Thumbelina was walking down the aisle to Mr. Mole. She couldn't help her thoughts from wondering to her one true love, Cornelius. Everywhere she looked she saw him, in the stained glass window, the ring he gave her, and even the melted wax. She kept hearing him sing their song.

"Speak up"

"Never. I cannot marry Mr. Mole I don't love him." She starts to leave when Grendel breaks through the ceiling.

"I marry her!"

She stomps on his foot, "NO I NO MARRY YOU I GO HOME!"

She hears something from behind her, she thought is was some ruble from the hole in the ceiling but then the gasps around her confuse her. She looked at the toad to see even he looks shocked.

"Thumbelina?" His voice is small and she's sure her mind is play tricks on her again but then she feels a hand on her shoulder.

She slowly turns around and is preparing to see nothing but the priest and Mr. Mole but then she sees him.

"It's you." She still doesn't trust what she sees. He gently holds her hand, she gasps, "Cornelius it's you. You're alive!" She practically jumps in his arms and he is more than happy to have her back in his arms and safe. Finally safe.

He looks past her when he hears some muttering from the toad. He is holding some beetle and shaking him.

"You killed him."

The fairy prince moves Thumbelina behind him and stands between her and Mr. Toad. "We meet at last Mr. Toad." He draws his sword.

Ms. Fieldmouse pipes up, "Your highness please. Let's not be too hasty, there are young ones present."

He doesn't lower his sword and this seemed to upset the toad.

"I MARRY HER!"

"She will not merry you she wants to marry me." He remembered he didn't get the chance to ask so he quickly turns to her, "That is if you will have me of course."

She couldn't help but smile, "Though not as romantic as I thought my answer is still yes!"

He couldn't help it. He spun fully around and kissed her.

The toad started to move but found himself restrained.

Once the young couple had separated and saw the toad tackled to the ground and a beetle running away they turned to Mr. Mole.

"I do have some rather helpful security wouldn't you say Miss Thumbelina." He smiled.

Cornelius looked to him, "You're taking this well?"

"Yes, truth be told I don't love her either, but she is nice company and has a lovely voice. When I heard what all the poor thing had been through I wanted to help."

He still looked rather confused especially when Thumbelina went to whisper something in his ear."

"I say you are quite rite my dear. I shall talk to her once this mess has been dealt with."

With that she took the fairy prince by the hand and lead him out of the hole.

Once on the surface he took her close and spun her around.

"Thumbelina I am never letting you out of my sight again. Please say that you meant it back there. Please marry me I love you so much."

"Of course I meant it I love you too."

He kissed her. It was not as gentle as he was planning but with months and months of worrying finally starting to be past them he found he doesn't have much self control around her.

"Wings. I have wings!"
