I don't own any of this, Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
On one Michigan day; a derecho has started to blow across the state. It is a very rare weather event to even happen in this very part of the United States, but today it has and it brings in nature's furry with it.
Heavy winds blow through creating damage to roofs, blowing away anything outside that's not bolted down, tree branches are snapped off, and it even knocks down some trees. Hail comes down with heavy rains, pelting vehicles with some breaking windshields. Small tornadoes have also touched down in some areas, fortunately they were in the F0 or F1 categories so they didn't stay on the ground for very long as well as only causing some minimal damage.
Royal Woods is among these towns that is under the restless assault of the storm and the Loud siblings are taking shelter down in their basement with the pets.
They were by themselves as their parents have gone out to the grocery store before the storm had befallen on the town. The storm has made it too dangerous to be driving right now, so they were forced to stay at the store until the storm was over, which who knows how long that would take.
The younger Louds, (Lana, Lola, and Lilly), are scared on being stuck in a storm while mom and dad are away. Their older siblings like Leni and Luna have their arms around them for much needed comfort. Meanwhile Lori stood underneath the basement window trying to see through it, which is basically impossible from the amount of rain coming down it. All she could really see through the wet window is the flash of lightning, really all she could do is hear the heavy winds shake the house and the booms of thunder.
"Man, this really bites!" Lynn began to complain. "I was supposed to head down to the fields today to practice on my swings."
"You think that's bad? I had a birthday party scheduled for today." Luan also complained.
"And it's about to get worse guys." Lori announced getting her siblings attention. She had pulled out her phone to check on how Bobby is doing, unfortunately to her discovery both the cell service and internet is down. When she shares this terrible news with her siblings, they all groaned.
"Now what are we supposed to do?" Lola whined.
"Fear not sibling. Once the storm passes our local internet provider and cell service will be back on in no time." Lisa reassured as she looked away from her meteorology equipment that she had been studying ever since the storm began.
"But what about now? I can't just sit here and do nothing." Lola snarked.
"If only I had grabbed my ax before taking shelter, I could provide some music dudes." Luna spoke up.
A loud boom of thunder suddenly shook the house on its foundation. The sudden loud noise spooks Lilly who hides her face against Leni's stomach, Leni gently rubs her baby sister's head in response. "It's ok Lilly." She gently spoke.
Watching Leni comfort Lilly suddenly gave Lincoln an idea. "That's it! I know how we can entertain ourselves and help keep Lilly calm during the storm."
"How so?" Lana asked.
"We can tell stories." Lincoln gleefully replied.
"Oh yeah. I remembered that we did that when we had that snow storm." Luan exclaimed as that had been fun.
"So are we going to tell the same story again?" Lynn question with her hands on her hips.
"I was actually thinking that we each tell our own stories." Lincoln replied.
"Ah, so one of those types of deals." Lucy muttered though it fell on deaf ears to her other siblings who thought that it is a great idea and would be tons of fun in order to pass the siblings all gathered around in a circle, getting themselves comfortable in their own types of ways. "Alright so who's up first?" Lori questioned.
Raising her hand up in a flash, Lana waved around in excitement. "I will! I will!"
Lori chuckled. "Alright Lana, you can go up first."
Lana clenches her hand in victory. "Yes! Alright here we go. Prepare yourselves for a classic story about a wolf, a basket full of goodies, and a grandma. This tale as what you know is Little Red Riding Hood."
Once upon a time there was a little girl name little Red Riding Hood. One fine day in town; she was happily playing in a good old fashioned mud puddle.
"Hey she never did that!" Lola interrupted.
"It's my story, so go along with it." Lana retorted.
Lana Red Riding Hood rolled around in the mud happily on this fine clear day. "Oh yeah! Nothing like swimming in fresh mud in the morning." She dives herself into the mud, she doesn't emerge out for a couple minutes. When she did it was like a dolphin jumping out of the ocean, complete with a couple of flips.
She lands back in the mud with a great splash. As the mud settles Lana Red Riding Hood laughed for that had been a ten out of ten jump, she wanted to do it again and so she prepared herself to dive, but got interrupted from her mother who called out from the window. "Hey Lana. Can you come in here?"
"Sure mom." Getting out of the mud Lana Red Riding Hood shook off the mud like a dog. With most of the mud off of her with just a few stains, Lana Red Riding Hood heads into her house where the smell of her mother's famous bagels struck her nose. Sniffing the scent, Lana Red Riding Hood licked her lips. "Mmm, mmm. Come to mama!" Racing over towards where the smell of bagels are, she spots them neatly tucked into a basket on the kitchen table.
Raising her hands up in a grabbing motion Lana Red Riding Hood is about to go on a feeding frenzy, only to have her mother step in front of her and raised her own hand up in a halt position. "Hold it right there young lady. These bagels are not for you today."
"Aw!" Lana Red Riding Hood whined as she really wanted to have those bagels in her belly right now.
"These are for your grandmother. She has recently caught the case of the sniffles, and I figured that my world's famous bagels will help make her feel better." Lana Red Riding Hood's mother explained.
"Aw, poor grandma." Lana Red Riding Hood said as she and her grandmother were very close.
"I thought you would feel that way. So I figured that you could go and deliver the bagels." Her mother smiled.
Excitement filled Lana Red Riding Hood for this day is just getting better and better. "Oh boy! When are we going?"
"Actually your just going as I have a lot to do around the house." Her mother replied.
"Wait, go by myself? I'm six years old and your sending me out to grandma's house alone? Even though she lives secluded in a forest."
Her mother nods with a smile. "Yep"
"Boy, good thing this story was made a long time ago as this definitely wouldn't fly today." Lana Red Riding Hood quipped.
Lana Red Riding Hood then goes over and picks up the basket and is joined by her trusting friend: Hops who perched himself into her front pocket, before she left her house. Walking along on over to the bus stop, Lana Red Riding Hood boards the bus and rode it all the way to the forest where grandma's house is built on.
Stepping off the bus, Lana Red Riding Hood began to go down the trail that lead towards grandma's house. She gets halfway down the trail when she encountered a red hair wolf, wearing a green shirt and blue pants leaning against a large tree trunk. Spotting her the wolf smirked and waved. "Hey there girl."
Lana Red Riding Hood stopped on her walk to greet the wolf as she liked animals. "Oh, hi there Mr. Wolf."
"Call me Chandler the Wolf. Though technically I'm not a wolf."
"Your not?" Lana Red Riding Hood question with a raised eyebrow as he definitely looked like a wolf to her.
"I'm actually a werewolf." Chandler the Wolf explained.
"A werewolf?"
Chandler the Wolf nodded. "I wear clothes and I can talk. There for I'm a werewolf."
"But wait a minute. Shouldn't you be human right now?" As Lana Red Riding Hood understood very well that werewolves change back into their human forms in the daytime.
"I'm a unique case. You see I turned into my human form on the full moon." Chandler the Wolf further explained.
"Wouldn't that make you a were-human?"
Chandler the Wolf waved his hand. "Ah, enough questions about my unusual condition. Now tell me what's in that basket you have there?" He pointed out.
"Bagels. They're for my grandma who is sick with the sniffles." Lana Red Riding Hood happily explained.
"Oh, you mean that woman who lives down at the end of the trail?" Chandler the Wolf question.
"You betcha." She goes to continue on with her stroll, but stopped as a sudden thought came to her that made her look at Chandler the Wolf suspiciously. "Say your not going to do anything nasty, are you buddy?"
Chandler smirked. "No, I'm not going to do anything." His smirk grew wider. "Would I lie?"
With her eyes narrowing in suspicion, Lana Red Riding Hood slowly walked away from Chandler the Wolf, Hops jumped up on to her shoulder, giving a "I'm watching you" look to Chandler who is simply waving them goodbye until they are out of site.
"Heh. Suckers." Chandler the Wolf couldn't believe on how easily that loser fell for his ploy. Getting down on all fours he races into the woods and uses a shortcut to get to grandma's house first. "Ha! I knew that shortcut would be useful one day."
He knocks on the door and after a minute of auditable shuffling, a elderly woman's voice calls out from the other side of the door. "Who is it?"
Coughing to himself to have a deeper voice Chandler the Wolf spoke up. "Are you grandma?"
"Why yes. Yes I am."
"Then congratulations! You have won a million dollars!"
A auditable delightful gasp could be heard from the other side of the door. "My goodness. This is certainly a delightful surprise. Now I can finally move out of this house and go to Las Vegas."
"You got that right! Now in order to receive your money, all you have to do is open the door and sign the check."
The door swings open to reveal an excited grandma, who instantly got confused when she saw no check. "Hey. Where's my check?"
Chandler the Wolf points to his stomach. "It's right in here." Opening his mouth up wide, he jumped at grandma and ate her in one huge gulp.
Finally arriving at her grandma's house. Lana Red Riding Hood came up to the door and knocked on it. "Hey grandma. Your favorite granddaughter is here and she has brought some tasty bagels."
From the other side of the door she could hear some coughing, before she finally got a response from a deep voice. "Come in dear."
Grabbing the knob, Lana Red Riding Hood looked down to Hops. "Boy Hops. Grandma's cold must be serious. Her voice sounds deeper." Coming into the house, she goes into grandma's bedroom where she is laying in her bed, although she looked different as her face looked like a paper mask with a poorly drawn smile.
Grandma coughs a couple of times as she pulled the blanket up to her chin. "Hello dear, it's so nice to see you."
"It's nice to see you to grandma and look what I brought you." Lana Red Riding Hood presents her basket of bagels proudly to her grandmother who seemed to smile wide from that pencil drawn one on her face.
"Oh my, those look delicious. Come closer so that I could grab one." A wolfish growl escapes her from that last word in her sentence.
"Sure thing grandma." Lana Red Riding Hood approached her grandmother's bedside, from behind the mask a mouth full of sharp teeth grinned as droll leaked out. Now more closer Lana Red Riding Hood noticed some odd things about her grandmother for today.
"Boy grandma. What big eyes you have."
"The better to see you with, my dear."
"What big ears you have."
"The better to hear you with, my dear."
"What hairy palms you have."
"I drank hair serum today, my dear."
Lana Red Riding Hood then recoils. "What bad breath you have."
"I forgot to brush my teeth." Grandma replied with a bit of nervousness in her tone.
Narrowing her eyes, Lana Red Riding Hood stepped away from the bedside and crosses her arms. "Your that wolf, I met on the trail aren't you?"
After a brief pause, a growl comes out as Chandler the Wolf pulled off his mask in anger for his brilliant plan had failed. "Yes! Alright it's me!"
"Why are wearing my grandma's clothes? And what did you do with my grandma, buster?" Lana Red Riding Hood demanded.
"How do you think loser? I ate her in one gulp." Chandler the Wolf smugly replied as he jumped off the bed, earning a gasp to escape from Lana Red Riding Hood for how could he do that? In anger she clenches her hands and narrows her eyes. "You just made a big mistake wolf boy."
Chandler the Wolf chuckled in a taunting way. "What are you going to do about it little girl?"
"Well just so you know. I'm not just some defenseless little girl, I'm a certify Gator Wrangler and I know how to use an ax." Reaching into her back, Lana Red Riding Hood pulls out a ax with such sophistication.
Surprised by the sudden appearance of the weapon, Chandler the Wolf defensively raised up his hands and started to back away from the sudden armed girl. "Whoa. Take it easy now."
"For grandma!" Lana Red Riding Hood declares as she rushed up to the terrified wolf.
Chandler the Wolf angrily sat himself down on a log, he had one arm laying on his leg, while his other arm held his hand under his chin. Looking down at his belly, he looked at the bandage now attached to it. He pokes it with his finger which sent a stinging pain that went through him like an electric shock.
"This bites." He muttered grumpily for he had lost his meal to that stupid girl.
"Thank you for getting me out of that nasty wolf Lana." Grandma lovingly said as she sat on her bed. She is covered in saliva and a bit of stomach acid, but overall she is ok. Sitting beside her Lana Red Riding Hood pulls out a bagel with Hops laying on her head.
"No problem grandma. I believe that I taught that bad dog a good lesson. Bagel?" She hands her grandma a bagel who happily took it.
"It serves him right. It's one thing to eat me whole like a snake. But when you trick me into thinking I hit the riches, then you go too far. Why if he didn't eat me, I would've pounded him right in the kisser!" Grandma declared while shaking a closed up fist. It makes her granddaughter laugh as she would've totally have done that, after all her grandma was the one who showed her on how to wrestle alligators.
Both of them soon began to eat the bagels and they both lived happily ever after.
"The end." Lana smiles as that had been fun telling a story.
"Hmm, that had been an interesting version of the classic Little Red Riding Hood tale." Lisa commented for she has never heard of a version of where the character did the chopping as that is usually reserved for the woods man.
"Awesome on how she chopped that wolf up good." Lynn exclaimed with a thumbs up.
"I would prefer a cleaner version." Lola muttered under her breath for only her twin would make Little Red Riding Hood a mud lover.
"So who's up next?" Lori asks as that's one down and only nine left to go.
"I have one." Luan announced.
"Oh this should be interesting." Luna stated.
