Chapter 5 everybody! I'm leaning towards shipping Ash with May. However, no matter who he is shipped with, it won't be incorporated right away. There will be a good amount of drama and confusion throughout the story of who he will be shipped with. Anyways, REVIEW and hope you guys enjoy!
Also, I would love for you guys to give my other story a shot! It's called Pokemon OC: The Dark Chaos and it's fairly long even though I started it last month. It doesn't get as much attention due to being an OC oriented story. However, I think its pretty good and if you're interested, I'm still accepting OC's!
1:30 AM
Ketchum Residence
The party had been going on for HOURS. They had started partying at about 7:30. It was currently 1:30AM. Six..Long…Hours…
It wasn't all bad, considering everyone including Ash was having an amazing time celebrating his League Victory. Well, almost everyone. Max was currently sleeping in the guest room. However, Ash doubted it, since there was no way, anyone could fall asleep sober with the music this loud. Besides, it looked like the party had died down, with everyone scattered around the household.
The night has so far proved to be extremely eventful. Brock was still cleaning up the house, moving at a fast pace in order to keep up with everyone celebrating hard. He was the adult of the group, so it was only natural he would act like this during this time.
Gary had broken one of the wooden tables, after being dared by Ash to jump through it like a drunk football fan outside of the stadium. Being cocky and intoxicated, Gary immediately agreed to the dare. The boy jumped off the kitchen counter, before slamming onto the wooden table, smashing through the small furniture. It was honestly beyond everyone how the wood broke so easily.
Luckily, Gary got back up from the broken material screaming and still celebrated wildly. The whole house cheered at his and others' antics.
At around 12 AM, the group had all reconvened together at the kitchen counter and cut a cake to celebrate Ash's victory. Ash had thrown the cake in Tracey's face, which made almost everyone laugh. Almost...
Tracey had screamed at Ash, extremely frustrated and angry at the trainer. Misty was not warming up to Tracey at all, which was probably the reason that the older man was already on edge. He left the house shortly after since he noticed his advances towards Misty weren't going to work anytime soon. When he left, the group continued to laugh and party, not letting the departure of one person ruin their mood.
Currently, Gary and Misty were passed out on one of the sofas. Both of them were leaning their heads against each other with their bodies right next to each other. Ash was sitting down on an opposite couch, his eyes drooping down tiredly.
"Huh…What do ya know?" Ash thought as he saw the two of them cuddled together. It was definitely an unusual pairing. They were definitely too drunk to realize also that they were in the position they were. It's not like the two of them ever got along well. They were both opposite personalities.
Ash looked around the living room, seeing no one else there. He assumed that everyone else had either gone to bed or simply passed out somewhere else. Brock was most likely still cleaning up or asleep in one of the guests' rooms.
Ash let his head fall back into the back of the couch, now closing his eyes as he sat against the leather material. The teenager might as well, considering the party was dead at this point. The trainer was able to enjoy a few minutes of silence and peace until he felt a weight drop onto his lap. Ash pulled his head back up, opening his eyes to see what the unfamiliar weight was. He was shocked, however, when he saw what it was. Or rather, who.
Shauna was sitting on Ash's lap, staring at him dreamily while swaying slightly. The two looked at each other drunkenly, not saying a word or moving much. It was Shauna who made the first advance, grabbing the back of Ash's neck. Ash was either too drunk or tired to care or protest as Shauna pressed her lips against his. It was probably both, if he was being honest.
Only being shocked for a second, Ash placed one hand behind Shauna's back, while the other grabbed one of her legs to pull her closer against him in order to deepen the kiss. The two continued to kiss, with Shauna straddling him with both legs on opposite sides of his. Eventually, they were making out carelessly on the couch.
Both were too drunk to care or recognize that anyone could walk in on them at that moment.
"Ashhh…" Shauna moaned into his mouth as the two were engrossed with each other, feeling each other's body while they continued to make out on that couch. This continued for a few minutes, until they heard somebody speak.
"What the hell?" Clemont said, standing at the front door. Shauna jumped off Ash after being caught off guard, now sitting next to Ash while looking at who spoke. Ash's eyes widened in surprise, his jaw becoming unhinged.
"I thought you were still in Kalos." Ash stated, his words slurred quite a bit due to how intoxicated he was. Shauna was just as bad, now standing up and leaving the room embarrassedly. This left Ash and Clemont alone, with Gary and Misty still sleeping.
"Well, I was until a few hours ago. I left Bonnie behind because she wanted to stay a little longer with our dad. Jesus, Ash. What are you doing? What happened here?"
Ash opened his mouth, a voice coming out of his mouth for a second before disappearing. "I-." Clemont shook his head sadly, looking around the house and seeing its state. Fortunately, the house was only slightly trashed. It wasn't that bad. There were a few broken pieces of material, specifically that wooden table, but the damage was average for a party. However, that wasn't what Clemont was worried about.
"Ash, why were you kissing Shauna? Serena would be destroyed if she saw you guys!" Clemont said concernedly, waving his hands animatedly.
"We were just kissing! Besides, why are you bringing Serena into this? I'm not allowed to kiss a girl?
"Of course, you can, Ash. That's not what I mean. Why would you kiss Serena's best friend?!"
"Dude, she came onto me! Besides, what does this have to do with Serena?!
"This has everything to do with Serena because you kissed her best friend!
"So? She's hot. Why does it matter?
"Because Serena likes you!"
"..."
"..."
"Oh.." Ash said quietly, now standing up in front of Clemont. The black-haired teenager rubbed his face tiredly, now realizing how he had screwed up.
"Yeah…" Clemont replied, sitting down on the couch now as Ash paced in front of him in thought.
Ash didn't have the slightest clue that Serena had liked him throughout their journey. He knew that she often wanted to be with him, but he thought that was due to being childhood friends. Unlike May during their journey, she had never brought up her feelings to him. Obviously, Ash hadn't as well, considering that he didn't have feelings for the blonde.
Hell, Ash didn't have feelings for anybody recently. The trainer wasn't making out with Shauna because he had feelings for the brunette. He was because he was extremely drunk. That, mixed with the fact that Shauna was an attractive female, caused the two of them to act that way towards each other.
"I won't tell her Ash, but if she finds out and asks me, I can't lie to her. She'll be destroyed if she finds out."
"If who finds out what?" Brock stated, walking into the room. The former gym leader stopped, however, when he noticed a blonde-haired stranger talking to Ash. Realizing that he hadn't met the blonde teenager, Brock introduced himself.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't think we've met before. My names Brock Harrison. I'm a former traveling companion of Ash's." Brock stated, shaking hands with the Kalos Gym Leader.
"Nice to meet you Brock, my name's Clemont. I traveled with Ash as well through Kalos. I heard you're a gym leader. I'm actually a Gym Leader in Kalos." Clemont replied kindly.
"Wow, that's pretty cool, Clemont. So, what were you guys talking about?"
Ash looked at Clemont, waiting to see if the blonde would tell the truth or lie. Clemont looked down for a second, clearly in thought, before he responded to Brock's question.
"Oh, nothing much. I was just telling Ash about how my sister Bonnie was going to be destroyed when she sees that I'm back with Ash and Serena. She wishes she could be here."
Brock nodded, completely believing Clemont. Ash sighed quietly, hearing Clemont's lie. Clemont only felt slightly guilty about lying to somebody he just met. It was barely a lie, since Bonnie was sad that Clemont would be with the group, and she would be excluded. Clemont's response definitely wasn't the truth though.
"Well, it's getting pretty late, so I think I'm going to sleep now. Everyone is asleep now, either on the couches or in bed. I just saw Shauna get into one of the guest bedrooms, so I think that's everybody." Brock yawned, his eyes slowly shutting by the second.
"Ok, sure. Is it alright if you show me somewhere I can sleep, Brock?" Clemont asked the taller man. Brock kindly agreed, leading Clemont away to a cot that he could sleep on. Seeing the two leave, Ash groaned as he flopped back onto the sofa, now laying down. "Wow, I'm an idiot." he thought, closing his eyes once again. Still drunk, the teenager didn't think much until he passed out like everyone else.
Beams of sun hit Serena's face, hurting her eyes and making her headache. The blonde-haired girl groaned, turning away from the light while laying on her bed. However, she couldn't escape the sun, which was coming through all the windows of the guest room she was sleeping in. Eventually, she gave in and opened her eyes.
The Pokémon Performer turned to the bed stool, checking the alarm clock.
8:24 AM
"Oh you've got to be kidding me." Serena complained to herself, seeing how early the time was. She also knew that she was already awake at this point. Once she was up, she was up for good. She always had trouble falling back asleep if she woke up in the morning. Trying to ignore the painful headache she was experiencing, Serena got out of bed and got ready. May and Dawn were still asleep, all three of them sharing a guest bedroom. It was normal, considering they were all girls.
Taking a few minutes, Serena brushed her teeth and got changed into new clothes. Unfortunately, she had woken up May during her morning routine.
"Arceus, my head feels like it's about to explode."
In turn, May had woken up Dawn with her whining.
"I swear someone hit me in the back of the head with a hammer!"
Serena and May both winced at how loud Dawn was, especially after having just woken up.
"Does everyone remember last night?" Dawn asked, having definitely drank the most out of the three girls. She had taken shots of vodka all night.
"Mostly? I'm not quite sure." May responded, rubbing her head to ease the pain. The brunette had drunk a fair amount, but definitely not as much as Dawn.
"Yeah. Don't worry, I don't think anything too bad happened." Serena said, experiencing a bit of a hangover. She had drank the least out of the three, but still enough to wake up feeling poorly the next day.
"Hey, where's Shauna? I was with her the whole night." Serena said, looking around the room to find nobody there.
May and Dawn shrugged, having seen the girl a few times during the beginning of the night. However, the latter end of the night was a blur.
"She's probably in another bedroom." May assured, now getting up from bed to get ready. Dawn agreed and copied May, getting ready for the day. Serena nodded, before leaving the room.
Misty drifted in and out of consciousness, smiling at her state. The Gym Leader was the most comfortable she had been in a while. She still had her eyes closed, leaning against what she thought was the hard corner of part of the couch. Misty kept her eyes shut, attempting to fall back asleep.
That is, until she felt what she was lying on move slightly. Quickly, Misty opened her eyes and lifted her head slightly. Her mouth dropped suddenly when she saw it was rather "who" she was laying on.
"AHHHHHH!" Misty screamed, jolting Gary awake and definitely waking up every single member of the household.
Gary sat up, looking frightened at the redhead who was now glaring at him with her fists clenched.
"Why the hell were you sleeping with me?!"
"What? Girl, you were the one who was just on top of me!" Gary replied defensively.
"I would never! Please. You definitely put something in my drink!"
"Are you hearing yourself right now? You sound ridiculous!
"Yeah, well you sound and look ridiculous. There is no way I would be willingly sleeping with you on this couch!
"Spare me the bullshit! If anything, I would never be with you. You're not even pretty. I-" Gary was about to continue until Misty pulled out a metal mallet from out of nowhere, holding it above her head. Gary closed his eyes shut, holding his arms over his head to soften the blow. Misty was ready to swing downwards and strike the former trainer until she heard a familiar voice.
"Arceus, when are you guys gonna get married?" Ash joked, smirking at the two while he drank a mug of coffee on the couch opposite of them. The trainer had been awake for about an hour now, relaxing. As much as he could, considering he felt like complete shit. The hangover he was experiencing was definitely not pretty. However, it wasn't too bad. Up until the two of them decided to get into a full-blown screaming match.
"Seriously, you both looked cute together while you slept on the couch." Brock said seriously from the kitchen counter, currently making breakfast for the whole group. Clemont smiled at the banter, also helping Brock with the food.
Gary sighed in frustration at their comments, while Misty glared at Brock.
It was then that May, Dawn, and Serena had all gotten out of their room. Dawn and Serena decided to sit at the kitchen counter, while May took a seat next to Ash on the couch.
"Well, you girls look great." Iris said sarcastically, who was sitting at the kitchen counter as well. Iris looked normal, considering her and Cilan didn't even have a drop of alcohol last night.
The girls ignored Iris, with the exception of Dawn flicking Iris off playfully.
"Well, I think you all look great!" Cilan commented, beaming at the girls.
"Complimenting them won't help you get into their pants buddy…" Ash whispered, with only May hearing his comment. May giggled at this, falling back into the sofa beside Ash. While the two were close, their legs or arms weren't touching.
"That was unnecessary, Ash" May said, smiling at the boy.
"It was completely necessary. I guarantee you he's trying to shoot his shot with one of you three.
"Ash… I'm ninety percent sure that Cilan is dating Iris."
"Wait, what?" Ash replied obliviously. May laughed once again, her head now leaning against his shoulder while she laughed. "There's no way you're that dense."
"I'm not dense! I just didn't think that they were."
"Think what?" Cilan asked, interrupting the two from their private conversation. It seemed like the whole group was now looking at Ash and May. Ash avoided their eye contact, while May blushed at the attention. Seeing May not willing to speak, Ash sighed knowing he would have to make some excuse.
"Umm, I-I didn't think that… Gary was straight!" Ash said, directing the attention towards Gary.
"What!" Gary yelled, making the whole group laugh at Ash's comment and Gary's reaction. A few seconds later, another door opened, revealing another brunette.
Shauna walked out of the room, wearing her usual outfit of cut off shorts and a casual pink shirt. Her normally sparking green eyes appeared tired due to the previous night. She did have her hair brushed and makeup on, clearly taking care of herself.
The group greeted her normally, with a series of "Good mornings" and "Hey Shauna's" going around the room. Everyone acted normally, with the exception of Ash.
Ash was rarely caught off guard or acted strangely in front of the group. This was one of those rare moments. Ash was in the middle of sipping his coffee when Shauna walked into the kitchen. Once Shauna entered his sight, his eyes bursted wide, a replay of what happened last night automatically playing.
With coffee in his mouth, the Kalos League winner forcefully swallowed it upon seeing the girl he had kissed last night. Unfortunately, Ash began to cough ferociously after swallowing the coffee, gaining everyone's attention. Shauna then looked towards Ash, seeing the familiar boy she was on top of. Shauna immediately blushed, which went unnoticed by everyone besides one person in the group.
"Ash are you alright?" May asked concernedly, rubbing the trainers back while looking at him worryingly.
Ash nodded, quickly, still coughing as he attempted to recompose himself. Serena was staring at Ash, appearing just as concerned as May was.
"I'm alright. Hey Clemont, can you turn on the TV? Let's watch something before breakfast." Ash suggested, attempting to take away the heat from him.
The group didn't think anything of it, with everybody moving to sit on the two couches in the living room. Brock stayed in the kitchen, suspiciously staring at Ash and Shauna as he prepared breakfast. The dark-skinned man didn't fail to notice how Shauna blushed upon seeing Ash. Or how Ash had a coughing fit once she entered his sight. Or how Shauna purposefully sat on the couch Ash wasn't sitting on.
"Something's up…" Brock thought, wondering what could have caused this behavior between the two. The Gym Leader made a mental note to ask Ash about it later. Right now, he had dinner to make everyone.
The group flipped through channels for a while, seemingly finding nothing interesting. Gary helped the remote, sluggishly pressing the next channel after every second. Gary flipped through another channel, about to skip again until the group heard a loud protest.
"Wait! Go back another channel." Dawn commanded Gary, now sitting up seriously. The group looked confused, hearing Dawn wanting to go back to a previous channel. However, Ash had noticed something as well, about to tell Gary to do the same thing. Dawn had beaten him to it.
"Dammit, fine." Gary replied tiredly, feeling the hangover looming over him. The Pokémon Researcher went back another channel, now viewing the news. The group immediately grew serious and quiet upon reading the headlines.
"Viridian City Under Attack by Multiple Legendries!"
The group watched as a news reporter spoke to the audience. She was an attractive young woman, with blonde hair and brown eyes.
"Breaking News. My name is Isa Gomez and I'm reporting here in Viridian City Studio. The city is currently under attack by multiple Legendary Pokemon. We are uncertain as to why, but it is complete chaos outside. People are already flooding into Viridian's hospitals, suffering injuries due to the Legendary Pokémon. We are unsure as to if there are casualties. As of right now, we do not know the reason why these Legendary Pokémon are behaving aggressively. We will now show videos of these attacks. Warning, these videos are quite discomforting and graphic. "
Isa Gomez stopped speaking, videos of the attacks showing now on the TV. The first video showed Entei sprinting across the streets of Viridian City. While sprinting, Entei rammed through several cars and small buildings, creating havoc and destruction. Entei shot several Flamethrowers, directed towards both people and buildings. Luckily, no one seemed fatally wounded in the video.
The next video showed Raikou, partaking in very similar activities. The Legendary Pokemon was both firing thunderbolts at anything and anyone it could, but also fighting alongside another Pokemon. That Pokemon was another Legendary Pokémon, and a part of the Legendary Dogs. Suicine was running rampant as well, attacking Viridian City and its residents.
"If you are located in Viridian City, STAY INSIDE. It is not safe out there right now. We don't know when help is arriving, so keep yourselves safe inside the comforts of your home. For anyone heading into Viridian City, do not come! Turn back now." Isa Gomez finished, with her interview cut off.
"Arceus." Serena muttered, shocked at what was going on.
"That's horrible." Brock said out loud, with the group nodding in sadness.
The group continued to talk about what was going on, the majority of them sad and disturbed about the event transpiring.
Ash sat in silence, clenching his fists. The voices of the group faded away in Ash's ears. The boy remained in thought, debating his next move. After a minute, the trainer had reached a decision.
Suddenly, Ash stood up and began walking towards the front door. The group looked confused at Ash's quiet movements. It was Gary who stepped in front of Ash, placing a hand against his friend's chest to stop him.
"Woah woah woah! What are you doing Ashy?" Gary asked, his mouth open in confusion.
"Well, I thought it was obvious Gary. I'm going to Viridian City."
