Disclaimer: I do not own Devil May Cry or the Avengers. I only own the OC Drake Redgrave.
Wanda let out a sigh as she entered her apartment, which was located in Virginia. She took off her jacket and threw it onto the couch. Trying to live a normal life can be a pretty hard thing, especially when some regular people recognize her as the 'disgraced Avenger' who got kicked out. Plus, she also got contacted by her brother, who told her about what's been going on with the Phoenix situation.
The Phoenix had bonded itself to Drake, who has gone missing after the cosmic entity merged with him.
Needless to say, that worried Wanda to the core. Drake was missing, most likely trying to hide and do something about his newest neighbour, and he knows that the X-Men and SHIELD will be hunting for him, either to control him or put him away in some cage deep underground that he'll never see the light of day again.
Wanda was about to take off her clothes and go for a very relaxing shower when she paused, frowning as she got the sense she wasn't alone in her apartment.
"You really have a nice home." A familiar voice said, causing her to look over at the window as a lamp turned on to reveal Drake sitting on the chair.
"Drake?" Wanda said in surprise. "What-what are you doing here? Do you even know what's going on?"
"Yeah..." Drake sighed. "The Phoenix is inside me, and it's gonna cause SHIELD, the X-Men and the Avengers to start hunting for me. The Avengers will try to help me, the X-Men will force me to do what they wanted Hope to do at first, and SHIELD... yeah, they'll want me locked away and studied like some lab rat."
"Well, why did you come to me?" Wanda asked as she walked over to sit in the chair across from him.
Drake leaned forward, resting his arms on his knees as he gaze Wanda a serious look. "I need your help. I need help to try and control the Phoenix. Even now I can hear the voices in my head. Your next-doors neighbours are currently screwing one another and it's uncomfortable to hear."
"You came to me... for help?" Wanda blinked. "Why?"
"Because you're someone I trust and won't treat me like some ticking time bomb about to explode and start another Dark Phoenix situation." Drake said, reaching to grab Wanda's hand which made the daughter of Magneto's breath hitch as she the man she had feelings for held her hand. "Please Wanda..."
Wanda stared into his eyes, seeing fear in them. He was scared about what this will mean for him. Scared about being hunted and if it'll cause the Phoenix to try something and make everything much, much worse.
Wanda nodded. "I'll help you. You can stay here as long as you like. It is pretty lonely here anyway, so I could use some company."
"Should buy yourself a cat or a dog." Drake said, making her giggle.
"I should." Wanda agreed. "Was thinking... a German Shepard?"
"Good choice." Drake nodded.
"Anyway, it's getting late. We'll have to start a session tomorrow." Wanda said, glancing at the time to see it was coming up for 9 PM.
Drake nodded.
After taking a very relaxing and very warm shower, Drake remained in his trousers but took his boots and socks off before coming out of the bathroom only to run into Wanda, who was now dressed in just a tanktop that drew attention to her well endowed chest and a pair of booty shorts that drew Drake's gaze to her nicely toned legs.
"Hey." Drake greeted her with a smile.
"Hey." Wanda smiled back before she handed him bed covers and a pillow. "I have the guest bedroom ready for you."
"Thank you." Drake said as he took them then looked at her. "Wanda, I'm really sorry to be dropping in on you like this. You probably don't need this kind of stress and my problems when you already have enough to-"
Wanda put a finger to his slips, gently shushing him. "It's okay. It's like you said, Drake. You trust me to help you and I'm going to do just that. I won't let you be locked up or forced to do something against your will, okay?"
"Okay." Drake nodded.
Wanda smiled and leaned up, kissing him at the corner of his lips much to Drake's surprise. Wanda giggled and walked to her bedroom door, hips swaying which caused Drake's gaze to go to her ass cheeks since her booty shorts didn't cover up much. He gulped as Wanda looked back at him with a smirk and leaned on the doorframe.
"Goodnight~" She purred before entering her bedroom, shutting the door.
Drake stared for several seconds before sighing as he entered the guest bedroom. "Women..."
About twenty minutes later, Drake was lying on the bed sleeping when he felt something was off. Drake snapped awake and sat u, Ebony in hand as he aimed it at the shadows of the room.
"Who's there?" He demanded.
A female chuckle came. "And here I thought I'd go unnoticed." Drake's eyes widened as he was greeted by the sight of a ridiculously beautiful woman emerging from the shadows with a small grin on her face. "Hello Drake…"
She approached his bed and came to a stop just a few feet from him, giving Drake a good look at her in the moonlight.
She stood just a few inches shorter than him and possessed a figure that rivalled, if not surpassed, almost every woman, human, succubus, alien and goddess that Drake's met in his entire life. She had waist length black hair that was tied in a sort of pony tail, bright turquoise blue eyes that just moments ago were glowing a dark reddish orange color, black lipstick, two small white rectangles under both eyes with a small white square under that and a single white rectangle between her bottom lip and chin. On each of her ears were two small golden orbs that were connected together and seemed to glow in the dark terraces of her hair
Her clothes seemed to be made of living shadows as they move on their own and created a black shadowy top that ended just below her generous bust with intricate vine like designs down the center. She had a loincloth on which possessed a similar vine like design and a skull like jaw on it with two protruding horns erupting from the sides that ended just above the fabric's slits that displayed her bare legs that seem to stretch on for miles until they ended at her bare feet
Drake gaped at the woman's appearance for several moments before it suddenly clicked who it was "…Death"
The now named cosmic entity smiled as she stepped closer to Drake, a subtle sway in her hips before she leaned in and her face was close to Drake's. "It's been a while, son of Sparda…"
"What do you want?" Drake asked with narrowed eyes, knowing Death herself wouldn't just visit to pop in and say hi.
"Aww, and here I thought you'd be happy to see me." Death said as she crawled on to the bed and nestled herself against Drake. "But to answer your question... I'm here for you."
"What?" Drake blinked in surprise and confusion.
Death suddenly sat up and straddled Drake's waist before faster than he could react, pinned him to the bed with her hands around his throat. His body tensed and he tried to move, but found the woman's grip on him solid. And oddly enough, the Phoenix wasn't doing anything to protect it's newest avatar.
"I'm here to talk." Death said coldly as she stared into his eyes. "I've learned of your latest situation in becoming the Phoenix Force's newest avatar."
"I suppose the whole Universe knows at this point." Drake remarked with a roll of his eyes.
Death gave him a look that said 'shut up.' before she continued. " As you are aware the Phoenix is the physical manifestation of life, yet to be born life and rebirth. And considering you have a 'no kill' policy, you could see why I'm a little... worried."
Drake frowned. "You think I'm going to use the Phoenix's powers to bring people back from the dead or something?"
Death's silent look was his answer.
"Well, don't worry... I'm not going to go down that road. There' already a group of morons who want me to use this power to give the depowered mutants back their powers." Drake said. "I'm not going to fall to Mundus' lengths and use this power to become some kind of god."
"Really?" Death said in an unconvinced tone
"Really…" Drake said with a nod
The two held each other's gaze for a moment before Death smirked "Funny, you say that now but know this Drake, the call of the Phoenix will always be there at the back of your mind, whispering to you in your most private of moments and in time… even you will be drawn to it and it's suggestions. Maybe not today, or next week but soon even you will fall prey to it as millions have before you."
"Yeah? Well, it'll find I'm very stubborn-" Drake was cut off when Death suddenly captured his lips in a searing and very hungry kiss
"HMPH?!" Drake sounded in surprise as the cosmic being slipped her tongue into Drake's mouth and deepened the kiss
After several moments, Drake began to slowly return the gesture, his hands now gripping Death's bare hips before she suddenly pulled away and placed a hand on his chest and smirked coyly at him as she felt his body begin to react to her actions
"I'll be watching you, Drake." Death said before she slowly faded into the shadows. "Oh, and just to tell you... because those mental defences of yours aren't strong to block a telepath yet, Emma Frost has located your mind... and you location."
Drake's eyes widened at that as Death fully disappeared. "Well... shit."
The next morning, Drake and Wanda were taking a walk near the local University campus, having just gotten themselves some breakfast from the local café
"I gotta get out of here, Wanda." Drake said with a sigh. "With my mind's defences the way they are and not strong to keep a telepath out, it's only a matter of time..."
"No." Wanda faced him. "Drake, I can help you, so don't start running."
"Wanda, I'm not going to put you in danger." Drake said firmly, putting his hands on her shoulders.
"You won't." Wanda said softly, putting a hand on his cheek as she gave him a firm look with a small smile, reassuring him that she won't be in any danger around him and that she really wanted to help him.
Drake stared into her eyes and slowly started to lean towards her, making her lean forward as well.
'Found them...'
Drake paused when the sudden thought came in his head and he leaned away from Wanda, looking around with narrowed eyes before he saw someone familiar duck behind a wall.
Magik.
"What is it?" Wanda asked, looking over before she saw Cyclops, Magneto and Emma Frost come out of hiding.
"They're here." Drake said, turning to Wanda. "Wanda, you need to run, don't fight, just go!"
With that, Drake started running as the place where he had been standing was shot at by a red energy beam from Cyclops.
"Sparda!" Cyclops shouted. "We only want to talk!"
"Go fuck yourself, Summers!" Drake shouted before he saw Pyslocke come around another corner. "Betsy, really?"
"Sorry Drake." She told him genuinely as she created a psionic blade. "Just surrender."
"Yeah, because that's going to help." Drake remarked sarcastically before he ran, ducking her blade and he ran through the doors into the University. He'll have to try and lose them.
Meanwhile, Wanda confronted her father. "What is this?!" She demanded.
Magneto narrowed his eyes. "Wanda, you-"
"You are going after him and trying to force him to do something against his will!" Wanda said.
"It's not forceful if he just agrees to what we want." Emma said.
"He's the only one that can fix YOUR mess." Namor said with a sneer at Wanda who glared at him as red chaos energy began to gather at her hands.
"I won't let you-"
"There he is!" Emma pointed and they saw him running across a glass overpass.
Drake was running until he saw Magik appear at one door, then Psylocke appeared on the other.
"Surrender." Magik demanded.
"Drake, don't make this any harder than it already is." Psylocke pleaded.
Drake glared at her. "You are the ones being the aggressors here."
Drake looked outside and locked eyes with Wanda, who was worried for him and she went to help him only for Namor to hit her from behind, knocking her out. Drake's eyes widened before they narrowed in rage at the sight as his fists clenched. Magik looked over and chuckled.
"Well, looks like the little witch couldn't cast her spell." She said mockingly. Drake was about to punch the glass and go to Wanda's aid when Magik blasted him with a mystical beam of energy fired from her sword. "Pathetic… to think the Phoenix chose you to be it's new host. Our race truly is doomed at this rate after what that whore did."
Drake growled as his fists clenched, not only did these... these... insects come and try to force him to obey them, but they attack Wanda... insult her... well, they've just done the worst thing they can do to Drake.
They pissed him off.
Psylocke's eyes widened when she saw the very familiar glow of cosmic fire begin to flicker around Drake's form.
"Magik..." She said warningly and cautiously as she backed away.
Suddenly there was a very violent shockwave of cosmic fire that blew Betsy and Magik back, as well as destroy the glass overpass, making it crumble.
Where they stood, Emma's eyes widened as Megnato looked more cautious now. "Oh no..."
Cyclops' eyes narrowed behind his visor.
"Summers!"
Cyclops, Namor, Emma and Magneto looked over to see the Avengers had arrived with Captain America glaring at the X-Men leader.
"What is-"
"Oh shit!" Wolverine cursed, getting the Avengers' attention and they followed his gaze only to think the same.
Drake was levitating in the air, having come out of the rubble that was once the glass overpass of the University... and cosmic flames encircled Drake's body, casting an ominous glow,
Psylocke and Magik appeared from one of Magik's portals. "We may have fucked up." Psylocke remarked.
That was an understatement...
The Demon has awoken...
Yeah, like I said, most of this is inspired by the 2008 Incredible Hulk movie. Drake went to Wanda because he trusts her to help him and not be cautious around him due to fear of becoming Dark Phoenix or something. But now... the X-Men have pissed Drake off by hurting Wanda in front of him.
Harem: Scarlet Witch, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman and Lady Death.
