I've been wanting to write some post-Adamant angst for some time now so here ya go. I feel like I should do more for this, Adamant was such a traumatic event and I always feel like I'm not doing it justice, but I'll start here at least. I'm marking this as complete for now because I don't really have any ideas for what else I could do.

Aedan Cousland saved his only sister and dog and some of Highever reserves to escape with Duncan of the Grey Wardens who he volunteered himself in order to avenge his family. Summary sucks, the story is much better. The OC paired with Alistair is the female human noble.

He'd promised to let her die along with the archdemon. He would be crowned and she would be resting beneath the earth, unknowing of where life would take him. She'd welcomed her fate, he hadn't.

AU Pre-Origins. An absurd bit of fluff exploring pre-Blight Ferelden. Elissa catches the attention of King Maric and discovers a terrible secret he's hiding. Ferelden is an odd nation though, and the King finds himself bullied rather imperiously by "Bryce Cousland's spitfire." It's time someone finally stood strong when he couldn't. The rating is M because I'm paranoid.

Saudade: A melancholic longing, the love that remains. We all know The Tale of the Champion (or Varric's version of it, anyway). But what about what actually happened?

Querencia: a place where one feels safe, a place from which one's strength is drawn, a place where one feels at home. Hawke finds her home in Varric at the edge of the end of the world. Now if only she could find the strength to stay there. (Formerly known as Saudade!)
