Erm… Well, I guess I'm writing this again. The last one had so many problems it wasn't even worth trying to fix, so I deleted it. But now I'm rebooting it, because I wanna keep writing Shizu.
"Ano… did I say something wrong!?"
Suzuki was quite confused. There were many things to be confused about, like the fact he was transported from his comfy home to this cold, long, elegant hallway that he would only see described in picture books, or the fact he was dressed in weird robes that felt so soft he never wanted to undress. He didn't much care for the things on his shoulders, though. They were heavy.
Then, after walking for quite some time through the winding, twisting hallways of whatever this place was, he finally came across his first person. A pretty woman, with long green hair and glasses over her red eyes. She wore a brown dress with a white apron, like the one his mom used to wear while cleaning. So naturally, he called out to her wanting help but…
"Kyaaa!!! Sebas-sama!!! Intruder!!! There's an intruderrrr!!!"
He didn't quite get the help he wanted. She ran off as soon as she saw him, screaming bloody murder.
Although… when someone runs off talking about intruders, isn't that a bad thing!?
And so, with the new desire to catch up to the woman and explain himself, he picks up his robes like a dress, and starts to run towards where the woman went.
Patrolling the halls of Nazarick was never the worst thing Shizu Delta could be doing. She could be in her sister's Narberal Gamma position, having to accompany Pandora's Actor whenever he left the tomb as 'Momon', which was quite often. Even the thought of that task was enough to make her metal spine shiver, so she quickly cast it out. Simply walking around the halls, and dusting the odd vase or chandelier wasn't necessarily boring, but was rather repetitive. She had long since memorized the layout of Nazarick, so there was never anything new to do. No intruder ever reached past the eight floor, so she never got to put her knowledge of the traps of Nazarick to practical use.
Simply wishing for something new to happen… wanting to be called to Ainz-sama's office to be given a mission… or go deep undercover to a country that hates everything your masters stand for… it was a natural feeling that plagued every idle servant of the Supreme Beings.
"Sebas-samaaa!!!"
And just like that, her wish came true. A flash of green and brown dashed by, leaving Shizu in the dust. The maid must not have seen Shizu, or else she would've stopped… the homunculi maids always do. So, this must be a very real problem. Or it might be trivial, only worrying the lowest level, no combat ability maids of the tomb. Either way, something exciting might happen out of this.
The maid had run to the left of the intersection Shizu was at. So naturally, she looked right, and zoomed in down the hallway with her eye. Not detecting anything out of the ordinary, she started walking down the hallway.
And so she walked for a few minutes, with her hands on her rifle, ready to shoot at a moment's notice. If it was something bad, she would be the vanguard for whatever it was.
*clank* *clank* *clank* *clank*
Around the corner of another intersection, the sound of fast running footsteps filled the halls. The runner was wearing metal boots, and couldn't run very fast, which wasn't uncommon in Nazarick. Although nothing with metal boots should be on the ninth floor besides her master, Ainz Ooal Gown.
Just around this corner… a problem to solve for Ainz-sama…
Shizu cocks her gun, and breathes in, even though she doesn't need to, but she finds it helps her shoot faster.
"Stop. No running in the halls of the Supreme Beings…?" Shizu steps out from behind the corner, pointing her gun at whatever was running down the halls. The person stops immediately, but starts to slide. His boots screech, and he comes to a stop with the tip of Shizu's gun on his robes.
"Who… what is your name? Where did you come from?!" Shizu Delta was not known for her ability to express emotion. Her face barely moved, and her voice never changed. But in this situation, not even she would be able to keep calm.
A short boy, a few inches shorter than her, with shoulder length black hair and black eyes. His jaw is sharp, and he wears royal purple robes, with bone pauldrons.
"M-M-M-My name is uh… it's, I'm, well, please don't shoot me!!! I didn't want to come here I swear! I was just sitting in my apartment and then I was here in these clothes and I don't wanna be shot-t-t-t! Please don't!" The boy starts to sob, and falls back onto his butt, while covering his face with his hands.
"No one except the Supreme Beings can teleport onto this floor. And even if you wear his clothes, you are most certainly not a Supreme Being."
Uwah… what to do… First, I should take him to Albedo-sama… I can't imagine this is a native to this world… maybe one of Ainz-sama's experiments?
"S-Shizu-sama!!! Help!!! A-A-Ainz-sama is goneeee!!!" Knocking Shizu out of her thoughts, another maid is running and screaming towards her. The maid reaches her in no time, and doubles down panting.
"Ainz-sama… just up and disappeared… he didn't teleport… just… disappeared."
Shizu let her gun drop to her side, and her brow furled.
"Go find Sebas-sama. I will inform Albedo-sama."
"Yes… Shizu-sama…" The maid stood back up, wiped her forehead, and started to run again. She turned a corner, and disappeared.
"Now then…" Shizu looks back towards the sniveling boy on the ground. "Get up. You're coming with me."
When Ainz-sama disappears, this boy dressed in his clothes shows up. Surely this isn't a coincidence…
Shizu starts to march off down a hallway, with the strange boy curiously, meekly, following her.
A/N
And thats it. Was it even one thousand words? I dunno, I wrote this on mobile. But it focuses on the annoying part that I had trouble with, writing the first interaction between Suzuki and a nazarick denizen. The actual stuff comes next chapter, and im looking forward to how it'll come out. I'm seriously hyped to write albedo.
