"Hey Wendy, where's Webber, Louise, and others?" A kid with redhaired pigtails asked their friend.

Scanning around the base, they did not see the spider kid or any other adults in there aside from her and Wendy. Even the scout boy and the fish girl aren't around.

"They're going Dragonfly hunting. Miss Winona, Mr. Wilson, and Louise needed more gem for their thing." The blonde-haired girl answered, her hand busy weaving the collected flower petals into a headwear.

"Oh..."

"And my uncle, grandma Wicker and Woodie are on the Lunar island, collecting moon shards."

"Eh... So only we two left?"

"Yes. Hmm. Here, this is for you." She handed the newly weaved flower crown to the newest arrival in their group. They accepted it and begin wearing it on their neck instead of on their head. She watches as they ran to the west of their camp, probably trying to pick a fight with the killer bee again. She yelled at them to come back before the night come.

A child, younger even than her and the sole merm in their group. Though not by their own choice, they have said before but never elaborated how.

And like any other survivors, they have their own uniqueness and quirk.

Firstly, Ran, the name of the newest arrival, has no set gender. He can become a she with cold water, and she became he when doused with hot water. Poor Wilson still trying to explain that one.

Second, they are deathly afraid of Catcoon and their offspring. But for some reason, the Catcoon like them. This led to their third quirk.

Like Woodie, they will transform to their Neko form, as what they called the form is when their sanity is low enough and there are Catcoon or Catcoon's critters around.

Fourth, they can eat nearly everything including stale food, but they can't eat any mushrooms. Or crock pot's recipe with mushrooms in it. Any other food is fine though.

Fifth, they are the fastest amongst the survivors, especially when they are in their girl form or Neko form. Their strength is also quite high for someone so young, able to quickly kill a Merm with their hand.

Fifth, they glow. Literally. When they are full, they will start to glow like Abby was. The soft blue can act as a spider gland, healing any scratches and bruises. The only downside to this ability is the glow will heal everything, even the monsters. And the effect is stronger on any monster than on Ran's allies.

She is currently cooking some meatballs with the crock pot when she hears the loud shout of "I'm home!". Glancing in the direction of the shout, she sees Ran running while carrying what seems to be a honey.

"Oh, you back playing? Today's dinner will be honey-flavored meatballs if you give those honey to me."

"Sure!"

"Now, wait at the campfire. The meatballs will be done soon."

"Okay!"

Although she finds her job of taking care of young Ran is tiresome, she finds that she doesn't mind it too much. It's just...

Taking care of Ran really remind her of how Abby would take care of her when she was still alive, even though she was just older than her for a few minutes. Even now, Abby still takes care of her. Even as a ghost.

And it is all that matter.
