Chapter 1: Festival of Orahaoya

As the rising sun lit up the ocean in glittering light, a large passenger jet slowly descended toward Ora Island island and its sea of greenery.

"There it is, Ora Island." Ash said as he stared out the window from his seat.

"Pika Pikachu." Pikachu looked on with similar awe at the Island's wonder and majesty.

"It's beautiful, isn't it, Satoshi!" Serena beamed brightly as she held a baby boy. Ash and Pikachu turned back to the infant in Serena's arms, who giggled. Even as a baby, Satoshi bore a striking resemblance to his father and similarly had hints of raven-black hair. However, Satoshi's eyes came from Serena, gleaming a light blue, while his skintone was a perfect mix of both parents.

"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu climbed down Ash's arm and nuzzled his face against baby Satoshi's, causing him to laugh again and rub the sides of Pikachu's head.

Even after three months since his birth Ash and Serena couldn't take their eyes off Satoshi, now the most precious thing in the world to them.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we're coming in for a landing. Please fasten your seatbelts." The captain said over the intercom. Moments later, Satoshi let out another excited noise while looking out the window, his eyes flashing blue for a moment as he did so.

"Ahh! Ash, he did it again!"

Ash smiled lovingly and proudly down at his son before carefully taking Satoshi and placing him in his lap.

"Hai, I'm not surprised. He's exceptionally strong with aura, and Ora is the greatest aura nexus in the world." Ash took a deep breath before his and Pikachu's eyes flashed blue too. They both tried to take in the sea of aura which surrounded Ora, but upon doing so, Ash thought he heard a faint whisper.

"Eh?" Ash muttered while looking closer.

"Ash?" Serena asked, looking slightly puzzled.

"It's nothing." Serena had done her best to learn more about aura since it played such a significant role in Ash's life. Yet it remained limited to experiences through him, via an aura bond he'd made with her.

Even so, she was excited for the Festival and what it would mean to Ash, not to mention Satoshi. After another few minutes, the plane touched down and slowly taxied over to a small airport that had clearly been recently established.

Fortunately for Ash and Serena, they sat near the front, so getting out was a simple matter. Ash handed Satoshi back to Serena before removing their luggage, including one suitcase, which he handled with just as much care as he would've Satoshi.

From there, they entered the jet bridge and waited for two more passengers.

"I see someone handled the flight well." Delia giggled as she and Felix approached, and both stroked their grandson, who laughed back.

"He really did! We're very lucky. He never seems to cry at inconvenient times." Serena exhaled in relief, thinking back to the last three months since his birth and how little he actually cried.

"You can thank his aura connection for that." Felix chuckled while extending one of his fingers for Satoshi to hold.

"Hmm, now that I think about it. Ash never cried that often as a baby either." Delia said while holding her chin.

"Hai, because like his father, Ash has a strong aura connection. Meaning that even at a young age, he naturally reached out and felt our aura, allowing him to feel our presence and instinctively feel safer. Satoshi's connection is even stronger than either of ours, so he's doing much the same.

Serena beamed at hearing this and kissed his cheek.

"That's amazing! He already knows how much we love him!"

"Where are they!?"

"They're probably still on the plane!"

"Out of my way, I'm getting the first picture of that baby!"

"Pika!" Pikachu growled alongside Felix's Lucario.

Soon Ash, Serena, Delia, and Ash looked at each other with matching, concerned expressions.

"Reporters, how did they find us already!?" Serena groaned.

"Given the nature of the tournament here and who else is competing, your presence was probably a foregone conclusion."

Serena sighed again.

"I love mama, but why did she have to let slip about Satoshi." The Kalos Queen said while holding him closer. Neither she nor Ash appreciated how relentless the press was around them, given their positions in the Pokemon world.

The last thing either of them wanted was Satoshi becoming a craze for them.

Delia narrowed her eyes and shook with rage.

"Why can't they just leave you alone! I'm going to give them a piece of my mind!"

"Delia, they won't listen to reason." Felix said while taking her by the shoulder.

"Dad's right. Which means we'll need to distract them." Ash and Felix nodded to each other. Ash handed one of the suitcases to Delia and explained its contents.

"Oh my!"

"Be very careful with it, mom."

"Hai!" Ash let Lucario out of his Pokeball before taking a deep breath.

"They want a spectacle. We'll give it to them." Pikachu, Felix, and both Lucario smirked while Serena beamed and Delia smiled.

"That's my boy."

Together, Ash and Felix walked into the airport gate where twenty or so ravenous reporters waited for them like a pack of hungry Houndoom.

"There he is!" One snarled, and soon a barrage of camera flashes overcame the father and son.

"Kaiser Ash, are you confident about your Lucario's chances in the tournament, given he was beaten by Champion Daniel's Lucario in your last battle!?"

"Where's Serena, Kaiser!? Is it true you two have a baby boy!?"

"Where's your son!? Kaiser?!"

"Who's this!?"

Felix and his Lucario stepped forward.

"My name is Felix Ketchum, and I'm also entering the tournament with my Lucario."

"Felix Ketchum! Wait, don't tell me you're the Kaiser's father!?"

"Hai! I also trained former Kaiser Daniel Rian!"

"Ehhh!?" The reporters now swarmed them both, however, not alone. Several excited trainers in the airport similarly dashed over, eager to meet Ash and his two Pokemon currently out.

However, during all the chaos, Serena and Delia carefully snuck out of the gate towards the concourse. Yet just when they nearly reached safety, Satoshi let out a cry and reached for Ash.

"Satoshi, shhhh!" Serena pleaded.

"Nani!?" Several reporters nearly heard this and were about to turn when Ash and Felix acted.

"Dad, how do you feel about a sparring match before the tournament!?"

"Absolutely!" Ash and Felix began throwing strikes at each other while their Lucario's mirrored the movements.

"Ahhh!" The crowd backed up and gazed in awe at the sparring match.

"Hey, no battles in the terminal!" A security guard shouted before he saw who it was.

"Ahhh!? Kaiser Ash!? Autograph, autograph!" The guard's face turned red, and he almost skipped over.

Serena, Delia, and Satoshi kept their heads down, avoiding all detection with the exit just up ahead.

"Just a little further!"

"Hey, is that!?" Someone shouted, nearly causing Serena to yelp.

Just then, a pair of arms reached out from beyond a corner and pulled them out of sight.

"Where'd they go!?"

Serena covered Satoshi's mouth as the reporters and fans ran past them.

"Ahhh." Serena and Delia sighed before noticing Satoshi giving another excited expression while reaching forward.

"Hello, my precious little rhyhorn." Delia and Serena looked back up and barely contained their gasps when they saw Grace standing in front of them, now stroking Satoshi's face.

"Mama!"

"Serena, Delia. I'm glad you had a safe flight. Now come on, let's get out of here."

Back at the terminal, Ash and Felix continued their sparring match with no sign of the reporters or fans losing interest.

However, Pikachu quickly nudged Ash, indicating Serena, Delia, and Satoshi had gotten away.

The father and son broke off their sparring match when both Lucario did the same.

"Sayōnara!" Ash, Felix, and both Lucario blasted the ground with aura spheres, knocking most of the reporters back and temporarily blinding the crowd with blue light.

By the time they regained their senses, Ash, Felix, and their Pokemon had vanished.

"Hey!? Where'd they go!?"

"Grrr! Find them!"

The reporters scattered, with many leaving the airport while Ash and Felix watched from the rooftop.

"Relentless as ever, aren't they." A familiar voice reached them.

A few feet away, sitting on the rooftop, rested none other than Daniel Rian and his Lucario.

"Daniel, you made it!"

"Pika!" Ash, Felix, and Pikachu were all equally happy to see Daniel. Yet his Lucario and Ash's shared mutually competitive smiles.

"You think we'd miss out on a chance to come to Ora and compete in such a tournament!" Daniel laughed while his Lucario gazed out at the island, soaking in its aura.

The Mirai Champion took a deep breath and did the same.

"I've wanted to come here for some time, see where the first Lucarios and Aura Guardians came from, and of course, pay my respects to Orahaoya." Daniel spoke in a somber tone, and soon the others gave similar expressions before nodding.

"Where are Cynthia and Stephen?" Ash asked.

"Hopefully, at the hotel by now. Like you, I didn't care much for the press harassing my wife and son, so I similarly provided a distraction and have been waiting for the right moment to move through the village myself."

Ash, Felix, and their Pokemon sweatdropped.

"I take it you'll be entering the tournament too, sensei."

"Hai, Lucario, and I have been looking forward to this. Competing against my son and former student." Daniel's Lucario, and Felix's soon mirrored their trainer's competitive smirks.

"I hope you're ready, sensei, and you too, Ash." Daniel turned his smile back to his own former student.

"I'm quite happy as a regional Champion, but that doesn't mean I won't try to take back the crown one day."

"Good, it wouldn't be exciting otherwise."

"Pika!"

"Grouuu!"

"Alright, clear up!" A loud voice boomed from below, and soon, they spotted a team of guards with Ursaring and Toxicroak breaking up the reporter search parties. The security forces wore tan uniforms with a logo sewen into the coats depicting a black Urshifu.

After a minute or two, enough reporters cleared up, allowing the three to come down with their Pokemon.

"We'd best get moving before they come back." Felix sighed.

"Definitely, but we should probably split up, less we draw more attention to ourselves." Daniel said, making Ash and Felix sweatdrop with their Pokemon before nodding.

"I'll see you both at the hotel." Daniel and his Lucario went off in one direction, leaving Ash and Felix to go off in the other.

As they walked, the father and son got a good look at Gisei village. The locals wore blue tunics with distinct symbols painted across their faces and exposed skin. Additionally, Lucario took notice of how many Riolu dwelled among the locals.

Gisei was an interesting settlement, to say the least. Based on the jungle's edge with farmland around it, many vines and trees remained masterfully landscaped among fine stone buildings, roads, and more modern structures. These included shops, a Pokemon center, a theater, and similar establishments, each sporting the Urshifu logo.

However quaint the locals might've seemed by appearance, Ash and Felix noticed an amicable demeanor about them as they took in various guests and visitors, many of them having Lucarios.

"No way I'm losing this one! I won the Sinnoh league last year with Thrasher!" A young woman declared while emphasizing her Lucario.

"Oh yeah, I took down three of a Battle Frontier Brian's team with my Lucario!" Another trainer countered.

Similar conversations continued across the village while other trainers posed for photographs with their Lucarios.

"Please, just one more photo!"

"Ok, but only one." A familiar voice said sternly.

Ash and Pikachu turned to see none other than Maylene and her Lucario being photographed by a reporter.

"Arigato!" The reporter left as Maylene, and her Lucario sighed.

"Fame is not all it's cracked up to be." Ash chuckled.

"Ash!" Maylene quickly covered her mouth and frantically looked around for more reporters while sweatdropping.

"Sorry." She muttered.

"It's ok. I'm glad to see you here. Congratulations on joining the Sinnoh Elite Four."

"Arigato!" Maylene beamed with a slightly bashful expression.

"That means a lot coming from the Kaiser and his Lucario." Maylene's Lucario approached Ash's and clasped both paws together while respectfully bowing his head.

"Grouuu."

"Grouu." Ash's Lucario replied in a friendly but slightly challenging tone.

"This should be exciting between you, Cynthia, and Daniel."

"The young only consider the young a threat, I see." A deeper voice said.

Now Felix smiled widely upon seeing an older man approach with his Lucario.

"Gurkinn, I hoped I'd see you here."

"Felix." The two grandfathers shook hands while Ash blinked with Maylene.

"Dad, you know Gurkinn?"

"Hai, we were once great rivals. Though I find it funny, you scold the young, considering my student made handy work of you back in Kalos when you were still the Shalour Gym Leader."

Gurkinn narrowed his eyes slightly but didn't stop smiling.

"I'm still quite formidable in my age, Felix. Let's see if the same is true for you."

"Indeed, we shall." The older men and their Lucarios exchanged fiery but respectful glances.

"Gurkinn, where's Korrina?" Ash asked before he sighed with his Lucario.

"Unfortunately, she couldn't make it. She and Red are competing in a tag team tournament against the two leading Kanto Battle Frontier Brians."

"Hai, that's too bad."

Gurkinn rolled her eyes.

"Ever since Red proposed to her, she's practically refused to leave his side." Maylene giggled.

"It sounds like she's truly in love."

"Right." Gurkinn muttered.

Ash and Felix eventually continued when they spotted a battle between two Lucario's going in the streets.

"Aura Sphere!"

"Detect and Sword's Dance!" One Lucario masterfully dodged an incoming aura sphere before surrounding himself in a blue aura.

"Force Palm!"

Both Lucario clashed with the powered-up one, easily throwing his opponent back.

"Ahh, Lucario!" The second trained tried to help her Lucario up when the first offered them a hand.

"That was a good battle." Cameron said while the younger trainer sighed.

"I agree. You were both awesome." Cameron's eyes widened, as did Lucario's. The surrounding trainers all yelped and trembled upon seeing Ash in front of them.

"Ahhh!? Kaiser Ash!" Before they knew what hit them, Ash, Lucario, and Pikachu found themselves swarmed.

"Aww, Pikachu, he's so cute!" A trainer squealed as she tried to stroke him.

"Pika." Pikachu said bashfully as he found himself at the mercy of the trainers.

Just as many and their Lucarios surrounded Ash's Lucario, each one bowing respectfully to him.

Felix did his best to keep the trainers away from his son, but Cameron broke through.

"Alright, that's enough! Let him breathe!" Cameron scolded the younger trainers before reaching Ash.

"Cameron, I'm glad you made it."

"Thanks. When I heard about this tournament and that you'd be attending, we couldn't stay away. Besides, I think everyone will be shocked to learn that I once beat the Kaiser here."

"What!?" The trainers yelped in disbelief while Cameron smiled widely.

"Hai, many years ago in the Unova League." Ash didn't sound embarrassed or angry in the slightest bit. However, he did look quite competitive while stepping closer.

"I've been hoping for a rematch with you, Cameron. Now we'll get the chance."

Ash's Lucario mirrored his expression, causing Cameron and his Lucario to nod eagerly.

"Woah."

"There he is!?" Felix, Ash, and Cameron cringed when they saw a mob of reporters heading toward them.

"Great, again-" Ash started when Cameron and the trainers formed a protective wall between them and their Kaiser.

"Go! We'll hold them off!"

"Arigatō!" Ash and his father ran off when they both nearly trembled alongside their Lucarios upon feeling an overwhelming aura prescence that literally lit up the village.

A great blue crystal emanating with pure aura stood surrounding a stone shrine, clearly built long ago by the locals. Indeed, many villagers, Riolu and Lucario, stood before the crystal and placed their hands upon it, heads lowered in respect.

"Kaiser!" Several reporters tried to surround them when the two men and Lucarios sensed something else, or rather someone else, approaching.

Ash and the others' gazed in awe as men and women wearing hooded blue robes, body paint, some padding on their elbows and knees, and cloth covering their mouths moved like ninjas alongside various buildings, trees, and vines grown in from the jungle with a Lucario beside each of them.

Leading these hooded figures was a young woman and a familiar man.

"What the?"

The figures and their Lucario now came down, unleashing bursts of aura in spheres or whips, scattering the reporters and their Pokemon, who fled in panic.

"And stay away!" The young woman roared alongside her Lucario.

"No respect for such a sacred place." The familiar figure said while shaking his head.

"Riley!" Ash cried. Riley smiled while lowering his hood and mouth covering.

"Ash, it's been too long." The two men clasped hands while their Lucario respectfully bowed their heads.

"There he is, the Kaiser's Lucario. I'm glad to see you finally unlocked your potential with Aura."

"Arigatō, I have Daniel to thank for that."

"And Daniel has me." Felix chuckled.

Riley looked slightly shocked to see Felix.

"Felix, is that you?"

"Riley, it's been a while."

"Wait, you two know each other?"

Felix and Riley nodded with cordial smiles.

"One Aura Guardian to another. So might you finally become an Aura Guardian yourself, Ash? You're more than qualified."

Ash took a deep breath before shaking his head.

"No, as much as I'd like to, between my duties as Kaiser and my new son, I just don't have the time."

Riley nodded.

"I understand. Still, the Aura Guardians here are eager to meet you."

"Kaiser, Ash, and Master Felix! Welcome!" The young woman and her Lucario rushed forward. She lowered her hood to reveal black hair and green eyes.

"My name is Gima. It's an honor to have you both in Gisei Village!"

"Grouuu!"

Ash, Pikachu, and Lucario all noticed the way these Aura Guardians and their Lucario looked at him as if seeing a legendary Pokemon. Ash often got such glances due to his status as Kaiser. However, he soon realized that there was something fundamentally different about the way they gazed upon him.

"Could he really be his reincarnation!?"

"Maybe, he looks just like him!"

"Nani?"

"This way!" Gima eagerly led them closer to the glowing crystal, where two murals appeared painted on the stone base.

Ash and Pikachu almost jumped as they instantly recognized one of them.

"Sir Aaron!?"

"Pika!?"

Gima nodded fondly as she approached the mural.

"Indeed, sir Aaron was born and raised on Ora island. He was among the greatest Aura Guardians to ever live and holds a special place in our hearts and Orahaoya's." Gima sighed before lowering her head with the others.

Ash was flooded with memories of Sir Aaron's Lucario but realized that those memories felt far more vivid than any typical ones.

"Pika!" Pikachu pointed to Ash's Lucario, who almost trembled while gazing upon the mural. Felix and his Lucario saw it too, and Ash's Pokemon slowly approached the painted likeness of Sir Aaron before stroking it with a longing expression.

"Lucario?" Ash started before he and the others saw a second mural. This one depicted a legendary Pokemon who looked like an enhanced Mega Lucario.

"Is this, Orahaoya?" Ash asked in awe.

"Hai, and she's still here." Riley pointed to the statue, which he, Gima, and the other Guardians bowed their heads in respect.

Felix and his Lucario did the same, but something about the crystal felt almost alive, as if someone remained inside, much like the staff that contained Aaron's Lucario.

Something drew Ash and his Lucario closer until they both touched the crystal itself.

"Aaron! Aaron!"

Ash and Lucario almost jumped backward upon hearing the voice cry out in their heads.

"Ash!" Felix shouted.

Riley, Gima, and the other Guardians watched in similar disbelief. While they didn't hear the voice, they knew something had happened.

"Beautiful isn't she." Another voice said.

A tall, blonde-haired, blue-eyed man approached Ash with several of the uniformed guards beside him. He wore a tan suit with the same Urshifu seal upon the front pocket approached with an Urshifu at his side.

"Her sacrifice wasn't in vain, and she left behind a remnant reminder of her courage." He said while caressing the crystal.

"Ahh, Mr. Ubbe!" Gima said while gesturing towards him.

"Ash, this is Mr. Ubbe of the Icelandic Corporation. He's the one who financed Gisei's revitalization and hosted the tournament." Riley said.

"Greetings, Kaiser Ash. It's a pleasure to meet the world's strongest Pokemon trainer." Mr. Ubbe offered his hand, which Ash shook, noting the man's firm grip.

"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Ubbe. Thank you for the invitation."

"No, the honor is all mine. To host so many fine Lucario trainers here is quite exciting."

"Mr. Ubbe, if you don't mind me asking. What brought you to invest in Gisei?" Felix asked curiously.

Ubbe smiled fondly while looking back at the mural of Orahaoya and then the crystal.

"Orahaoya's story touched me. A Pokemon who raised a human as her own son and then gave her life for both him and those of this island. I thought giving new life to her home and sponsoring a tournament would honor her memory."

Ubbe took a deep breath and smiled back at Ash.

"I'm excited to see what all these Lucario are capable of, not to mention a legendary performance from Kalos Queen Serena. Perhaps Orahaoya will enjoy the Festival too."

Ash, Felix, Pikachu, and their Lucario gazed back at the crystal with heavy hearts.

"Hai."

Ash and Felix eventually arrived at the hotel.

There, Ash and Pikachu sat on the bed while watching Satoshi crawl around on a blanket, playing with a few stuffed Pokemon dolls.

Ash and Pikachu smiled warmly upon seeing the happiness on Satoshi's face as he hugged a stuffed Charmander tightly.

"Pika." Pikachu came down beside Satoshi with Ash before the two offered him a different doll. Ash held a Squirtle while Pikachu did the same with a stuffed Pikachu.

Satoshi, however, ignored them and kept hugging the Charmander tightly.

"Pika." Pikachu sighed while Ash chuckled.

"Serena, I think Charmander might be his favorite Pokemon!"

"Well, that's good cause we'll have a real one around very soon!" Serena giggled as she stood beside Charline and Charizard. Their suite had an enlarged area specifically meant for bigger Pokemon like Charizard.

Both fire Lizards rested beside each other, with Charline cradling a fiery orange egg in her arms.

"Grauuu!" Charline beamed, her snout nuzzling against the egg while Charizard similarly nuzzled her.

"You're going to be a great mother, Charline. I know it." Serena assured her before they heard a pinging noise.

"Ahh, it's a message from Koko and Lillie." Ash said while checking their room's phone.

Serena picked up Satoshi in her arms before coming over beside Ash. There, she saw a picture of Koko with Lillie and Zarude. However, upon closer inspection, Zarude held a pair of babies in his strong arms, all five looking exceptionally happy.

"Ahh, the twins! They're so cute! Not as cute as you, though, Satoshi!" Serena doted over her son while kissing his cheek. Ash and Pikachu stared at the baby with similar loving expressions.

Moments later, there was a knock on the door, and upon opening it, Ash saw his parents plus Grace.

"Where is he!?" Delia half asked, half demanded. Ash gestured to Serena, who soon found herself surrounded by the three.

"Alright, hand him over! Grandma needs time with her grandson!" Grace eagerly took Satoshi from Serena while Delia tickled his stomach, making him laugh.

"Ahhh, he's so precious! It's like having you as a baby again, Ash!" Delia almost teared up, but Felix made no attempt to hold back. He held his grandson tightly while thinking back to his years lost with Ash.

"Just have him back in no more than an hour! We have to feed him!" Serena said sternly to her mother and in-laws.

"Relax, Serena, we have formula too." Delia said while taking out a bottle.

"Believe it or not, we also know a thing or two about raising babies." Grace said with a smirk, which remained even as they approached the doorway.

"We'll be gone at least a few hours. Plenty of time for you two to give us another grandchild."

"Mama!" Serena shouted, her face bright red.

When the door shut, Serena sighed deeply while Ash and Pikachu laid back on the bed. However, Pikachu noticed Ash staring out the window, lost in thought.

"I have three performances planned out. Which do you think a crowd of Lucario trainers would like the best?" Serena asked with bursting enthusiasm as she took out a sketchbook and showed Ash three potential routines.

However, her husband continued to gaze out at the crystal, seemingly lost in its glow.

"Ash?"

"Huh!? Oh, sorry." Serena set her book down and sat beside him while stroking his thick hair.

"It's the aura here, isn't it."

Ash nodded, but only slightly.

"More than that. I almost feel like something, or someone is calling out to me."

"Calling out to you?"

"Hai, through aura. It's difficult to explain."

Serena rested herself on top of him with a compassionate expression.

"Do you think it might be Orahaoya?"

Ash looked back at the crystal.

"Maybe...Do you remember when I told you about the Tree of Life and Sir Aaron's Lucario?"

Serena nodded with understanding.

"Ahh, I see. You think Orahaoya might still be alive. Trapped in the crystal like Sir Aaron's Lucario was.

"Hai." Ash admitted before taking a deep breath.

"If there's a chance she's in there-" Serena leaned in and planted a passionate kiss on Ash's lips, remaining there for almost a minute.

"You're such a caring person, Ash. That's what I love about you! If she is still alive in that crystal, we'll find a way to free her!" Serena declared with a fiery smile.

"Hai!" Ash cried back.

"Pika!"

"Grauu!"

"But, does it have to be right now?" Ash's eyes widened slightly when he noticed Serena's expression change.

"We do have the room to ourselves for a while." Serena said while stroking her finger across his muscular chest.

Ash responded by wrapping both arms around his wife tightly and pulling her into another fiery kiss.

Pikachu nervously sweatdropped, but the two Charizards gave excited looks, particularly when Ash slowly moved his hands onto Serena's backside.

Ash saw himself in Ora's jungles with Lucario, both racing through the canopy after a shadowy Pokemon who resembled Lucario.

"Wait!"

"Grouuu!"

"Aaron! Aaron!" The Pokemon kept crying.

They continued to pursue the mysterious Pokemon, eventually reaching the village and hotel. There Ash and Lucario yelped when they saw the figure picking up Satoshi.

"Aaron, I've finally found you!"

"Hey! What are you doing!?"

"Grouu!" Before they could do anything, the Pokemon vanished entirely, Satoshi too.

"Satoshi!"

Ash's eyes shot open, and he sprung upward, covered in sweat and almost hyperventilating.

"Huh? Ash, what's wrong?" Serena asked. She'd been laying on his chest and now woke up too, looking quite tired.

"Pika." Pikachu yawned while stretching like a cat.

Ash jumped out of bed in just his boxers and sprinted over to a crib set up beside their sleeping Charizards. However, he didn't do so alone. Lucario had come out of his Pokeball and similarly raced over, looking just as frantic.

Finally, they reached the crib together and saw Satoshi fast asleep inside. Both breathed a heavy sigh of relief before Ash carefully cradled his son.

"Ash?" Serena asked, now slightly nervous herself.

"I'm sorry, I just had a bad dream."

"Grou." Lucario muttered while nodding in agreement.

"Wait a minute, did you two have the same dream?" Ash and Lucario nervously looked at each other, realizing that they'd sensed an aura during the dream, one they'd felt earlier that day.

Both stared out back at the glowing crystal again.

"It couldn't be."
