Vivian—an otherworldly being that transcended beyond any human perception, yet, was revered by the same humans. For to them, she was—
The benefactor.
Nimble fingers around gilded hilts, they slip out of her divine-kissed hands as the Fairy of the Lake bestowed the holy weapons to virtuous knights. Each giddy laugh drew out a radiant smile as they brandished their new weapon in the gleaming sun rays.
The guardian.
Cloaking exalted monarchs in protection, their content sighs to be relieved of distress without worry of further misfortunes by the wicked. At the best of times—adorned in the blessed ornaments as they merry go about their days. At the most perilous of times—she rushed to their aid at nature's calling or by the guiding magician's beckoning.
Nature's beloved.
Mystical forests become aglow with brilliant sunbeams every time she set foot. Shadows caught under her steps, she basked in the luminescent rays filtered by the lively green leaves with droplets dripping off. An eyecatching beauty surrounded by vibrant flowers in full bloom.
The restless pupil.
After mastering each spell, she jumped in joy while kicking up water into splashes and twirling into dances on the sunlight-glittering lake. Sounds of clapping at the shore from the flower mage with a breezy laugh, eyes sparkling with delight.
The delicate lover.
A dear laid in a grassy patch at the lakeside, whose hair silkens like angelic feathers under her gentle stroking fingers, hair glistening like diamonds under the sun's blanketed warmth. His head on her lap, lilac eyes lazily half-lidded with a relaxed smile etched onto his otherwise devious features. Slowly, blue eyes barely crack open, spotting figures all too near—who then disappear one by one. The water fairy's eyes curved into crescents with a crooked smile as she distantly stared off into the horizon with a dark gaze as the moon rose.
The perfect ethereal dream.
Then, one droplet later—only an empty patch remained once the ripples settled.
The bewitching fae wandered off into the embrace of the cold night.
