilities," Hammond replied.
"Yes, but what damage would it do to InGen if any of our cloning or gene splicing technology were to get out there?" Lockwood pressed.
The table was silent for a few.
