I went to find Izumi.
Yeeun went inside the dining hall, and found Izumi there.
"Hey there." Izumi said.
I spent time with Izumi.
…
I got closer with Izumi today.
Would you like to give Izumi a gift? Yes!
Item Gifted – 500 TB Harddrive
"Whoaa... how'd you get your hands on this!?" Izumi said. "Nicceee!"
Seeing Izumi so pleased with her gift makes me happy!
…
"Hey, so, what would you and Eunji talk about?" Yeeun asked.
"We talked about my backstory." Izumi said. "But you know it already, don't you?"
"Saving the hospital and all that." Yeeun remarked. "Not gonna lie, it impressed me big time. Especially when I read the article."
"You read the article?" Izumi asked.
"Who didn't?"
"Apparently Eunji didn't."
"Well, she's an idol. Of course she doesn't have time to read articles."
Izumi just stood there, pondering something for a minute, and then spoke up.
"Hey, do you know anything about Nyaboron?" Izumi asked.
"Nya...boron?" Yeeun questioned. "Never heard of that. Is it a snack?"
"Whaaatt? You don't know Nyaboron!?"
I just said that I haven't heard of it.
"It's this really popular anime that's being going on for a long time! I've been watching it for such a long time!"
"Sounds interesting." Yeeun replied. "But Nyaboron sounds pretty childish. Is it a kid's anime?"
"...um..." Izumi fell silent. "I-It is..."
"Well, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, you are 14 after all! You're a kid!"
"H-Hey, I'm mature for my age!"
"You kinda have to be, considering your occupation." The songwriter replied.
How dark Izumi got when that motive was going around...
It really worried me.
"I wasn't going to do that." Izumi stated.
"Huh?" Yeeun asked.
"I wasn't going to... to kill anyone." The hacker replied. "It'd be horrible for anything related to me to get out, but... I would have accepted it. And all the consequences that followed."
"You heard Monokuma, though. It was all false anyways."
"Except for yours."
"Except for mine."
"Do you think that's why you've been safe all along? Do you think your family are protecting you?" Izumi asked.
"I don't know. And I don't need their protection." Yeeun remarked. "I stopped associating with them the moment I ran away from home."
"I can relate to that, in a sense." Izumi sighed.
"Izumi?"
"In order to become the hacker I am today, I had to distance myself from my family, to protect them."
"It must be harder being a hacker, especially at such a young age."
"I'm doing people right, and that's okay with me."
Izumi...
"But, um, enough about me." Izumi replied. "Maybe I should get going."
"Yeah, I'll talk to you later." Yeeun replied.
"And don't forget our agreement." Izumi said. "I'll be seeing you tomorrow."
"Yeah."
Izumi is so strong to have gone through what's she's gone through, especially at such a young age.
I want to protect her.
Well, I guess it's more I want to protect everyone.
But she's one of our hopes to getting out of here...
I wonder what we'll talk about next time.
…
I looked for Takashi.
Yeeun found Takashi in Eunji's lab.
"Eunji never goes here, does she?" Takashi asked.
I chatted with Takashi for a bit.
…
Takashi and I got a little closer today.
Would you like to give Takashi a gift? Yes!
Item Gifted – The Notebook DVD
"Huh, how'd you know to give me this?" Takashi asked. "You are much more observant than believed. Thank you."
Seeing Takashi so pleased with his gift makes me happy!
…
"So, Takashi, getting anywhere with figuring out your talent?" Yeeun asked.
"Honestly? No, not one bit." Takashi said. "Every time I try to figure it out, I just get a huge headache."
"It's strange that you forgot it, though. What exactly happened to you?" Yeeun said.
"I don't know." Takashi scratched his head. "Is it possible that I hit my head when they were transporting me?"
"But you still remember a lot of things about yourself."
"Ugh... I'm getting another headache."
"Then uh, let's forget about that." Yeeun replied.
"Poor choice of words, but yeah, I agree." Takashi sighed.
"I'm sure Eunji knows a lot more, but what can you tell me?"
"Well, I like going out on hikes, and I prefer eating healthy." Takashi said. "I like a lot of movies... hey, why didn't you ask me this until now?"
"I was busy with a lot of stuff." Yeeun replied.
"You mostly hang out with Youngjae and Seungyeon, which makes sense, I suppose." The white-haired boy replied.
"I like talking with all of you, but it is nice talking to those two." Yeeun said. "You know, Eunji and I knew each other before coming here."
"I figured that one out for myself, with how close you two are." Takashi replied. "I wish I could say the same."
"Speaking of, do you like K-pop?"
"I prefer classical, to be honest."
This feels familiar...
"Honestly..." Takashi sighed. "I'm very concerned for Eunji."
"Yeah, tell me about it." Yeeun sighed. "She needs time, but... I miss how she was before. I know it's selfish, especially after what happened to Ayaka..."
"You wanna know something?" The white-haired boy said.
"What?" The songwriter asked.
"Her and Miyumi have been getting very close."
"They have."
"I'm thinking... it might become love."
"D-Do you really think so?" Yeeun asked, shocked.
"You can't deny that those two have been through it all together." Takashi replied. "Or maybe it's just the romantic movie sap in me trying to find something out of nothing."
He does have a point, though.
Eunji and Miyumi... the way they are with each other...
Maybe there is something in there...
"You might be right, though." Yeeun said. "They do have chemistry."
Takashi kinda sighed. "I wish I had more to talk about, but I suppose I'm not all that interesting."
"Hey, I actually have a question." The songwriter said.
"Yeah, what is it, Yeeun?" The white-haired boy replied.
"How are you so good at investigating? Miyumi, I get it, she's a detective, but you...?"
"..."
"Takashi?"
"Honestly? It just comes naturally."
"Is that so?"
"Maybe my talent is Ultimate Undertaker or something, haha."
"That'd be a bit morbid though, wouldn't it?" Yeeun asked.
"You're right." Takashi replied. "Anyways, I'm going to go. See you later?"
"Yeah, definitely."
"Ciao."
Takashi... there's so much mystery to him, despite the fact that he presents himself as such an open book.
What exactly is your talent, Takashi Okazaki?
Who really are you?
Anyways, I guess that mystery can be solved another day.
I look forward to speaking with him again.
…
I went to find Youngjae.
Yeeun entered the gym, just to find Youngjae at one of the bleachers.
"Oh hey!"
I talked with Youngjae.
…
Youngjae and I grew a little closer today.
Would you like to give Youngjae a gift? Yes!
Item Gifted – Rose in Vitro
"Oh..?" Youngjae said. "A little bit flirty, but roses are nice! I'll take it!"
Seeing Youngjae so pleased with his gift makes me happy!
…
"Yeeun." Youngjae said.
"Yeah?" Yeeun replied.
"I'm sorry for what you've gone through in the past."
Oh, this is sudden.
"It's okay, Youngjae." The songwriter replied. "I've grown from it, and I'm sure I became a better person. Or, at the very least, a better person than my family."
"I just can't believe Masahito holding that against you." The babysitter sighed. "It's not like you know this whole entire thing was going to happen."
"It pisses me off that he's treating me like I'm responsible for this whole damn thing."
"It upsets me too."
"What the hell can I do, huh? He pisses me off, but I sure as hell don't want him dead."
"My advice? When my siblings argued, I'd always give them space to think it out and forgive each other. Sometimes it take days, sometimes it took minutes. But it always worked, they'd be playing and talking to each other like normal." Youngjae said.
"I appreciate the thought, Youngjae, but I don't know if that really applies to what's going on here." Yeeun said. "After all, Masahito said some really fucked up shit."
"Yeah, I suppose you got me there." Youngjae scratched the back of his head. "But still, it's the thought that counts."
There was some silence was Youngjae thought about something to say, but then he spoke up.
"Hey, so, do you play chess?" Youngjae asked.
"Can't say I have." Yeeun replied.
"Oh man, that's disappointing." The babysitter said. "But... I can totally teach you how to!"
"Sure, seems like it'd be a fun way to pass time." The songwriter responded.
"Okay."
Hmm...
"Youngjae." Yeeun said. "How did you know about the truth of Ichiro's case?"
"Like I said back then, I'm a thorough investigator." Youngjae replied.
"But you weren't really that thorough last time."
"Honestly? Seeing another of our friends die... it upset me. Maybe it turned on some switch in my head that made me be as thorough as I was. I dunno."
"It did scare me a bit how serious you were during class trial. I never even thought that was a side of you that existed."
"You know what they say, every rose has it's torns."
"You're right."
There was just some silence as Youngjae thought of what to say next, then he spoke up.
"I'm honestly pretty worried about everything." Youngjae sighed.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean... I thought we could trust Ichiro, but then he upped and tried to kill Ayaka. He got her executed." The babysitter sighed. "I just... He was the last person I expected to try and do that."
"I believe that some people always try to hide their true colors. I think before he died, Ichiro revealed his true colors."
"Maybe, and if that's the case... he really had me fooled."
We just fell silent.
"I'm going to go." Youngjae said. "I'll talk to you later, Yeeun."
With that, Youngjae left.
Honestly... I don't really know what to think.
Youngjae is such a really nice guy, but I always had this feeling that there's something more to him than what we know.
Maybe I'm wrong.
I hope I am.
Anyways, I'll look forward to our next meeting, Youngjae.
…
I made my way back to my room, and lied on my bed.
It's barely been a week, and four people are already dead.
God.. I hope nothing worst happens.
When I wake up tomorrow, everyone better still be okay.
And with that, I dozed off into dream land.
