A/N: Hello! Back again with Chapter Two, and I'm amping things up in this. Starting with a little dream...

Chapter Two: A Dream and a Kiss Is All I Need

Present-day, Edwards's new apartment in Star City

He was running. Always running. Faster. Faster! But he was always too slow. She always fell off the building. He was always too slow to catch her. And his heart broke every time.

He shot awake in bed. Sweat was rolling down his back. He could feel the individual drops moving slowly down. He wiped his forehead, and blinked his eyes a few times. Then looked at the clock. And sighed. Only two in the morning. He closed his eyes, leveled his breathing. And getting up, flashed around his apartment, dressing himself. Then he was out, and into the night air. And for some reason, he found himself running to Thea's apartment.

He stood outside for a moment, and saw the the light in her apartment was on. I should go. Yet he flashed up, and hidden in a small opening behind a plant, watched her. She was typing at a computer. But her hands halted for a second. They started up again, but she surprised him.

"Why are you in my apartment?" Thea's voice called out.

Fuck.

He stepped out from behind the plant. "Honestly? I don't know."

God, his voice just tugged on her center. Smooth, yet rough. She kept typing, but her mind started to wander. Started to? It was already there!

"So, you ran to my apartment, but can't tell me why...sounds believable." She finally gave up on the typing and turned. And felt a more definitive tug when she saw his eyes rove over her body.

"Yeah..." He rubbed the back of his neck.

The next thing that happened, neither of them knew how or why. It just, happened. They both looked at each other, and pure want filled their eyes. For Thea, it was the pent-up pressure of liking the guy for months with no release valve, and for Edward it was the sheer curiosity in how she'd taste, how she'd feel. They stepped toward each other, and with his hands cupping her cheeks, and her arms going around his neck, they kissed.

Sparks flew. Fire raged. The earth tilted on its axis. For them at that moment, everything happened. The sun shine at two fifteen in the morning, and at the same time, the moon watched down from the sky. The stars twinkled, and yet one by one they winked out. Then, suddenly, they were in a rush.

Tilting her head, Thea kissed him deeper, while his hands cruised down Thea's body. At his touch, her body came to life.

With a moan swallowed by his lips, Thea melted into Edward.

He shot awake. The sun was shining. What the fuck?

He sat up. It was a dream...? It felt so...real.

He rubbed his eyes, then checked the clock. Eight A.M. He sighed, and in a flash, was dressed. As he started making a cup of coffee, he put some bread in the toaster.

Once he'd eaten, and drank his cup of joe, he flashed to where the Arrow Team had him working.

And got to work on today's pile of papers.

She was already having a rough day. She had about six dozen different things to do, and one of them was to go and give Edward another assignment. She entered the building, walked up to her level, and then froze.

He wasn't wearing a shirt.

A checkered flannel jacket button-up was hanging off the back of the chair he was sitting in, but he was one-hundred percent bare-chested.

Taking a moment to process this, and his muscles -were Barry's as nice as his?- she finally came to the conclusion that if she stood there any long staring at his abs -so many, so smooth-, she was going to drool. So she closed her eyes, shook her head, and stepped in. "Good morning."

He looked up, and saw the bruise along the side of her face. And saw red. "Who hurt you?"

"Huh?" She asked, looking over her shoulder, a little puzzled.

"Your face. It's bruised. Who hurt you?" He asked it with more emphasis this time.

She put a finger to her face. "Oh..." She shrugged. "It doesn't matter." Inside though, her stomach was tingling. Did he actually care?

He shook his head. "It does to me. Who hurt you?" He stepped around his desk, and towards her.

Even as annoyance flitted through her, she also felt a strange feeling of want. "It doesn't matter, as it's my own business. If you were my friend, then I might've deigned that with an answer, but currently, as far as I'm concerned, it is none of your business." She turned away, which is why she was so surprised when he was suddenly there, grabbing her, and turning her. She moved to knee him in his groin, but he blocked it. When she looked up into his eyes. Her breath caught. There was fire in them, but also, lust. His eyes dropped to her lips. Her eyes dropped to his. "We shouldn't..." It came out as barely a whisper.

"No, we shouldn't." With that said, he dipped down, and laid his lips on hers.

It was nothing like the dream. It was real. And a million times more than the dream.

The instant his lips touched hers, her lips lit like fire. Disregarding the fact that they shouldn't be doing this, she leapt at him, her legs wrapping around his waist. She was already wet. Holy shit, she was already wet. And extremely turned on. With a moan, she shoved her tongue in his mouth.

God, she was right there. His hand automatically moved to her thighs to hold her up, while his cock hardened. When he heard her moan, he closed his eyes, and sat her down on her desk.

As he sat her down, she yanked off her shirt. Then she pressed her hands to his chest and tilted, taking the kiss deeper.

As she took her shirt off, he watched her, and watched the bra underneath very quickly reveal itself to the world. And just like her, it was sexy as hell. Siren red, with lace. Fuck. He roughly grabbed her breasts in both hands, causing her to moan again, and say his name oh so softly.

She kissed him even deeper, and raked her nails down his back, cutting skin that healed instantly. Moving his hands to her hips he pulled her closer...and then they both froze.

Thea started laughing. "Oh, this is fun. We just tried to jump each other like wild animals."

Edward let out a short laugh. "Yeah..." He slowly stepped back. "Do you..." He swallowed. "Do you want to stop?"

Thea looked at him, uncertainty in her eyes. "I...yes. But...no. Edward, it's not that I don't like you, as obviously, I find you attractive. But...we haven't even gone on a date yet."

Edward nodded. "Okay. Tomorrow. Come at 7."

Her eyes widened. "Um...okay. What...what's the dress code?"

"Comfortable." He turned, and papers, not to mention her hair, went flying as he flashed away, leaving his chair spinning. She sighed, and slowly put on her shirt. And took a deep breath. Time to get to work.

He was shaking. Literally shaking. She had kissed him back. He hadn't been expecting that, nor the force of the kiss. He had fully expected to be pushed or shoved away, to be kicked, punched. But instead, she just...melted. no, what she did was leap at him like an animal.

And yank her shirt off. His hands tingled just thinking about it. He wasn't a particularly touchy guy. He also didn't date much, or kiss girls that often. Mostly because he wasn't familiar with this earth. But Thea...something about her just turned off his brain, and turned on his dick. It was crazy, and weird. But also amazing, and beautiful.

And God he needed her like the earth needed the sun.
