Chapter 5: Mother of Satoshi
Serena held Roserade's right hand while dancing with her across a stage in the hotel of the Resort Area in Sinnoh before a vast crowd.
"Water and Dark Pulse!"
"Cham!"
Swampert and Pancham both unleashed their attacks together, which combined into dark water that circled Serena and Roserade, who now used Aromatherapy to enhance the water further.
The audience gazed in awe at Serena's team's dance. Pancham and Swampert now joined in, their combined moves only enhancing the beauty of their masterfully coordinated dance.
"Pika!" Pikachu cried out in joy. Much like the rest of the audience, he too became lost in the enticing performance while watching from a private box. However, he didn't sit alone. Charline, Delphox, and Absol joined him alongside Ash, Grace, and Zach.
"My, she's so beautiful." Grace said while watching her daughter.
"Go, Serena! Show them your strength!" Ash cried. There was more than one meaning to Ash's proclamation. Serena braced herself as a fresh sense of fatigue and sickness struck. Despite this, the Kalos Queen pressed on, partly helped by Aromatherapy but mostly by her fiery determination and Ash's encouragement.
For the last few days, she'd suffered through recurring stomach sickness and fatigue but insisted on pressing on with her performance in Sinnoh despite Grace and Ash assuring Serena she didn't have to.
While slightly concerned for her well-being, Ash supported Serena's dedication and continued to cheer for his wife.
Zach, too, cheered, even though he'd done so more passionately for Dawn, who'd opened up the showcase.
"Moonblast!" Serena cried. Sylveon leaped over Serena and blasted the dark water with fairy energy and completed its display around them.
This sent the audience into a frenzy of applause, including Serena's other Pokemon, Grace and Ash. The Kalos Queen bowed with her Pokemon but then held her stomach tightly, almost immediately reaching backstage.
"Serena!" Dawn and Zoey, both in dresses like Serena and the other performers, raced over as her Pokemon similarly helped her remain standing.
"Merci." Serena muttered while sweatdropping.
"Geez, Serena, if you're feeling sick, then you shouldn't be performing. No one will think less of you." Dawn sighed.
"Lup." Piplup said sternly while crossing his flippers together.
"I will. Performing is when I feel the most alive! Especially with mama and Ash here."
"Ahhh, you're going to wear yourself out." Dawn sighed as Zoey smirked.
"She reminds me of someone I know."
Dawn and Piplup sweatdropped.
"Regardless, it was a beautiful performance. It lit something inside of me and gave me some ideas for routines with my team. If you don't mind." Zoey said, earning a very friendly smile from the Kalos Queen.
"Of course, I'd love to see them-" Serena nearly doubled over as a new sensation hit, a tenderness in her breasts.
"Ahhh." Dawn and Zoey saw Serena holding her chest before looking at each other.
"Serena, how long have you been feeling sick like this?" Dawn asked.
"Well, it's been on and off again for a few weeks. But my chest has been sore for longer."
Zoey narrowed her eyes.
"Serena, would you mind coming to the Pokemon Center with us?"
"Ehh? What about Ash and Zach's match?"
"It can wait." Dawn picked up on what Zoey meant and nodded before taking one of Serena's arms.
"We insist." Dawn said while Zoey took the other arm and guided the young woman off.
Later that day, Ash stood beside Zach on one end of the Resort Area's battlefield while Noland and Tower Tycoon Palmer.
Noland had his Articuno out and Palmer a Heatran.
"It's a legendary battle, ladies and gentlemen! Frontier Brains Noland and Palmer have sent out two legendary Pokemon! How will Kaiser Ash and Elite Four Zach respond!?" The crowd eagerly awaited this answer too.
"Legendary Pokemon! Now we're talking! Man, Dawn and the others are gonna be sorry they missed this!" Zach threw his fist up with eager anticipation while Ash and Pikachu glanced up at the now-empty private box.
Apparently, Dawn and Zoey insisted on taking Serena to see a doctor, given her recent stomach sickness, and Grace too joined in. Ash didn't mind Serena missing his match, especially since he knew she'd been a bit sick for a while, but a part of him wanted to see if she was ok.
"Pika!" Ash turned to his partner, who assured him Serena would be fine.
"Hai, you're right, Pikachu." Ash's fiery passion for battles returned as he stroked Pikachu's face and then took out a Pokeball.
"Our turn! Go Cinderace!"
"I choose you, Gliscor!"
Cinderace and Ash's Gliscor came out of their Pokeballs, causing the audience to cheer once more.
"A Gliscor and Cinderace?" Palmer muttered in disbelief before Noland shook his head.
"Don't underestimate them." Palmer sweatdropped and nodded, remembering who precisely they faced.
"Right, Heatran, use Earth Power!"
"Blizzard!" Heatran smashed his front legs into the ground at the same time Articuno flew well above the battlefield and unleashed a thunderous icy storm.
"Gliscor give Cinderace a hand."
Gliscor almost effortlessly lifted Cinderace up and took the sky, even as Articuno's Blizzard came straight for them.
Noland and Palmer's hearts raced face, knowing well that the super effective attack from a Legendary Pokemon might just knock Gliscor out, even if he was the Kaiser's Pokemon.
However, Ash and Zach showed no fear.
"Let's return Gliscor's favor, Pyro Ball!"
Cinderace kicked up a small rock and then slammed it straight for Articuno, the stone exploding into a raging flame that burned through the incoming Blizzard and cleared a path straight towards Articuno.
"Dodge it!" Articuno flew straight down and avoided Pyro Ball while Heatran prepared to help.
"Stone Edge!"
Heatran hurled a dozen rocks up straight for their opponents, only for Gliscor to let Cinderace go.
"Double Kick!"
Cinderace easily smashed the incoming rocks apart with a series of earthshaking kicks while Articuno made a sharp turn to face him.
"Ancient Power!"
"Night Slash!"
Noland and Articuno's eyes widened when they saw Gliscor swoop in and cut the boulders into dust with a series of slashes almost impossible to see. Gliscor and Ash's eyes flashed blue as she did so.
"Ice Beam!"
"Low Kick!"
"Giga Impact!"
Gliscor hit Articuno like a racing freight train, causing the audience to jump when she made impact, an explosive concussion sound following. Similarly, Cinderace hit Heatran with Low Kick and embedded him into the ground.
When Gliscor and Cinderace assembled beside their trainers, they saw both legendary Pokemon on the ground, trembling with swirled eyes.
"Articuno and Heatran are unable to battle! The winners are Kaiser Ash and Elite Four Zach!"
The audience let loose their applause while Gliscor raced back into Ash's arms.
"Awesome job, Gliscor."
"You too Cinderace!"
Ash and Zach managed to escape the swarming crowds and get back to the main resort hotel.
"Ashamed the battle couldn't last longer. It's not every day you get to battle two legendary Pokemon alongside the Kaiser." Zach sighed while taking a drink of sake provided by the resort. The two and their Pokemon rested in Zach/Dawn's room to avoid the reporters who patrolled Ash and Serena's floor looking for them.
Gliscor ate dinner with Pikachu, Torkoal, Oshawott, Talonflame, Donphan, and Gengar alongside Zach's other Pokemon, including Lucario.
Cinderace regaled the rest of Zach's team with the details of her and Gliscor's recent victory over two legendary Pokemon, sounding quite proud, only to notice Lucario anxiously staring at the door.
"Grouu." Lucario muttered, wondering when Dawn and her Lobunny would return, causing Cinderace to snarl in frustration.
Ash, however, stared at his glass of sake with a somewhat lost expression.
"Why aren't Serena and the others back yet?"
"Relax, they're probably just avoiding those damn reporters." Zach assured Ash, who slowly nodded and took a drink.
"You're probably right. She was doing fine in her performance-" Ash started before the door slowly opened.
All eyes turned to see Dawn, Zoey, and Grace slowly guiding a trembling Serena into the room before quickly shutting the door behind them.
"Alright, we're safe." Grace assured her daughter, who almost looked pale.
"There you guys are. I hope you weren't in the mood to see legendary Pokemon." Zach laughed before Dawn shot him a stern look with Piplup.
"Serena, are you ok!" Ash raced over with his Pokemon.
"Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu asked Sylveon, who sweatdropped and looked around with evasive eyes.
"What happened!?" Ash's heart raced when he saw the look on his wife's face and Dawn's, for that matter. However, Zach and Cinderace took note of Zoey and Grace's contrasting expressions. Zoey appeared to be holding in laughter while Grace beamed with an overwhelming sense of happiness.
"Nani?" Zach muttered.
"Ash, there's something I need to tell you." Serena tried to steady herself but continued to tremble.
"Your sickness! It's not getting worse, is it!?"
"Actually, it's probably going to get worse and worse." Grace said with a smirk, earning a sharp expression from Serena.
"Nani!?" Ash yelped before Serena took a deep breath and placed both hands on his shoulders.
"Ash, I'm pregnant."
Zach spat out his sake and began violently coughing.
"Pika!?"
"Gli!?"
Ash's other Pokemon gave similar dumbstruck reactions while the Kaiser himself started trembling.
"Pregnant, pregnant?" Ash muttered, slowly looking down at Serena's stomach.
"It's a miracle! Only five months after your wedding! Thanks for not making me wait for my first grandbaby!" Grace beamed while holding both hands to her face.
Serena was about to speak again when she saw Ash kneel down and rest his head against her stomach.
"Baby, our baby." Tears filled Serena's eyes as she nodded and felt Ash caress her stomach. He took a deep breath and flashed his eyes while reaching inside. The Kaiser's heart raced when he felt another aura within Serena, another person's presence.
Many months later, Felix, Delia, and Grace all braced themselves behind the glass separating them from the delivery room.
"Hmmm, how much longer!?" Delia groaned while squeezing Felix's hand, causing him to grunt.
"Damn it. You're squeezing harder than when you gave birth." Felix's Lucario snickered.
"Come on, Delia. You remember how long a woman can be in labor for. Serena took over ten hours. It was quite excruciating."
"Not Ash. He came out in two!" Grace narrowed her eyes at Delia with a hint of resentment.
"Lucky you."
"Ahhh! We're not too late, are we!?" Bonnie, Clemont, and Shauna came sprinting in with Professor Sycamore. Ash and Serena had been visiting Grace in Lumoise city when she went into labor.
Felix and Delia had also come along, both remaining extremely clingy as Serena's due date approached.
"Not yet." Felix grunted.
Shauna almost covered her mouth when she heard Serena's cries of excruciating pain.
Inside the delivery room, Ash's Charizard, Lucario, Meganium, Sceptile, and Sirfetch'd sweatdropped when they saw Serena nearly crush their trainer's hand.
"Grauuu." Charizard went pale as he glanced over at Charline, who caressed her stomach, knowing that she too would soon lay an egg and dreaded suffering what Ash endured.
Pikachu, Sylveon, Absol, Delphox, Pancham, Swampert, and Roserade tried to ease Serena while a hospital Wigglytuff used heal pulse to try and ease her pain.
Ash, however, didn't think it worked, considering how hard she compressed his hand. However, the Kaiser managed to endure by focusing on their baby's aura, which had grown steadily over the last nine months. Now he felt it clearer than ever. The baby was communicating with him.
"Alright, Mrs. Ketchum, you're nearly ready to push!" The doctor said as he checked on her again and waved another nurse over.
"You hear that, Serena, just a bit-" Ash started before she turned on him with fiery eyes.
"Shut up! You did this to me, Ash! I just want to pain to stop!" Serena moaned in agony she'd never imagined possible.
Ash sweatdropped with their Pokemon but remained strong. He used some of his aura to strengthen Serena, allowing her to breathe a bit easier.
"Oui! It's time, start pushing!"
"Ahhhhh!" Serena clenched her teeth and pushed with everything she had.
"Ahh, it's happening!" Bonnie cried while Clemont trembled.
Grace and Delia held each other while Felix watched closely.
"Come on."
"Ahhh!" With one final push, Ash and the others heard the distinct sound of a baby's wailing.
The world slowed around Ash, and he saw the doctor stand up with something, no, someone in his arms.
Ash trembled for a moment but then found the strength to approach, Pikachu on his shoulder.
"Kaiser, say hello to your son." The doctor very carefully handed the baby to Ash, who held him tightly.
The baby continued to cry as Ash and Pikachu stared at him in wonder. His aura was exactly that which Ash felt growing inside Serena for the last nine months, a distinct yet familiar aura.
"Grouuu." Lucario trembled as he reached over and touched the baby's head. After a moment, several tears fell from the aura Pokemon's eyes, followed by a loving smile.
"Grouuu."
After a few moments, the baby stopped crying and looked straight back at his father, who saw Serena's eyes before him. Ash nearly blinked when his son's eyes flashed blue as he instinctively reached out to him with aura and giggled before extending both hands to try and touch Ash.
An overwhelming sense of love Ash never imagined possible swept over him, and he teared up while holding the baby close. A few moments later, the baby's eyes flashed again, and he looked over at Serena.
The Kalos Queen had just caught her breath when she opened her eyes and saw a baby staring back at her.
"Eh?"
"Serena, he's here." Ash very carefully set the baby in Serena's arms, and she stared back at him. Tears swelled the young woman's eyes as the same overwhelming sense of love took her as it had Ash, but perhaps more.
Serena couldn't vocalize her love for the infant in her arms, so she merely held him close and continued crying while Ash wrapped his arms around them both.
"Ohhh! Let me in!" Delia and Grace kicked the door open and raced inside.
Ash and Serena both opened their eyes together and realized they were still in the tent. An overwhelming sense of lament took the parents, and they longed to return to their memories.
However, Ash found the strength to sit up and did so.
"Pika!" Ash heard Pikachu claim he was at the secret entrance waiting for them.
"Thanks, Pikachu. Serena, come on, we need to get ready." He looked back down and saw her hugging the stuffed Charmander doll tightly.
"Serena, there's no time for this. Today is the day we get Satoshi back. Pikachu is waiting for us at the secret entrance." Serena sat up, fiery determination returning to her face.
"Let's go!" She roared and stormed out of the tent with Ash close behind.
"We're coming, Satoshi!"
Meanwhile, Orahaoya slept soundly on her hammock with Satoshi in her arms. As the legendary Pokemon rested, her aura naturally reached out to Satoshi's when suddenly she heard a familiar voice.
"We're coming, Satoshi."
Orahaoya nearly jumped up and breathed heavily.
"Aaron!" Orahaoya frantically held Satoshi tightly in her arms when she noticed the baby giggling with clear excitement in his aura.
"Ahhh, it was just a dream. Good morning Aaron." She nuzzled his face before taking him to the temple exterior. One of her guardians arrived with some Miltank milk, allowing Orahaoya to feed Satoshi while taking in the morning air and reach out to the island's aura.
However, in doing so, she felt the invaders' presence nearby and growled.
"They're still here."
"Mentor, we've recovered from the battle yesterday. If you lead us yourself, we'd surely succeed!" Orahaoya hesitated and nervously looked around to see her Aura Guardians and Lucarios all crying out for the same.
Orahaoya stared down at Satoshi, who eagerly guzzled down the milk and caressed his head.
"I need time to assemble additional help. Make the preparations."
"Yes, mentor!"
Just then, Orahaoya noticed Satoshi's excitement boom again, and he cried out in glee.
"Aaron?" Orahaoya grew suspicious and almost reached out with her aura when Riley and his Lucario raced over with frantic expressions.
"Mentor! The invaders are taking the offensive!"
"What!?"
The others looked just as shocked.
"Yes, Mentor! They've broken camp and are approaching the mountain's base in force!"
Orahaoya grit her teeth and looked back at Satoshi.
"Grrr, there's no time then." It took everything she had to hand Satoshi over to a pair of Lucario.
"Guard him with your lives!"
"Grouu!"
"Grouu!" Orahaoya teleported herself to the top of the mountain and stared down at Mr. Ubbe's forces, who were now assembled directly beneath them.
"Get off my island!" Orahaoya raced down with most of the Guardians beside her.
"Here they come! Get ready!" Maylene cried as the guards, and their Pokemon got into fighting positions.
Mr. Ubbe and Floki stared at Orahaoya, who led the way and smiled.
"She's come down. You can move in now." The businessman said into an earpiece.
Floki and his Gengar trembled when they saw Orahaoya approaching them.
"Sir, are you sure this was a good idea?"
Mr. Ubbe smiled while Urshifu stepped in front of him.
"Relax, she won't remain for long. Just make sure our other team is ready."
Floki nodded.
"Yes, sir."
Ash heard Mr. Ubbe and waved the others forward. He, Serena, Felix, Daniel, and Cynthia now carefully approached a waterfall along the base of the mountain. A familiar aura presence lingered, and Ash stopped just in front of the raging water before Pikachu burst out and landed in his arms.
"Pikachu!"
"Pika!" As happy as they were to see Pikachu ok, Satoshi remained at the forefront of their minds. Pikachu knew this too and mirrored their serious expressions before pointing inside.
"Pika, Pikachu!" Pikachu told Ash via aura that Satoshi was still inside the temple with only a handful of guards.
"Hai! Well done, Pikachu! Let's go!" Ash led his party through the raging water and inside the hollow interior. Upon entering, he and the others, save Serena, realized that the mountain was an aura nexus. Nowhere was the power stronger than where they stood, and it left them in awe.
"Satoshi, where is he!?" Serena snapped the others out of their daze, and they quickly reached out to try and find his aura. Unfortunately, the nexus made this nearly impossible.
"Damn it. We'll need to get closer!" Felix growled.
"Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu warned or rather reminded Ash of Orahaoya's teleportation abilities.
"Ahhh, Pikachu's right. If any of her Guardians spot us, she'll appear-" Ash blinked as an idea came to his head, and he turned to Serena, who stood in her wing-suit.
"Here's the plan."
Several minutes later, the two Lucarios watching Satoshi noticed his excitement grow exponentially and even saw the baby seemingly try to crawl towards the ledge.
"Grouu!" One frantically picked him up and set the baby back down further inside the temple.
"Let's go!"
"Grauuu!" The temple shook, and those who remained inside gasped as they saw Ash flying up with Charizard and Swellow while Daniel similarly flew up on his Charizard, Cynthia on Garchomp, and Felix on Ash's Garchomp.
"Ahhh! Intruders! Mentor! Mentor!" One of the remaining Guardians cried.
Orahaoya had defeated Maylene and Cameron's Lucarios when she heard the warning from her Guardian inside the temple and frantically looked back up.
"Aaron!"
Mr. Ubbe watched with growing satisfaction as she vanished, and the Guardians quickly followed their Mentor back to the temple.
"Oh no, Ash!" Maylene cried.
"Team two, prepare to move in."
Ash leaped off Charizard and hurled Lucario's Pokeball forward.
"Grouuu!"
"Let's go, Lucario!" Ash roared while Mega Evolving him.
Together, the two fought their way through a trio of Guardians and Lucario with ease, while Pikachu, Charizard, Swellow, Garchomp, and Greninja swiftly dispatched groups of wild Pokemon who now began to funnel inside, each answering Orahaoya's call to arms.
Felix, Daniel, and Cynthia similarly fought off the last few Guardians and more wild Pokemon, while Ash and Lucario kept a vigilant watch for Orahaoya.
"Come on, come on."
"Pika!" Pikachu pointed to one area of the temple, and Ash went still. The Kaiser stared across the mountain interior and saw Satoshi guarded by two Lucario.
"Satoshi." Ash muttered. His baby cried out in excitement and reached for Ash. It took every ounce of strength and discipline Ash possessed not to immediately set out for his son, yet he had no choice.
Felix felt much the same and grunted with his Lucario.
"The plan, the plan." He muttered to himself.
Just then, Mega Lucario sensed her and threw himself in front of Ash.
"Grouuu!" Orahaoya appeared directly in front of Ash, very nearly striking him. Luckily, Mega Lucario blocked her attack and shoved Orahaoya backward.
"Why can't you just leave us alone!" She almost sobbed.
Moments later, Riley reappeared and leaped down with his Lucario.
Greninja leaped up and sliced Lucario unconscious before he even hit the ground, but within moments four Mega Lucario emerged and surrounded him.
"Gre." Greninja kept his blades up and remained on guard. Felix, Daniel, and Cynthia soon found themselves in a similar situation with Guardians, Lucario, and wild Pokemon swarming in.
Charizard and the others kept the wild Pokemon at bay, allowing Ash and Mega Lucario to focus their efforts on Orahaoya.
Synchronizing their auras, Ash and Mega Lucario mirrored each other's moves while fighting Orahaoya and Riley together. The legendary Pokemon was taken aback at just how strong Mega Lucario was but snarled regardless and kept pace with his lightning-fast and thunderous strikes.
Orahaoya unleashed Golem-sized Aura Sphere, only for Mega Lucario to counter with his own. As the dust settled, he sped forward and landed a clean blow on Orahaoya's chest, causing her to stumble backward and grunt.
"You are skilled young one, but you have much to learn about aura!"
Before Mega Lucario could react, Orahaoya threw down an aura portal and vanished.
"Grouu?" Orahaoya appeared directly behind Mega Lucario. Ash's Pokemon barely reacted in time but managed to block the incoming strike. Yet even as he did so, Orahaoya vanished again.
"Grouuu!?" Mega Lucario now began to sweat nervously.
"Lucario, she's using Aura to teleport!" Mega Lucario nodded and closed his eyes together with Ash as they joined their senses and sensed Orahaoya's aura.
Mega Lucario swept his leg and blocked Orahaoya's incoming kick as he reappeared beside him. Orahaoya now snarled in frustration as Mega Lucario blocked each attack no matter how many times she teleported. She did keep Lucario locked in a defensive posture but didn't realize he studied her technique carefully.
Ash similarly kept Riley and another Guardian at bay and realized Orahaoya was thoroughly bogged down.
"Now, Serena!" He cried via aura message.
Satoshi cried in joy once again as he saw a familiar Mega Charizard Y surge upward from below, Serena on her back.
"I'm coming, Satoshi!"
"Grauuu!" Charline flew straight for Orahaoya's quarters and unleashed Heat Wave on the two Lucario before they could warn Orahaoya. Both lurched backward and attempted to use Aura Sphere on the Charizard Y, but Serena had other plans.
"Fire Spin! Psycho-cut!" Serena cried while hurling two Pokeballs onto the platform. Delphox and Absol came out while unleashing their moves on the unsuspecting Lucario, who stumbled upon absorbing the blows.
"Air Slash!"
"Grauuu!" Charline flew in and finished them off with two powerful strokes, knocking both Lucario out.
Without wasting another moment, the Kalos Queen leaped off Charline's back and glided down towards her baby, who cried out in joy upon seeing her.
"Satoshi!" Serena landed, knelt down, and swept Satoshi into her arms. Serena hadn't felt this way since she'd first laid eyes on him, and tears swelled the young mother's eyes.
"It's ok. Mommy's got you." Serena sobbed while kissing Satoshi's cheek and hugging him like never before. Charline, Delphox, and Absol similarly teared up as they came around Satoshi and nuzzled him.
Felix battled Gima but saw this alongside his Lucario.
"Ahhhh." The older man exhaled deeply even as he continued his fight.
Ash, too wanted to experience an overwhelming sense of relief but knew the danger wasn't over. He and Mega Lucario grunted when they saw a look of utter terror appear on Orahaoya's face.
"Aaron!"
"Lucario, don't let her teleport!" Ash had just blasted Riley, and the other Guardian back as every one of his Pokemon closed in on Orahaoya.
Yet none moved fast enough, and the Mother of Aura held out both hands before vanishing into an aura portal.
"Serena!"
"Pika!"
"Grauuuu!"
"Grouuu!"
Serena noticed Satoshi yelp in fright while pointing to the ground in front of them.
"Satoshi?" Her joy instantly faded into terror as she saw Orahaoya appear with a feral expression.
"Put Aaron down this instant! Give me back my baby right now!"
Serena returned Orahaoya's fury and stared down the legendary Pokemon while holding Satoshi tighter.
"He's not your baby! He's mine!"
"Grouuu!" Orahaoya snarled and threw herself at Serena, only for Charline, Absol, and Delphox to intervene.
Serena gasped as she saw her three Pokemon go down in three successive blows, each collapsing to the ground with swirled eyes as Orahaoya stood over them, panting heavily.
Satoshi started crying and clung to Serena tighter with a frightened look.
Orahaoya didn't understand it was her he feared, or rather what she would do to his mother. She interpreted the baby's terror as being separated from her and continued breathing heavily.
"Hand him over! I won't ask again!" Serena now sweat profusely and backed up until she reached the edge.
"Damn it." Serena couldn't fly with Satoshi in her arms, and Charline was unconscious.
Ash, Daniel, and Cynthia's flying Pokemon tried desperately to reach them, but a fresh wave of wild Pokemon came in droves, blocking their paths.
"Serena! Satoshi!"
"Pika!"
Mega Lucario sweat like crazy, a feeling of helplessness overcoming him and Ash. Yet, at that moment, they came together and combined their auras. Trainer and Pokemon's eyes glowed blue, and the answer became clear.
Serena closed her eyes and held Satoshi tightly as Orahaoya raised her fist. However, the baby's crying stopped, and he shouted joyfully.
"Grouuu!" Serena opened her eyes and saw Orahaoya stumble backward after Mega Lucario leaped from an aura portal before them.
"Lucario!?"
"Impossible!"
Orahaoya frantically threw down another aura portal and vanished, only for Mega Lucario to do the same. He appeared directly in front of Orahaoya again and again while Satoshi cried out in support.
Serena similarly watched in awe as Ash mirrored Mega Lucario's fighting movements from a distance as if he too fought Orahaoya. The Mother of Aura found herself beaten back again and again before, finally, Mega Lucario appeared directly in front of her with an Aura Sphere prepared.
"Now, let me teach you a lesson, Mentor!"
Orahaoya's eyes went wide, and the Golem-sized blast carried her across the temple chasm before she landed in a series of vines.
Riley, Gima, the other Guardians, their Lucario, and the wild Pokemon all staggered as Orahaoya's influence over them vanished.
"Ohhh, what happened?" Riley groaned as he and his Lucario held their heads.
Daniel, Cynthia, and their Pokemon exhaled in relief.
"Finally."
"Lucario, thank you!" Serena would've embraced him had she not held Satoshi in her arms. Mega Lucario didn't care. He merely turned back to his trainer's son with an immense feeling of joy and relief.
Soon, Ash arrived on Charizard and raced over to his family. Serena had resumed sobbing in pure elation as she hugged Satoshi.
"Ash." She almost choked as he embraced them both. Tears streamed down Ash's face as he kissed Serena, then stroked their son's head.
"Pika." Pikachu, Charizard, and the others similarly teared up and came around the baby.
Soon, Felix arrived thanks to Daniel's Charizard and raced into the embrace beside his Lucario.
"Satoshi!" The grandfather wrapped his arms around all three with a similar sense of raw emotion.
Orahaoya's vision grew blurry, but she still saw Satoshi through his aura and reached out toward the baby, tears in her eyes.
"Aaron."
Just then, the peace was broken by the sound of helicopters.
"Eh?" All eyes turned to three choppers with the Icelandic Corporation's logo on them that flew in and lowered themselves around Orahaoya. The legendary Pokemon tried to get up, but her fight with Mega Lucario left the Mother of Aura too weak.
"Hello, Orahaoya." The Legendary Pokemon's eyes widened when she saw Mr. Ubbe and his Urshifu in the center helicopter, both smiling down at her.
"You!?"
"Yes, me."
"Mr. Ubbe!?"
"Orahaoya!" Gima and the others cried as Urshifu seized Orahaoya and slammed her into a restraining device.
"Thank you, Kaiser, and you too, Satoshi. None of this would've been possible without your help!"
The Aura Guardians cried out in terror as Mr. Ubbe flew off with Orahaoya.
"No!" Gima screamed.
Satoshi too, cried out for Orahaoya and began to cry when she vanished in the helicopter.
"Mr., Mr. Ubbe." Ash muttered. Serena wasn't sure what to think. As confusing as this was, she also wasn't eager to react when to the kidnapping of the one who stole her baby.
Even so, seeing a Pokemon get stolen like that was too much.
"Ash-" Daniel started as he and Cynthia landed beside them.
The Kaiser reached down and kissed Satoshi's forehead.
"Serena, take him back to the village. I'm going after them."
"Grouuu!"
"Pika!"
"Me too!" Felix roared.
Daniel, Cynthia, and the other Guardians raced in to join them while Serena nodded.
"Be careful." The Kalos Queen mounted Charline, who'd regained consciousness, and flew off. It took surprisingly little time for them to reach Gisei village where most of the inhabitants awaited them.
"Kalos Queen Serena has returned!"
"Her baby's back!"
"What about the Kaiser and the others!?"
"Serena! Satoshi!" Grace and Delia came sprinting forward and nearly swept Serena into their arms.
"Ahhh! Baby!" Delia sobbed as she practically pried Satoshi from Serena's arms. Grace carefully handed Charline her egg back, which the Charizard graciously accepted and began nuzzling.
"Where are the others?" Serena looked back at the mountain and sighed.
"They're rescuing her."
Author's note
Yep Satoshi is safe, for now, Serena and Ash
Yet now Orahaoya is in danger, Mr. Ubbe, a twist villain I'm sure nobody saw coming whatsoever
In all seriousness there's only a few chapters left and expect a sizable climax
On another note, once this story is finished I'll move on to three short stories revolving around Ash's children. Each taking place in the same story overall just focusing on one of his and Serena's kids
1. Will be about a League/Champion title
2. A proper academy fic about Sky battles in Kalos
3. A contest circuit in Hoenn
If anyone has an OC they'd like to submit for one of these fics, please let me know via PM or review. However, I will admit, #2 and #3 are in more need of them than #1
So until next time,
Please review, comment, suggest, or ask(VIA PM)
