Chapter 369 - First Contact

Vampires have always had a tenuous connection with the humans of the outside world, a fact that even the sentinels of the Demon Realm have tacitly acknowledged.

Baron Charlot was fortunate enough to have visited the human world as a young vampire, and it was from that point onwards that he had fallen in love with human girls.

Unfortunately, he could not stay long in the human world before returning to the Demon Realm under the orders of the Duke of Blood.

Today, he was an emissary of the Duke of Blood. Baron Charlot had volunteered to be a diplomat when he heard that Her Highness Cecily was preparing to receive a delegation of emissaries from the human world.

He had even dressed up today in order to welcome the humans and make a good impression on them.

As a High vampire, Baron Charlot was confident in his appearance and had dressed up well today.

At first, Baron Charlot was a little disappointed with the group of human emissaries, as the first carriage was full of male humans.

But when the door of the second carriage opened and a young girl slowly stepped out of the carriage with her skirt up, he began to inwardly thank Her Highness Cecily for granting him the role of diplomat!

The four girls who stepped out of the second carriage were the most attractive human girls that Baron Charlot had ever seen. Especially the one in the long black dress, whose crinkly smile was enough to pull at the heart strings of any man.

What pleased Baron Charlot the most was the look of surprise on the faces of the four girls when they saw him.

"I greet the envoys of Farruci." Baron Charlot had the brightest of smiles plastered on his face, hoping to make the humans feel the goodwill of the Demon Realm.

The four human girls came forward with anticipation on their faces.

Baron Charlot knew that no human girl could resist the charms of a High vampire, and he prepared to greet the human girls with a deep voice.

But they ignored the High vampire and collectively passed him by.

What was going on?

Baron Charlot was slightly surprised when the girls acted as if they hadn't even noticed him. When he looked back, Baron Charlot found that three of them had surrounded General Voss.

"Greetings, I come from the Yakemi family of Farruci. My name is Heidi Yakemi."

The first of the girls lifted her skirt slightly and briefly introduced herself to General Vos.

Heidi was still a bit reserved, but the other two girls already had sparkles in their eyes.

"This one is not like Mr. Zenarth at all. His fur is white, like pure frost and snow."

"His blue eyes are like jewels."

The two young actresses behind Heidi immediately praised Voss.

But General Voss was unmoved.

What were these human women trying to do all of a sudden!

General Voss couldn't help but take a step back. He couldn't understand the strange look in their eyes.

If it had been three human knights with swords, General Voss would have roared and shredded them without mercy. But the way these three human girls behaved left him at a loss for words.

Was this part of their conspiracy? General Voss looked at the approaching human girls. He took out his claws and a fierce look appeared on his face as he gritted his teeth.

This was a warning to the human women to stay away!

"General Voss." Baron Charlot saw the three human girls had scared General Voss into an attacking stance. He instantly realised that something was wrong.

"Heidi! Heidi!"

The middle-aged man who had got out of the first carriage began to shout the name of the young girl at the head of the group.

But just as the disorder was about to worsen, a familiar voice instantly made General Voss withdraw his claws. "Voss."

"Lord ... Lord Zenarth."

General Voss looked up at the sound of the voice and saw a brown-haired demon of sin emerging from the back of the carriage.

Back when Voss was still an unknown soldier at the border fortress, Zenarth was already a general at the side of His Majesty Nordlein.

The human invaders would often tremble at the mere mention of Zenarth's name.

General Voss had always respected and admired the hero of his people, but he had never imagined that he would personally meet him in this way after so many years.

"Don't forget your mission," Zenarth reminded him.

Voss looked down at the three human girls standing in front of him, the first of whom, Heidi, had extended her hand to him.

Voss knew that this was a human ritual known as a handshake, a sign of friendship and cooperation.

But Voss had absolutely no desire to show friendship, let alone cooperation, to these damned invaders!

But … with Zenarth looking on, and remembering the role he was supposed to be playing, he gritted his teeth and extended his hand to the human girl.

This was for the sake of his dignity! He had to disguise his true thoughts.

General Voss continually reminded himself of this as his furry arm gently shook the girl named Heidi.

"Please ... can I shake your hand too!" The human girl beside Heidi asked, a little coy.

Of course not! You lowly humans!

General Voss really wanted to roar this to the human girls in front of him. But in order to expose the human conspiracy, General Voss held back the humiliation and shook the hand of another human girl.

"The hair is so soft ..."

"Even smoother than the hair of the deer my father caught."

A human handshake while touching the back of his hand? General Voss's mouth was on the verge of spitting out green fire as he looked at the two human girls surrounding him.

"All right! Please behave yourselves, girls!"

General Rockmont, the leader of the mission, immediately ordered his daughter and the two actresses to leave the dangerous Sin Demon.

"Once again, ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to Annerlaude, the royal city of the Demon Realm."

Baron Charlot could not understand why the human girls became so excited at the sight of a Sin Demon, but he still did his duty.

"Her Highness, the Second Princess Cecily, has prepared a place for you to stay, so please come with me," baron Charlot said.

"Phew …" it looked like first contact had almost ended in disaster.

Joshua was at the back of the caravan, using his camera to record the first visit of human emissaries to the Demon Realm since centuries.

"Is it really true that the only racial trait of this race of Sin Demons is that they're good at fighting?"

At that moment, Joshua received a message on the magic network from Ciri, who was currently studying with Purple Mage.

Joshua had just sent the pictures he had taken to her.

Joshua understood why Ciri was asking this question. The Sin Demon named Voss was a bit too "good-looking", with his white fur and crystal blue pupils.
