Imagine the person that's always there when you need them, who picks you up when you're down, the person who gives you a hug when you're upset. . .your best friend. . . . turned against you and wanted you dead. Unfortunately, this is what happened to Ladybug.

She was swinging around Paris, with barely a care in the world, when Bunnix had leaped out of her time portal, urgent as ever. Still, she had no idea that it could be anything as serious as Bunnix was indicating.

Dull, pale blue filled her vision. It looked nothing like the city she was just in. The Eiffel Tower had completely plummeted in the waters that covered all of her eye-sight. She couldn't see cement or grass, just water. Everything was underwater. Buildings, trees, cars, and she didn't even want to think about what happened to the innocent Parisians. This was literally the end of the world.

Only one thing was still standing: the Montapanese Tower. And there was a. . . person on it? Ladybug wasn't what it was, but whatever it was, it was very white.

There were thoughts, crowding and racing all through her mind, but the one that stood out the most was 'What happened here?!'.

Bunnix took her closer, but not close enough to see what that white thing was.

Ladybug was mentally questioning everything she was seeing. Did Hawk Moth cause this? An akumatized villain? How could this get so out of hand? Was this. . . her fault?

Other ruminations came into her head, but were interrupted by Bunnix leaving.

"You're not staying?"

"Let's say I gotta stand back ready to jump back in time and try something else," The adult inquired, her body half way inside her portal. "In case you fail."

"No pressure there!" The bug-ette thought.

She walked further across Montparnasse Tower, which she was standing on, wondering, "how the heck am I supposed to fix this?!" when she saw him singing on the edge of the tower.

"Little kitty on a roof, all alone without his lady."

"Cat. . .Noir?" She gawked.

Ladybug's heart dropped into the pit of her stomach. He wasn't noir at all. Cat Noir looked similar to her old partner, but his suit was white, his hair was white. The only thing that wasn't was his pale, blue, cold eyes. The same pair of eyes that used to be a beautiful emerald green. Eyes that you could get lost in. These ones were not the pair that Ladybug always cherished.

An akumatized victim had caused all this and that made her want to scream. With this traumatising scene, there was no future. But that's not what hurt Ladybug most. Her partner, her kitty, had to have been in enough pain to cause this disaster.

"Cat Noir."

Her kitty turned, curious to who could have possibly spoken in this deserted area.

"M'lady!"

The white figure turned around and jumped off the ledge to greet his partner.

"I thought I'd lost you! Oh, I was feline so sad that you were gone!"

As the figure (that Ladybug thought was creepy) was walking towards her, but warning bells were ringing like crazy in her mind so she could only backtrack with her hands in a 'surrender' sign.

"What's happened to you?!" the spotted hero questioned, but soon regretted it. "No! Don't tell me! We're gonna fix everything!"

Ladybug was phased. She really had no clue what had happened and how she was supposed to turn everything back to normal. And the state of her beloved partner only wounded her, but motivated her to finish the mission Bunnix had assigned for her.

"Of course we're gonna fix everything! Now that you're back and that you're going to. . ." Cat blanc circled around Ladybug like an actual cat before pouncing on her, targeting her ear lobes. ". . .GIVE ME YOUR MIRACULOUS!"

Cat Blanc was holding onto her earrings with a firm grip, but Ladybug was skilled and alert, so she held onto his arms and pulled herself up to kick him in the chest to get him off of her.

"My miraculous?" The blue-eyed hero stood spinning her yo-yo, shocked. "What's wrong with you, Cat Noir?!"

The cat-being got to his feet, taking a more polite turn to his craving. "Sorry. I didn't mean to be rude, M'lady." He stuck his hand out in front of him. "Could you please hand me your miraculous? Please? Cat Blanc has. . .gotten into some mischief." Cat turned his head away from his lady in shame and guilt.

Marinette put her yo-yo away and headed over to her suffering partner.

The alarm bells had disappeared and Ladybug didn't feel so frightened. She took one look at his expressions and all Ladybug felt was sympathy.

"You've been akumatized, Cat Noir. You don't need my miraculous. You need me to de-evilize you. Let me help you." The bug lifted her finger to his cheek to wipe the tear that had just fallen.

"Save me" He whimpered.

No words could describe how wounded his hurt face made the hero. She tried her best to hold back her own tears. She couldn't keep him in this awful state. She just couldn't. She had to fix this mess, no matter the cost.

"My poor kitty," Ladybug put a hand on his shoulder before searching his outfit for where the akuma could be. "Tell me, do you remember where the akuma went?"

Cat Blanc's clear distressed expression was now gone and replaced with an evil smirk, his blue eyes showing craziness. He grabbed ahold of his lady's hand and placed it against his heart.

"Here! But it's already broken!"

A long battle occurred after that moment. The main things Ladybug remembered Cat Blanc saying was:

"NOW YOU'RE BREAKING MORE THAN MY HEART, MARINETTE!"

Marinette knew that knowing each other's identities would end oh so terribly, but she would never have guessed that it would get her best friend akumatized and destroy the whole earth.

And she had broken his heart? But she'd never considered Cat as anything more than her best friend. She cherished him, but not to the point where she'd fall in love with him. Is this why he was hurting so much?

"It was our love that did this to the world, M'lady."

That one line made sure that she was to eliminate any possible hint of love she could have felt for her kitty, despite the fact she wouldn't admit it.

The only clues she had to explain how this all happened was that Cat Noir knew her identity and that they fell in love.

But this was Ladybug's fault. She let her guard down and she put her heart above her head once again.

She couldn't ever let this happen again. She couldn't demolish the world from existence and she couldn't cause her partner to be in this condition. She just couldn't.

Black ash smeared the ground of the underwater city. Two grey, rusty figures stood in front of it, not moving. Ladybug swam closer with her yo-yo in her mouth. Ladybug was stupefied. Standing there before her was herself. But not her. The 'her' of this time was ash!

Cat Blanc had killed her! Ladybug knew that she had hurt him and she was penitent for that, but the person who had always been on her side, had killed her!

? ゚ミ゙? ゚ミ゙? ゚ミ゙?

"What did you do to them?!" First fear, then empathy, and now anger. Ladybug would have never imagined Cat to be the type of person that would use violence as a way to channel his fury.

"I didn't mean to," His back was turned to her. "Why won't you help me fix this?" He turned to face her now, rage written all over his expressions. "The truth is, you don't love me anymore. So I might as well destroy you, me, our memories, EVERYTHING!"

In an instant, Cat Blanc lunged forward to attack his prey, but Ladybug couldn't do anything. She was in shock.

In shock she may be, but she definitely noticed the gloved hands gripping aggressively around her neck, claws digging into her skin.

Ladybug gave out a cry in pain, though her 'partner' didn't think anything of it. He only tightened his hold.

Ladybug couldn't scream in pain from the sharp claws anymore, only gasping for the air she was lacking.

With the only energy she had left, she tried to kick at him, hoping to push him off of her, but missed as he was too far out of her reach.

Once darkness surrounded her, letting consciousness kick in, Cat Blanc let go of Ladybug. Blood trickled down her neck that leaked from the ten holes of which Cat Blanc's claws had dug deep in.

Ladybug was falling off the Eiffel Tower and into the waters below. But she was unconscious! Ladybug's breathing still wasn't top-notch, when she landed in the ocean with no air at all she would surely be held captive of death!

Right as she was about to perish in the pool beneath her, she woke up from her sleep and inhaled a ginormous gasp as she realised her state.

Many painful blows and cataclysm's later, Ladybug finally de-evilized Cat Blanc and brought him back out of possession and back to his normal self again.

The bug was beaten up with bloody wounds and bruises everywhere. Though her biggest scar was not visible to the world.

She had trusted her partner with everything. Cat Noir was her shoulder to cry on and someone to pick her up when she was discouraged. He had said the words "Y'know, if you ever want to talk about anything I'm always here for you".

What had she done that was so bad that he would hurt — no, kill her?!

Maybe he hadn't meant all those things he said to her about how amazing he thought she was, or how they were partners so he would always put her first.

Maybe Cat didn't really love her. . . .

Why are you sad about him not loving you? I thought that's what you wanted? You love Adrien, so why does that sentence hurt you so much?

Because I may have felt a little something for Cat Noir. . .

But she immediately incinerated those feelings because loving her kitty caused him to get akumatized.

Ladybug couldn't help but feel like she was a danger to society as being passionate about someone she would mentally destroy them and physically destroy the rest of the earth unintentionally.

The weak hero cried out with as much energy as she could. "Miraculous Ladybug…."

With an instant her wounds had healed from the magical, repairing ladybugs.

Well, most of her wounds anyway. All but one.

The fact that she may never be able to trust Cat Noir as much ever again hurt her more than any of the deep, gory cuts and openings she had just gotten.

She may never be as comfortable or as truthful with him ever again.
