(A/N)
I know what your thinking, 'if you don't like Rwby, why did you waste all your time writing a fic on it?', and that is a perfect question to ask! First off allow me to explain the things I like about Rwby! I love the MUSIC! That shit goes hard as fuck and it might be 90% of the reason I loved the show so much when I first watched it. Another thing I love is the fight scenes and sequences when Monty, god rest his soul, was still active on the show. The animation was so smooth and interesting when he was animating them and honestly I still go back and re-watch them till this day, but that's really the only two things that I like about the show. I obviously love the world of Rwby, I love the idea of Rwby, I love the idea of the characters in Rwby, but literally everything else about the show is big poopy butt butt.
The writing in Rwby is god awful. The animation is shit tier but it got better and its apart of the charm of the original show, but there's no excuse for the writing. Everything about the writing is fucking terrible and I feel like you know what I mean so I have no reason to list out all of the terrible writing decisions that they made in the show. However I will still mention one, and that is the bullshit that they did with the White fang and Adam. I cannot explain how badly that shit turned me off to the show as a whole. Its probably because I'm black that it had so much weight, but honestly I cannot figure out how they created a group of minorities that were treated awfully in society and then, somehow, demonized the movement that was attempting to create equality. It was awful. Trash. Terrible. But, the music and fight scenes still banged and I loved the cast of characters, also the world as a whole is interesting as fuck! Also, Jaune is the worst written fictional character ever and he's such a bitch that I literally can't even think about his character without getting angry. It actually, legitimately baffles me that anyone would want to write a fanfiction about a character like him, but I digress. So, when I say that 'I don't like Rwby' I really mean to say that I don't like Rwby passed Volume 3. I love Volumes 1-3, but after that the music is not enough to carry the rest of Rwby. Obviously that's just for me personally and I understand that others really, really love the entirety of the show and I can respect that, but its just not for me. Although I still know literally everything about it and watch everything for the Music specifically, Casey Lee and Jeff Williams are gods for my ears, but I just don't like the show in its entirety. However, I did watch Ice Queendom and it was cool, although they took out the banger ass Music that made the OG so great. They made Jaune not dogshit which was cool and fleshed out some of the bodies a little better, at least so far. Sorry for writing this whole thing out and thank you for reading it if you did! Feel free to PM me if you got some hate to get off your chest because I bashed your favorite show or whatever lol.
Oh yeah, I wrote a fic about Rwby because I love the world, if you didn't catch up on that bit somewhere in the rambling paragraphs. Also because I didn't think it would take me 400,000 words to get through it all, but I guess it happened for better or for worse. If I had to exchange this Remnant arc for another anime it would've been Naruto. Also, its 420,000 and ongoing, I ain't even halfway done yet. I wanna kms.
Chapter 14: Rest and Relaxation
Rising over the horizon, the sun greeted the city of Vale with its warm rays of sunlight, waking some of the city's residence. As the sun began its rounds, another Vale citizen was already awake before the sun began showing its bright from. This citizen was an older woman approximately 35 years of age, with no grey hairs beginning to show their ugly heads in her long, red hair. She completed her morning routine, brushing her teeth, showering, getting dressed, and watering her plants before she grabbed her keys and purse as she headed out the door of her home. As she walked outside, she was greeted by the warm rays of the sun shining onto her face. "Another warm summer day in Vale, I wish this weather was permanent." She thought to herself as she unlocked her car and hopped into the driver's seat. She then pushed the start button, revving the engine ready for action, and she reversed out of her driveway and into the street. She drove along the streets as she did every morning greeting her various early bird neighbors as she made her way to work. The woman noted the quickness of the drive and checked the time as she pulled into the parking lot of her building.
The building that she parked in the parking lot of was a very classic, modern design that was seen all over the various shops in the commercial district in Vale. The building's front had large panned, clear glass windows that showed clear displays of the various items inside of the shop. It was a two-story building with the second story being used mainly for extra storage of the various products, but also as a main office where this woman usually did most of her work.
As she got out of her vehicle, another person rounded the corner on a bicycle. They peddled their bike into one of the racks and locked the bike in place. The older woman greeted the biker with a smile, "Good morning, Rouge. How are you feeling on this fine morning?"
The biker girl, identified as Rouge, waved back at the older lady and responded with a smile, "Good morning, Boss Woman! I'm doing great this morning! How about you?"
The Boss lady shook her head slightly, "I'm doing fine, but I thought I told you to stop calling me that. Miss Scarlet or just Scarlet is fine."
"Understood Boss Scarlet!" Rouge replied to her Bosses request with excitement. Scarlet on the other hand exhaled in slight exasperation as she chose to simply give up on the topic. The two-woman walked to the back entrance of the building and Scarlet unlocked the door, allowing them both to enter the store. As they entered the building, Scarlet and Rogue immediately got to work doing all the things necessary to open the store. The Boss Woman walked up to the second floor of her building and entered her office. As the woman walked inside, she hung her purse and coat on the rack that was by the side of her large oak desk. She moved behind said desk and sat down on her red chair, simultaneously turning on her computer, prepared to get back to work.
As she quickly typed in the password to her PC, she opened her various documents that she needed to fill out, emails she needed to reply to, and product orders she had to complete. It was a ton of work trying to run this business and it brought a lot of stress to her, but at the same time it has been the most fulfilling thing that Scarlet has ever done in her life. She treats her shop like her child, and she is extremely proud of what she has been able to accomplish since its first opening a decade and a half ago. Her store was called, 'From Diamonds to Dust' and it was becoming one of the more popular Dust shops in the commercial district. She sold various Dust products, including jewelry, raw crystals, powdered refillable canisters, the whole nine yards. Her popularity has been skyrocketing and the store has been booming in sales as well. Everything has been looking great for the future of DTD, the only issue that has arisen in recent years is the appearance of some gangs that have been trying to assert themselves on the Dust industry for weaponized power. However, none of these gangs have been able to do anything big, they keep each other in check and any robberies have been taken care of by the police and Huntsman when necessary.
Scarlet was finishing her thoughts on the progress of DTD's development when her positivism was broken by a panicking Rogue bursting through her office doors. "Miss Scarlet!" She yelled, breathing heavily as she walked quickly up to her desk.
Scarlet was surprised by her entry, and even more surprised by the way Rouge addressed her, so she held back nothing as she gave the girl her undivided attention. "What's wrong? Did something happen?" She spoke, calmly but alarmed.
At her bosses' tone, Rouge was able to calm herself down enough to give a thorough explanation as to why she was so panicked. "Well, I was counting inventory and setting up some of the Diamond displays like usual when I found this." As she spoke, she placed a pitch-black calling card onto Scarlet's desk. "I read through it and there is some nerve wrecking words on it. At first, I thought it might be a prank or something, but I don't know so I ran up here to tell you." Scarlet reached to pick the card up when Rouge suddenly yelled in warning, "Be careful! The sides of the card are insanely sharp, I already cut myself twice trying to pick it up."
"I understand Rouge, calm down. I don't plan on hurting myself anytime soon." Scarlet carefully slid the card up off the desk using a pen. She then grabbed the sturdy card from the center and brought it to her face for reading. "'I AM COMING! No harm will come to you if you do as I say. One, prepare an enormous amount of Dust, Vials, Crystals all of it. Two, count that inventory and prepare a retail cost for all MY Dust. Third, DO NOT contact any law enforcement agency, or you will be Punished Accordingly. You have one Week, abiding by my Rules will bring you fortune beyond belief, but Death comes to those that Refuse. Choose Wisely. The Grimm Reaper." As the Boss read the letter out loud, the rooms environment turned sour, and the two-woman let the threat sit in the air for a moment before speaking again.
Scarlet's mind moved with enormous speed, prepping and preparing a plan to counteract the threat, but the solution she came up with was not very satisfying. "This is a threat that we must take seriously. I am extremely glad that you told me about this, because we could be in huge trouble if we didn't."
Rouge looked at her boss with her nervousness growing more as the conversation continued. "Then what are we going to do?" She asked Scarlet.
"We are going to continue business this week as usual, selling as many expensive products as possible. I am also going to cancel the Dust orders for this next week to minimize the damage this does to our total inventory and profits. I highly doubt that we are the only store that received a card like this, however this information does not leave this room. And we will be doing as they demanded on next Saturday, am I understood?" Scarlet looked directly into her employee's eyes as she spoke, leaving no room for refusal.
Rouge instantly understood the importance of this matter and she nodded her head in affirmation while saying, "Yes ma'am I understand. This conversation won't leave this room." She responded with absolute seriousness.
Scarlets serious expression broke for a moment, and in its place a small smile formed. "Thank you so much Rouge, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you on my team."
"Of course! I am your right-hand woman after all!" Rouge replied energetically, breaking the tension in the air.
The Boss let a small chuckle escape her lips, as she watched the girl's antics. "Alright let's get back to work, this is going to be an incredibly busy week."
The girl looked at her boss with a bit of confusion, "what do you mean busy? Wouldn't business slow down with all these calling cards spreading around?"
"That is what may happen if every shop that got a card from the Grimm Reaper planned the same way we did, however I am predicting that, out of fear, most of the store owners will close their shops until further notice. They'll mostly try to hide most of the Dust product that they own and what they can't hide they'll give up to whoever wrote this crap. Damn." Scarlet clenched her fist in frustration. "Why is this happening now!" After the sudden outburst she exhaled a loud breath and began rubbing her temple to calm her running headache. "I just hope that this reaper guy isn't too ruthless, if they are we'll have to find a way to get some help. As the week goes on, I'll handle the important affairs so I'm going to need you to step up Manager Rouge, can you handle that for me?"
The manager looked at the Red-haired Boss woman in awe at her intellect, "I'll do my best Boss!" Was all she managed to respond with.
"I know you will. Now let's get back to work!"
"Yes Ma'am!" After that was said, Rouge made her way back down to the main store and finished her morning activities that were required for the store to open. As she did that, Scarlet focused on her job, sending out numerous emails and making a ton of calls to prep DTD for the newest threat to the store's survival. Even as the complications and stress increased from the sudden threat, for some reason she couldn't help but be excited at what was to come in the following week.
"The Grimm Reaper, what an interesting figure." With that last thought, Scarlet allowed herself to get lost in her work.
All around the city of Vale, situations like this were happening to every Dust shop owner. Employees, managers, and Owners alike cutting their hands and shitting their pants over the extreme threat that they had received in the form of a tough calling card. None of them ignored the threat, however most of them dealt with the encounter differently. Some simply chose to continue business as usual having no plans for the future simply praying that everything would be alright, some closed up shop and began collecting inventory that same day in hopes to appease the Grimm Reaper with their gifts in hopes that they'll leave them alone, and some closed shop entirely, putting their earnings on hiatus for the week hoping the whole situation would blow over. However, it didn't matter how they dealt with the threat because there was one thing they knew for certain, The Grimm Reaper was coming.
….
Nova sat in the clutches of two extraordinarily beautiful Faunus woman as they slept peacefully against his warmth. He took this excess time to do complete some tasks that he had yet to do, but he started his long cuddle session with taking in the details of the room. Starting with where he laid, Neyah was draped over his left shoulder with her head curling over top of his own. Her arms held tightly to his head and neck pulling him deeply into her bandaged breasts as they slept. Her left leg was placed over top his torso and crotch area, and every so often the Faunus would adjust her position slightly, thrusting her hips into his side. On the other side of his body, Nix cuddled her head warmly into the crook of his neck allowing her warm gently breaths of air to tickle his sensitive skin. She had her right arm over top of his chest tightly pulling him in an embrace, while her left arm was coddling his right holding strongly to the arm so he couldn't escape. Her legs were curled around his right leg, placing his thigh directly on her crotch. Every once in a while, Nix would mumble something in coherent and grind her heat against his thigh while nibbling slightly on the soft skin of his neck. Byakko rested comfortably curled up onto his chest in the small area between Nix's arm and Neyah's thigh.
The temporary room that they were staying in was basic. It had a general vide similar to that of a hotel room, in that there were two large beds that took up most of the space in the room, a larger TV as the wall's centerpiece, a couple desks in front of each bed, and one big bathroom that had dual sinks and a average sized shower. There was a microwave in the room, but no other kitchen appliances meaning that somewhere in the building there was more than likely a food hall or cafeteria. The walls of the room were a odd, in that they were a warm greyish color which matched the silver carpeting on the floors. The ceiling was white, which complimented the white bed sheets and greyish bed frame very well. Although the room gave off the 'hotel' vibe, it was clearly set up to be much more than that. It was modernized in a way that accentuated its advance-ness and made the guest feel like they were in a high-class location even if it wasn't high-class living space.
Nova then began using his excess time to do things he found far more productive than analyzing his surroundings. He started with converting all of his resources into stronger versions of themselves, for example turning Grimm claws, fangs, talons, and beaks into Grimm Material that he could use later. He proceeded to do this with all of his items including turning his various Dust forms into Crystals and Large Crystals thereafter. He continued with this process for a while, ending with the masks and cores he had acquired. Doing this he ended up with 1 Alpha Beowolf Core, 8 Large Beowolf cores, 7 normal Beowolf cores, 7 normal Nevermore cores, and some masks as change.
Going through the Beast Tamer menu he found that he was able to feed Byakko the materials through the System rather than feeding her outright, but he decided against it after remembering how much she enjoyed eating them the first time. While he was chilling in the Beast Tamer menu, he figured that he may as well summon another Beast. The reason he decided to summon another one so soon is simply because he needed something else to work towards, another progression goal to achieve in a timely manner. Leveling up is something that he is going to do regardless so it didn't feel like he was being very productive, and skill grinding had no true milestone in mind so there was no true end goal but trying to hatch a Beast egg was different. This was made even more clear now that he knew exactly what he was working towards and how he could get the egg to hatch. And he figured that since he got Byakko to hatch with pure luck, he wanted to use his skill and efficiency to hatch another one. His last reason was by far the most important, and that reason was the lack of use of Augmented Gold. After scouring the shop and asking squeezing Meta for all the information he could, he found absolutely ZERO purpose for the Gold that he acquired.
The shops most expensive items topped at around 100 AUG which sounds nice, but the issue is that all the items, including consumables, have a level lock on them. And the worst part is that the Level is so damn high that Nova can only, see ? instead of the actual level number. The most expensive item he found that had a level that he could read was an Ethereal Tear Drop consumable that cost 1 AUG, but the Level requirement was 1,000 so he knew he wasn't going to be eligible to use it any time soon. However, he found a way around this shitty System, and it was simple, just build your own shit. When making your own equipment, there is no Level Req. attached to the item by default, so if you have the materials strong enough to make it, you can create shit as strong as you wish. This loophole is why he had yet to buy Byakko any equipment, but that is a plan to be elaborated on another time.
So, he scrolled back down to the bottom of the LCC (Life Creation Center) and used another 10,000 AUG on the super duper, ultra-infinity rare plus star, banner thingy and summoned himself another Legendary Beast Egg. The animation that played this time was a bit different than the other one, this time the two Beasts that were ruthlessly attacking one another were both dragons, each of different origins. The first dragon looked more like a classic medieval dragon with the other being of Chinese origins with short stubby arms and a long snake like body. The two dragons fought in a seemingly endless sky shooting catastrophic blasts at each other, but neither attack did much damage to the other. All that changed as the two charged, what seemed to be, a massive all-out final attack in an effort to destroy each other. They fired the massive beams against one another, and their attacks clashed strongly against one another, forming a fierce beam struggle between the two dragons. They looked equally matched, as neither ones beams was able to overcome the other until something incredible happened. Amidst their beams, a small extremely light pink light began to shin through. This light grew and grew until the pinkish white light fully encompassed the endless sky. The center of the light began spinning violently, absorbing everything around it, sucking the two dragons into the black hole of pink and white leaving nothing left except for an incredibly light pinkish white egg floating in the center of the abyss.
Congratulations you've acquired a Beast Egg!
He examined the egg for a moment, before placing it in the incubator. "Now to do trial and error until I find a way to hatch you." He thought as he was placing the mysterious white egg in the incubator. Nova was about to begin some of his trial-and-error tests before Meta suddenly got his attention and brought a solution to his problem.
[Meta believes Meta knows how to hatch the egg!]
"Oh, word partner? Lay that solution on me then, it would be a great help!"
[Yessir! Meta thinks that you must absorb a certain number of enemies in order to hatch the egg!]
"Absorb? How exactly would I go about absorbing Grimm?"
[You would use any skills that absorbs the essence of your opponents! For example, you could use your Ability Devils Domain, or the skills Ruthless or Merciless!]
Nova'ss eyes lit up in recognition as he suddenly remembered the Ability that Meta was talking about. "Holy shit, I completely forgot about Devils Domain! Wait, isn't it an ability so shouldn't it activate automatically?"
[Normally it would, however Meta took the liberty of turning it into a more active Skill that you can turn on and off at will! Meta did this so you wouldn't accidentally kill random people you came across when walking around!]
"Meta, you are the best ever, and I don't deserve your kindness. However, I have one more question for you, how did you figure out the hatching method for this egg?"
[Meta believes that the hint to hatching the Legendary eggs is in the Legend that is shown as you acquire the egg! After not being able to help the first time, Meta thought really hard about the purpose of the Legend animations that are shown as you acquire the eggs and Meta figured that they must have importance! This Pale Pink egg absorbed everything around it in its Legend, so Meta believes that you must Absorb your Enemies! Byakko harshly defeated the Beasts in her Legend, so she required you to defeat a lot of enemies!]
"I love you so much Meta! You cared about helping me that much that you troubled yourself with analyzing the Gacha videos, you are the true G.O.A.T. I don't deserve your kindness, honestly, I wish I could give you an omega warm hug right now, but I guess you'll have to settle for this mental hug and my words."
[Meta Loves You Too! ]
After repeatedly thanking and giving mental hugs and kisses to Meta for a while, Nova moved onto his next task that he found was going to be considerably more difficult to accomplish than everything else he had done up until this point. His goal was to use the rest of this time of rest to create some magic skills using True Mana Manipulation, but there were a few issues with this goal. The first major issue with this goal is that he didn't have access to his hands which would definitely make the process a lot harder, the second major issue was the fact that he didn't want to wake up the two girls next to him. The first issue could be easily dealt with as he would just have to concentrate a bit harder to manipulate the mana the way he wanted to, but he could consider it extra training. The second issue was a bit more complicated for the simple reason of Nova not knowing whether, one the manipulated mana makes a ton of noise, and two he must activate the mana before he can gain it as a skill.
Despite the many risks involved, he decided to say fuck it and deal with the consequences of his actions later. And with that he began creating numerous skills using the mana in his own body as the source. He was extremely careful at first, slowly doing each step in the process as carefully as possible to make as little noise as possible and as soon as the spiraling ball of mana was formed and he got the skill Mana Ball, he instantly canceled the attack dissipating the mana across the room silently. After doing this a bunch more, he got really good at it and eventually he got the notification that he acquired two more titles.
*New* Titles Obtained: Master Silent Caster, Master Spell Canceler,
The Master Silent Caster skill allowed him to cast all of his skills in complete silence with no additional cost to the casting time or MP requirement. And Master Spell Canceler allowed him to instantly cancel any spell he had begun casting, also the mana that he put into the spell would return to him, not instantly but extremely quickly. And with these two new titles, he was able to freely create magical skills in the small room with no interruptions. And after repeatedly using the same skills over and over again, just repeatedly canceling them, he was able to level them up. Honestly, he felt like he was cheating, but he didn't really care that much.
*New* Skills Acquired: *Mana Bullet Storm* {Lvl: 3}- A Storm of Mana Bullets that barrages any target chosen by the attack; Cost 150mp
*Rifled Mana Arrow* {Lvl: 3}- A rapidly spinning powerful mana arrow that will instantly pierce through any target; Cost 150mp
*Mana Gash* {Lvl: 3}- A sword like strike formed with mana that can slice open any thing it encounters; Chance to Bleed; Cost 150mp
*Mana Hail* {Lvl: 3}- Massive groups of Mana Spirals form in the air surrounding your opponent and at your command they swoop in crushing them under the immense strength of the attack; Cost 250mp
*Kill Shot* {Lvl: 3}- By compressing a large amount of mana and rifling it to the max, you shoot an incredibly strong, highly pressurized beam of mana that pierces through anything it touches; When attacking a weak point Guaranteed Critical Strike; Cost 250mp
*Crush* {Lvl: 3}- By compressing large amounts of mana you are able to create an extremely heavy weight that you can place on your opponent, crushing them under its pressure; Cost 500mp
*Mana Drill* {Lvl: 3)- A strong spike of rifled mana shoots from the ground stabbing deeply into anything that is unlucky enough to be above it; Low Chance to Bleed; Low Chance to Pin; Cost 100mp
*Bind* {Lvl: 3}- Strong chains made from mana erupt from the ground wrapping themselves tightly around an opponent, leaving them helpless to retaliate; Causes Pin; Cost 100mp
*Barrier* {Lvl: 3}- Create a thick, strong layer of protective mana that can defend against almost anything; Cost 100mp
*Hakai* {Lvl: MAX}- ?; Cost 5000mp
While Nova didn't get as much done as he would've liked to, he was still satisfied with the excess times results, and he got to enjoy the amazing cuddles of both Nix and Neyah for 8 hours straight with no interruptions, except for when he almost destroyed half the campus by compressing all his mana into one spot, 5 times in a row. He just took a wild guess and assumed that the description to the attack would appear until he finally set it off, so he decided to be patient and wait for an opportunity to show it off. As he was about to try creating another skill, the girls that were holding tightly onto his body started rustling wildly.
Neyah began groaning, mumbling incoherently as she slowly rose from her slumber. On the other hand, Nix was mumbling and nibbling on Nova's neck as she slowly became conscious after the night of rest. The girls both slowly opened their eyes and they naturally moved to meet Nova's own. They were still half asleep, not fully comprehending their surroundings or situation, so Nova was the first to greet them. "Good morning my beautiful lovers. How was your sleep?"
At the comment, Nix and Neyah woke up completely, with Nix being the first to respond, "I had a phenomenal rest, Babe. It is amazing how restful sleep is when I am cuddled up against you."
Neyah followed up with, "Yeah, she's not wrong. Sleeping with you in my clutches is like sleeping for a month straight, but not waking up groggy at all. It's the most refreshing thing ever."
Nova gave the comment a thought, thinking it interesting that he had this effect on people. This was even more interesting considering the fact that he couldn't naturally fall asleep even if he wanted to. "I'm glad that I can provide you both with such great rest, but it is time to get up. It is already the afternoon, and I am sure that you both have things that gotta get done."
After he spoke, the group rose from the comfort of the warm bed and started their daily morning routines. Showering, brushing teeth, grooming hair, and for Nova, straightening up the room. After they completed the morning routine, the group headed down to the ground floor of the building where they were introduced to the campus's lunch menu. All they had to do was flash their pass and choose a meal, and we were set down at a rounded booth table eating within minutes.
Byakko refused the food that was placed in front of her, so instead Nova pulled the various Grimm related items from the inside of his jacket and placed them overtop the food that she was given. Byakko's face lit up in excitement, as she began devouring the Crystals, leaving nothing left. As she finished, she moved from her spot on the comfortable bench to her favorite spot, her masters lap.

"We're so fucking CLOSE! One more night of exploration and it'll be complete."
As the girls ate, he decided to ask them some questions about what they were going to do before the semester officially started, since he was curious about what exactly happens around this time of year. "So, I know I said that you guys had stuff to do, but what exactly do you have to do? Is there a schedule you have to adhere to, or can you just wonder the campus doing whatever you want?"
Nix swallowed a portion of her meal, wiped the oil off her lips with a napkin, and responded to her loves question. "Most students who come to the school early use this time to train using the various facilities that the school provides. They do this in hopes of being placed in a higher ranked class for their first year at Beacon."
Nova looked questioningly at Nix, "what do you mean by class ranks?"
Neyah was the one to respond as she scarfed down a massive amount of meat and potatoes, "all huntsmen are not created equal." She began, "at Beacon, and I think the other huntsman schools, there is a rank system that separates the stronger students from the weaker ones. In order from highest to lowest the class ranks are, 'S', 'A', 'B', 'C', and 'D'. The ranks are initially mostly determined by this dumbass system that places you based on your school transcript. It's basically like your official resume of your skill as a huntsman. The fucking problem with the system is that if you don't have a resume or school transcript then you automatically get placed in D-Rank."
Neyah's anger grew the more she discussed the topic, so Nix chose to step in and explain the rest. "Yes, this is how the initial ranking system works, and for students that attend schools on the main continent it is a fair and accurate way of ranking them. However, for people that live in Menagerie, compulsory schooling is not required. In our culture, most families teach their own children about the essential information that they need to be successful in life. In other words, 90% of the Faunus that live in Menagerie are home schooled. It helps us since people tend to know what career they want to pursue at a young age, but if you want a career as a huntsman, it is incredibly hard to get accepted. And even if you do you will more than likely be placed in an extremely low Rank, like 'D' or 'E.'"
"I thought that 'D' was the lowest Rank?"
Neyah picked up the question, "it's the lowest official rank. 'E' is basically a prove it rank where you have to complete various courses and eventually fight your peers in hopes of being accepted into the school. Which sound aight on paper, but almost all the 'E' rankers are Faunus, so they just end up competing against each other. That's why there are no fucking Faunus at any of the schools!"
Nix corrected her sister saying, "its not there are no Faunus at any of the other schools, there are just very little. However, the ones that manage to conquer the challenges that come with applying and getting accepted to an Academy, end up very high ranked. Therefore, we chose to apply to Beacon, because they have a few systems in place to allow students to Rank up based on their own merit. The most important of which is the reason that most students choose to train during their free time before the semester begins."
"Novice Huntsman Summer League!" Neyah yelled out the name loud enough for everyone in the cafeteria room to hear them. Turning everyone's attention to them for a moment, before they all went back to eating and talking amongst themselves. "The NHSL is a massive tournament for all incoming freshman that allows them to show off their skills. If you place high in the tourney, then you get ranked up!"
Nix chuckled a bit at her sister's comment, "while that is true, it is a bit more complicated than that. Hundreds of examiners are present during the League and even if you lose, if you show great skill or potential, you may be Ranked Up off that as well."
Nova took in all this information and processed it quickly in his brain, coming up with a bunch of different ideas based on this idea. "I'm guessing that the two of you will be participating in this tournament, right?" At his question, they both nodded their heads. "Right, so what rank are you guys right now?"
"'B'/'B'" They both responded sounded peeved at the topic.
He decided to tread lightly on this topic of discussion seeing their response to his innocent question. "When does the Summer League start anyway?"
Neyah responded first in an unsure tone, "I think it started already."
Nix deadpanned a bit at her sister's response, "technically it did begin already, but not in the way you might believe. Because of the thousands of students that participate in the freshman league, they are separated into 64 different pools, with the winner of each of those pool tournaments competing in the larger Novice Summer Tournament that takes place towards the end of the Sumer. This event is one of the biggest not only in Vale, but also all of Remnant, second only to the Vytal Tournament."
Neyah picked up where she left off, "fuck yeah! And we are going to stomp these weak ass freshmen into the dirt as we conquer this tournament!"
Nova and Nix, both chuckled at her enthusiasm, with Nix explaining further. "That is exactly what we'll do. But first we must win our Pools, and I am in pool 26 with Neyah in pool 55. My Pool begins tomorrow at noon, and I'll have to beat 6 opponents to win my pool. Day 1 will have battles up to top 8, with the rest of the pool taking place the day after."
"Interesting." Was all Nova could comment as the gears in his mind began moving rapidly. He thought of hundreds of different things he could do to help them be ready for the upcoming Summer League. "It sounds like you both need some training." A earie grin made its way across his face as he spoke.
The grin made Nix slightly nervous, but Neyah met his grin with a wild smile. As his grin widened, Neyah said, "finally! Darling, I've been wanting to test your strength since the day I met you. I cannot wait to battle you." She said this while seductively licking her lips, clearly incredibly excited by the idea of a fight with Nova.
He met her crazed smile with his own, "then what are we still doing here. Let's get active!"
Chapter 15: Training Begins
The group slid from behind the booth, thanking their waitress, and exited the restaurant like cafeteria. They then exited the building and followed Nix as she led them to one of the massive buildings closest to the east side of the campus. The structure was a large arena shaped building with a domed top. There were multiple-colored flags that draped across the sides of the building decorating its exterior. Traffic around the building was heavy, as there were several different groups people entering and exiting the massive arena.
As they entered the structure, Nix began explaining the importance of this building, "this place is known as Beacon Battle Arena, but most people just call it the Training Room. It's mostly used for the practical training of students, as there are many large-scale battle rooms that teachers can use to control the environment of the room and pit their students up against one another or even some captured Grimm. However, we are using this place for its other purpose. There are also, hundreds of private rooms that can be used for the students' own purposes." Nix exhaled a long breath as she spoke the last part of her explanation. "We will be using the room, to fight one another in hopes of improving our own strengths." As she spoke, Nova could easily read that Nix was not looking forward to the training, but he couldn't immediately figure out why, so he chose to revisit the topic later.
The group walked up to one of the open machines and Nix registered three people for a Private Battle Room. As she input the amount of people and the time they would be spending in the room, she inserted her temp card into slot on the bottom of the machine. The screen loaded for a moment, showing the Beacon logo spinning, before it showed that a few of the rooms were available. From there she selected the closest one, and the directions to get to the room was automatically transferred onto her scroll.
The group walked and talked all the way to the private room, while Nova continued admiring his surroundings. As they approached the room it had the number 432 plastered on the front of the door, like a hotel room. The exterior of the room was entirely black with a long horizontal window spanning across it showing the interior. In the hallway, hundreds of these identical rooms were placed right next to each other. The clear window's length ended as soon as the next rooms door began, and that door was connected to that rooms window. It was a slightly trippy sight to see all these identical rooms with people battling and training inside of them, but no sounds were heard.
Nix swiped her temp card onto the door, and it slowly rose from the ground, barring them entrance into the battle place. The room was extremely well lit, with an entirely white flooring and grey tiled walls, making the room look like the training room of almost any fighting game ever. On the inside, the window had a holographic timer that showed the exact amount of time that the group had left in the private room. It showed, '1;59;56', identifying that they had about two hours left in the room. As Nova and Nix started to look around the room, Neyah was beginning to get impatient, saying "We clearly don't have a ton of time, so let's get shit poppin!"
She sounded a bit brash, but Nova agreed with her sentiment. In two hours, he would be able to improve his strength greatly by leveling up in dungeons and such, but for them improvement probably came much slower, so they had to use this time wisely. "Yeah, Neyah your right, lets get started. This is how we're gonna do it though, we'll start with one on ones, you guys versus me, to let me get a grasp on your abilities and find out what you both need to work on. And since your so antsy, Neyah, you'll be first."
"It's about fuckin time! Just letting you know; I won't be holding back just because I love you!"
A small chuckle escaped his lips as he heard her statement, "I sure hope not."

*Warrior's Manifestation (Semblance)*- By concentrating deeply, Neyah can manifest her Aura into any weapon she wishes. Due to her mastery of this ability, she can create these weapons on a dime, and can even send them to do attacks without her touching the Aura weapons for a short period of time.
Looking closely at her status, Nova decided to make a change in this training session, not only to make the battle more pitched, but also help himself improve as well. "Meta, can you disable the Attribute boost my equipment is adding to me?"
[Yessir!]
"And if you can, make sure no skills I use do too much damage, I don't want to accidentally hurt her."
[Meta will ensure Neyah's Safety!]
"Thanks, lil homie!"
As soon as the effect took place, he could feel himself get weaker, but he still felt confident enough in his skill to outmatch Neyah in hand-to-hand combat. However, that wasn't the only handicap that he placed on himself for this battle. The other one was no magic. Not only would it be hard to explain away if he started shooting Pink mana everywhere, but it would also ruin the integrity of the battle. As he would probably be able to beat them a little to easy if he could shoot mana bullets and arrows as he attacked simultaneously.
As he finished his final thoughts, Neyah crouched down while drawing her long spear from her back. She activated her strong Aura, and it surrounded her form in a shield like veil. "You better hurry the fuck up and use that Aura, I don't wanna accidentally kill my mate before we create cubs."
Nova's eyes widened slightly at her statement, "Cubs?! Wait that's not the important bit. I do remember people in Rwby using their Aura as protection, so they don't take damage directly. But my Aura fuckin sucks! But imma have to use it if we're gonna fight, it's the traditional way to determine when someone is unable to battle." As he completed his thought, he felt around his body for his Aura, and pushed it out from his pores forming a Pink barrier around his body.
Congratulations! You have unlocked Shield!
'Shiva's Love' Shield Activated!
Suddenly, a golden barrier erupted from his body, placing itself over his Aura. The golden shield acted exactly like his Aura and covered his body head to toe in its cloak of protection. Because of the Aura like protection, he was able to return his own Pink Aura back into his own body so he could focus entirely on its offensive uses.

"That's pretty cool Darling, I've never seen anyone with two Aura colors before!" Neyah said as she felt her mates powerful Aura. "But it's not going to change the outcome of this fight at all." Neyah's eyes were now fixed onto her mates refusing to break eye contact. Her breath steadied and her entire form focused on the man in front of her, no longer seeing him as a lover, but as an enemy.
Nix wore a nervous expression as she watched her sister's battle lust took over, shifting her from a loving sibling to a battle-hardened warrior. It was a trait that she both admired and feared about Neyah, but right now she was nervous for the safety of the two people she cared about most. However, she shook the negative thoughts from her head and stepped far aside to give the two space to spar. Byakko ran to her and laid herself down by Nix's feet, watching her master prep for battle. Nix cleared her throat to grab the mental attention of the waiting battlers, "Neyah, are you ready?"
"Hell Yeah!" She responded eustatically.
"Nova are you ready?"
"Yes ma'am!"
"The fight will be considered finished once the Aura of one of you has reached red, anything else is completely allowed. You two will begin battling as I say go, do I make myself clear?" The two participants nodded their heads in affirmation. "Right. Please don't hurt each other too badly. Let the battle commence! Go!" As soon as the words left her lips, Neyah was on her feet lunging at Nova. She reached his form incredibly fast leaving him little time to react to her attack.
She swung her spear downwardly slashing at him, but he saw this coming, so he was able to dodge back just in time. Neyah didn't allow him much breathing room, as she immediately followed that swing up by dashing towards him again. She attempted to stab him with a thrust from her spear, using the momentum of her dash to her advantage, but her spears tip was met with a clash as it clanged against a hard fist.
Nova was able to counteract her spear with a strong punch I hopes that he may be able to parry the strike, however that didn't happen. Neyah remained unfazed by the clash and broke the encounter by pulling back her spear and thrusting it forward in a barrage of stabs that Nova, due to his handicap, was unable to bear. "Shit," he thought as he was forced to leap out of the way of her rapid spear thrusts. It took a moment for Neyah to recover from her attack which was not unnoticed by Nova. The moment his feet reached the ground, he closed the distance between the two of them, using the range of her spear against her.
He got extremely close into her guard and thought, "Cross-Up, Shotgun Blow" as the skill was activated his right fist reeled back and shot forward at Neyah. In response, she put up her guard to block the punch, feeling unable to dodge, but the punch never came. Instead, Nova's punch was seemingly canceled mid-flight giving way for his left hand to grab tightly to her neck and pull her forward. His now free right fist turned its momentum from over hand punch, to rising uppercut as his fist smashed into her core. Then, unexpectedly, a Pink fist appeared right behind the first and following the initial strike it smashed itself in the same spot as the first punch. The second strike was a lot weaker than the first, but their combined strength left Neyah feeling a bit soar in the moment. However, despite the strength of the combined punches her Aura didn't waver.
Feeling the need to create a bit of space Nova quickly followed the attack with another skill, "Brutal Throw." Using his fist that was lodged in her torso, he lifted her off the ground and threw her a good distance away, with the assistance of his Semblance, the throw went a bit further than he had intended. Neyah soared through the air eventually reaching its stopping point as she slammed into the far wall of the training room.

For about half a second, Nova felt a bit bad for what he had done to one of the girls he held dearly. However, that feeling left as the instant she hit the ground she hopped back up, changing her spear into a bow. She pulled back the empty bow string and formed a sharp white arrow using her Semblance Warrior's Manifestation. As Nova saw her prepped arrow, he used a skill of his own to counter it, "Pressure Punch!" He quickly crouched into a stance that accentuated his punching form, and as soon as Neyah released the Aura arrow, he rocketed his fist forward causing two following balls of pressured air to soar through the sky rapidly approaching the glowing white arrow. The strength of the fist caused two loud thunderous claps to echo throughout the room, shocking Nix with the sound.
The duo of pressurized air and strong aura arrow met each other in the center of the room, with the Arrow piercing through the initial pressure punch, but clashing for a moment with the other. However, the Half-Time driven ball of air was unable to match the Arrows strength and it shot through, speeding towards Nova's form. Nova watched as the arrow grew closer and closer to his face, but he was able to duck the Aura just barely due to its speed being decreased from the clashing skill. "Damn that was a close one" was what he thought, as he looked across the training room at Neyah who began grinning menacingly. She then pulled back her bow again, this time forming three arrows within in it, and she then shot them unceremoniously at her lover. "Shit! Pressure Punch, Pressure Punch, Pressure Punch" He rapidly shot the pressured air forward, clashing them with each of her approaching arrows. Now that he knew the effect of the clash, he was able to preemptively dodge the strikes. However, what he did not account for was Neyah to immediately follow those arrows with 4 more which caught him off guard. He was unable to dodge, but the slowdown from the pressure punches wouldn't be enough to dodge the incoming attack. He was about to result using another skill, when he heard a small ding in the back of his mind.
Pay Up!
A massive grin found its way across his face as he spoke four more skills into existence, "Pressure Punch, Pressure Punch, Pressure Punch, Pressure Punch" the pressurized balls of air shot forward with equally strong balls of air following each one. The arrows clashed with the skill on the side of the battlefield closest to Nova, but as they shredded through the initial air balls, they were met again with the ones formed by Overtime. As the two clashed, the glowing white arrows were crushed under pressure, shattering like glass in the air.
Neyah quickly realized she could no longer zone her opponent out, so she turned her weapon back into a spear, and transformed them further into dual wielded spear heads. As she was doing that, Nova sprinted at her, immediately following the smashing of her Warrior Manifestation. As he rapidly approached, she prepared to dodge his incoming attack by crouching low and bolstering her feet so she could easily move in any direction.
On the other hand, Nova was prepared to end this battle with this skill. He gained more and more speed with each small step and with this speed came increased strength in his next skill, and when he felt it was enough, he activated it, "Speared Drop!" As he reached the halfway point between the center of the room and Neyah's location, he leaped into the air and put his feet together in drop kick formation. He flew through the air like an arrow quickly approaching Neyah's prepared form, but the instant she saw Nova approaching her, goosebumps ran down her spine. He was approaching far faster than he should have been, and her body instinctively knew that she needed to get the fuck out of the way. Neyah then used all the strength she could manage to dive out from the trajectory of deadly attack. She made it out with moments to spare, and she watched as Nova's feet careened into the wall of the training room with force that she had never seen. As his feet touched the wall, it immediately caved under the immense pressure of his attack, causing a large crater to immediately form under his feet. A large BOOM echoed across the room, and the entire hallway shook and trembled under the strength of his attack, however the worst was yet to come. As his feet connected, two more Aura made, Pink feet slammed into the wall at the same speed with the same strength, deepening the crater immensely and shacking the building further.
Critical Strike! {8760 DMG!}
{8760 DMG!}
As his skills attack was complete, Nova used the wall as a foothold and jumped from it, soaring threw the room, and aiming himself directly at his rising opponent. He took a slight notice to the effects of his kick but determined that it was not of much importance to him now. And as he flew threw the air, he created another plan to end the battle. "Ferocious Tackle" was the skill he settled on and as the skill activated, he dove quickly to the ground, wrapping his arms around Neyah and bringing her down to the ground under him.
As he laid across her, he immediately took notice that the white Aura around her was blinking, and a small smile made its way across his face. "I win" was what he whispered into her ear as he kept her pinned to the ground beneath him.
The air was still for a moment, neither Nix nor Neyah said anything, and the girl that he found himself on top of began trembling slightly. Panic instantly shocked its way through Nova's body as he realized what may have happened. The Speared Drop was a critical hit, the damage that it did to the wall was extremely evident to everyone in the room even without them knowing the specific number value that was assigned to them. The impact that the attack had on Neyah was now obvious to him. Fear. The fear that the soaring drop kick would be the last sight that she would ever see. The fear that she would never be able to accomplish her vengeance. The fear that she could have died at the hands of her lover.
All of this came crashing down into Nova's mind as immediately tried his best to comfort Neyah. "Oh my god Neyah I'm so sorry! Are you alright? Do you any help from me? I's so fucking sorry! I swear to you, if that attack would've hit you, it wouldn't have done nearly as much as it did to that wall. I am so fucking sor-"Nova couldn't finish his final thoughts as Neyah's trembling hands quickly wrapped themselves around his head, and her lips crashed roughly into his own.
The kiss was intense and sloppy, with Neyah roughly inserting her tongue into his mouth. She lapped heavily, tasting every surface of her mate's mouth before she suddenly broke the kiss allowing steamy saliva to drool from their lips. Neyah quickly drank up all the excess spit that escaped from the intense kiss and she licked her lips to savor the taste of her mate's enthralling orifice. As Nova recovered from the intense showing of love, the only word that managed to escape from his lips were "Huh?"
Neyah responded by wrapping her legs around his waist tightly bring him closer to herself, and she whispered into his ears, "Babies, cubies, mini Nova's, I want them. I want you to put a baby in me right now. I can't take it anymore; I want you to fill up my heat with your hot load and make me pregnant. I want to walk around with a swollen belly, caring and nursing your child in my womb. Please, please, please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeaaaassssseee gimme your babies."
Nova looked down at the horny mess that was Neyah in immense confusion. "Wait you're not afraid? I almost took your head off with a drop kick from hell, and you're not fearful at all?"
"Of course, not Darling, I'm so fucking turned on right now, who wouldn't be after a showing of strength like that." Neyah responded innocently.
"So lemme get this straight, you're not scarred, you horny?" Neyah nodded her head letting Nova know that all his worry was for nothing. "Oh, thank fucking god. I was scarred shitless. I thought that you got scared that I could've killed you or something, and I panicked. I honestly thought that you might get so scarred you'd end up not loving me anymore."
Neyah completely snapped out of her aroused state as she heard the words that came from Nova's mouth. In response, she clasped her lips around his in a chaste kiss before she broke the sudden kiss and began glaring deeply into his eyes. "Don't you ever say a goddamn thing like that ever again! FUCKING EVER! I could never stop loving you, even if you killed me in cold blood my love for you wouldn't waver for even a moment. For you to even think that my unconditional love and undying loyalty could be compromised even in the slightest bit is the biggest insult that you could EVER say to me or Nix. So, you better make fucking sure shit like that never ever touches that sexy brain of yours or we are going to have a serious issue. You got me?"
Nova looked at Neyah with shock as he was scalded by his lover, but that shock soon turned to a beaming smile as he responded with "yes ma'am."
Neyah's smile returned to her face as she heard his reply, and she responded with a light "Good boy" as she moved her hands to head giving him light comforting head pats. The pair then laid on the ground for a moment longer, sharing chaste kisses before getting up from their position on the ground. As they got up, Neyah playfully slapped her man on the ass and said, "Imma still need my fucking Cubs sometime soon alright!"
Nova flinched slightly at the comment and chuckled as he responded with, "I see what I can do about that." The group had a laugh at the comment, with Nix and Byakko joining in on the conversation.
Nix joined in with, "Baby, you are truly incredibly strong! I never thought that you'd be able to show such power again after you saved us in our initial meeting." Nix spoke as her glowed brightly in love and admiration.
"It really wasn't much, besides Neyah's speed was by far more impressive. And plus" he turned to Neyah as he spoke," your versatility with your Semblance is fantastic. I know that you weren't able to show much, but you came up with a solid strategy to deal with my close-range pressure. If I hadn't been able to use those pressure punches and my Semblance didn't pay up, then you would've had me."
A light bulb suddenly went off in Neyah's head, "Oh yeah, I keep forgetting to ask you. What is your Semblance? It's dope as fuck, but I kinda get confused when I think about it." Nix looked like she had a similar question rolling around her head.
"I can't believe I never explained it. My Semblance is called Overtime, and it essentially just uses my Aura to follow up after whatever attack I do. Also, the more often I use it consecutively the stronger the follow up attack is, but it will also take more Aura to use. Whenever the strength gets upgraded, I call it a Pay Up."
Nix replied quickly, "Wow! That's an amazing Semblance. In comparison, my Semblance is far less reliable in combat."
Nova looked at her confusingly wondering what she could mean by 'not combat reliable.' "Her Semblance is a mass debuff and the Bell is also a mass buff, that's an overpowered combination. If anything, that's probably the most combat reliable Semblance that there is, especially when dealing with mass group of Grimm. I think that you're discounting yourself, I believe that your Semblance is amazingly useful, especially in combat."
"No, no, no, you are giving me far too much credit. All my Semblance does is slow people down, it's not all that impressive." Now Nova knew for sure that she was just misinformed, because if all it did was slow people down the description wouldn't use the term 'weaken', but now he had to figure out a way to tell her that.
"How about we have that quick spar now so I can show you how combat reliable you truly are." Now Nix's nervousness was showing heavily across her face and body. She shook slightly, her skin started to secrete sweat, and Nova could actually hear her heart beating a mile an hour as he proposed the battle.
Nix's first reaction was to avoid the situation entirely, "I-I-I don't th-think that is very necessary Baby. You have already exerted lots of energy in your battle against my sister, I don't believe that it would be very fair to you if we sparred after such an event."
For a moment, Nova thought about refuting her points one by one, but then he figured that she would more than likely just come up with new points leaving them with no gained ground. So instead, he chose the more direct route by asking, "why don't you want to fight, or train for that matter Nix?"
Her nervousness peaked in that moment, and her immediate reaction was to deny the acquisition, "what are you talking about Babe? "She managed to say without stuttering, but her tone remained shacky at best.
"Nix" Nova gently grasped her chin and turned her head to his own, forcing her to look into his own eyes, "you don't have to lie to me. I love you, and I am never going to stop loving you regardless of what you say. With that being said, I know that you have been nervous ever since we brought up training at lunch today and you've been much shyer and hesitant since then. So, what is the issue?"
Tears began welling up into her eyes as she heard her man's words, and she chose to speak the truth to him. "I am not strong. I have never been strong, and I never will be! It doesn't matter how hard I try or how much I practice; I can never punch as hard as Neyah! I will never run as fast as Neyah! I am a completely useless version of my sister." At this point Nix was crouched on the ground, hands cupping her face, sobbing into her hands. Neyah immediately went to comfort her sister, wrapping her arms around her in a tight embrace as she continued to pour her heart out. "The only reason I am even relevant is simply because I was given The Lady of the Snow. Without this weapon I am trash! I am nothing. Even if you'll still love me regardless of my strength, I couldn't bear knowing that I am just a weakling clinging onto both of your great strength. I want to be useful; I want you to love me for me as well as for my strength, but if I have no strength to love than I'd rather be dead. I didn't want you to learn of my weakness that is why I was so nervous about training."
After Nix finished her heartful speech on why she felt the way she did, Nova was stuck in his mind trying to understand why she thinks this way. His mind moved rapidly coming up with multiple theories and solutions to the issue that he was confronted with, but only one seemed like the correct move. "Hit me."
Nix sniffled as she recomposed herself, "huh?"
"I said hit me. Stand up and punch me with all your strength." Nix was incredibly confused and extremely nervous as she heard her mates request, but because it came from him, she couldn't decline. She slowly rose to her feet while wiping her face of the last bit of the tears that found themselves clinging to her gorgeous face.
"Okay, please try not to be too disappointed in me my love." As soon as Nix finished her sentence, she pulled her fist back and with perfect form swung it forward connecting solidly against Nova's golden Aura.
{-0 SHD!}
Tears began forming back into her eyes as she shakily said, "see, I warned you my love. I am weak."
Nova ignored her comment as his mind continued to move, "turn your bell into a dagger and cut me with it as hard as you can. Don't ask, just do it please."
"The results will remain the same Baby, but I will oblige." Nix then did as she was told and turned the Bell into a blade. She then raised the blade and brought it down against Nova as strongly as she could.
{-0 SHD!}
As he felt the blade rub itself up against his Aura, the gears in his mind suddenly clicked. He knew exactly how to solve this little strength issue that Nix was having, but it would require a bit of resource that he was more than willing to use to help his lover. "Nix may I see that blade that you are holding for a moment?" Nix handed over the dagger with no hesitation, and as soon as it reached Nova's hands he got to work. "Meta, can you open up the forge for me please."
[Yessir!]
As soon as the forge was open, Nova went through certain options and upgrades he could use for the weapon and after a little bit of a search he found what he was looking for. It was a little stat called Attribute Entrenchment. This seemingly small mechanic was extremely important, and its function was to determine what Attribute to base damage off. For example, what the system called 'Magic Skills' were simply skills with its Attribute Entrenched in INT, and 'Physical Skills' are skills with its Attribute Entrenched in STR. Essentially, Attribute Entrenchment is synonymous with 'Based on' and 'Scaled off of' or whatever other terminology the System uses. However, when it comes to weapon forging it is identified as Attribute Entrenchment, and it just so happens that The Lady of the Snow is a bit weird in its Entrenchment. The Bell and Gun form are both Entrenched in INT, however the dagger form is Entrenched in STR. It just so happens that Nix's STR is exceptionally low, however her INT is the exact opposite and is exceptionally high. So, all Nova had to do was change the Attribute Entrenchment on the Dagger form which costed him 1 AUG, ouch, and it was all set problem solved.
However, once he paid the cost, it had an unintended effect on the weapon and Nix as a whole. "Here you go Nix," is what he said as he handed the fixed weapon back to her, "what I would like you to do is cut me with the blade again, but this time I want you to focus more on your Aura than your muscles." That last bit about the Aura was kind of a bluff. While it may help her get into contact with her INT more, he only really said it so that she could have a plausible reason for the weapon to suddenly do so much damage.
"I understand" Nix said as she prepped the blade for another swing.
"This is gonna hurt like a bitch" was the only thought that crossed his mind as Nix brought her blade down onto Nova's golden Aura. She expected nothing to change, but for whatever reason she could feel the intense strength of her swing as she began the downward arc of her swing. As she noticed the feeling, she stopped her swing right before the dagger contacted her lovers, Aura. "Nix, why'd you stop?"
Nix's face lit up like lights in Christmas time as she dashed up to her lover and wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace. "Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I love you so much Baby!" He tried his best to feign confusion, but it clearly wasn't working on Nix. "I have been training with this weapon for years and it has never felt like this in my hands before. You may say 'focus on your Aura', but you cannot fool me Mr. You definitely changed this dagger in some way, and I may not know how you did it, but I am extremely thankful to you for it."
He was somehow immediately found out, but since he was found out, he may as well explain how she can put it to use since there was no need for the secrecy. "All I did was make the weapon suit your strength more than it did before. The power of the sword is 100% still based on you. But that's not all, how about you try to punch something and tell me how it feels."
Nix looked a bit confused, but as she started shadow boxing with the air, she could feel the difference. That was the other effect of changing the Attribute Entrenchment of the Dagger form, it also changed the Entrenchment of her base attacks to INT as well. As she finished destroying the surrounding air with her Int based punches, she turned to Nova with glowing eyes admiration and curiosity. "How?!"
That was all she said, but her simply question rang with a seemingly infinite complexity to it. He thought for a moment on how to respond, but he ended up deciding that it was a conversation for later for a multitude of reasons. "I can't exactly explain it right now. I'm sorry, but it'll be a lot to take in and you guys should both be focused on winning this tournament. I promise that I'll tell you both in full detail about my origins, my abilities, and everything else you want to know, but for now I am going to have to reluctantly keep it a secret."
Both Nix and Neyah were surprisingly completely unbothered by his statement replying with extreme understanding. Nix was first by saying, "don't worry Baby! I understand completely and I appreciate that you are looking out for the both of us. You are free to explain whenever you wish, I honestly wouldn't mind if chose to keep it a secret, since I would love you with all of my heart regardless."
Neyah followed up with, "yeah, I don't really give a fuck honestly. I do wanna know how you grew up and stuff, but I'm more interested in the person you are now then how you were. It would still be cool to know how you can easily shatter walls and shake the building like an earthquake while holding back."
"Holding back?" he said, slightly confused.
"Yeah, holding back. What? You thought I couldn't tell? I didn't notice when you originally came to our room cause I was too sleepy, but I felt it when I woke. Hell, even Nix felt it! You were a bunch stronger than you were when we drank that delicious cum of yours."
"You didn't have to use that time as the benchmark of strength but ok" he interjected with. "Please continue."
"Yeah, like I was saying you got a fuck ton stronger in one night which was hot. And right before we started our little sparring session, I could feel your power decrease a bunch. I honestly thought that you were insulting me, saying that I wasn't strong enough and you were gonna go easy on me, but then you punched me really hard in the gut and I immediately knew that you were challenging yourself as well. Then I saw you destroy that wall and realized that you were also doing it so I didn't die in one punch. Which is incredibly sweet." A small blush crept its way onto her face as she whispered out the last bit.
Nova looked at Neyah completely awe struck and unintentionally said, "you are incredibly smart."
Neyah's face exploded in red, and her ears turned an extremely deep crimson as she tried to explain away her deduction, "No I'm just a dumb battle freak, I'm not that good in the brain department. You don't have to flatter me; I am already madly in love with you so stop with the false compliments."
He immediately disputed her statement with, "I'm serious, you are incredibly smart! Your ability to deduce conclusions from random bits of information is incredible! Plus, you have a crazy high fighting IQ, and you can figure shit out easily in the middle of a fight. It is incredibly impressive. Honestly, you both are. I'm the luckiest guy in the world to always have two beauties like you by my side, and an adorable and extremely loyal tiger cub that is always willing to back me up." Byakko yipped loudly as she leaped into Nova's arms, and the group shared a warm embrace to appreciate each other's existences.
The group hug ended as Nova looked over to the time and it read 1;29;26 showing an hour and a half left until they had to give up the room. He looked over his group and started speaking, "Ok, it's already been a half an hour and we've only gotten a single spar in. But we did fix Nix's weapon and punching problem, so I'll consider this first bit of time a success. However, Nix, your pool begins tomorrow so we still got a bit of work to do before You are completely ready to decimate your competition. So, we are going to start with a quick spare with the same rules as before, and then well move to specifics to help improve both of your combat prowess. That sound like a plan?"

"Yeah/Understood!" The group then got to work, with Nix and Nova stepping onto separate sides of the now semi tattered training room. The battle went very similarly to the one between him and Neyah as Nix was easily able to keep him out with the pistol form of her weapon. The Bullets from Nix's handgun were far faster than Neyah's bow and Aura arrows, so it was slightly more difficult for him to get in. With his nerfed speed the only reason he was able to smoothly dodge the attacks was because of Nix's tendency to telegraph where she was going to shoot. It dawned on Nova as he watched her shooting that she was easily able to shoot precision shots because she predicted how her opponent would move. This strategy was ineffective against him because of his naturally reactive fighting style was, so he was able to throw off her predictions using various feints. Once she finally noticed how he kept dodging her shots she adjusted accordingly, trying to shoot where he was instead of where he was going to be, however it was too little too late as Nova was able to quickly close the distance using his triple jump.
He quickly bounced off the walls to not create too much suspicion and generate more height than usual. As he reached the triple jump apex, he began crashing towards the ground using another one of his newer skills, Meteor Fall. For a moment, Nix shot blast after blast into his falling form, but his strength overcame the precision shots, and he came crashing into the ground regardless. The blast from his attack did a decent amount of damage to her, but Nix was able to avoid most of the damage by guarding with her weapon and leaping backwards out of the center of the attack. But since her lover had managed to close the distance, she transformed her weapon into the bell and rung it loudly. The instant he heard the song from the ringing Bell he felt the effects and what he saw surprised him greatly.
You are being affected by Panthera Frostbite -10% to All Attributes
"What the fuck is this?! 10% decrease to all Attributes, that's fucking crazy! Maybe she thinks that it only slows people down because she ends up defeating them before she even realizes that they also take more damage, deal less damage, have less Aura, have less health, are dumber, and have shit fucking luck!" He pocketed the information in the back of his mind and continued his rush down assault on Nix. While in close range, she was able to expertly use her dagger to fend off his attacks most of his basic attacks. She didn't fall for any of the feints that he coordinated as he used his normal punches to slowly break down her guard. She did better than her sister in this close-range encounter simply because of her weapons shorter range. Neyah still had the long-range spear active when she rushed him down, but if she began with the short dual wielded spear heads, she probably would've been able to overpower him due to the different in speed. Nix on the other hand was phenomenal at defending, but when it came to turning that defense back into offense she was extremely lacking. It was very clear that this was the effect of her true strength not being fully utilized all this time.
Nix was seemingly hyper aware of that fact, and instead of naturally waiting for a slip up, or parrying an attack, she attempted to force her turn by leaping up into the air and coming down with a strong slash, but because of the obvious attack Nova was able to expertly counter the sudden movement with two powerful skills of his own. Wanted to show her the error of her attack, he chose to use Parry Strike and parry her attack with the rising skill Flash Kick, which he used to kick her blade free from her grip leaving her incredibly vulnerable to a counterattack. And of course Nova did just that by following up with Sky Drop, jumping int the air, gripping her shoulders and slamming her harshly against the ground. He landed quickly and took advantage of the opportunity to grab onto her yet again using Shotgun Blow to crush her Aura into the red, finishing their sparring session.
"Wow Nix you did a wonderful job! Your technique with the Dagger and the efficiency to switch the forms on the fly was phenomenal! I'm sure you noticed, but you tend to think a bit too much in the middle of a fight. Predicting movements is good against a fighter that uses a set path or technique, and maybe even the mindless ones, but against a reactive fighter that can adapt on the fly you're not gonna hit those shots because you telegraph too much. Your eyes and hands give away where and when your gonna shoot, so your gonna have to change that. Also, your gonna need some practice in hand to hand, because you don't truly understand how strongly you really are just yet." He then turned his attention to Neyah who was chilling comfortably with Byakko on the side of the room next to the timer window.
"And you Neyah you have a different issue, you are extremely strong fighter, and your skill is absolutely phenomenal. Your battle IQ is super high, so most of the time you can get an upper hand by intuition alone, but you still need think a little when you fight. For example, you can't just start out with the spear because you like it the most or because it's the medium form for your weapon. You gotta think about your opponents' strengths and weaknesses, for example I don't use a weapon, yet, so I gotta get in extremely close. Since you were using the spear, you could've kept me out and used the range to your advantage, but instead you chose to rush me down which got you hurt. Also, you really need to work on your Aura management, you can't just go around using your Semblance willy nilly like you did against me. I'm sure that you can use an amazing amount of Aura without running out, but you need to use it more wisely or you may end up doing more damage to yourself than your opponent will." Nova stopped giving his advice for a moment to check up on how they were taking the criticism, and to his surprise, they were completely enthralled by his words. They hung on to every single word that escaped his lips, and like a person stranding in the desert, they thirsted for more.
A smile crossed his face as they looked up to Nova for more information, and he chose to end it with the truth of their current situation. "You both are incredibly strong, and I think that even without my help you would easily be able to crush your competition and bare minimum place top 8 in the Summer Tournament, but if you wanna win your gonna have to train and strategize a little bit more. Are you two readies for you next lesson?"
"HELL YEAH/YES!"
