Lal threw a small bundle of clothes at Violet who had been sitting on the couch reading magical fairytales to Yuni, always morphing her voice to match the character.

The redhead just stared at it a bit confused "What do you want?"

"Go and change, we're going swimming. It should fit you… it's adjustable."

"I don't need a bikini."

"You wanna swim in clothes?"

"I don't want to swim." she actually was a bit embarrassed about the fact she had never learned. Even in her second task she had just been able to pull it off because of the Gillyweed and straight up dog paddling. Not that it had helped with her nerves at that time. The only reason she had even gone into the water was because of her fear for Ron. Her urge to save him had been way stronger than all the bad memories from being pressed underwater.

Reborn who had come down the stairs at that moment just threw her an unimpressed look "No reason for you to not match the occasion."

Colonnello shortly behind him, already only in shorts grinned "Come on Sunbathing is a thing too. You have to come either way, kora."

Violet rolled her eyes at the insistence but she still excused herself to go change. She wasn't even confused that Yuni stayed seated, the little seer had probably known and was ready to go.

The cloud changed quickly and threw her button down from before over it. Even grabbing her backpack with the extension charm and throwing it over her shoulder. Before picking up Oodako and placing him around her neck.

On her ascent down the stairs she could already see her bondmates carrying a few bags filled to the brim with drinks and other needed supplies. She didn't even say anything, just extended her hand towards the rain.

Colonnello looked at her confused for a few seconds before he put his hand onto her open palm.

Violet had to actually snort because of that "Yes, we can hold hands if you're too scared to walk alone but I actually wanted your bag."

"Why would you take the bag?"

"Because I want to prove who's the biggest macho here. Wanted to flex my muscles." she said dryly before she let go of his hand to just pry it off him, which he let her do without much resistance, a bit confused by her behaviour.

Violet didn't let that stop her and finally let the bag fall into her backpack.

The rest of the Arcobalenos just watched in curiosity. She again pried something out of his hand, this time taking the parasol from him and with a deadpan stare let it vanish into her backpack as well.

"So does anyone want to give me their stuff now?"

Immediately several items were offered to her and she stored them as well. Before she could throw it over her shoulder again, Reborn had already grabbed it from her.

"It's a charmed featherlight… I can carry it myself."

"It wouldn't do to let a woman be the only one carrying something."

"Chivalrous today, are we?"

"Always."

She snorted at that but let him keep the bag. He hadn't even carried anything before but if he wanted to put himself in a better position in front of her she wouldn't stop him. Why would she complain about less work?

She had barely stepped outside when Colonnello stopped her again.

Violet looked up at him "What? You really want to hold my hand?"

Colonnello just stuck his tongue out at her before he placed a pair of sunglasses and a cap on her. "You're pale and a redhead and how can I be sure that witches don't burn in the sunlight, kora?"

"The last time I checked I hadn't become a vampire. Even if I was, this wouldn't help."

He just flicked her on the nose before he hurried back to trailing after Lal.

Violet just fixed the hat so that it would sit more securely on her before closing the distance to walk next to Yuni.

The little sky did extend her hand towards her, expecting Violet to take it.

The cloud had to smile at that and did accept the invitation. It wasn't her fault that she was a big fan of skinship and Yuni was just the perfect partner for that. She was more than just happy about it, while Violet still mourned the lost opportunities with Teddy she at least could live out all these little things through the young sky.

The walk was accompanied with light bantering but they made it to the lake in the middle of the woods.

Violet let Oodako in the water before she went to Reborn who looked contemplating at the backpack, she grabbed it from him without any resistance and proceeded to fish their belongings out again.

The rest of the Arcobalenos had already gotten rid of their excessive clothes and Violet's eyes fell onto Reborn who had stepped away to change. She had really tried not to and she was more than just grateful to Colonnello that he had given her the sunglasses, otherwise it would have been way too obvious how her eyes practically stuck to him.

It was seriously not fair how he could have such a face and even a perfectly toned body. The amount of now visible skin didn't even have any tanning lines on it, just pure sunkissed skin. He didn't even have scars!

In his hand was a bottle of sun cream he was skillfully throwing around and his signature smug grin just showed her that he had noticed her staring. He casually glanced at the bottle in his hand and was already on his way over to her.

She hastily casted a nonverbal accio to find her own wizarding sun cream faster before calling out "Fon?"

To her own embarrassment the martial artist had already been next to her. "Yes?"

"Would you be so kind?" she almost threw the jar at him, which he reflexively catched.

"You have magical sun cream?" he asked.

Violet, already taking her shirt off just nodded, trying her best to not look at Reborn.

"What's the difference?"

"Perfect sun protection while you're still able to tan."

He just nodded before he started to apply it.

Reborn had made his way over to them at this point "You know you could have let me do it."

"In contrast to what you think I'm actually not into public groping." she uttered, still giving her best effort to not look at him, while leaning a bit into Fons hands, which were skillfully massaging her while he applied the product.

Colonnello, who was still busy setting the parasol up, snorted at that "Looked different at the picnic."

Violet pointedly decided to ignore him.

But Reborns slightly more huskier voice brought her out of the almost pout that had formed on her face "So you prefer it in privat?"

"I'm not even going to answer that."

"Violet, why aren't you looking at me?"

"Because your appearance ruins my day."

Suddenly he was in her line of sight, having crouched down slightly "You know I can tell when you're lying, right?"

It was really hard to focus on anything else when he was so close to her.

A dollop of sun cream suddenly met Reborns face

"My apologies." Fon hummed out.

Reborn had gotten back to his former position, cleaning the suncream up and sighing.

She had to giggle at that and Fon had finished her unreachable spots.

She took the jar from him with a quick thanks and started applying the rest herself before she went to help Yuni.

Most of the Arcobalenos had already gotten in the water at this point. Yuni followed shortly after finishing her sun protection.

Violet had taken up a spot on one of the towels and watched them playing around.

The lake was surprisingly deep. It was more of a hole in the ground than reminiscent of something like a beach. Yuni hadn't been able to stand at all and had to swim straight away. Even Oodako had been enlarged and had found a comfortable place in the water.

To be honest moments like this did make her regret that she never learned how to swim. She should really consider taking up a course when she goes back to england. She probably could have asked one of the Arcobalenos, especially Fon wouldn't have used any insane way to teach her but it still was embarrassing and she had a few too many bad memories of being underwater. The horcrux hunt didn't help either with that.

She finally leaned back and closed her eyes, trying to focus on enjoying the sun instead. She was left in peace for quite a while before she felt a shadow on her, opening her eyes just to see Reborn standing over her.

"Are you really not getting in?"

"I don't want to." she stated, focusing on not uttering a lie.

"The water is really nice."

"Yeah."

she just looked away but he sat down next to her.

"You know I actually planned this day for everyone to enjoy themselves."

"Not just to see me in a bikini?"

"That too was a factor."

She just weakly hit him "You're impossible."

"What else? After all there is no one else on earth that can do what I do."

"And narcissistic."

He just laughed at that, before nudging her with his elbow "You're sure you don't want to swim?"

"Positive."

He mustered her for a few seconds "Then what can I do to make this day more enjoyable for you?"

"I'm having fun."

"You're sitting alone."
"Yeah some peace for once."

"But you like chaos," he tried.

"No, chaos likes me."

"That's correct.'' The way he said it to her was weirdly uninterpretable, but for some reason she got embarrassed.

"You should go back into the water."

"But you're alone."

"And I like it. If you don't go I'm gonna hex your swim trunks."

"Sure you would."

"Test me."

His smirk got a bit wider "6789÷3"

Her wand was quicker in her hand than he had even noticed and the nonverbal spell hit him immediately, turning his former Black swim trunks with one yellow stripe into a print with tiny lizards on them.

He just stared at it for a second unmoving, before he started to chuckle "well I like them."

"Don't lie."

"I will treasure them forever Violet."

She just blew her cheeks up, obviously pouting and trying to come up with a comeback when Colonnello sprinted towards them.

"Violet!" he grinned and the way his eyes sparkled was something she definitely didn't like.

Before she could have reacted she had already been picked up by him.

"Let me down!"

"No more moping around. I really didn't take you for being hydrophobic, kora." he laughed out.

"I'm serious Colonnello! Let me go!" she almost yelled at him when he stepped even closer to the water.

"Sure" and with that he threw her.

Panicked rose up in her and all she could do was scream; "I can't swim!" before she met the water.

She had been right, the water was way too deep and panic filled her when she sunk underwater, already flailing around with her arms to get back to the surface. Her struggle was immediately interrupted when another body hit the water next to her, grabbing her and pulling her towards the surface in a matter of seconds. All she could manage to do was cling to him.

"I've got you. It's okay. I've got you. You're safe."

Her only reply was strengthening her grip around his neck, her eyes still closed and her face scrunched against him, her legs already wrapping around him.

She didn't stop it when she could feel his calm breath and him swimming back to the shore. Not even moving when he stepped out of the water.

"I have you Violet. We are out of the water. It's okay."

His strong arms wrapped around her, when he carried her back to the towels, carefully setting her down. She was still clutching on to him.

"Violet. It's okay. You're save" he repeated and gently untangled her from him, before she could feel his hands on her cheeks, slowly caressing her with his thumbs.

"You can open your eyes. It's okay."

She forced herself to follow his words and Reborns dark eyes greeted her. She could only swallow hard, panic not yet having left her body.

"It's okay Violet. I'm here, okay?"

She barely managed a nod.
