The third time he meets his father face to face, Jason had been absolutely done with the day. They had just defeated Gaea, his head was pounding and he couldn't find Reyna anywhere.

He knew she was alive, he had seen her fighting with her sister Hylla against Orion and they had successfully killed him. But after that, they had been separated again and now Jason had no clue where she had gone.

"Are we boring you Champion of Juno?" Mars's booming voice brought Jason out of his head as he remembered that along with the other 6 demigods, he was on Olympus in attendance with the main 12 gods.

"No sir." He replied, his head cast down. Venus smiled at him. "Your beloved is okay, Son of Jupiter. She's leading the relief efforts right now." Jason's heart rate slowed at this news. Percy sent a small grin and Jason nodded in response, his face warming up.

Before anyone else could speak, someone was calling his name as well as another person calling Percy and Annabeth's names.

"Jason Romulus Grace! You are so lucky that I can't kill you!" Nat was pissed to say the least, Jason figured as he turned around to look at her. She was still covered in blood from her work helping in the infirmary, and her hair which was usually neatly braided had fallen into her face.

In short, she probably looked insane, but that was his Nat for you. He ignored his father's clear annoyance and ran over to her, Percy and Annabeth following towards the other woman - Sally Jackson he figured. As soon as he reached Nat, he wrapped his arms around her, his eyes shutting immediately.

"I'm sorry. I tried Iris Messaging you but it wouldn't go through, and then we got stuck for several days because Leo was sent to Ogygia, and we barely knew how to use the ship, and…. I missed you so much." He looked down at her, at the way she was now shorter than him and he felt like shit. Gods, had it really been that long?

Nat shook her head before cupping his face. "It's okay mijo. My threat still stands though. I am going to wrap you in bubble wrap and you are never going to leave my apartment now that this war is over."

The other woman - Sally looked over and nodded before speaking. "Oh I thoroughly agree with that. Speaking of which, Poseidon! You better actually pull through on your promises this time. I am not losing my baby again."

Nat nodded as she turned to look at his father. "Same here Jupiter. I told you I'd protect him, but I can't do that if your psicópata wife keeps throwing my kid into dangerous situations." Jason blushed. No matter how old he got, he was never able to get used to knowing that Nat considered him hers.

The others shared looks of disbelief and grins. Jupiter - his father stared Nat down. "I do not appreciate being spoken to like this Natalia Hope. I'm sure you are aware of the disrespect you've displayed."

Nat stood her ground. "I stand by my words Jupiter." It was deathly silent for a moment before Mercury spoke. "The woman has a point, Father. Hera has thrown these demigods into many dangerous situations with no consideration for their families."

The throne room went silent again. "Jason." Jupiter said, his tone cold. "Do you agree with this?"

Jason didn't know what to say. He could agree with Nat but that would risk pissing his dad off, or he could agree with his father and risk making Nat angry. Neither was a good choice.

"Nat's lost me twice now. Once during the Titan War and again during this one. She didn't deserve that, and neither did Ms. Jackson. Juno…. Juno didn't consider them or Reyna and Annabeth or the Legion or Camp Half Blood when she swapped Percy and I." Nat looked at him, and so did Jupiter.

Jason felt like an ant under a magnifying glass. Everyone's eyes were on him. "Jason Grace. Champion of Juno. You dare challenge her?"

Jason stared his father down. "Yeah. I do. The Gods promised they wouldn't forget about us, and that they wouldn't use us as their soldiers a year ago. How well have they kept that promise?"

A voice in the back of his head, one that sounded remarkably like Reyna scolded him. You're an idiot Jason Grace. It said. An idiot and I don't know why I put up with you.

Yeah he was an idiot and he was about to get smote on the spot. He turned back to Nat. "If I die within the next 20 seconds let Reyna know that I love her and that she's right about me being an idiot."

Venus snorted from her spot. "No need for that Son of Jupiter. Our father is just learning that he has to treat you demigods with fairness."

"Seems like the learning is slow." Nat mumbled. Jason snorted. Jupiter gave them all a look of exasperation. "Enough. We will do our best to respect our promises."

Percy raised an eyebrow. "We will respect our promises." Jupiter corrected himself. "Just get out of my throne room for fucks sake." Hazel giggled and Jason met her eye. He winked at his younger cousin. They all walked towards the elevator and Jason let out a sigh of relief as they all entered it.

Nat looked at him, before hugging him again. "You are so lucky I came and not Reyna. She's livid with you right now. Something about your sword?"

Jason gulped. He had completely forgotten that he had dropped his sword mid air to stab Porphyrion in the battle. He hadn't seen it since then.

Reyna was so going to kill him. Nat gave him a look. "What the hell did you do?"

"Nothing!" Jason protested. Nat stared him down. "Okay so I may have lost my sword during the final battle." He smiled at her sheepishly, hoping she wouldn't be mad. Nat shook her head. "You are going to be the death of me Jason Grace."

Jason wouldn't have it any other way.
