Naruto Uzumaki and his time at Hogwarts Year 5: Order of the Phoenix
Chapter 1: A French Vacation
It was a hot summer day in Paris, France around the month of July, as Naruto was sitting at a cafe waiting for some friends of his. While he waited for his friends, Naruto was thinking about what had happened during the summer after his fourth year, when things went south. For instance, Naruto began his training with his new sensei, Itachi Uchiha, after Jiraiya died. The training was difficult of course as Naruto was practicing kenjutsu with an experienced anbu captain. He had to keep up with him when it came to a sword duel. Not only did Naruto have to master kenjutsu, he had to master some of his father's ninjutsu as well such as the Flying Thunder God technique. Regardless of how difficult the training was, Naruto persevered as he got the hang of it. Speaking of the training, Naruto actually got to know a lot more about Itachi. Whenever they weren't training, the two actually talked to each other about many things. From how these conversations went, Naruto found Itachi to be a rather cool guy, despite what he had to do. Heck Naruto even took Itachi on a tour around London, to see how different it was from back home, and needless to say it was an eye opener for him.
Some other things happened as well, such as Tsunade finally giving birth to a healthy baby around the month of June. The baby was a girl and she looked like her mother, but had her father's hair color. Tsunade named the baby girl after her grandmother's name, Mito. Naruto spent a lot of time with Mito, as she seems to enjoy being with the blond. Along with Mito being born, Naruto did spend some time with his friends as he needed to cope with Jiraiya's death. Speaking of friends, they have arrived. It was his friends from different wizarding schools and they were David, Kaz, Joseph, and Gaara. That's right, Gaara joined the group as Naruto had been keeping in contact with him. "Hey Naruto, how have you been?" David asked, as the two shook hands. "I'm fine, just trying to move on with my life, that's all," Naruto said.
"Well now that we are here, might as well just order something to eat as I am rather famished," Kaz said as the others agreed. The five ordered their meals as they began talking about things ranging from their school experiences to what they were doing over the summer, though Naruto chose to remain quiet about some of the things that happened as he didn't want to talk about it. "So Naruto, I heard you finally got a girlfriend," David said cheekily as the others looked at him, even though Gaara knew who it was. Naruto sighed, "Might as well just reveal it, but yeah I got a girlfriend," he said. "Congratulations Naruto," Joseph stated as Kaz nodded. "So do you guys like going out on dates or something?" Kaz asked. "Actually, we haven't been on an official date as we're still taking things slow," Naruto said. "What?! You and the chick you're dating haven't been out on an official date?!" David exclaimed as the others shushed him as they were still in a public place.
"Well yeah, I mean we went on some small dates here and there, but if you are referring to, like I don't know having a private moment to ourselves or going out for some dinner, then no we haven't," Naruto explained. "I don't know much about dating nor do I have any interest in dating, but one day you have to at least do something like what you mentioned," Gaara stated. Naruto sighed, "I know, it's just that with everything that has been going on, I haven't thought much about it, but yeah that would be totally nice to do something like that." The others nodded, given that they knew Naruto was going through a lot lately from having experienced the death of a loved one to having to take care of his new baby sister and his godmother. Soon their food arrived as everybody dug in and it was a nice change of pace from what they were talking about.
Given that Naruto was staying in Paris for about a week, he was living with a colleague of Jiraiya's who was one of his informants in this world. Around this week, Naruto visited a lot of the attractions in Paris such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and even the Catacombs, which kind of creeped the blond out as it reminded him of the maze during the final task for the Triwizard tournament. It was a good thing Hermione gave him some recommendations on where to go and what to do. He learned from his friends that we're staying there for different reasons. For David, he and his family were visiting for the holidays just like Naruto. For Kaz, he was in an international potions competition with his fellow classmates and it was taking place in France. For Joseph, he was visiting some family member who was living in Paris. For Gaara, he wanted to see the outside world as he was getting bored of just staying in Bulgaria.
Soon it was time for Naruto to leave as he was packing his bag before boarding the train back to England. After saying goodbye to the colleague he boarded the Eurostar train and waited for the train to move. Soon the train embarked for its journey back to London. The journey back home was short as it took only two hours and seventeen minutes to get back. The train finally arrives at London, as Naruto gets off the train looking for whoever was picking him up. He sees Itachi there waiting for him at the platform. Itachi was dressed in casual clothes consisting of a black turtleneck, khakis, a brown jacket, and a pair black dress shoes. He still looked the same with the hair and everything, except that he was also wearing glasses. "Hey Itachi," Naruto said, greeting his mentor. Itachi smiled, "Hello Naruto, how was your trip in France?" he asked. "Well it was pretty cool, plus some of my friends from different schools were there so we had a pretty cool time, and it was a nice change of pace." Itachi chuckled, "I'm sure it is, come on let's go home as Tsunade and little Mito has been dying to see you." The two hailed a cab to the Uzumaki residence in Marylebone.
They arrived at the house and entered inside. The place didn't change much except for a few things of course. The two found Tsunade and Mito waiting for them. "Ah Naruto, welcome home," Tsunade greeted him warmly. "Hey Tsunade and hey Mito," he greeted them as he picked up the baby. Mito cooed at Naruto as she smiled at her big brother. "Oh how I have missed you," he said warmly to Mito as she laughed. "Anyways guys I actually bought some souvenirs," Naruto stated as he dug under his bag. He gave Tsunade a snow globe showing the Eiffel Tower, he gave Mito a lion plush toy, and finally he gave Itachi a box of the finest Macaron's he can buy. Tsunade and Itachi thanked him for the gifts, and soon Naruto went up to unpack. He returned downstairs as he and his family were about to have some lunch. He talked about what he did over in Paris and what he saw, even going as far as showing them some pictures he took.
