'Dear Diary, it has been fifteen days since the Day of Unity ended and the Boiling Isles merged with the Human realm.' This sentence was the first sentence on page 55 of a diary that belongs to a young somewhat average 11-year-old girl name; Luzieel Alexandra Belos or 'Luz' as her friends call her. She continues to write, 'Lately, things have been boring and well, I miss my friends. Being a princess was tough, mainly because my father wouldn't allow me to go out and play with the other ordinary kids. Because of this, Lilith my mentor, got in contact with three pristine families so that I can have some friends to play with. Amity, Bocha, and Skara were my only friends until I met Luna, Gus, and Willow. We mainly hung out at this small fort that we made together. We started hanging out a little more when my father decided to send me to Hexside for the first time and I had a good time there.'
Luz was not like average-11-year-old girls, she was the first and actual princess of the Boiling Isles, her father is Emperor Alexander Belos. Because Luz was a princess, she wasn't allowed to leave the confines of her father's castle and had to be watched 24/7. When Luz was 8 years old, Belos allowed Luz to go to school which was suggested by Alistar Tollison, head of the healing coven. She told Belos that Luz needed to socialize with children her age so, Luz went to school from 7:30 A.M. to 1:10 P.M., Belos was pricky when it came to how many hours his only daughter would be in school. Since then, Luz has had an eventful school life. Being chased by evil shadow worshipping witches, discovering that wizards are probably illusionists, creating her own set of spells. It was far to say that Luz's school life was very hectic. When Luz turned 10 years old, her father announced to everyone in the Boiling Isles about the Day of Unity. Then 15 days ago, the Boiling Isles were transported to the Human realm and the whole world watched as the isles were suddenly off the middle of what humans call the 'North Atlantic Ocean. Since then, people from all over the world have been trying to see what the lay of the land is and to who the land answers. Belos announces to the world that Boiling Isles answers to none of the world governments and will continue to be an independent sovereign island.
After, things went slightly normal.
Currently, Luz is sitting on her chair in her room while looking at the great wide blue sea with the sun setting in the distance. Luz sighs as she takes in one of the most beautiful sights ever. Her father's castle stood high and wide, barely overshadowing Bonebourgh which allowed the citizens to see the wonderful sunset. As Luz looks at the sunset, she gets a call from her crystal ball from one of her friends; Luna an oracle student. When Luz looks at the crystal ball, she calls her friend Amity Blight, one of her original friends.
A minute later, Amity answers with a tired smile on her face. On her face was abomination goo that was smeared across her face. Amity Blight is an abomination track student which means she learns about summoning/creating abominations more than any other magic. For the longest time, Luz has known Amity for being the specialists when it comes to Abomination magic.
"Hey Amity," Luz started off the conversation, "How is your day going for you?"
Amity sighs and says as she wipes away some of the abomination sludge off of her face, "Not so well. I had another hard day of work over here. I've been making abominations left to right for five hours straight. I'm sorry Luz, but I don't think that I'll be able to hang out at all, I called the others, and they're tried too. I'm sorry Luz."
Luz sighs in defeat and says with a reassuring smile, "It's okay Amity, I didn't know that coming here would change lives for good or bad at all."
Amity then says, "Thanks, Luz. There is some good to all of this, I heard that all of the abomination-themed gadgets we're making over here are going to help build more houses/buildings too. And who knows," Amity then blushes slightly, "Maybe I'll be able to work over at the castle for some renovations and be able to see you." Hearing this, Luz blushes madly.
Ever since Luz turned 11, she has been seeing Amity as more than a friend, and Amity has been growing some feelings for the princess too. Before Luz could say anything, she hears an owl hooting outside her window. When she looks out her window, she sees an owl holding a letter in its mouth. Luz lifts an eyebrow and says to Amity, "Amity, I have to go…"
Amity then asks confused by Luz's sentence, "Is something wrong Luz?"
Luz answers, "I don't know, I'll call you back." Luz then hangs up the call on the crystal ball. Once she hangs up, she walks over to the owl and scratches the bottom of its head. The owl tilts its head showing off its affection. Luz grabs the letter from its mouth and says, "By any chance, this isn't a part of some devious scheme, right?" The owl is more occupied with Luz's chin scratches than listening to her. Luz looks at the letter in her hands and reads the letters on the back and sees that it's addressed to Luz with her exact address, including which tower she is in. Luz looks confused at the letter before saying to herself, "Hunter, you are in so much trouble." Luz stops scratching the owl's chin and walks out of her tower.
As she walks to her father's throne room, she was greeted by her father's coven soldiers who bowed and said 'Your Highness' to Luz. It was public knowledge in the Boiling Isles that Luz is a princess. The entire isles know that Luz is the first dynasty of Emperor Belos. Once Luz goes to the doors to her father's throne room, she stops and walks off to the side as the Nine Coven heads to walk out of her father's throne room. Luz waited for all of the coven heads to leave, but one coven head, Alistar Tollison, head of the healing coven sees Luz and stops in front of her.
Luz smiles and asks Tollison, "Hi Alistar, did the meeting go well?" Alistar Tollison was one of the women in Luz's childhood life and she has her female role model. Whenever Alistar was at the castle, she would normally visit Luz to see how she was doing and most time she had taken care of her. Over time, Alistar saw Luz as a daughter that she wished she had.
Alistar shakes her head and says, "Unfortunately it was one of those meetings. We were discussing if we should continue with mass production with coven items. Per usual, Vernworth and five other heads think we should continue production. Honestly– Luz, what is that in you're hand?" Alistar notices the envelope in Luz's small hand.
Luz looks down at the letter and back at Alistar and says, "I got this letter and I'm planning on showing it to father to see if this is one of Hunter's new jokes." Alistar nods her head and says to Luz:
"Well, I hurry if I were you. Your father is about to leave the castle to check in with the other towns to see how their progress is going along." Luz nods her head and walks off to her father's throne room. As she walks off, she looks over her shoulder and waves goodbye to Alistar who waves back at Luz with a smile.
Luz walks into her father's throne room without knocking. Her eyes snap open when she hears her father saying, "Luzeal," Luz looks up at her father sitting on his throne holding his staff in his left hand. He goes on and says, "Daughter, you know the rules; knock and ask before walking in."
Luz bows before her father with the envelope still in her hand. She then tells her father while still bowing to him, "Forgive me, father, the reason for me coming inside the throne room unannounced is because of this letter." Luz rises from her bowing and shows Belos the envelope in her left hand. Belos conjures up his signature levitation spell and brings the envelope to his hand. He looks at said envelope, while he observing the envelope Luz goes on and respectively says to her father, "After previous interactions and being a victim to my cousin's pranks, I believe that this letter is a part of his latest prank to humiliate me as he has done previous times. Now I would like to push forward with the notion of the possibility of separating Hunter's head from his shoulders."
"Never going to happen cuz'." Said an annoying and familiar voice that caused her blood to boil.
Luz looks up and sees her cousin Hunter Belos or Golden Guard sitting on top of a support beam in a relaxed pose and wearing his Golden Guard uniform and holding his staff. Luz rolls her eyes at her immature cousin. Hunter teleports down onto the ground and says, "You're right about one thing; I am planning a prank but…" He then teleports to Belos's right side and continues, "This letter is not me."
Belos then asks his daughter, "Luz, tell me, by any chance, do you know anyone else who might have sent you this letter?"
Luz shakes her head and answers, "Sorry father, but I don't know anyone who might have sent that letter. I honestly thought that it was from Hunter." Belos looks at the envelope for a minute before taking the risk and opens the envelope. The moment he opens the envelope, Hunter teleports next to Luz and uses her as a living shield. Luz gets angry at her cousin and the two begin to wrestle to see who would be the living shield. Instead of something bad happening, it turned out that it was just an ordinary envelope. Luz then asks her father while she and Hunter were still wrestling, "Father, is there something in the envelope?"
Belos pulls out a letter from the envelope and looks at it for five minutes while his daughter and nephew calmed down from their fighting and stood there waiting for Belos to say or do something. Belos then teleports the letter into Luz's hand and reads it out loud;
"Dear Ms. Belos, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. Students shall be required to report to the Chamber of Reception upon arrival, all dates for which shall be duly advised. Please ensure that the utmost attention is made to the last requirements attached herewith. We very much look forward to recessive you as part of the selections of Hogwarts heritage."
After Luz read the letter out loud, she looks up at her father and asks, "Father, do you know anything about this school 'Hogwarts'?" There was an unnerving silence that came from her father. He didn't say a single word at all. This unruleling silence created goosebumps in his daughter and nephew. Luz then asks one more time, "Father, is there- - -"
SLAM!
Luz wasn't able to finish her question due to the door behind the young witches opening suddenly causing them to whip their heads to the back. They then see an older woman with dark skin, wearing olive robes and a pointed hat spangled with astrological signs being escorted by both; Lilith and Kikimora. The two Boiling Isles' witches' eyes widen in fear when they see that they interrupted a possibly important conversation between Belos and his only two family members. They immediately kneel before the emperor in respect and fear.
Kikimora was the first to speak, "M-M-My lord, please forgive us for our intrusion but one of our guards reported that this human somehow got in front of the castle stairs."
Lilith then adds, "W-We don't know how she got in or how many there are but, rest assured that we will find the rest and arrest them for coming to the Isles without permission." There was a long silence from Belos which made the four witches scared. As sweat starts to come down their faces, Lilith then pulls out what appears to be a training wand? Lilith then says, "We have no idea where she found this training wand but we will put in an investigation as to who this training wand belongs to."
Silence.
Luz asks the woman, "Do you know who sent this letter?" Luz shows off the letter in her hands which shocked Hunter, Kikimora, and Lilith that the princess has asked the prisoner about this letter.
Before anyone could say anything the woman answers, "I am Professor Sinistra, I teach astrology at a school for witchcraft and wizardry you're highness."
Before anyone else could ask her, Belos was the first to ask the professor, "And why exactly have you come here, professor?"
