Hey everyone, this is my first story here on Fanfiction. I wrote this in a few hours after an idea came to mind, so please bear with me if this isn't very good... I'm still not 100% sure I like how it turned out, but eh, it is what is is... I hope you guys enjoy it and I would appreciate a review! Rated T for language.

YOU'RE MINE

Annabeth flings open the door to his dorm room and looks at him for a second before she closes her eyes and flops onto his bed face down. Percy can't help but chuckle from his chair, where he had been pretending to study while actually browsing Wikipedia trying to understand why the hell babies have a soft spot on their heads. He thinks it's very stupid to put a self-destruct button on a baby, but whatever, babies are cute so who cares, he decides. He glances over at his best friend, who's sighing dramatically on his bed, her backpack on the floor next to her.

'That bad, huh?' He asks her, a small smile growing on his face at her antics.

She mumbles something into his pillow, nodding at the same time, and the only thing Percy can think about is how his bed is going to smell like her later, and against his wishes, he feels his face flush slightly. He turns back towards his laptop, closing the Wikipedia tab and scowling at the homework that appears before him, closing it quickly so he doesn't have to look at it anymore. He'll probably end up doing it at 1am as usual.

'I really don't want to talk about it' she says suddenly, her voice muffled against the pillow. 'It's just, I studied so hard, and I was so confident…ugh I hate my professors' she rolls over and looks up at him from the bed, falling silent for a few seconds. 'Come cuddle me, I need some Percy-love' she pouts while stretching her arms towards him, closing her eyes 'and a nap'.

'I'm sure you did better than you think, remember last year, you were so sure you had messed up on that one question, and you actually got it right.' He gets up from his chair, walking towards his bed and sitting next to her slowly, taking the opportunity to stare at her face while her eyes are closed. He needs a second to steady himself, she makes him dizzy sometimes. 'And even if you did badly in this exam, it will still be the first time in your life you don't get an A, that isn't so bad' he teases her.

'Not true, I got a B in History sophomore year of High School' she replies, opening her eyes to look at him, and smiling while taking his hand in hers. Percy's stomach is doing somersaults, even while he rolls his eyes at her. She's such a nerd.

Annabeth is not a very touchy person usually, but they have become super close over time, and she has gotten very comfortable around him, which means that she's usually touching him or holding him in some way when they are close. Percy doesn't complain, even though his heart aches every time she does it, and he has to restrain himself every day so that he doesn't do something stupid like kiss her. 'Percyyyy, come on, lie down with me' she pulls at his hand, and he can't but comply with her. He can never say no to her, really, he's a sucker for his best friend. And maybe, just maybe, he might possibly have a teeny tiny crush on her. So sue him. He's been debating telling her, but every time he thinks about confessing, he feels sick to his stomach, so he doesn't.

He pushes himself up slightly, so she can lie her head on his chest, just under his chin, and he traces her back slowly with one of his hands, while the other grabs his phone. 'Do you want to watch something to get your mind off of it?' he offers, 'we could watch an episode of How I Met Your Mother' he knows that's her favourite show, even if he hasn't watched it, but he likes spoiling her whenever he can. He feels her smile against him, but she shakes her head and tangles her legs on his, shuffling even closer to him. He almost makes a noise at the proximity, but he pats himself on the back for being able to restrain himself.

'No, I just want to sleep right now, and you are a very comfy pillow… hmmm mine' she sighs against his chest, and Percy hopes she can't feel how fast his heart is beating, or the heat emanating from his face. What is wrong with him? He is usually very good at hiding his feelings from Annabeth, even if it takes him a lot of willpower. But, for some reason, today is just an off day for him, and he feels an unnecessary amount of affection towards her. He can't help himself and he kisses the top of her head, hearing her hum softly when he does, and her hand grabs onto his shirt. 'You know, I sometimes think it's weird how we weren't friends in High School. I can't seem to remember a time when you weren't in my life'. And Percy is melting a little. He hugs her a bit tighter and replies.

'Yeah, me neither'. And he means it. It is crazy to think how they had not been friends during their High School years, even though they went to the same school. Sure, they had known each other existed, but they never had a chance to become friends. Back then it wasn't strange. Annabeth had mostly AP classes, while he was usually scraping by and either at swimming practice or out with his friends, skateboarding. Their social circles, although they intersected at some common points, were pretty far apart, and in High School, that was very significant. 'I guess that's just how High School works, though' he says, voicing his thoughts. She nods in understanding, she always gets him, even when he's not making sense to himself, she understands him.

'Still, I'm glad we became friends' she says. And he just squeezes her softly in agreement. Even if High School Percy and High School Annabeth hadn't been friends, that quickly changed in college. Their dorms had been quite literally opposite each other, and the simple act of recognizing someone from school had been enough to get them talking on the first day. Percy had very quickly noticed how amazing she was, and she was gracious enough to let him follow her around. Then, slowly, they became best friends, and now they could not be closer. If anyone asked him, Percy thought he had won the jackpot.

'How's your studying going?' she asks, to which he quickly scowls, this is Annabeth time, not studying time. 'You have an exam in three days, remember? You've been doing better in college, Percy, but remember how much you struggled in High School' she's not wrong, he was a disaster in school, and he's told her so several times. He just couldn't concentrate on his classes, and he never did his homework. He has gotten better lately, thanks to Annabeth, who helps him study, even though they are majoring in completely different things. She's just great like that. And as if she can read his mind (she probably can), she sits up and lightly taps his chest 'Come on, I'll help you revise, Seaweed Brain'. He laughs at the nickname, but he gets up and grabs his laptop along with some notes he took in his lectures. Although he doesn't want to study, he also doesn't think his heart can take him being so close to her for so long without bursting out of his chest.

They go over his notes for about an hour, before he whines that he's hungry and tired, and she takes pity on him, putting down his notes. 'When are you not hungry?' she asks, laughing at him, he just pouts at her. 'Fine, how about we go get some pizza from Cali's?' He quickly nods, putting on some shoes, and throwing a hoodie on. She grabs his hand and rushes him out the door. He swears he doesn't fall even more in love with her when she laces her fingers with his, except he does.

His exam goes... not bad. He knows he hasn't aced it, not by a long shot, but he's pretty sure he'll pass, maybe even get a decent grade. So he's pretty happy when he walks out of the classroom. His day brightens up tenfold when he sees Annabeth waiting for him outside, looking down to her phone, a few strands of blonde hair framing her face. Fuck, he's a mess. She looks up at him when he approaches, a smile on her face mirroring his 'How did it go?' she asks.

'Pretty well, I think' He shrugs.

'Pretty well you think?' she smiles, and he knows she's making fun of him, but he just smiles stupidly at her. She frowns slightly 'Is there something on my face?' she asks while reaching up to touch her face with her hand. He grabs her wrist before she can, and he laughs softly.

'No no, I'm just a bit dizzy after the exam, that's all. You look beautiful, as always.' His eyes widen when he realizes what he's said 'Fuck- erm, I mean-' she laughs at his mortified face. He has no fucking filter.

'Do I now?' she looks up into his eyes, takes a step towards him and bites her lip. He knows she's teasing him, she does this sometimes, but he still gulps and stammers for a response 'Well, since you think I'm beautiful' she grins 'then you'll be happy to accompany me to Piper's party this Saturday?'

'Piper's party?' he asks. He's still blushing, probably as red as a tomato, but Annabeth is stepping back and he thinks that maybe, he can breathe a little bit more now. He tries to calm himself down slightly as he asks 'Why's she throwing a party?'

'She said something about celebrating that she didn't flunk her last exam, but you know how she is, she doesn't need an excuse to throw a party.' Annabeth's right. Piper is a common friend of theirs, whom they met early in their first year during a study session in the library. The library was packed that day, and she had asked them to sit at their table. They had started talking and they got along pretty well. Annabeth liked how upfront and blunt she was, she appreciated the honesty, and Percy was happy to find someone who also skateboards. But what most people know about Piper, Percy thinks, is that she is, possibly, the most sociable person in the whole of New York. She loves throwing massive parties at her dad's mansion, who's cool enough to let her use it when he's away, because even though she's pretty damn wealthy, she's also responsible, and there are never any issues with the parties.

'So?' Annabeth asks again, 'will you come with me, please?' she clasps her hands together, and gives him the puppy eyes. She knows Percy doesn't really do parties, he prefers hanging out at a café or getting pizza with a bunch of friends. And so does Annabeth, for the record, but she needs to de-stress from her studying.

'Fiiiiine, I'll come with you, but only because you asked so nicely' he smiles down at her playfully.

'That, and because I'm always beautiful, apparently' she teases him again.

He groans 'Oh my god' he buries his face in his hands, trying to hide his embarrassment. He feels Annabeth pulling at his hands, trying to peel them away from him.

'Okay okay, sorry for teasing you' she laughs again, and he isn't sure her apology is sincere, but her laugh kinda makes up for it. 'We can go together to Piper's at around 9pm on Saturday, if that works for you' she hasn't let go of Percy's hands, and he's only extremely aware of the contact. 'There's no specific theme this time, because she was apparently convinced she would fail' they both chuckle at that 'but she did say that we had to dress up a little bit so, please, no hoodies and no ripped jeans, okay Percy?' she looks at him pointedly.

He rolls his eyes, but can't keep the smile out of his face 'Okay, Wise Girl, I'll see what I can do' she lets go of his hands, and he misses the warmth. 'Are you coming back to the dorm?'

'No, I have a lecture in 15 minutes, and a project to finish tonight, so I'll see you tomorrow'. He nods and they say their goodbyes. Annabeth must be feeling affectionate, because she stands on her tiptoes and kisses his cheek softly, turning around and speed walking to her lecture. Percy has to stand there for a whole minute gathering his thoughts. Fuck. He needs to get his shit together. Even if Annabeth is way, way out of his league, he still gets these flutters of hope whenever she's this affectionate with him that he tries to suppress as much as he can. He doesn't need to mess up his friendship with her just because he can't control himself. He sighs loudly and heads back to his dorm, already dreading the party on Saturday.

Knock knock knock. 'Percy! Are you ready? We have to go now or we'll be late!' Annabeth is trying to get Percy to hurry up, as he finishes brushing his teeth, and applies just a touch of cologne.

'Coming! Just a second!' He screams back.

'Come on Seaweed Brain, how is it possible I took less time than you to get ready?' Percy isn't sure that's true, it's just that he got started a teeny bit late. But he's ready now.

He opens the door to his dorm room while putting on a jacket over his shirt. He almost trips up on himself when he sees what Annabeth is wearing. She's got a white blouse on, and some really, really nice jeans. How is it fair that she looks this good? He's always thought that she could put on a garbage bag and she could still appear on the cover of whatever fashion magazine was "it" now. It's a mystery to him how she hasn't landed a modelling gig. But he might be slightly biased. It's when he looks at her face that he gulps. Her mascara makes her eyes look absolutely devastating, even more than they usually are, and that's saying something. But her lips. Oh god, her lips. She's put on lip gloss, and he is already imagining what it'd feel like to kiss her, to feel her lips all over-

'You look good Percy!' She pulls him out of his train of thought, and she's looking up at him with a wide smile that makes him want to hug her right there. And because he's her best friend, he can. So he does.

'You look amazing, Annabeth' he says, and yeah, his voice is a bit tight, but she doesn't seem to notice. Especially when she hugs him tight for a little while longer after he was starting to let go.

'Thank you' She responds, letting go of him.'Shall we get going then?' she rearranges the collar of his shirt and smoothes some wrinkles over his chest, and he just- he's so whipped. She hooks her arm on his, and they start walking towards the party. It's not super far away, and they get there only slightly late, for which Annabeth slightly scolds him. But he just grins at her, and she smiles as she rolls her eyes and mumbles something under her breath he doesn't get.

Piper opens the door to her house, and she greets both of them, gushing over how 'great they both look'. Percy doesn't agree. He knows he looks alright, but Annabeth is fucking glowing, and he can't get over the fact that her neck looks great with the small pendant he gave her for her birthday. He imagines what it'd feel like to bite the soft skin, but he is very good at pretending he doesn't think about that at all. Nope. They walk in after Piper, and Percy can see that the party is in full swing. He can see some people playing beer pong, while some others are dancing to the music playing on gigantic speakers at the side of the huge living room. He has to say, Piper's house is nice.

Annabeth tugs Percy by the hand and into the kitchen, where she pours herself a beer and another for Percy. They are both not huge drinkers, and beer is quite enough for them, although Annabeth always preferred wine. He smiles at the thought, and she looks at him with a smile and a question in her eyes, to which he simply shakes his head. 'Do you want to go dance for a bit?' she asks. And, he knows she knows he's a terrible dancer, but she always laughs at his flailing around, and just seeing her happy is his reason to live apparently, because he agrees and follows her to the dance floor.

Dancing with Annabeth, even if it's just moving around close to her, is pretty nice. He likes the way she looks at him with a smile and laughs whenever he starts doing the robot, and people around them seem to be having fun as well. 'Maybe this isn't so bad' he thinks to himself. But then Piper is shoving herself into the group of people dancing and she grabs Annabeth's hand, whispering something into her ear with a worried face, and they both shoot Percy a quick apology before they dart out of the living to go god knows where.

'Well, now this sucks' He refuses to stand there awkwardly, so he heads back towards the kitchen in an attempt to look like he's not a loser. He has to admit, his High School self looked way cooler than he does now. He's pouring himself another beer, which he doubts he'll drink, when someone calls his name.

'Percy! Oh my god how are you doing? It's been so long!' He turns around and he sees a pretty redhead walking towards him, a red cup, presumably filled with alcohol, in her hand. It's Rachel Dare. She's an old friend of Percy's whom he had met through one of his High School classmates, and they had hit it off pretty well back then. Life, as it were, got in between and they hadn't seen each other in a few years.

'Oh hey, Rachel! It has been a long time! How's life been? And what are you doing here?' He's happy to see her. They had really been good friends back in the day, and she had always been a very cool person to hang out with. She seemed to be pretty much the same, all grown up now, of course, but she still had the same freckle filled face and frizzy red hair.

'Well, you know, finishing High School, getting into college, you know the deal. I got invited by Piper because her dad knows mine, apparently they do business together or something, I am not too sure. But how are you? I have really missed you these past few years! I see you've grown quite a bit, not so scrawny anymore.' She laughed and lightly touched my arm playfully, she had always been a very affectionate friend, and it was nice seeing it was back as if nothing had changed.

'I wouldn't say I was scrawny back then… Just skinny' Percy laughed 'But yeah, life's been good, I got a scholarship for swimming at NYU, and I've been studying hard to major in Marine Biology, but at least I don't have to suffer through maths or English anymore' she laughs loudly at that, remembering the times they had studied together, both of them struggling mightily with those cursed subject they both hated 'Are you finally studying anything art related? Or did you go with your dad's wished and do Business?'

'Oh no, I am majoring in Fine Arts, thank goodness, I would not have been able to survive a degree in Business. And how is your swimming going? I can see it has definitely helped your physique!' she winked playfully, and Percy blushed lightly at the compliment, he wasn't too used to them, and he can't say he agrees. She's still touching his arm, and he's about to respond to her when, out of nowhere, Annabeth appears back at his side, standing very, very close to him, and touching his back as she greets him.

'Hey Percy! Where were you? I was looking for you all over!' and then, before he can answer, she's kissing him on the cheek. And it's not a small peck. Oh no. That was at least 3 Mississippis, and it makes his head spin like he just got off a rollercoaster. 'Oh, and who is your friend?' she looks at Rachel, and for some reason, he can feel a slight tension all of a sudden. He has to shake his head briefly to try and clear his mind, Annabeth makes him very, very dizzy.

'Um, Annabeth, this is Rachel, she's an old friend from back in High School, we just saw each other and were catching up' he looks at Rachel 'And Rachel… this is Annabeth, my… best friend'

'Hi Annabeth, it's a pleasure' Rachel sounds polite, but he can't figure out why her voice is slightly strained, like she already doesn't like Annabeth. He is very confused, everyone likes Annabeth, she's awesome. But Rachel has already moved her hand from his arm, and is standing a bit further away.

'Likewise' Annabeth says curtly and offers her hand, Rachel shakes it quickly.

'Anyways, Percy, here's my number' she takes his phone from his shirt pocket and saves it 'don't be a stranger, and call me sometime!' She turns around and after offering Annabeth a polite smile, she walks back into the dance floor.

Percy can feel Annabeth moving slightly back from where she was basically pressed up against him, and he can't say he's not slightly disappointed. He looks over at her, and he can see her brow is furrowed, and she doesn't look happy.

He clears his throat awkwardly, and he turns to face her. 'She's a great friend, erm, Rachel I mean, I'm sure you two would be great friends' He doesn't know why he has the need to say that, but Annabeth doesn't seem to be happier. 'We met back in High School, and she used to help me study quite a lot, kinda like you do now'.

Annabeth looked angry now, and Percy was absolutely lost. He couldn't understand why Annabeth was upset, but he knew he wanted her to smile. He was going to ask her once more what was wrong, when she grabbed his hand and pulled him into one of the corridors of the house, where there were no people.

'Erm… Annabeth is everything alright? Did I say something wrong? I really think Rachel's nice, I don't know why you don't like-' Annabeth turns towards him sharply, her eyes dark and her face hard. Percy had to admit, even though he was kind of terrified at his best friend right now, she looked hot when she was mad.

Annabeth looks right into his eyes and pushes against Percy's chest hard, making him take a step back slightly, pressing his back against a wall.

'Hey! A-Annabeth? Are you alright?' Annabeth is now looking slightly down, her hands to her sides, and Percy is just plain confused, and a bit scared still. Annabeth then mumbles something, as she gets closer to him, brushing her chest against his, and looking up into his eyes. Their faces are just inches apart, and Percy is having trouble breathing, because he can feel Annabeth so close, and she's warm, and she smells like lemons. Her hot breath is on his face, and her lips look like they are begging to be kissed, but he is frozen in place, trying to figure out what the hell is going on with his best friend 'What… Wise Girl?'.

At the mention of the nickname, Annabeth's eyes flash with an emotion Percy can't quite pick up. She looks down at his lips, and then back to his eyes, and Percy's breath is cut short when she gets even closer, now completely pressed up against him. She's grabbing his shirt with one hand, while the other goes up to Percy's cheek, and he almost flinches at the movement.

'You're mine.'

'What?' Percy breathes out. He can feel his head spinning, and it isn't because of the alcohol. He's barely drank anything. It's simply because Annabeth is so close to him that he can see the details in her eyes, and she is licking her lips and looking up at him. Her eyes still reveal some anger, but now they are also showing… sadness? Jealousy? He isn't sure.

'I said, you're mine. Okay? You're mine, not Rachel's and not anyone else's' She spits out Rachel's name almost like it's a curse, but Percy barely notices it, because she's saying what he thinks she's saying. He doesn't know how to reply, and his hands are limp by his sides, his body feels numb.

Annabeth keeps looking him in the eyes, almost like she's trying to convince him, like she wants him to agree with her, but he can't speak. 'Percy…' she gently whispers his name and her face softens, he can see a faint blush on her cheeks, even in the dark. Annabeth then curls her fingers into his hair, softly scratching his scalp, and she's pulling him down. Percy barely has enough time to put his hands on her waist before her lips are on his. And she's kissing him.

Annabeth fucking Chase is kissing him. Percy takes less than a millisecond to kiss her back, but when he does, Annabeth deepens the kiss and, making a noise, she scratches his side with her hand, making Percy gasp into the kiss. She pulls back for a second, rubbing his side softly where she had scratched him, like she was saying sorry, and looks up into his eyes again.

'Mine' she whispers against his lips, as she goes back to kissing him. Percy is trying to keep up with the kiss, his mind malfunctioning because then she's biting his lip, and throwing an arm around his neck and- Percy's so, so fucking whipped. He needs to talk to her, however, so mustering all of his willpower, he softly pushes back, all the while Annabeth tries to pull him back in, sneaking two or three more kisses before he manages to finally step back slightly.

'I- erm, fuck. Sorry.' He couldn't really say much more, and Annabeth giggles softly, tracing her fingers into his scalp, and pecks him softly, sweetly. She looks up at him once more, a small smile on her face, almost shy.

'Sorry… I got a bit carried away' She was about to step back away from him, but Percy instinctively hugs her tighter into him. She seems happy to hug him back, taking the chance to kiss his chin.

'N-no, I don't mind, erm, I wanted to do that… for a while, I mean. I wanted to kiss you for a while' He knows he's blushing, but suddenly so is she, and he decides that she looks so fucking cute like that that he couldn't care less about his own embarrassment.

'Really?' Her eyes are wide, and she's biting her lip. 'Me too' and Percy has to let out a nervous laugh. No way. No fucking way she had also wanted to kiss him all this time. He's on cloud 9 right now, but he just can't stop staring at her like a moron in love. 'Sorry about before… I can get a bit possessive… Can I do it again?' She's asking him, and he makes a vow that if he ever says no to her, he'll know he's gone absolutely mad. Plus, he knows he can absolutely take a possessive Annabeth, he kind of likes the thought. And because he can barely talk yet, he simply kisses her again. Her lips are soft this time, sweet, almost loving. And Percy's stomach is swarmed with butterflies. He has this need to kiss her face, so he does, because now he can. He kisses her cute button nose, feeling Annabeth giggle at the action, and he gives her the softest of forehead kisses, before Annabeth is pulling him back in for what she mumbles is a 'proper kiss'.

Percy thinks it must have been about 5 minutes that they had been sharing kisses and soft smiles in that dark corridor, but when he looks at the time on his phone, he realizes they must have been there for at least an hour. Annabeth is still peppering him with soft kisses on his cheeks, and sometimes on his neck, which makes him shudder every time, to which Annabeth smiles, pulls back and looks up into his eyes, before she does it again. Percy thinks she enjoys looking at his reactions, and good god, just that thought makes him warm inside.

'Annabeth…' He whispers finally.

'Yeah?' she responds between kisses, looking for his lips with hers.

'It's late, we should go back, or Piper will start getting worried' it pains him to say it, but it is true, and he doesn't want anyone to stumble on them making out in the middle of the corridor. Although he is pretty sure that, if she wanted to, he would be convinced to stay there for the rest of his life, with Annabeth kissing him.

'Yeah… you're right…' She lets go of him a little, but both stay in place, looking at each other. 'But… Rachel…' she blushed.

Percy can't help but laugh, at which Annabeth slaps him lightly on the chest, mumbling that it wasn't funny. Percy did find it funny, because it was just outlandish that Annabeth is jealous, over him. It feels pretty fucking good, he isn't going to lie. But he wants her to know that there is literally no one else he would rather be kissing right there. So he tells her.

'You never have to worry Annabeth, after all, I'm yours, aren't I?' Percy teases her slightly.

Annabeth looks up at him, narrowing her eyes slightly and whispers, 'You fucking bet you are' and when she kisses him again, Percy's convinced that he's always been hers, he just didn't know it yet.

So? Did you like it? Did you hate it? Either way let me know! I plan on writing some oneshots every once in a while, so if have an idea, let me know and I might try to write it! Anyways, thank you for reading!
