Chapter 1: Angelina
Adrenaline ran through Harry's veins as he stretched his right arm as much as he could, trying to catch the elusive Golden ball, while ignoring the extremely pretty and extremely fast Ravenclaw seeker right next to him. In a desperate attempt, the rival seeker bumped into him, with such misfortune that the hit actually gave Harry a speed bust, allowing him to grab the snitch.
"Yes!" he yelled, pumping his hand in the air as Lee screamed to the mic "Potter catches the snitch, Gryffindor wins 260-100!"
Both seekers landed in the pitch, as their chase was happening quite close to the floor. Now without pressure, he took a good look at his rival. She had oriental features, and the slim figure proper of a seeker. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, but a couple of hairs were damp and clinging to her forehead. She was trying to regain her breath, and she flashed him the prettiest smile Harry had ever seen.
"Good game" said the girl, extending her hand to him. "Cho Chang"
"Harry Potter" he said, flushing a bit at the contact.
"I know," giggled Chang. "I wouldn't mind flying with you again. It was really challenging".
Watching the rest of the lions flying towards them, she bid him goodbye before he was able to utter a coherent response.
As always, the dressing room was in a high spirit atmosphere after the victory. Oliver was quietly smirking in the corner as the twins and the elder chasers made the actual fuss. Katie and Harry were, as usual, sitting on the sides, sipping water before their return to the common room and the full house celebration. This was the intimate affair, just the seven of them. And it was a good thing that it was intimate.
Harry had a hard time his second year reacting to the confidence that existed within the team. Both Harry and Katie, being the youngest, usually exited the showers with shirts and trousers, but they were the only ones. The boys naturally wear no shirt, and Alicia and Angelina wore light clothing after showering. It had been an awkward conversation with Fred and George.
"Our dearest Harrikins"
"We know you have noticed that our teammates are beauty incarnate."
"Best looking girls in the whole castle"
"Distracting the world from us when the team plays"
"Unfair even"
"Indeed"
Harry turned red and tried to avoid the twins' gazes. Both redheads took a sit before speaking again, in a less teasing tone. "It's normal to look"
"They don't mind it"
"But it's because they trust us"
George nodded. "Us, Olly, you"
"Be respectful, not only with them but with all the girls."
"A peek here or there is no sin"
"But remember, they are still our teammates, look them in the eye and don't be cynical about it"
Harry had dutifully followed the twins' instructions and was delighted to see that the chasers still behave normally around him. He was aware of the jealous looks from the rest of the Gryffindor boys in his and upper years when Angelina would ruffle his hair by passing or about Katie's sporadic effusiveness. Alicia would help him with Potions research or Katie would lend him her old notes for him to compare. Angelina even taught him the stunning charm and he had shocked Malfoy by knowing a TIMO spell at the beginning of third year. When he woke of course.
Ron and Hermione were still his best friends. But the attention of the chasers was like having three big sisters.
Katie was pulled by George to jump around in celebration, and her spot was occupied by a smirking Angelina who hugged him sideways. "Good catch Harry"
"Thank you. It was a fun match"
Angelina nodded. "Chang is the closest thing you have to a one-on-one competition here. Diggory is stronger but slower, and Malfoy needs glasses more than you. The girl is probably as fast and as light as you. She would improve your flying" Harry was still the best snitch spotter in the school, ironic due to his terrible eyesight.
At Harry's nod, Angelina smirked. "It may seem that you caught more than the snitch out there"
It took him way longer than it should have, but he defaulted to a vivid shade of red that had nothing to do with the shower he had taken. "Wha-what?"
Angelina raised an eyebrow before asking. "You did know she was flirting with you right?"
At Harry's spluttered denials the chaser laughed. "Common man! She was clearly into you. You gave her a great chase and didn't pull your shots just because she's a girl. That smile was a clear invitation Harry"
"You sure?" there was doubt but also hope in the seeker's voice, as his expression morphed into a faraway look, clearly thinking about the Chinese girl. Giving him a couple of minutes, Angelina elbowed him playfully. "So, what are you going to do about it?"
That startled him "What do you mean?"
"Date to Hogsmeade, a stroll around the lake, maybe a visit to the broom closet on the third floor?" at the last, she wiggled her eyebrows.
Harry returned to his tomato-like-state before spluttering. "Angie, I don't know her! What am I supposed to do, what if we don't have anything in common? I'm sure we don't like anyt…"
The dark-skinned chaser cut the rambling before it went to stupid places. She said with a soft voice. "Harry... That's what dates are for. You can get to know each other before formalising and becoming a couple. It can perfectly be that you only have your position in quidditch to talk about. But you can also have a lot in common with her. I don't know, and you won't know unless, you know, you get to know her. Talk to her. Like normal people."
Harry bit his lip, still in doubt. Alicia and Katie were looking at them with curiosity, and Angelina motioned them to stay away. With a small nudge, she gave him the final push. "She will not be eternally single Harry. I'm sure you are not the only one with eyes in the school."
As he lifted his head with determination, his older friend smiled. "I think she has charms with Katie Monday morning."
Harry nodded and hugged her before returning to his clothes. Angelina smiled before turning to her fellow chasers, ready for gossip.
As the trio finished dressing, they were updated on the subject and the others smiled knowingly to the boy of the team. Alicia suddenly paled before blurting. "I'm not going to give him the talk. Na-ah. No. Nope. Denied. I'm a single child for a reason"
Katie smiled amusedly as Angelina muttered under her breath. The leader of the trio suddenly perked up. "The bottle we won from the twins! Whoever gives the talk earns it!"
Sealed as a deal, she instructed Katie to isolate Chang next Monday morning. Just because their little lion had gathered courage didn't mean that they couldn't help him out. It was what big sisters did.
AN1: So, this will be short, again. Three chapters, one for each chaser and one for each year. Angelina is here with third year, Next will be Katie in fourth and Alicia will close at fifth year.
