Unaware that Megatron wasn't the only bot seeking Lancex, though not that Megatron cared, Megatron was sitting in the throne area of his base when he was approached by Soundwave. "Statement: have done as requested, Megatron" Soundwave stated in his usual monotonous tone.

"What have you created, Soundwave?" Megatron demanded to know in his usually raspy but authoritative voice.

"Statement: have created two viruses to help you in your quest to secure Lancex" Soundwave answered, knowing that Megatron had wanted the whole shebang with this new bot, including to make sure the Autobot programming was thoroughly deleted.

"Two, why two?" Megatron asked snarkily. He had only expected one to do the job, but he figured that Soundwave had to have a reason for all of this or so Megatron hoped, as he didn't like surprises.

"Statement: one virus to incapacitate target, other to change programming permanently" Soundwave replied. Soundwave knew that Megatron was nothing if not thorough about domination when he set out to do so. "they can be given at the same time or separately if needed."

"And will these viruses harm me?" Megatron asked, wanting to make sure he wasn't the target.

"Statement: no, they will not harm you as long as you don't spark merge with him within 2 hours of him receiving them. They are short lived but extremely powerful viruses" Soundwave explained.

Megatron soon had a sickening grin on his countenance. "Excellent. Now we just need to capture our target" Megatron stated with wicked glee and he instantly began formulating his plan to capture the bot while destroying the rest of the Autobots.

Meanwhile, back in the Autobot base, Lancex roused from his recharge, feeling much warmer than usual, which bothered him. As he flickered on his optics, he saw Optimus to his right, snuggling close. Well, that kind of made sense to Lancex as he figured the Prime must have been running cold in his systems yet again, but the presence on Lancex's back and the big increase in warmth came from the other side of the makeshift berth was Grimlock, who was clinging tightly to the new bot, like a human toddler held tightly to a security blanket. That actually bothered Lancex more than seeing the Prime did, as Lancex understood that sometimes Primes needed help to warm their systems up and it rarely was personal.

Either way, Lancex silently slipped out of the awkward situation and headed out. He didn't want to be here when the pair woke and be blamed for anything, so he headed out. He didn't understand why these two always seemed to find him. He wasn't sure who to talk to as he really didn't trust any of the other Autobots yet. He just hoped something would explain things before things got crazier.
