A year later in this life, something had happened.
Aisha became pregnant again with our sixth child. After 9 months, she gave birth to our son.
Leon Greyrat.
Aisha wanted Leroy, but the name didn't really resonate with me well. Maybe because I heard it as a joke in my other… another past life as a NEET. I'm sure it's a great name here, I just didn't want to be reminded of that annoying joke. Eris wanted to name him Ars but me and surprisingly Aisha said no. For me, it felt weird calling another boy Ars. For Aisha, she didn't want another "A" name for our child. But Aisha really wanted Leroy as his name, so I went with a compromise.
So I called him Leon, it sounded similar. Aisha was fine with it but Eris got grumpy but accepted it anyway.
Leon was a very energetic child with a fondness for big breasts. This child would snuggle up to all the women of the Greyrat family.
"Ah Leon, those are my breasts. You are such a brat." Aisha said, smiling and giggling.
"Don't spoil him too Aisha." Lilia said, smiling while sitting in an armchair, watching Aisha and her new grandchild.
"Ehhh, but don't you spoil him too mother?"
Lilia looked away slightly, "I don't know what you mean dear." I could see her smiling.
Paul smirk, "it can't be helped, he's a Greyrat son alright."
Aisha sighs, "don't remind me father."
I honestly hope Leon doesn't grow up to be a scummy person like Paul, no offense but it's true.
But I didn't have to worry.
That was fifteen years ago, Leon is 16 now. He left for Asura Academy, to study more. That was the plan for all of our children. Once they finished the Magic University, they would go on to Asura Academy to continue learning.
All of our children have grown up well.
Rufus is now President of the Mercenary Corp, along with Abigail as Vice President. Me and Aisha decided to retire and left the fate of the Corp to them. They have done well actually, helping Orsted with whatever he needs. We help every now and then, or for small things though. Both have gotten married and already have children. So me and Aisha were ready for our jobs as grandparents.
The twins are doing well, Adrian is helping his older siblings with jobs and helping train new recruits. He doesn't do much pranks anymore, he's mostly mellowed out. He has also met a young warrior woman and apparently got together. She seems to help them out with some of his missions. Rishia is now a teacher at the Magic University, helping teach young mages of course. She has long since got out of her shell and has become a very social person. She met a shy young man and they hit it off. They plan to get married soon in Millis fashion since the young man is from the Millis Continent.
Eisha has become a very renowned healer and has opened up a shop in the Magic City to help the more unfortunate. It has become very popular for all races and classes alike.
Leon is starting school in Asura, he grew up smart and capable just like his sibling.
Paul has grown pretty old so he doesn't do much sword practice anymore. Lilia and Zenith are getting old as well, they mostly sit in the garden outside, Paul is with them now. They are also getting ready for their jobs as great grandparents.
Eris still trains, she's outside right doing her practice swings.
Right now, me and Aisha are just sitting on the sofa. Enjoy each other's company, with her holding me and me wrapping my arms around her shoulder. We were just talking about these past 15 years. About how our children have grown into fine adults and that we can't wait to see our grandchildren.
"Hey Rudy."
"Yeah?"
"Are you happy with this life?"
This life…
Many years have passed since coming here. I have forgotten about going back to my previous ones. I honestly didn't feel like going back, I felt as though this was my life. I wanted this one, I felt at peace. When Leon was born, I decided that this life is what I should focus on. So I dropped the idea of going back, I was fine here.
"Yes Aisha, I'm very happy here. I wouldn't change it for another."
Aisha smiled, she seemed content with that answer.
"I love you Rudeus. I'm glad you are my husband."
"I love you Aisha, and I'm glad that you are my wife."
We sat there for a while before sleep had taken over me.
I wouldn't change it, I love Aisha.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
"Onii-chan it's to get up. You've slept all day, Sylph-nee told you not to stay up too late." Aisha said, pushing me to get up.
I awoke, and sat up right which surprised Aisha.
"Ah! Onii-chan, what's wrong?" She said, concerned.
Honestly, I didn't know. I felt as though I was looking for something.
"Uh… nothing just…nothing at all."
Aisha sat by my side, "did you have a bad dream?"
I shook my head, "I felt like it was a good dream just… I don't know." I felt like something was taken. "It just felt like I've lost something good."
Aisha looked concerned, "aww, don't worry. I'm sure it will come back. If it was a good dream, you'll have it again when you sleep."
I'm not sure.
"I think I've lost it for good." I lowered my head.
Aisha placed a hand on my cheek, "don't be sad Onii-chan, I'm sure good dreams like that will come back. You just gotta find out what made that dream possible. Once you do, you'll find it again." She smiled warmly.
I felt my heart skip a beat, then suddenly…
"Ah! Onii-chan? What's wrong?" Aisha said, startled.
I suddenly hugged her tightly. I felt like I didn't want to let her go.
"Can we… stay like this for a while?" I said as I buried my face into her neck.
"Eh? But Sylph-nee, Roxy-nee, and Eris-nee are waiting for you."
I didn't want to let go.
"Please Aisha, can we stay like this for a while?" I said, not moving.
Aisha thought for a moment before hugging me back warmly, "Okay Onii-chan."
"Forever?"
"Mmm… you're being unfair. But then again, I don't mind at all." She hugged me tight.
I remember what that dream was.
"Aisha…"
"Yes?"
I pulled away for a moment to see her face only to kiss her on the cheek. She was surprised and was blushing a lot. I went back to burying my face into her neck again.
"I love you."
Still starstruck, she managed to say…
"I love you too, Rudeus."
I didn't want that dream to end.
